"Oh, if I were not a businessman, I'd certainly have been a psychologist," Jasper boasted, "I've a great passion and understanding for how the human mind works."

I rolled my eyes. He had a terrible misconception about himself that he had a great observation skill and an excellent understanding of the human mind, but most of the time, his observations were completely incorrect!

"Wow! That's great," Alice said.

"Oh really?" Bella asked, "I also love Psychology."

"Oh, I didn't know that," I said.

"No, I mean..." she blushed, "I just love to read those kinds of books. I'm not an expert or anything like him."

"Believe me, he's not any expert," I said.

"See? This is one of the expressions. That's exactly how jealousy works," he said, "He's just jealous that he doesn't have this skill I'm an expert at."

"I don't want to waste my energy on you," I threw my hands in the air.

Bella looked at me and chuckled.

"You're funny," Bella said to him.

"Right?" Alice said.

I smiled. Well, it was good to see Jasper's stupid ass comments were making them smile, at least!

Then they all started discussing various Psychology books, and I was pleasantly surprised to see Bella participating actively in those conversation.

For some reason, I had always seen her as a timid girl. But I was wrong! She was much more than that. She had strong opinions, and she had a really strong personality.

Suddenly I felt like I wanted to know more about her even if it was none of my business! I had no idea what was fucking wrong with me!

But overall, I found this dinner to be a very pleasant change from the past few months. Maybe I should start socializing again, I told myself.

Alice was using Bella's ages old Corolla while she was in LA, and it didn't start when they were leaving after dinner, and Jasper offered them to give them the lift. Bella profusely apologized to Alice, and thanked a lot to Jasper.

I wondered why would she be using this stupid car when she could buy any fucking car! I definitely needed to talk to her!

"It was a great evening," I told her after we were alone in the home again.

"Yeah, I agree," she smiled, "I felt really good after many days. I'm really glad Alice planned this visit."

"Yeah, it was good to meet them. You guys seem quite close," I said.

"Yeah…" she said, "They used to be in LA when I was young. I'm quite close to her."

"Nice!" I smiled.

"I need to do something about not being jealous seeing the other kids though," she smiled weakly, "I was very jealous seeing her with Seth. I need to work on the fact that just because I lost my baby, I just can't go on and be jealous of other mothers. I can't stay bitter forever."

"Oh!" I said. I didn't realize those were the emotions she was going through.

"I'm sorry, Bella," I said.

"No… No need to feel sorry! It's something I need to work on," she said.

"You're very strong! Very, very strong!" I said, "The fact that you realize your weakness… This is just incredible!" I was actually impressed. I was pretty sure she would have everything under her control very soon.

"You should be proud of yourself," I said, "Despite all the adversities, you've been through, you're still very strong," I said.

"Umm… Thanks," she smiled, "I don't have any other option."

"Jasper and you seem quite close," she changed the topic, "I see he can get into your nerves."

"Oh yes, he can," I rolled my eyes, "But he's a good friend."

"Nice." She smiled.

"Ummm Bella?" I decided to ask her about the car, "Also, I think you should change your car. You can select any model you like! We can order it for you."

"Umm no, I can't take anything from you," she said.

Of course!

"Bella..." I sighed, "I've already told you! Emmett had more than enough money, and it's all yours now!"

"I can't take any money," she said, "Please!"

She said 'Please', but that didn't seem to be a request to me. It looked like a warning!

"Sure!" I said, "I don't want to force you."

"Thank you," she said, "But please understand that I really can't take anything from your family. It's not my money!"

"Okay," I said.

I needed to do something about it though!

That night, I couldn't stop thinking about Bella Swan's... car.

How could I convince her to take money from me to get a new car?

I thought of different options, but couldn't come up with the one that could actually convince her.

"I bought a new car for myself," I said to her a week later as I showed her my new car.

"Oh, it's really nice!" she said, "I thought your other car is quite new. I mean... It's not my business... You can buy whatever you want! Just something I... "

"Yeah, you're right. I bought that five months back," I said, "It's like new!"

Well, and that's why I wanted to try if you can use it somehow, if you're not willing to take a new car from us!

"But I'm an impulsive buyer," I said, ""I liked this car, and immediately ordered it. The previous one can stay in the garage!" I winked.

She looked at me as if I was crazy!

Well, I might be slowly turning into one!

"Wow! You're so... You're so..." She struggled to find a word, "You're so... extra!" she chuckled.

"Sure! Whatever the hell that means!" I smiled.
