3 months later
Things had been good from then on with Arizona and Callie. They spent every weekend at Arizonas and started having little outings in the next town over. That's what they were doing today. Having lunch at a little dinner. It was called 'MAC'S' . It was a soul food dinner. Callie was eating fried chicken and both River and Arizona were having macaroni and cheese. The conversation was small talk and the atmosphere was pleasant, that was until Mr. Stewart popped over to their booth and spoke to them.
"Fancy seeing you here."
"Hi Mr. stewart." said River. He sometimes walks the pre k class to recesses and lunch.
"Hello River."
"Mr. Stewart, this is River's mom Callie Torres."
"Hi Ms. Torres, Ms. Robbins, I'll talk to you on monday." He then turned around and left the restaurant. Arizona let out a huge sigh. She knew he was going straight to the principal.
"It will be ok babe. There is no real rule about it. We both memorized the parent and teacher handbooks. It just says it's frowned upon. You'll be ok, everything will be ok." Then callie leaned in really close and whispered in her ear i love you.
"I love you too Ms. robbins." The two adults laughed, then Ariona looked at Callie for reassurance and when Callie nodded her head she returned her attention to River.
"I love you too sweetie."
They finished their lunch and chatted. The issue is still burning in the back of Ariozna's mind. The drive home was silent. Callie could tell it was still bothering Arizona, who had a fake smile plastered on her face. But the corners of her lips were tight and her brow was slightly frowed.
"River, why don't you run inside and see what Mark and Lexie are up to okay?"
"Ok, Bye Arizona, thanks for lunch."
"What's wrong babe?" Callie asked as soon as River was out of the car.
"It's nothing, I am fine."
"No you are not, I can tell by your face. Is it Mr. stewart?"
"Yes what if i get yelled at or worse fired. I have a hard time with authority. I'll probably cry." Arizona put her face in her hands. And shook her head.
"You will be ok babe. You wont get yelled at or fired. He will probably just ask you to keep it private." Callie tried to reassure the woman. " Plus there's a month and a half left now it's going to be fine."
"Thank you baby." Arizona leaned in for a quick kiss.
After Callie hopped out of the car, she worried about Arizona all was only trying to be supportive and let Arizona freak out but she was a nervous wreck too. What if the principal gave Arizona an ultimatum, her or the job. What would she pick? Or worse what if she was out right fired.
…
The next day Arizona was a wreck getting ready for school. She was so nervous. But she had to suck it up and get on with it. So she put her nicest blazer and blouse on. With a black knee length skirt and some light make up on finishing off with red lipstick.
When she got to school both Mr. Stewart and the principal Mr. Shaw was already in her classroom waiting.
"Good morning Ms. Robbins." Said Mr. shaw.
"Morning Mr. Shaw, Mr. Stewart." Arizona politely greeted the staff.
"Ms. Robbins, Robb here has brought up a concern, he says you were out to lunch with a student and her mother. Is that true?" He asked, getting right to the point.
"Yes, I was with Callie Torres and her daughter, my student River." She felt no need to lie. Honesty was the best policy.
"And you know that's against the rules?"Mr. Stewart butted in.
"Well actually it's only frowned upon, correct Mr. shaw?"
"Technically yes that's true."
"So she should have to break up or resign." Mr. Stewart said. Butting in again.
"Well I don't think we need to get that hasty. Ms. Robbins, do you promise to keep it off school grounds, out of the classroom and strictly professional with all your students favoring none above the others?" Mr. Shaw asked. Discontent written all over the other teachers' faces.
"Of course Mr. Shaw. I would never treat any of my students any differently."
"Okay then you have my blessing. Just next time come to me sooner. Okay?" Mr. Shaw prompted.
"Yes of course. But there won't be a next time" Arizona chuckled.
"Okay, come on let's get out of her way so she can set up for the day." you could see how unhappy the other teacher was. This did not go his way.
Arizona sent out a text to Callie even though she knew she was getting River ready for school. And she had seen first hand that the child was not exactly a morning person, neither was her mother.

Ill tell you at the park today
Arizona got ready to start the day. She would see her girls a little bit but knew she needed to have this talk out of the school like she promised the principal. She was in a good mood and hoped the day went well.
…
The day went well for arizona. She was now at the park waiting for Callie and River who were a few cars back. She was so excited to tell Callie that she got the blessing of the principal.
"Hey babe." Callie kissed her on the cheek as she strutted up. Seeing the big goofy smile on Arizona's face.
"Hey baby, got good news."
"Why don't you go play for a bit then come back for a snack mijha." And off River ran. You would think with as many days as they have spent at this park she would be tired of it but she was not.
"What's up babe?"
"Mr. Shaw said that as long as our relationship does not interfere with work I'm good to go, he gave me his blessing."
Wow that is awesome babe. I'm so happy for you."
"For us." Arizona corrected.
