Moving towards Polly, she got a whiff of a smell which smelt like old makeup which, oddly enough, she hasn't smelt before. Polly asked her to sit down, on the other side of the table. She lit an incense and looked at Luna who seemed comforted yet curious of what will happen next and maybe a tad bit anxious too.
"Let's start by grounding. Take a couple deep breaths." And as she said, she took a couple deep breaths and so did Luna.
"PERFECT!" Luna noticed the professional touch that got added to Polly's persona almost instantly right after she entered this room.
She picked up a deck of cards placed on the right side of the table and started to shuffle them mindlessly "Luna, I think, getting a bit of clarity in your situation would be perfect. Right? Or do you want to tweak the question a little bit?"
"I mean. I think clarity is all I need. This sounds perfect." Luna uttered hurriedly.
"Great. Give me a couple minutes to work the energies a bit." Polly closed her eyes and started mouthing something, as if talking to some sort of a force or an entity, and as she did, Luna felt a gentle brush along her left arm, as if someone stroked it with a feather or a spider that ran across it. The lights flickered and the wind started to grew fierce around them. The curtain was dancing uncontrollably.
Luna's heartbeat started to grow more and more faster and she felt ...not at peace.
She waited and blinked around and it felt as if with every blink that she took, the commotion around her grew even more fiercely as if Polly was making someone enraged. Someone who's wrath was plainly unbearable.
A glass shattered and Luna let out a mild scream, putting a hand to her mouth, stopping herself. She looked back, wide eyed, shot with fear and shock, unblinking, and then looked back at Polly, who literally seemed to have gone into a state of trance. She felt utterly confused and so stricken with fear. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea, after all, to come here, she thought. The white tall towered candles placed on either sides of the table got lit up, just by themselves and Polly opened her eyes.
"Now, we can dig in." Polly said looking at Luna who was sweating and trying to contain the fear and shock.
"Oh dear, I...um... should have told you beforehand." Polly said looking concerned.
"Um... it's okay. It's fine." Luna was glad that it was over.
Polly shuffled the cards once again, handling them over to Luna, whose fingers were still shaking slightly. "Close your eyes and say the question in your mind clearly." Polly continued, "and remember to not make any confusion. Be clear and precise."
Luna nodded and did what was asked of her and gave the cards back to Polly, which, she laid out in a magician spread on the table.
"Pick any three cards." Polly said.
Luna closed her eyes and picked up a card, then another, and then another.
"Perfect." Polly said at last.
Her hands with pointy metallic nails brushed over the cards.
"Okay okay okay okay...I feel something... bring it in, closer. Yes...oh!" Polly closed her eyes still, hovering hands over the cards.
She opened her eyes and saw Luna whose eyes were still curious, looking for answers, the way she had looked at Polly at the beginning.
"Luna, out of all the 78 cards, you picked out these three cards." She picked them up, showed Luna and continued, "The Death, The tower and The Devil. I see some dark presence in your life, dear."
"What do you mean?" Luna blurted out and instantly felt that the tone may have been a bit careless or rude so she corrected herself. "I mean, I...meant, can you explain."
"Yes my dear, I will explain. I'd rather prefer you to not ask, and not disturb now. I will be speaking for a while now."
"So, I'm sensing that there is so much more than what meets the eye. There is so much that is hidden from you. And you're simply a victim of this whole gigantic trap."
"Trap?" Luna said and regretted instantly remembering what Polly asked her not to do just two minutes ago. "Oh, I'm SORRY! I swear, I won't speak now."
"This trap..." Polly continued ignoring her, "they're showing me that there is one...and ONLY ONE person in the middle of it all. Like everybody else is acting on their orders, without even realising. Huh...that's wierd." Polly picked up a card and studied it.
"This individual is your enemy. Your biggest enemy. And ..." Polly gasped whilst still looking at a card, "Is that? Oh no ...dear."
Luna was so distressed at this point and all the assumptions that her brain was making were borderline deadly.
"Luna." Polly spoke, leaving the cards at the table, looking into her eyes. "I am so sorry."
"What's the matter? What is it?" Polly was making her anxiety even worse. Maybe telling what it was right away would help her more.
Polly cleared her throat before speaking and looked the cards back again, "There is someone in your surroundings, or if I be even clearer, there is someone who is trying to be in your surroundings, to be near you. It's like, this person has some intentions and oh lord...these intentions are not good, not good at all. This is evil."
"Can you be..." Luna tried to speak but Polly cut her off mid way.
"You need to be extremely careful. Whosoever this is, they should not have any access to you, because if they do, they will be successful in whatever they are trying to do. It seems like someone is trying to put a spell on you, but this is not the good ol' spell that we wicthes do, dear. This is hideous. This is the..."
"I apologize for interrupting but I just needed to ask if what you're talking about is Black Magic?" Luna asked in such a low voice, barely above a whisper, as if they were talking in secret.
"Oh dear lord... If this is black magic, then, this is the darkest of it's forms. The one that has not been cast in ages, and all the witches and sorcerers have been admonished in the ancient times, when and if they were to use. This is said to be one of the most fatal magick in the history of time. And the one I see here."
Polly scrunched her nose and squinted her eyes at a card kept in the middle of the three.
"This...oh this...I see them. Oh...my god. It is A WOMAN. Brown." It's her.
"Do you mean...Lavender Brown?" Luna said and Polly said almost cutting her off, "Yes...That one!"
