Chapter 7

"Josh are you ever going to find someone to marry?" asked John. "When I find a girl that is like me, or at least one that likes to hear the piano and likes books. I know that books are not something I get to read here but maybe she will be like me and know a lot of stories by heart and can recite them," I tell him, Freddy, Mark, and Gorge. "You think everyone is like you and loves to read and listen to the piano. Your sisters like the piano but not books, and I can see why they like the piano when you play. You play happy and uplifting so you make them happy with the piano. I have heard some play and they play sad sounding songs and then get angry when no one likes the song that they just played," said Freddy. "I played the piano a little in the city but nowhere near as good as you are Josh. I could never get to the level you are on and I was still taking lessons when you were done with lessons at the age ten and you started at age five," said Gorge. "How old were you when you started taking lessons Gorge?" I ask. "I started taking lessons at age seven, so that means I was 18 and still taking lessons after 11 years. You only had five years of lessons and still became better than I can ever hope to be," said Gorge. "Well not everyone can play the piano have you tried the flute or clarinet or guitar even," I asked him. "No I only tried the piano. It was the one I wanted to learn how to play," said Gorge.

That was all we talked about that day. The next day we talked about how the twins where doing and what we had to do before winter. Within a month, we had the house built and we started to do repairs to the old house of the family so that they could sell it for a higher price than they could as it was. We finished the repairs in a week. Months passed and we built two houses and repaired three houses, fixed roof on most of the town's houses, and added on two stables. Maria announced that she was expecting four months after the wedding. Father announced that he wishes to marry someone and wants to make sure we his kids are fine with him marring again. "Is it Ms. Mary?" asks Amy. "Yes, Amy it is. She is a lot like your mother and it has been 19 years since her death so I think it is time to try to find someone to marry and she is a widow as well, with seven children to take care of Ginny, Joe, Marie, Molly, David, Steven, and Taylor, four girls and three boys. She has help yes but I want to help as well. While I can help as a friend but I wish to help more than as a friend. I hope she will agree to marry me I wanted to check with you first before I asked her," said Father.

"We want you to be happy Father and we have all been thinking that you and Ms. Mary would one day marry. We just hope the two of you are happy and that the two of you are happy," said Maria. The whole family was here John and Amy has moved out to a house that we built not too long ago. Maria and Freddy live in Freddy's house in town and Gorge and Alanna when they marry will live in the house that he has bought. Gorge was here as well "You and Ms. Mary should get married soon then she can be part of the wedding planning of Alanna and my wedding I know she would love to be part of the planning. Then she can say that she is really part of the family. I think she would like that, don't you Josh?" asked Gorge.

"You are right see would like that Alanna do you think you would like her to help?" I asked her. "Yes I was hoping that Father would marry her before I married so that I had a mother figure other than my sisters," said Alanna. "So what Gorge said was true you will wait till I am married?" asked Father. "Yes Father, we had been talking and planning who will be part of the wedding and well she has been here for us. Not just for his family but mine as well. So we wanted her to be part of the wedding, and maybe help plan as well," said Alanna. So that is what Gorge has been thinking about at work. "Well as seeing I have to support of my family I will ask within the week. I just pray she will agree to marry me," said Father.

Later that week while I was at work, I overheard him ask her to marry him and she did agree and her children had all told her that they thought that she should remarry someone and they did like him. That day when I got home I got to work on a new composing for their wedding gift, she had said at Alanna's birthday and at the weddings of my two other sisters that she wished that she had a song that was for her and no one could ever take away from her. I had been thinking about it all day and have most of it in my head already all I have to do is play and make shore it sounds like it had it in my mind. Father was not home so he did not hear it but Alanna did and she came to ask, "Is that a new song?"

"Yes, Alanna, it is I just finished it for Father and Ms. Mary's wedding gift. Was it any good and tell the truth," I tell her. "I think it is one of your best yet. I know want one for my wedding. Wait you did right one for Amy and Maria when they got married did you not," she asks. "Yes, Mr. Beast bought a piano for the store so that if we are not doing anything I can play and bring people in the store. So I worked on them there, but John and Freddy asked me to compose the new songs for their soon to be wives just as Gorge has asked me to do for you. I have yet to get started on it because you do not have a date set and then I can match the song to the time of year like I did with Amy and Maria's songs," I tell her so she can get on the with the picking a date for the wedding.

"Why have you told me this Josh," she asks. "Well I asked Gorge earlier if I could let you know since you would hear me working on this song. He said I could and even let you know when I have it finished so that it will add to the excitement of the day," I could see she is not sure what to think of what he said, and I do not get why he said it either. "Well I want a wedding in the summer but I do not know if that will be the case since we have Father and Ms. Mary's wedding to plan first it might be a year or so till the wedding. Well at least I have the dress finished, the linin put in order, and Amy is working on a tablecloth for it as well. Maria is working on the flower arrangements and food to serve at the wedding party," she told me. "So the wedding is planed it just needs a date and a few adjustments then. That means that after a month or two after Father's wedding you could get married as well," I tell her. "Yes I could but let's wait and see how long it will take to plan their wedding first," she is growing up and taking charge of her life and it seems to me that she just wanted Father to marry first.
