The events of earlier really made Camp Star get their game on, first starting with the songs. Dana already had a song up her sleeve, producing the most-upbeat thing she's created to date with her magical piano and songwriting skills. The second major thing was rehearsals. Those would be their key to overall success in winning over everyone's votes. Rehearsal time slots were quickly added and posted, followed by a schedule everyone had to follow.

"This whole schedule is like we're in high school. What the—"
"No cursing in front of everyone. And it's not that bad, I think."

A work day slowed Tess down by a ton. She was worn out, exhausted, and filled to the brim with dirt—it was nasty. She couldn't bear having filthy skin, let alone practicing in it. She was glad once practice was said to be over for the night, giving her some time to get clean and relax her sore legs before dinner.
"Come on, Tess. I don't have all night to wait for you and hear you sing in the shower."
"I won't…you can hear me sing in the shower?!"
"...I didn't say shit."
Before Tess could utter another word, she was slammed with a curtain to the face.
"You do realize I can talk through the curtain, right?"
"Didn't know that."
"What is it with you and keeping track of everything I do? Do you like me or something?"
Luke went silent, letting his shower do the talking.
"Luke, freaking answer me!"
"Don't be so loud. You're disturbing my shower."
"And you're disturbing me! You keep flirting with me."
"Isn't that what you want from me, Tess? To flirt with you until you pass out?"
Tess went silent. She wasn't about to come clean to Luke like that.

Thirty minutes later, Luke's water stops and he walks out of his shower, leaving Tess alone.
"…Luke?"
"What?"
"Where are you going?"
"I'm about to go to dinner. It starts in fifteen, remember?"
"I know it does but I need a long shower, so try and get me food if I make it there late."
"Okay, Tess."
Luke left, walking back to the cabin while Tess stayed in the shower confused. Did Luke really like her? Or was he playing some type of prank on her? Tess didn't let it consume her brain and instead got out of her designated shower after a while, letting the hot air fly over her skin before blending in with the coldness of the night. As she headed back to the shared cabin, someone sneaked up on her and scared her.
"AHH!"
"Don't be loud, Tess!"
"...Dana? What're you doing?"
"Helping you back to your cabin. Even though this is a camp, people can still be creepy."
"Not surprised by that."

After dinner, everyone left for their cabins, except two people. Tess and Luke. They were sneaking to Camp Rock to see what they planned for the final jam. But when they got there, they saw something they expected to see. Kids playing with fireflies while no one was trying to plan out anything.
"What're they doing?"
"Playing with fireflies, something I remember doing when I was with them. But oh well, because they're getting their asses beat during the final jam!"
"I thought we said no cussing outside of the cabin, Tess. And don't get loud again."
As they kept spying on the opposing camp, Axel decided to drop in and spy with the future stars. He grabbed the binoculars from Luke's hands and took a look at what they were witnessing.
"It looks like The Lord of The Flies over there. There's no way they're making it through this summer."
"Right, Axel."
"I'll keep the binoculars so you two can return to the cabin and sleep."
"Okay."
Tess left first, feeling Luke follow behind her during the walk back.

Once they arrived at their shared cabin, Tess raced to her bedroom. She wanted to sleep badly, but something was about to prevent her from doing that. And that was a simple question.
"Tess, can we talk?"
"...Do you know how late it is?"
"It's only eleven. It's not that late."
"Just ask the question so I can go to bed."
Luke took Tess into his bedroom, confusing the shit out of Tess. But she didn't ask questions and just went with it.
"What do you want to talk about at this hour, Luke?"
"Can you sleep with me tonight?"
"...What?"
"Can you?"
"Sleep with you? So you want to have sex with me?"
"No, not yet anyway."
"...What did you just say."
"Nothing. But can you sleep with me? I've been feeling lonely recently, and slightly homesick."
"I guess I'll sleep with you. And it's only for one night, so don't ask again."
