Chapter 2: New Quests, Old Enemies
The next day Ash was walking with Clemont and Bonnie to find Ash's Greninja. "Well it must be near here, right Ash?" Bonnie asked for the 4th time. "We have been walking in this big loop since breakfast and didn't pack lunch!"
"Please don't remind me about that, I get hungrier by the minute!" Ash begged.
"Pika pika! Pika-chu!" Pikachu pointed to a tree filled with nanab berries and Ash shook the tree until the nanab berries fell down. Then Ash turned away as Pikachu nibbled on the berry. "At least Pikachu has food." He thought to himself.
A few hours later they finally found a clearing with a waterfall and a meadow filled with pokémon. Then Bonnie heard a noise behind her. She turned around to see Ash's Greninja being captured in a net!
"JAMES! DO THAT MORE QUIETLY! WE DONT WANT ANYONE TO HEAR US!" Jessie yelled.
Meowth sighed and started, "Greninja is fussing so quit yapping! All of ya ok?!" Meowth said a bit annoyed.
"I think it's a bit late for that Meowth." James said, noticing Ash and friends. "They know we are here so let's just get on with it."
"Prepare for trouble!
And make it double!
To protect the world from devastation!
To unite all people within our nation!
To denounce the evils of truth and love!
To extend our reach to the stars above!
Jessie!
And James!
Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!
Surrender now or prepare for a fight!
Meowth! That's right!
Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet finished.
Jessie took out her Gourgiest while James took out his Inkay.
"Gourgeist, use Shadow Ball on Pikachu! Inkay use Psybeam and make sure Greninja doesn't escape!" Jessie and James ordered as Pikachu got ready.
"Pikachu, just use thunderbolt!" Ash said, as Pikachu ran toward Team Rocket. Ash was used to this and getting bored of the same Team Rocket routine.
"Team Rocket's blasting off again!" They shouted because, as usual, Pikachu sent them flying away. But not before Greninja was tied in a net and hung onto a nearby tree.
After Greninja was taken down and untied, Ash explained that Professor Sycamore called for Greninja to do a pokémon challenge with a Lucario. "And I figured that Greninja would be here," Ash said. "But I didn't expect him to almost be captured by Team Rocket. Are you sure you're ok, Greninja." "Usually they are after Pikachu, but they probably got Greninja because its a strong pokémon and it's one of mine. What is their real plan?" Ash thought to himself.
"Ninja!" Greninja said happily, which probably meant "Of course!"
"You do know what this means Ash, right?" Bonnie asked before handing him a note. The note said that their plan will have to happen when they get back.
"Bonnie? What was that you gave Ash?" Clement said, feeling suspicious. "Nothing Clemont, don't be nosey." Bonnie said a bit quickly, making Clemont feel even more suspicious.
"Ok! To Professor Sycamore's we go then!" Ash said, making Clemont forget everything and get a map, "I know a shortcut that will save a lot of time, this way!" Clemont said while pointing to a small trail.
"I guess I will have to wait more." Ash thought.
