"So... You're Junior's top henchman." A man mused as he walked around, swinging his cane. "And you're here to offer your services to me?"
"I guess you could say that," Shotaro replied, hands and legs tied to the chair he was sitting on. "Didn't expect such a warm welcome though."
"Ha! Well, you'll have to forgive me for that." The man barked with laughter, walking to another chair just across from the boy. "No one has ever beat the shit outta my people wanting an audience. Very peculiar, you know?"
"Well, Roman, you're someone whose attention I had to get."
"So you know who I am. You've done your research I see."
"When you live as I do, you make sure you get your research done."
"That's something I can understand..." Roman agreed, leaning forward to look Shotaro in the eye. "But there's something that I still don't understand."
"Like what?"
"How did you even find me? I'm very sure I tried my best to hide. If just any street thug Faunus could find me, how do I know someone else isn't coming here right now to kill me?"
"Your goons talk too much... And because I'd be more than enough to end you myself."
Roman burst out in laughter while a girl with different coloured hair glared at Shotaro. If looks could kill, Shotaro was sure he'd have long since melted into a puddle.
"You're very funny boy, but I take threats against my life very seriously."
Roman suddenly aimed his cane at Shotaro, now forcing him to look into the barrel of a cannon. Shotaro looked barely surprised, bored almost.
"So tell me why I shouldn't kill you right now."
"Because you need me if you're gonna keep stealing Dust across Vale."
Roman's eyebrow raised in surprise, but his cannon was still pointing at Shotaro's face. Knowing he had finally caught his interest, Shotaro continued.
"Like I said, your goons talk way too much. I don't know what you need all that Dust for and frankly, I don't give a shit; I'm only in it for the money. But if you want to do it efficiently..."
Shotaro leaned forward, putting his forehead against the barrel.
"You. Need. Me."
Roman smiled and put down his cane, finally convinced. Shotaro smiled back, happy he had done what he needed.
"You're a man that can take risks I see," Roman replied, turning to the girl behind him. "Neo, free him."
"No need," Shotaro announced, getting up from the chair that crumbled into ash behind him. "I was never captured in the first place."
"Interesting..." Roman chuckled at the sight before opening the door and heading out. Neo's glare got stronger at which Shotaro couldn't help but grin. The girl was so obviously jealous of him getting Roman's attention, that she wanted all for herself. Giving a quick hand sign that clearly meant 'I've got my eyes on you' she pranced after Roman and Shotaro followed behind.
They made their way out of the room and entered a large warehouse, filled with crates and henchmen moving around with them, some giving orders and others carrying them out. Roman turned to face Shotaro, an evil grin on his face.
"Here's what we're going to do..."
"I know you're around here somewhere..."
Yama could smell them, taste them almost; he knew they were hiding around in this unfinished building. He'd tracked them halfway across the whole city and almost lost their scent twice. This was one of the most enjoyable hunts he'd ever been on and he couldn't wait to catch them. Not that it would take much longer, he'd already worn them down significantly, barely giving them time to rest or hide. Their Auras weren't fully recharged nor did they have the energy to try and make an escape from the city.
So this was where it ended. Their final stand. Yama closed his eyes and stretched his body, slowly beginning to transform. Light fur with brown, black and white spots grew across his body and arms while his ears perked up and listened around.
"You know, I do love the smell of..."
Opening his eyes, he could see it; two trails of red leading him to his prey. He licked his lips sloppily, almost drooling, as a wide vicious grin of sharp teeth spread across his face.
"FEAR!"
He dashed forward, leaping up to where the second floor of the tall building would have been, landing on all fours and caught sight of them scrambling across scaffolding away from him. One dressed in white and another dressed in red. As they saw him, their eyes widened and the blood drained from their faces in horror. Yama couldn't help but giggle at them.
"Run Militia!"
"Melanie!"
Melanie quickly regained her sanity and pushed her sister to keep going. Militia almost fell over as her sister grabbed her hand and led her to move on while Yama was close behind, racing after them with pure glee on his face.
"You're too slow, slow, slow!"
Militia screamed in terror as a claw grabbed her leg and dragged her back, separating her from her older sister. Yama laughed chaotically as he raised her to look him in the face. She continued to scream as tears fell from her face and Yama thrust a fist into her stomach, causing her to choke on her breath.
"Militia!"
Melanie ran back for her sister, mustering any strength she could to attack the brute holding her sister bound. He instead flung Militia back at her, forcing the girl to change priorities and catch her sister safely. By the time she had done so, Yama had long since vanished from where she had last seen him.
"Got you~"
A claw grabbed her head and she was slammed into the floor face-first, cracking it and knocking her out, blood pooling where she lay. Militia scurried from beneath her sister to the edge of the building, looking down to the busy street far away below her. She looked back to see Yama picking up her sister, looking at her with disgust and then throwing Melanie away like a broken toy towards her.
"You can't run and you can't hide. So fight."
Yama pulled something out of his cloak and threw that towards her too. She recognised them instantly; it was her signature claw weapon. Her eyes widened as she looked back at him who had a look of madness on his face once more.
"Pick it up."
Yama's claws extended into knife-like talons for each finger, scraping the floor loudly as he approached her. She was frozen in fear looking between him coming towards her and her blades laying there, waiting for their owner.
"Pick. It. Up."
Tears flooded down Militia's face once more as she hurried to her weapons and equipped them, standing before Yama. Wiping her eyes, she couldn't help but feel anger at the monster in front of her. What had they ever done to deserve this? Who had they ever wronged to bring such a man after them?
"You fucking demon!" She screamed, attacking in a straightforward manner; a simple slash of her claws directed at his chest.
"Yes, you're right."
Yama deflected them with ease, a slow backhand slash of his own slash sending her tumbling back to where her sister lay. Her armour, clothes and flesh were cut into, leaving the stinging pain and leaking blood from her body to remind her that she was alive.
"I AM a demon."
Militia looked up to see the monster in human form raising a claw and as he brought it down upon her, she passed out. Yama's claw paused as he noticed and he grumbled as he transformed back and picked up the two girls, throwing each one over a shoulder.
"Well, that was fun while it lasted." He said cheerfully as if he had just come back from a day at a funfair.
"Let's see what Shotaro wants with you two, shall we?"
"Yang."
"Hi, Shotty!"
"Didn't I tell you we wouldn't be calling at 2 AM?"
"Did we?"
Shotaro dodged a lunge and his leg shot out to execute 3 swift kicks to the attacker's lower back, abdomen, and knees. The man crumpled to the floor.
"Very sure we did."
"I can't really remember~"
He quickly muted the Scroll as Atlesian Knight-130s began firing at him and he dodged, weaving between the gunfire before punching one in the chest and ripping out its insides. As the other robots began firing on him, he threw the dead robot at them, toppling the other two with ease. A wave of heat followed, melting the three robots into a pool of metal parts and wires. He unmuted as a man charged towards him with a shining blue sword.
"Why were you so silent? Enjoying the sound of my voice or something?"
"And if I was?"
"Awwww, I'm flattered you have a crush on me, Shotty! But so does almost everyone else~"
"I never said anything like that," Shotaro sighed, dodging sword slashes with ease as he held the Scroll to his ear. For each step his opponent took forward, Mercury took a parrying step backwards, ducking when necessary to avoid every stab and swipe. "What did you want?"
"Nothing much, just wondered if you wanted one last race before I leave for Beacon."
"That tie is really eating away at you, isn't it."
Shotaro's hand shot out, grabbing the man by the neck and slamming him to the ground. He coughed and groaned in agony before Shotaro raised and slammed him once more, leaving him unconscious.
"Not really, just thought you deserved another chance at winning. Who knows, I might give you a reward if you win~"
"Oh really?"
"Depends on if you're down... Also, I know fighting when I hear it. What are you doing?"
"I'm down," Shotaro answered, stepping on the bodies of the fallen men and atlesian robots as he broke open a crate. It was filled to the brim with Dust. "And I'm working right now."
"Working? You better not be doing anything illegal."
"I'm not," He lied smoothly, leaving the building and telling Roman's men to enter. The men began carrying the crates out of the building, loading them onto a truck nearby. Shotaro got in the back, sitting on one of the crates. Soon enough, the truck took off, rolling away at high speed while police sirens went off in the distance. "I'm just doing an odd job."
"Oh really? Like what?"
"Signed an NDA Yang, can't really tell you that."
"Oh sure, fine, whatever. As long as you're not killing anybody."
"I swear I'm not Yang."
"Fine then. When do you wanna?"
"Let me call you back on that," He said, looking at Neo who was once again glaring at him. The truck had reached its destination and the stolen good were being offloaded. "My boss wants to speak to me real quick."
"Suuuure."
Shotaro almost laughed at her attitude but resorted to smiling instead. Ever since he had met Yang, she never wanted to hang up unless she was about to fall asleep; something he had almost come to regret giving his number for as it made him stay awake at ungodly hours talking to her... And damn could the woman talk about anything.
"I'll get back to you soon. Go to sleep."
"Whatever, Dad. Night then."
"Night."
With his call ended, Neo spoke, but in actuality sent him a message. The mute girl hated him dearly for some reason and he could pick it up in her text messages.
"Is that all?"
"Yes."
"You didn't steal any?"
"You checked, didn't you? How could I when you're watching me like a hawk?"
"I dunno, thought you animals might have a few tricks up your sleeve."
Shotaro rolled his eyes at the obvious racism. If Shima were here, he'd have ripped her head off, which is part of the reason he didn't bring his stubborn best friend along.
"Fuck off, where's Roman."
"None of your business."
"So he's not here? No wonder you're mad."
With that, he got out of the truck and began heading home, pushing past Neo who was bristling with rage. His Scroll beeped once more and he took it out to check.
"Just be glad a freak like you is even allowed to work for him."
Shotaro barked with laughter at the text before responding:
"I might be a freak, but at least I'm not an obsessive brat."
As he continued walking, he couldn't help but smile as he heard Neo stomping behind him in vicious anger.
Today was going smoothly.
Melanie woke up on a bed that was not her own, in a room that she didn't recognise, but thankfully next to her sister. Her head was still throbbing from her scuffle with Yama and sitting up too quickly had made it worse, eyes blurry with confusion and pain.
She noticed the bedside table, with a cup of water and a few sandwiches on a plate, sitting and waiting to be picked up. In her mind she refused, but her own stomach betrayed her, very loudly. It was true that she and Militia had barely any time to rest from the madman who chased them across the entire commercial district of the city. She could take a bite, right? Clearly, someone had saved them since they weren't dead but safe and sound.
Her hopes were shattered the moment Yama kicked open the door and walked in, a mug of coffee in his hand and a plate of cookies in the other. Both of them froze; Yama hadn't expected her to be awake, while Melanie didn't expect him to be the saviour she was hoping for.
"I know this-"
Melanie shrieked, just to be immediately cut off by Yama covering his mouth, having put down the plate of cookies on the table as fast as he could. Tears threatened to spill from her eyes once more when she realised she had instead been kidnapped instead of rescued.
"Before you start fucking around, be quiet. I promise there will be no harm done to you as long as you don't scream."
Melanie nodded as fast as she could, praying the demon in front of her would let her go. Slowly, Yama did so and she didn't scream, her lips trembling as she tried to keep them together.
"Ugh, this is how I kept finding you, ya know. I can smell your fear, it's intoxicating. Makes me wanna do things I really shouldn't." Yama sighed, munching on the cookies on his plate. He pointed at the plate of stacked sandwiches. "Eat up, I know you're famished."
As if agreeing with him, Melanie's stomach rumbled loudly once more. Yama gave a short laugh in reply, to which Melanie gave him an angry look. He shrugged and continued eating, while she looked at the food as if it was nothing more than mud. What if it was poisoned or something?
"Why would I bring you all the way here to give you poisoned food? I could have killed you any time I wanted, that makes no sense."
Melanie looked back at him in surprise. Could he read minds?
"Wow, for assassins, you guys are really bad at keeping your thoughts hidden."
He really could read minds!
"No, I can't read minds, idiot! I can tell what you're thinking by just looking at you!"
Oh.
"Would you please just eat the sandwich? Or do you want me to eat one just to prove it isn't tampered with?" Yama asked. Melanie was so confused about how the monster that chased them across Vale was being almost polite with them. There was such a vast difference between the two characters she had seen of him that it was almost impossible to think they were the same person.
"If I eat one, there's gonna be one less between you and your sister though..."
"No!"
Melanie didn't mean to shout but she quickly snatched the plate off the table and began eating; she never knew a simple sandwich could taste so good and she could see why just by checking the insides. Bacon, egg, mayo, and tomato with a hit of salt and pepper all between toasted bread. This was something the chef would make for breakfast back at home. How did this maniac come up with it?
Before she knew it, she had finished the plate completely and was chugging down water just as fast. In fact, she hadn't even realised that Yama had left and come back with another plate, with even more sandwiches.
"Good thing I made extras since you're a glutton."
Melanie couldn't answer back, knowing she had wolfed down the food ridiculously fast. Her mother would never have allowed her to eat this much for sure; she wanted her daughters to be perfectly shaped like dolls at all times. She looked at the new stack, not sure if she should eat it. What would her mother think if she saw them even slightly different from normal?
"Don't worry, I've got some saved for your sister anyway."
Melanie looked up at Yama who was still munching on his tall plate of cookies. Feeling her stare he stopped eating and looked back at her in confusion.
"What? Is there something on my face?"
"Why?" Melanie asked, curious to know but simultaneously scared of the answer. "Why did you capture us? What do you even want from us?"
"Oh. I have no idea."
Yama went back to eating immediately, leaving the girl alarmed and puzzled.
"What?"
"Huh?"
"Are you being serious right now?"
"Yeah, I have no clue."
Anger rose within Melanie as she stood from the bed and glared at Yama who continued eating as if he hadn't said anything at all.
"You've got no clue?! You chased me and my sister across an entire district and you've got no fucking clue?!"
"What can I say, I enjoy the hunt."
"Is this all a big fucking joke to you?! My sister and I almost died and you've brought us here for no fucking reason?!"
"Melanie..."
A weak voice beneath the covers called out and Melanie rushed to her sister who had finally woken up, caressing her face as she made sure she was okay. Her sister looked weak and very tired.
"Militia! Are you okay? Does anything still hurt? Do you need anything-"
"Food... I'm hungry..."
"Sure Militia."
Melanie picked up the new plate and gave it to her sister who also ate at lightning speed, her hunger attempting to be satiated. Seeing Militia eat more than he expected, he left the room to go and bring back more sandwiches, leaving Melanie to wonder just how many he had made. She noticed that the door was still open when he left and her mind raced as she formulated a plan to escape.
"Militia, we need to go."
"But why?"
"He's the guy who tried to kill us!"
Immediately Militia's eyes widened in shock and she got out of bed. It was then that they realised they weren't wearing their original dresses...
"That fucking pervert!" Melanie whispered angrily, noticing that she was wearing white pyjamas while her sister wore red. Shaking her head, she cleared her thoughts and focused on what they needed to do to get out of there.
"Melanie, what do we do?"
Militia looked at her sister expectantly, worried about what would happen to them. Melanie's face softened and she resolved within herself to escape, even if it was just her younger sister who did so.
"Let's look for a way out..."
They tiptoed to the open door and peeked, noticing no one was around and neither could they hear Yama nearby. They continued along the hallway, passing many different rooms hiding as best as they could when someone walked by. Soon enough, they made it to a stairway and went down, trying their best not to make the floorboards creak under their feet. Soon enough they reached the landing...
Yama was waiting for them patiently. They began sweating as the mildly annoyed man who was holding two plates of sandwiches and tapping his left foot quite fast looked down at them.
"I'd say you guys got guts, but you look like you're about to pee yourselves already." He sighed, "Your fear is so strong, I knew the exact moment you had left the room."
"Militia, now!"
Melanie activated her semblance, teleporting forward as she aimed a high kick at his chest. Even without her heels on she was confident in the abilities that she'd trained all her life. Yama merely turned and her attack missed completely, but suddenly her position changed with Militia who aimed a punch at his crotch that landed...
But it did nothing. Yama didn't so much as move an inch, nor make a sound; as if he hadn't even felt the attack. Militia pulled back to see Yama grinning from ear to ear.
"I'm always rock hard, short-stuff."
"You're disgusting!" Melanie said teleporting behind his head and kicking at full force but missing as Yama dodged with ease once more.
"Disgusting how?"
"You've got no manners or etiquette! How could you even say that to a lady?"
"A lady? You guys? You're both too vicious to be ladies."
"Excuse me?!" Melanie exclaimed, her face turning red once more.
Another man walked into the hallway, in nothing but shorts. He looked mildly annoyed at the noise and fighting that was happening near him. Melanie and Militia blushed at seeing him, with Melanie even covering her sister's eyes.
"Can you fuckers take it outside? Or I'm going to join the fun and beat you all like a pinata!" Shima said, having been woken up by the sounds of a scuffle taking place. He was trying to rest from his own activities that had happened during the night.
"I know you're not talking to me like that, Shima," Yama growled, putting the plates on the floor and turning to face him. "I'd smash you to a pulp."
"Hey? Hello? We're right here you know?" Melanie interjected, annoyed at how easily she was dropped from the conversation. "Does anyone here know how to treat a woman right?"
She was promptly ignored as the two males walked towards each other, snarling.
"Haaa? You wanna settle the score right now, you dog bastard?"
"You fucking striped bitch, let's go, right now!"
Just as the two got into each other's faces, they were interrupted by the sound of munching. Melanie, Shima and Yama turned back to see Militia holding a plate of sandwiches once more. Seeing everyone looking at her once more, she stopped eating in embarrassment. With a sigh, Yama retreated from Shima and picked up the last plate, while Shima went back into his room grumbling.
"Come on you two, let's go somewhere else."
Yama led them into what seemed to be a large lounge area with a large couch, a TV and even a couple of beanbags lying around unused. Yama put the food down on the coffee table and jumped onto one of the beanbags.
"Sit. Eat. Hell, put on TV if you want."
"What if I want to leave?" Melanie shot back, eager to get out of this place.
"You can't. Not until the boss speaks to ya."
"The boss?"
"He means me."
Melanie jumped in fright and turned around to see Shotaro standing in the doorway. Even with all her training she had never been approached so subtly by anyone, not even her mother. Shotaro looked down at Melanie with indifference.
"I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I trust you've eaten until you're satisfied?" He said, looking at Militia sitting on the couch and eating quietly.
"No actually, we haven't," Melanie replied dryly, crossing her arms over her chest. She wondered if she could get some information out of him. "But you're the boss around here?"
"Yes."
"Then I assume you're the one who had us kidnapped?"
"That would also be true. Though, I didn't expect Yama to be so aggressive."
He sent a look at Yama that made the boy roll his eyes and turn over on his beanbag to look away from him.
"Sorry about that. I needed to speak with you."
"Couldn't book an appointment like anyone else?"
"Considering I now own the Xiong Family, I don't think I should need to."
"What?"
Shotaro walked past her and brought out a chair, sitting on it directly in front of the couch. He pointed for her to sit on the couch next to Militia. She obeyed silently, not knowing what might happen if she didn't.
"I am your boss, but at the same time, not your boss."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"You don't work for junior. I know that."
"Yes, we do-"
"No, he's just letting you stay around because you ran away from home."
Both Melanie and Militia looked at him in bewilderment.
"How did you know?"
"There's nothing I don't know about you two," Shotaro said. "Well, almost nothing."
"How did you find out?"
"There are many loose tongues across Remnant, eager to make some quick Lien. I also know you're here to assassinate Roman Torchwick."
Melanie scowled as she clenched her fists. This was all top-secret information that wouldn't have been known by anyone else except themselves. What was going on?
"It seems I've angered you. I apologise. I truly don't mean any harm towards either of you, even if it does seem that way." Shotaro said, "I simply want us to be on the same terms."
"Same terms? Then tell me about yourself, since you like to reveal secrets."
"Sure. My name is Shotaro, but you already know that. I'm a Faunus, as you can tell. Lion Faunus to be exact. I'm 19 years old-"
"You really enjoy playing games with people, I see," Melanie responded, already fed up with him. Shotaro gave a warm smile in return. "Let's just get this over with already and tell me what you want from us so badly. Money from my Mother?"
"No actually. I don't want anything from you or your Mother. I'd rather not lose my head so easily," Shotaro clarified, leaning forward. "I want you both to work for me. Exclusively. I want you to join the team."
Melanie was silent as her brain tried to understand why Shotaro would need them specifically, but she couldn't come up with anything. Instead, Militia spoke the obvious question that they didn't dare to ask.
"Why us?"
"Because I can keep you safe from your Mother's wrath better than Junior can."
"That doesn't answer the question." Melanie persisted.
"Hahaha! Good. I'm glad that you wasn't satisfied with just that," Shotaro said, leaning back in his chair once more. "The truth is, you're both better than just bodyguards for Junior. He's shitting on your talents, but I would like to put them to good use."
"You want us to kill someone?"
"Yes. I want you to kill Roman Torchwick."
"But we're going to do that anyway," Melanie said, puzzled by what was being asked. She had no qualms about killing Roman, he deserved it.
"Yeah, but I need you to put that on hold at the moment."
"Don't you need him dead?"
"Yeah, but right now isn't a good time. I'm currently working for him. But don't worry, I'll let you get the revenge you deserve once his use is over."
"So what do we do right now?"
Shotaro leaned in with a grin once more as he began to explain. He brought out a picture of an ice-cream-coloured girl and a couple of pictures of other men who seemed to be within the White Fang.
"Here's what I want you to do..."
Shima walked into the bar, the chattering voices of people surrounding him. As he sat at the table, he ordered a drink and waited for his appointment, but it didn't take as long as he expected.
"Hello there." A woman spoke softly, breathing near his left ear. He took a glance at the dark-skinned, red-haired woman sliding onto the seat next to him. Her tight, black dress exposing her ample cleavage, accentuating her curves. Even her perfume seemed to contain something that made Shima feel the heat in his cheeks rise.
"My eyes are up here, darling~"
Shima grunted and turned to the drink the bartender had handed him, quickly taking a sip before looking back at her. The woman was definitely doing this on purpose, trying to seduce him, making him falter. He knew wouldn't fall for some cheap trick like this.
"You Arusha?"
"Arusha Flanna in the flesh, dear."
"Don't call me that," Shima growled, placing his drink onto the table with a thud, the contents of the glass slightly spilling over. "This isn't some fucking picnic. Can you do it or not?"
"Of course I can, but I like to meet my clients face-to-face." The woman purred, unperturbed by him. The woman glanced at Shima, a slight amusement plastering itself across her face. "Especially when I'm creating something this poisonous to most people."
"It's none of your business what we use it for."
"Oh, I know, I do not wish to pry. I'm simply saying it'll cost you~"
"How much are you asking?"
"Depends on what you're paying with~"
Shima immediately understood what she was insinuating, meeting the eyes of this mysterious woman, his expression less than amused.
She bit her lip shyly as she looked at him, her eyes softening.
"Lien. I'm not selling my body to you."
"Awww, how sad~" The woman tutted, placing her chin onto the back of her hand, resting on the table. "I thought I might finally get to dissect an interesting creature~"
"Fuck off, I'm not giving you my organs," Shima growled, sliding himself back onto his chair, the legs scraping against the hard floor. He left her gaze to stand up, meeting it once again to take the last sip of his drink before placing it back onto the table. He knew this conversation was not heading in the direction he wanted.
Shima turned to leave before calling out to the bartender in a slightly irritated tone. "Send the bill to Junior, he'll have the money."
"Wait."
A hand reached out to touch his arm, forcefully wrapping their fingers around to hold Shima in place.
"Can't we have just a small chat? There are other ways to pay with your body~"
The woman stood up, bending slightly over the table, making sure to show off her assets to Shima. The subtlety was starting to fade as she met the gazes of several other customers, their cheeks glowing similar colours of pink, their expressions one and the same. Shima felt his stomach knot, something didn't feel right.
"Sorry, I've already got someone I care about." He spat, shaking her off of his arm.
Shima rushed out of the bar, not looking back. He hopped onto his bike and rode off into the night.
Arusha let out an audible sigh, taking in her loss. She waved her perfectly manicured hand at the surrounding patrons. "Ok, the show's over, enjoy your night, everyone." She purred, a smirk forming on her lips.
Everyone in the bar belonged to Arusha, due to her Semblance "Queen Bee". It allowed her to enchant people and had everyone under her spell, keeping tabs on who, when and where. Arusha was able to make everyone obey her every command, even if it cost them their lives.
Very rarely did anyone hone the willpower to resist her charm, but it was possible and very annoying when it occurred. She especially didn't expect it from a boy who looked no older than 20, but his willpower was quite powerful, it seemed.
"How unfortunate..." She lamented, counting the Lien he had left behind and noticing he had left quite a large tip. Arusha's eyes lit up. "Pretty cute and a large wallet..."
She pocketed it between her bosom, glancing at the drink that was given to her by the bartender. She sat down at the table, took out a small coin from her purse, flicking it while in deep thought.
"I think I'll need some help with this..."
The coin landed on the table with a clink, a small 'X' marking the side facing upwards.
"The ingredients for this job don't come cheap after all~"
