Chapter 8
Father came home and everyone was here even all of Ms. Mary's children. "We have an announcement. We are getting married within two months not much needs to be done and since we have been married before we do not need the whole town just a few of our friends and all of our family to be there. Now since most of the family lives here in Blue Lake we do not need to find housing for out of town family and our friends live here two Mr. Green will be back in a month so we can tell him the news then. Now we will be adding on to this house for all of you to have a room we have the money to do so and the time to add on to, so what do you think do you want to live here or let Josh have this house and stay in town," Father asked Ms. Mary's children. "Let Josh have this house Mr. King. It will take less time and money to add on to our house than this one. If Josh wishes to add on to it later than he can, this house is lovely and it is nice here but it is a way out of town and well we are not all that confortable near the forest," said Ginny. With all of her siblings, nodding in agreement with what she had said.
"That is what your mother said you would say so Josh do you wish to live here by yourself or sell and find a place in town?" asked Father. "I will live here on my own. I like it here, I have Twilight Queen and Storm Cloud, and I was thinking of getting a cow and some chickens as well. I will add on so that if we all need a place to stay that will hold all of us then we can stay here. I have also worked hard to get the garden and apple grove back in order I will not leave it now," I tell them I do not wish to intrude any more than I have to on the soon to be married couple. And I know that it will cost less if I stay here since there is room of one more at their house right now as it is so they will not have to add on for Alanna to move in with them till she is married. "Will then it is settled Josh will live here and we will all live in our house in town. Now since he is staying here we do not have to add on and if we wish we can set the date to little over a month," said Ms. Mary.
"Alanna and I will not move in till after the wedding so tell then you will not see us tell we come in to start planning," said Father. With that the meeting was over Mr. Beast was talking to Father. Amy and John where leaving with the twins. Maria and Freddy where talking about names for their child. Alanna and Gorge where talking about plans. Ginny's sisters where talking with each other and her brothers where playing out in the yard in the moon light. Ginny came to talk to me "So you are going to stay here all by yourself even though you could just add on to our house and stay with us." I can see why she is shocked at this; she has not realized that I like to be on my own since I tried to be more open with people Mr. Green had told me that he wishes he could have found someone to marry so I try to talk with people in town.
"Ginny I tend to be a loner and will yes I talk in town but only because I have talked with other loners and they all seem to agree going through life without someone there is not much of a life. So I have talked with people and have yet to find someone I can just talk to about much and not just want to find somewhere and hide just to get away from them. You and your friends are some of the few that I talk to and not feel like I am being tortured. All of you have a brain and do not just talk to try to impress people on your looks but your mind as well, but still not one of your friends has caught and held my attention as someone I might marry and I think I might just join Mr. Green as a travelling wagoner to try to find someone. I just do not think the one for me is in Blue Lake," I tell her. "I see so you have been trying to find someone but have yet to find her. Josh have you ever thought about what is it you want in a girl?" she asks. "Yes I have I am no one that looks at a girl just for her beauty, but I do like brown hair and eyes. I want her to be smart and not afraid to speak her mind, if she reads then great but if not then fine, I know not many women in the country can read. She has to love riding horses since it is one of the things I love to do, and not just see them as a way to get from one place to another but a smart animals that have feelings as well. I know I have no chance of finding a girl with all of what I just said but even if she has just half or less if I fall for her I do not care," I tell her.
"Well there is one girl that does fit what you said but the thing is she is a beast right now. You know this and yet you wish to look out in the world for a girl?" she asks. "I did not know that Mr. Beast's aunt was like that, even so she has aged to 23 and I am only 22 I still have a year to go before I am even her age. So I do not know what to do but I am going to stay here in this house for a while and then in a year or two I might just try to find a way to save his aunt. I just wish she had been saved a long time ago so that he could have known her as he grew up," I let her know.
"Josh he just wishes for her to be saved and today is her birthday it has been 45 years since she became a beast. He is only 40 now he is the only one that is left of his parents three kids his sister died in childbirth after having only two kids both of which live here in town and his older brother is a beast as well. So he will be glad that she has been freed when and if you are the one to free her. It will give him hope for his brother to be freed," she tells me. "I do not even know how long it would take to free her if I did end up at the palace," I let her know. "Not long if you just pay attention to what she says and how she acts after she says it, she will give hints. It will be up to you to figure it out own your own," and with that she leaves to tell her mother that she is heading home. I sat there and thought if I freed her, she might be the one for me but even if she is not then she could find someone to marry. Ms. Mary sent most of her children home with Ginny and the only one to stay was one of her sons to keep her company and safe on the way home. Mr. Beast came to tell me that Ginny thinks I will be the one to free his aunt and he believes she may be right since I am a lot like her he thinks that in a year I should try he would hire someone to keep the house clean and ready for my return if I did try. And I think I will try since she has been a beast far too long.
