Episode 6
Blast From the Past: Part 2
Grimlock made his way to the chamber the Decepticon told him about, after slicing and smashing other Decepticons in his way, he finally made it to the doors leading to the chamber, he grabs then and rips them off before entering, looked around before he saw Swoop hanging in the centre of the room, trapped in a sphere of energy.
"Grimlock, is that you?!" Swoop called out.
"Swoop! By Primus what happened to you?!" Grimlock questioned before a massive hologram appeared of Shockwave.
"Welcome, Grimlock, your attempt to rescue your friend was easily predicted" he said as Grimlock growled at the con.
"Shockwave" he growled in growing anger.
"I've syphoned your cerebral circuitry to push additional power to combat related functions, frankly, I'm amazed you can even talk, 98% of your redesign is dedicated to the total destruction of your enemy" Shockwave explained.
"Lucky you" Grimlock said before the hologram disappeared before small decepticon drones appeared, shooting at Grimlock, the autobot growled as he used his shield to block the shots, he then spotted some canisters before getting an idea, he dashed over to them and grabbed a canister, before throwing it and destroying one of the drones, he did the same thing over and over until all drones were destroyed, then Shockwaves hologram appeared once more.
"I expected better, I will continue to monitor your progress with great interest".
"You'll get a personal demonstration!" Grimlock threatened as the hologram disappeared.
"Hey Grimlock, who was that guy?!" Swoop asked.
"Shockwave, a Decepticon, don't you remember?" Grimlock asked.
"No, seems like he only showed himself to you, I never saw the guy before until now" Swoop said.
Grimlock questioned why Shockwave only showed himself to him, but didn't focus on it for long before more drones appeared, Grimlock attacked each one that came his way, then some decepticon soldiers entered and tried to take him down, only to fail as Grimlock crushed and sliced any that came close.
"Grimlock get me out of this thing!" Swoop yelled.
"How?" Grimlock asked.
"I saw the guards trigger two switches in unison to lock me in" Swoop said, Grimlock saw the switches he was talking about and went to work, he triggers one before dashing over to the other one, he follows the cables to the central computer of the room, not knowing what to do, he just slams his hand against it, which lucky enough worked as the cells power flickered.
"Security deactivated" a AI voice said as the sphere around Swoop disappeared, which made him fall.
"Aaaaaahhh!" Swoop yelled before his instincts took over, he transformed, showing his new dinobot form, his Pterodactyl form as he flew around, "Thats more like it!" he said before he hit a pillar, making him crash down and transform back to robot mode.
"How'd you do that?" Grimlock asked, he knew that form wasn't Swoops normal bike mode, it was beyond anything he seen before.
"Don't know, but I like it! Can you change form?2 Swoop asked.
"No, everythings, different" Grimlock said.
"You mean Better!" Swoop commented.
"Just. Different" Grimlock said, "Need, to find th eothers".
"So, where do we start?" Swoop asked.
"Don't know, start looking" Grimlock commanded
Soon they started to travel, Swoop was loving his new form as they took out any decepticons, Grimlock question how there was so many in one station, or was the whole planet they were on a Decepticon colony? Grimlock needed to alert Ultra Magnus, as soon as he found all of his team.
They made it to a door before the AI voice came on, "Alert, approaching Dissection Lab 7B" Grimlock then ripped open more doors, entering the lab.
"I don't remember you being that strong" Swoop commented, "Makes two of us" Grimlock said as they saw lots of things in the lab, more experiments and dead subjects.
"What is all this?" Swoop asked, "More exp…experiments!" Grimlock struggled to say.
"Is this what Shockwave did to us? Crack us open?" Swoop questioned, making Grimlock look to him, "You don't remember?" he asked him.
"No…do you?" Swoop asked his friend nervously, "Yes" Grimlock said, making the now flyer bot worried for his leader as he looked around, "Oooooh, Grimlock, you gotta take a look at this one" Swoop said as Grimlock went to see what he found.
At a viewing point, they saw some more decepticons, before a pod that sat next to them, burst open, a large Insecticon escaping said pod as it went to attack them, "Its escaped! Call reinforcements" they yelled as Grimlock and Swoop watched.
"Look at them run" Grimlock said.
"Serves em right" Swoop said before looking around the lab more, "This room, I've been in a room like this with Slug" Swoop said.
"Slug?! Where is he?!" Grimlock asked as Swoop guided Grimlock to the next chamber before he brought something up.
"Hey, we have new bodies, need a new name, Lightning Strike Coalition Force never sounded right".
"Hmph, you can blame that on Sentinel, he demanded the team name to be so long cause he thought it would sound cool, don't know what goes on in that bots head most of the time" Grimlock said, before all exits to the chamber sealed up, then a large 2 barrel turret came down with a single Decepticon appeared from a platform on the floor.
"Allow me to introduce, Bombshell, he should prove a most formidable opponent to which to test you" Shockwave said from some speakers as Bombshell proceeded to jump into the 2 barrel cannons cockpit and activated it, proceeding to fire at Grimlock and Swoop.
Swoop took notice of some fuel pods left out before he got an idea, "Grimlock, grab those fuel pods, I got an idea!" he said as he flew into the air, making sure to direct the cannon fire to him, Grimlock dashed to the fuel pods and grabbed 2 before asking, "Now what?"
"Throe em at that bug!" Swoop yelled, Grimlock then threw them at the turret, making them explode and cause some massive damage to it, "Keep those pods coming Swoop!" Grimlock said as he used his shield to protect him from the cannon, Swoop saw a terminal and transformed to bot mode and landed by it, he activated the terminal, causing more fuel pods to rise from the ground, Grimlock went to them quick as he grabbed some fuel pods, Swoop then noticed some decepticons entering the chamber.
"We got cons coming from all sides!" Swoop said as then his arm compartments opened up, revealing blasters on his arms, he smirks as he took aim, "Get blasted Cons!" he yelled as he fired at them, blasting each Decepticon with a fiery energy blast from his new blasters.
Grimlock kept chucking fuel pods at the turret as it got more damaged, he then threw one final fuel pod at it before it exploded, taking down the turret as it fell to the ground, the cockpit opened, showing Bombshell also took some blasts inside the cockpit as Grimlock walked over and pulled out the Decepticon.
"Not so tough now is he? Stupid bug!" Swoop said as his blasters reconfigured into his arms.
"Bombshell, stop squirming!" Grimlock growled as he grabbed the insecticons head, and hit it onto a terminal by the exit door, it scanned the Insecticons face before it confirmed its ID, making the door open.
After crossing a bridge that has many shots, and passing a security protocol Swoop accidentally triggered, they made it to the next chamber, which had been labelled as Surgical Unit 2D.
"This is the place, I know it" Swoop said as they entered the chamber, only to find it empty and ruined, broken terminals, slashed cables and dents everywhere.
"Empty" Grimlock said as he walked around, Grimlock found a woking terminal and tried to see if there was any useful data while Swoop flew around the chamber to inspect it more.
"The place is a mess, maybe Slug escaped" Swoop suggested as Grimlock saw a hologram of Slug and, what he could guess was his new alt mode.
"Maybe" Grimlock thought aloud as Swoop inspected a large hole in the centre of the room.
"Hey Grimlock, something big tunnelled from the bottom here" Swoop said before Grimlock used his sword to get down the hole, lodging it into the side and slid down and landing safely, Swoop followed, still in dino mode as he flew ahead.
"This has to be Slugs trail, I'll scout ahead!" he said, "Swoop wait!" Grimlock said as he tried to follow, only for the floor below him to cave in, sending him into a wreckage of more chambers of sorts.
"Grimlock! You ok?" Swoop asked as he tried to see if Grimlock was ok.
"Lets split up, we'll find Slug faster" Grimlock said.
"But Grimlock-" Swoop tried to reason, "Thats an order! Go!" Grimlock commanded as he went off on his own, Swoop shook his head with worry, "Oh man, this won't end well" Swoop said as he transformed to dino mode and flew off.
With Grimlock, he went deeper into the wreckage/cave system, seeing lots and lots of insecticon eggs planted into the floors, walls and ceilings, he found more decepticons trying to subdue him which was useless since he towered over them, however, before some Decepticons could fire at him, the floor underneath them gave way as wild Insecticons crawled through, destroying the floor and at the same time, devouring the decepticons, Grimlock was slightly disturbed, but knew some Insecticons would eat just about anything.
What really got him confused were the Insecticons Shockwave somehow managed to give robot modes, Insecticons had no alt modes, not known atleast, but there were considered savage and wild creatures, what ever Shockwave did to this hive that caused them this new evolution, it could not mean well for the Autobots, he needed to get this information to the council, to Ultra Magnus.
As he traveled further and slayed more rampaging Insecticons, he could hear a voice calling to him.
"Grimlock…lock…lock".
Grimlock growled as he traverled more, before a hologram appeared.
"Grimlock, I see you've made it ot the lower depths of my facility, but your combat efficiency has only marginally improved" Shockwave said, "Your failure to change forms hinders your progress".
"Then show me how!" Grimlock demanded.
"The insecticon, Kickback, has volunteered to assist you in unlocking your full potential" Shockwave said before the hologram disappeared, then making himself known as Kickback.
"I remember you, Grimlock, do you remember me? Me? Me?" he said and repeated with a sinister cackle as he ran off, luring Grimlock somewhere as the large autobot followed him by pushing down a pillar leading to where Kickback ran off too.
"Kickback" Grimlock growled, remembering him as one of the Insecticons Shockwave had by his side during torture.
"Catch me Grimlock, if you can, can, can!" Kickback yelled as he laughed maniacally and crazily, Grimlock was catching up, before Kickback transformed into his Alt mode, resembling a large cricket as he bounced away.
"You're too slow, slow, slow!" he said, angering Grimlock who kept the chase, following Kickback into a large spherical chamber of sorts with a large pillar in the center, Kickback stood ontop of it, taunting Grimlock/
"Once again, we have to put you in your place!" Kickback said as a ginormous Insecticon emerged from the ground with a purple shell on its thorax, Grimlock grabbed its jaws as it tried to bite him, which led to it throwing him back, Grimlock landed but was sliding and used his sword to stop him, he stood back up as the large Insecticon wanted to battle more.
"Look Grimlock~! Its as big and tough as you!" Kickback taunted.
Grimlock growled as the red lights on his body glowed, "Crush you!" he yelled as he charged at the bug, slashing at it with his sword, which didn't prove to be enough as the sword didn't do any damaged, the Bruiser screeched before proceeding to charge at him, Grimlock quickly dodged leading it to smack head first into the wall, getting an idea on how to defeat it, Grimlock proceeded to get the bruisers attention over and over, making sure the insecticon charged at him, only to charge into a wall head first, soon it smashed into the pillar and was stunned enough for Grimlock to attack, he grabbed the end part of it before using his newfound strength to crush it, making it scream in pain before ripping the insecticon in half, ending its life.
"Your pathetic! We'll tear you apart just like we did when you came to our planet!" Kickback threatened, Grimlock however was furious, he would not be defeated here, not now, not ever, his body glowed with a red and orange light as he felt his rage overwhelm him, he could feel every part of him grow in power, including his T-Cog, which before now was not functional.
With his T-Cog finally online, he slammed his fists into the ground before he transformed into his new T-Rex mode, letting out a fearsome roar, Kickback was shocked as more Insecticons tried to attack Grimlock, only to be smashed, chomped and whacked away as Grimlock attacked in his new dino mode, "Impossible! He overrode Shockwaves programming!" he said before Grimlock unleashed something completely unexpected, he let loose a stream of energy fire from his jaws, burning any Insecticons that got close, "Your tired, give up, just give up!" Kickback taunted.
"Never! NEVER GIVE UP!" Grimlock yelled in Dino mode as he kept attacking.
"Your not so tough!" Kickback taunted further.
"NO ONES TOUGHER THAN ME!" Grimlock yelled before a bruiser appeared, it tried to hit Grimlock, only for the dinobot to use his jaws to grab the bruiser by its neck before chomping through, killing it immediately.
Kickback, seeing no way of him surviving against Grimlock, tried to leave, "Time for me to take my leave!" he said, before the door leading out, suddenly busted down, landing on the insecticon, walking out was Slug in his Dino mode as he looked down at the trapped insecticon.
"Excuse me" he said before Grimlock saw him and transformed back to robot mode, "Slug, you look terrible".
"Feel terrible, Shockwave really messed me up inside, but I'll survive" Slug said, "Me too" Grimlock said with uncertainty before Slug transformed to bot mode too, "I'll help you up boss, just give me your hand" Slug said.
Grimlock did so as Slug pulled him up to the upper level.
"Where is Sludge?" he asked.
"Not too far, I hope, heard him on my comms before static took over" Slug said as they travelled the way Slug came.
"Snarl? Slash?" Grimlock asked.
"Last I heard, Snarl was carted off for 'Extensive testing', as for Slash, I found her but, you're gonna have to see it for yourself" Slug said sadly as Grimlock followed him, what he saw greatly shook Grimlock.
Slash was tied up to a testing table with some kind of helmet on her head, her body was different too, though Grimlock couldn't tell if that meant she was changed like them or not.
"I found her like this and dragged her around since I escaped, whatever happened to her, Shockwave wanted answers, he was trying to gain something from her memory core" Slug explained as Grimlock growled in rage.
"Shockwave" Grimlock growled as he opted to carry Slash, relieving Slug a bit as they travelled on before walking outside, giant tower hives everywhere, Swoop then appeared in the sky as he saw Grimlock and his other two comrades.
"Slug!" Swoop cheered before seeing Slash, "Slash! What happened to her?!" he asked, "Find Sludge and Snarl first, then we get answers" Grimlock said before Slug spoke in the comms.
"Grimlock, look!" he said as a giant tower in the distance glowed blue before a boom was heard, sending a shockwave, as the team held their ground to avoid being blown back.
"That looks like that old tower from the Sea of Rust back on Cybertron" Swoop said.
"It doesn't just look like it, it is it!" Grimlock said.
"It looks like an old space bridge tower, what do the Decepticons want with that?!" Slug asked.
"Easy, it means the Decepticons want to invade Cybertron with their own Space Bridge! The cons have been planning this the whole time!" Grimlock said in rage, "This must be why they attacked Optimus and his crew!" he thought aloud.
"Grimlock I didn't see any bots except us here, We would know if they were here" Swoop said.
"Then how-" before Grimlock could question, they heard something heavy nearby, looking to where the sound was coming from, the source coming from a wall further ahead, getting closer, they activated what weapons they had, Grimlock with his sword and shield, Swoop turning to bot mode and bringing out his blasters, then Slug transforming and pulled out a axe with the blades of it being made of red energon energy like Grimlocks.
The wall then was blasted open as smoke came from it, the bots prepared themselves before walking out the smoke was none other than Sludge, in his hands was a giant minigun, he saw the others before smiling.
"Grimlock! You guys escaped too!" he said.
"Sludge?! Where on Cybertron did you get that?!" Swoop asked about the minigun.
"Well when I escaped, I broke into a weapons vault, and found this!" Sludge said as he carried the Minigun around, "I'm keeping it, much better than my old weapon" he said before pointing it behind the others, he then fires, soon revealing he was firing at many insecticons that tried sneaking up on them, soon he stopped firing as all the insecticons were dead.
"Yeah we definitely are keeping that" Grimlock said as they kept on, Swoop flew into the air while Slug charged ahead, the path crumbling behind him as Grimlock fell to a passage below Slugs.
"Swoop! Slug! Wait!" Grimlock called, Sludge was slowly following as he carried the minigun, Grimlock lead him along as they tried searching for Snarl, Grimlock till carrying Slash, as they went along they saw Slug on an upper path, facing a bruiser Insecticon.
"Careful Slug! Those things are tough!" Grimlock warned him, only for Slug to charge head on and throw the Insecticon off the path and onto a stalagmite, killing it in one swing.
"What?" Slug asked.
"Nevermind" Grimlock said as he carried on, soon they entered what seemed to be a small cavern, before Grimlock and Sludge could go further, Chop Shop appeared, crawling out a hole as a kind of spider-like insecticon mode, before transforming to robot mode.
"Sorry, but you dinos aren't going any further" he said before he whistled, "Boys, it's feeding time~! TEAR THEM APART!" he yelled as holes appeared, hundreds of small insecticons crawling out of them.
"Sludge, help me out here!" Grimlock ordered as Sludge aimed his minigun.
"On it!" Sludge said before he opened fire, killing each insecticon that tried getting close, Grimlock slashed and crushed any that got past the barrage of energy bullets while protecting Slash.
Chop Shop was getting infuriated as all the small insecticons got killed, "You stupid dino's don't get it do you?! You're our FOOD! You're supposed to stay there and die while we EAT YOUR CARCASSES!" he yelled as he transformed and tried to attack them himself, Grimlock saw this and brought out his shield and blocked the attack, Chop Shop tried to bite into the shield and held onto it with his many legs.
Grimlock tried to shake him off but the insecticon wouldn't release, noticing the horde of bugs stopped, he called out to Sludge, "Sludge! Light up this freak!" he yelled, Sludge aimed the minigun.
"You got it boss bot, hold on tight!" he yelled as Sludge open fired, Chop Shop was too busy trying to get through the shield he didn't realise he was being aimed until too late, hundreds of energon bullets were shot into him, he felt them pierce his body as they all brutally injured him.
After a few seconds the firing stopped, Chop Shop couldn't hold onto the shield anymore as he slid off it, barely functioning as he couldn't feel anything.
"Let's go, we need to find Snarl!" Grimlock said as he picked up Slash's body and carried her, Sludge followed, not before kicking the downed Insecticon and jogging after his leader.
They travelled further before they heard a yell of pain, which they recognised as their teammate.
"That's Snarl!" Sludge exclaimed as they started to run towards the yells, sound exiting the cave and finding themselves outside again, now in what looked like an Arena, on a platform above, the team leader saw another dinobot being held in a electric dome.
"Snarl, that you?!" Grimlock asked.
"Grimlock get me outta here!" Snarl yelled back.
"Yeah thats Snarl" Sludge said as then, a viewing box above the area lowered, revealing Shrapnel watching from above.
"Aw Grimlock, you and your team have come to rescue your friend?" Shrapnel taunted.
"I've come to tear you apart, Shrapnel!" Grimlock threatened, soon a door in the arena opened, revealing hundred, possibly thousands of Insecticons charging in, each different colours now as even bruisers entered the battle, Grimlock was trying to defend Slash as Sludge provided cover fire, soon Swoop and Slug also entered the battle with Swoop flying in, being chased by flying Insecticons and Slug fighting off Bruisers.
"We need to get Snarl out of there!" Grimlock yelled.
"Yeah, but we can't with these bugs on our tails!" Swoop yelled back as Grimlock looked to Slash, hoping she could help.
"Sludge, Swoop, cover me, I got an idea" he commanded as they did so, Grimlock placed his shield into the ground to make sure he won't get hit as he unstrapped Slash from the table and took the helmet off her.
"Slash wake up! We need your help, your the only one small enough and fast enough to get to Snarl and free him" he said, Slash wasn't responding however as Grimlcok was losing patience, he could hear Snarl yelling in pain from two electrical conductors next to him, zapping him with each passing minute, Grimlock had enough before he let loose some of his anger.
"LISTEN UP CADET SLASH! YOU WILL WAKE UP THIS INSTANT AND HELP YOUR FELLOW COMRADE IS THAT CLEAR?!" He yelled, which instantly woke up Slash as she saluted in a panic.
"Sir yes sir!" she yelled, only to see the chaos around her, "What in Primus?" she questioned.
"Good to see you back, now go help Snarl, thats an order!" Grimlock said, Slash realising no time to questions, just nodded as she leapt into the air, using the insecticons as stepping stones as she ran ahead, seeing and hearing Snarl yell in pain directed her to him as she landed next to him, Shrapnel saw this and was not happy.
"Oh no you don't!" he yelled as he transformed into his alt mode and flew at her.
Snarl saw this from his cage and warned her, "Slash look out!" he yelled, Slash turned and saw Shrapnel and back flipped out of the way, avoiding the insecticon.
"You and your team will die here Dinobot" Shrapnel threatened as he tried to bite Slash, only for her to pull out a long sword shaped like a tail, using it to defend against the bite.
"I don't think so Decepti-creep!" she said as she pushed him away, she then let out a shriek before transforming into her new velociraptor mode, making her look in confusion before she growls at Shrapnel, the battle between Dinobots and insecticons went on for a while as each side were getting the upper hand at one point and then another.
Slash had used her new speed and claws to attack Shrapnel, who was too big to dodge the attacks, having enough he tried to charge her, not realising she planned this as she jumped out of the charge, leading to insecticon to charge right into one of the conductors, electrocuting him instantly and disabling the cage trapping Snarl.
Shrapnel had transformed back to robot mode and fell to the arena below, which was now barely empty as some insecticons fled, Grimlock was in dino mode as he loomed over the defeated Insecticon leader, Shrapnel tried to crawl away in fear, only for Grimlock to bite his leg and swing him away.
A few minutes later, Grimlock and his team, now fully together, had taken refuge in what looked like a command centre as Snarl was recovering from his torture.
"We need to warn Ultra Magnus about this, Shockwave and these new cons will cause trouble all around the galaxy with that spacebridge!" Grimlock said.
"I'll see if I can get us a signal through," Slug said as he went to a terminal.
Each team member tried to relax, Grimlock however saw Slash looked exhausted as he walked over to her.
"Slash, you ok?" he asked.
"N-No, I'm not Grimlock" she answered, "Shockwave, he, he went through my mind, he was looking for something, something powerful and dangerous" she said.
"Like what?" Grimlock asked her as she looked scared.
"When we first came to this planet, I found a tablet in that bunker, it put new knowledge in my head, suddenly I knew things I didn't, power links, combiners, even how to do this combining, Shockwave studied my memories for them, I don't know if he got them but I still remember them, we need to get this knowledge to Ultra Magnus before its too late" Slash said.
"Don't worry, we will, We'll stop these cons if its the last thing we do" Grimlock said.
"Grimlock we have a problem, "Slug said, "all the channels to the Autobot council and Ultra Magnus are blocked here and they all have autobot comm locks" Slug explained.
"That's impossible, why would a decepticon lab of all places have autobot comm lock codes?" Swoop said.
"I don't know, but check this out, found it while I was searching for the communications" Slug said as he pulled out a audio log of Shockwave.
"After much studying of the new Decepticon recruit, codenamed Black Arachnia, I have perfected the CNA genetic combinations for the Insecticons to evolve, currently the process is slow but six candidates have succeeded through evolution, each codenamed as Shrapnel, Sharpshot, Bombshell, Hadshell, Kickback and Chop Shop, they shall become my right hand warriors for when we initiate our plan to invade Cybertron, once I have obtained the coordinates to Cybertron for my lab, the Decepticons will rule Cybertron, as Lord Megatron intended"
The team were in shock, Shockwave wasn't just planning to use them to fight the Autobots, but he had organised a full invasion with the Insecticons as his perfect foot soldiers.
"We need to get out of here and destroy that Spacebridge" Grimlock stated.
"How? It takes a lot of firepower to destroy a space bridge" Slug said.
"Yeah and how do we escape? They probably destroyed our ship when we first got locked up" Swoop said, Slash looked out the windows and saw something in the distance, a ship.
"Down there! There's a ship that could hold all of us" Slash said.
Grimlock looked out and saw the space bridge controls was unarmed and it wasn't to far, he also saw on a weapons rack in the room was an improved version of his old blaster, picking it up he looked to his team.
"Heres the plan you lot, I'll go and destroy the space bridge controls, you all get the ship and pick me up as soon as I blow it!" Grimlock said.
"What if we don't make it in time? What if something bad happens and we don't get to you in time?" Swoop asked.
"...Then I'll do what I must to get you guys out of here" Grimlock said, shocking his team.
"Grimlock, we won't leave you behind!" Sludge said.
"Yeah, we've come too far to lose you" Slug said.
"Relax, its fine" Grimlock said, "If I don't make it, at least I'll join my friends in the AllSpark if they are there" Grimlock said, ready to lay down his life for his friends.
"And so we acted out the plan, I went on ahead to deactivate the spacebridge while my team went and stole that ship, I had to fight through many decepticon drones and insecticons to even reach the controls, it was exhausting and terrible, especially since I hadn't taken a proper beak to recover, but we need to escape bad, what was strange however, was Shockwave was nowhere to be seen" Grimlock narrated.
Grimlock had made it to the controls and saw the space bridge was active, he saw the coordinates and didn't know where they lead but knew it would be bad if the decepticons had access to this space bridge much longer.
"You Decepticons don't deserve this space bridge, I'll make sure these coordinates will be the last you ever have" Grimlock said as he heard a ship nearby, looking to see his team had finished their part and were flying to him, quickly he pulled out his new blaster, but not before he jumped up as soon as the ship came near him, he grabbed onto the ship as it flew upwards, heading towards the space bridge portal, Grimlock took aim at the controls before he fired the weapon, the red energy blast it produced flew in the air and hit its target, completely destroying the controls.
Grimlock smiled under his mask as he pulled himself into the ship before it flew into the portal, as soon as they left, the space bridge exploded, sending out a massive shockwave that shook the entire facility.
*present time*
"Since then we had managed to get here, where low and behold, you were alive this entire time Optimus" Grimlock explained.
"I'm just glad your alright Grim, I'm sorry you had to go through all of that" Optimus said.
"Eh don't worry about Optimus, it may have been painful, but now we got some sick upgrades! I understand why you like flying so much now Windblade" Swoop said to the autobot flyer who chuckled.
"Yeah, well flying is the best way to travel" Windblade said.
"So what now? Whats your plans?" Foxhyll asked.
"Well, we can't go back to Cybertron now, not with that ship unable to fly, we hit an asteroid while flying in space, blew out the engine bad" Slash said.
"So your stuck here, like us" Bumblebee said, which Arcee jabbed his side.
"Afraid so" Grimlock said.
"Well, we'd be honoured for you to stay with us Grimlock" Optimus said, shocking everyone.
"Really?" Grimlock asked.
"Of course, you're one of my best friends, I'd never let you down Grimlock" Optimus said, Grimlock smiled under his mask as he nods to him.
"Thank you Optimus, we appreciate it" Grimlock said.
"Something tells me we're gonna have to make room" Sandspring said.
Ratchet went to Slash and tapped her shoulder, "Excuse me Slash but I'm going to have to check your memory core again, I want to make sure none of Shockwaves tampering had any lasting effects besides the beast mode personality" Ratchet said.
"Y-Yeah sure, just try not to look into my memories ok? Thats personal information" Slash said.
"Of course" Ratchet said as Slash went to lay on his medical table.
Meanwhile in Dr. Sumdacs lab, the destroyed animatronics of a Spinosaurus, Therizinosaurus, 2 pterodactyl animatronics tangled together, a styracosaurus, a Ankylosaurus and a Dilophosaurus laid in a large chamber, which was placed near Megatrons head, he took notice of the animatronics, as well as the broken teacher bot that laid on a workbench by the chamber.
Megatron scanned the broken teacher bot and scoffed, "XL-4 Processor, how primitive, my captor obviously possess the means to manufacture robotics, but clearly nothing of the scale I shall require for my own robotic body" Megatron said to himself as he proceeded to take control of the teacher bots head, activating it caused its tutoring mode to beturned on, still on the lesson of dinosaurs.
"Dinosaurs were capable of moving with tremendous speed and grace, besides the valuable information dinosaur bones provided, fossils also gave way to fossil fuels, which today, power our automobiles" it said as Professor Sumdac walked in, hearing the bot was active.
"Hah, I can't believe I programmed you with such simplistic information, everyone knows this" Sumdac said as he went to try and repair it.
"Oh but I did not".
"Well everyone but you" Sumdac said, only to gasp and drop his tools in realisation on what just happened, he looked to the head he thought was long deactivated and used for his robotics research, he saw the optics were online, it was alive.
"You…you spoke" Sumdac said, Megatron decided to act as if he were just activated, to make sure Sumdac had no idea he had been online for sometime now.
"Where…where am I?" Megatron said as he moved his optics around.
"You are in my lab, in the city of detroit, on the planet Earth it, it is a long story" Sumdac explained.
"Since it does not appear I will be going anywhere soon, I have plenty of time for a long story" Megatron said, smirking inwardly, now he has a means of learning more on his situation without having to scrape around for answers.
After a while Sumdac had explained the entirety of Megatron's current predicament and what had happened during his years of being offline.
"And that is how I found you, and how your friends, became heroes" Sumdac explained while working on the teacher bot, before turning to Megatron, "The Autobots and Maximals are your friends right?" he asked.
"Oh we have quite a history, though the Maximals are new to me" Megatron said.
"I have always worried what they would do if they discovered where my robotics knowledge really came from, and that I have been keeping you a secret" Sumdac said before turning to Megatron, "I suppose now I have no choice but to tell them the truth" Sumdac said, which alarmed Megatron as he was quick to answer.
"NO!" Megatron said, shocking Sumdac before Megatron quickly came up with an excuse, "Rather, I-I'm certain they will be more receptive to your borrowing of their robotic technology, if they first see you've repaired their dear old friend, until then, we shall simply keep my existence your little secret, in the meantime, perhaps I can lend a hand, so to speak, so you may restore these magnificent fleet-footed and extremely powerful creatures" Megatron said as he eyes the animatronics, already spawning new ideas on how to destroy the autobots and maximals.
It was the next day at the Autobot base, Prowl was trying to teach Bulkhead to be more graceful, keyword trying, as Bulkhead kept crashing and breaking things as he moved.
Watching nearby were the other autobots and Grimlock, Foxhyll and Sandspring were showing the Dinobots around the base so they could get familiar with it.
"No, you must move like a gentle wind" Prowl explained, "Observe" Prowl said as he focused in a pose before he made some fast movements and strikes with no issue, he then looked to Bulkhead who looked hesitant, he then tried, only to fail as he was too big to move so fast and made him trip on himself.
"Gentle wind? We'd be lucky to get him down to a omega-class solar storm" Bumblebee commented as Bulkhead kept trying, only to trip again and start falling, he was about to fall onto Prowl before Bulkheads fall was stopped, the one who stopped him was Grimlock, the group was only now realising his size compared to all of them, he was much taller than Optimus was and clearly, his strength was more than Bulkhead weighed as the dinobot prompted the big autobot back up with ease.
"Maybe try something else Bulkhead" Grimlock said, "Before you end up flattening your teammates" He said before walking over to where the living room was situated and sat on the large concrete couch.
"Well, guess we won't have to worry about any bots being crushed with Grimlock around," Bumblebee said.
Meanwhile back in Sumdacs lab, the Dinosaur Animatronics were repaired, although the pterodactyl animatronics were to be a single one with two heads, Megatron had convinced Sumdac it would be an interesting sight.
"They are wonderful, the Autobots will be most surprised by my, I mean, our latest robotic creation" Sumdac said as he rushed out excited.
"Oh they'll be excited alright, and the six of you will be perfect prototypes for my future army of attack drones!" Megatron said to himself.
Back at the autobot base, Prowl and Bulkhead had left so Prowl could teach Bulkhead to be more careful and gentle, currently Grimlock was with Foxhyll and Sandpsring, who were showing him Foxhylls room where the other Maximals are still in stasis.
"To think, we would become you guys in the far future" Grimlock said as he observed the pods.
"Yeah well it's not easy, since we still had vehicle mode components we needed vehicle and beast modes to function properly now" Sandsrping explained.
"I see, so when will your team mates awaken?" Grimlock asked.
"No idea, it was a miracle Sandspring found her forms and came online to help us with a new enemy we faced" Foxhyll explained.
"What can I say? I like to make an entrance" Sandspring said with a smile.
Grimlock couldn't help but wonder, if the Maximals and the Predacons he was told about were the future of Autobots and Decepticons, were they also the products of Shockwaves experiments? Grimlock was cautious about this but didn't want to bring it up incase it were true.
Just then Arcee walked into the room, "Hey guys, Professor Sumdac wants to meet us at that Dino Drive place, come on, the Dinobots are joining us too" she said, deciding they had nothing else to do, they followed, Grimlock lagging back, looking back at the stasis pods before walking out.
Later at the Dino Drive, civilians and the bots had arrived, with Sumdac speaking into a microphone.
"Utilizing state of the art robotics, I now bring Dino-Drive into the 22nd century, I give you, the Dinobots!" Sumdac said, catching the bots attention as the Animatronic Dinosaurs moved on their own, even the two headed pterodactyl bot was flying, all moving as if they were real animals, the crowd went wild, taking pictures and asking Sumdac questions.
"Pfft, I've seen better flying, heck I've flown better" Swoop said.
"Why are we further away from the people boss bot?" Slash asked Grimlock.
"I don't want people freaking out about how we came here" Grimlock simply said, but something in his circuits, in his spark was telling him something as he eyed the 'Dinobots' Sumdac made, specifically the Spinosaurus one, there was something odd about it.
"Simple minded creatures, easily entertained" Megatron said, watching from a screen back at Sumdacs lab, "Perhaps you'll find what I have in store, even more entertaining" Megatron said as he eye glowed strongly, showing he was initiating his plan into action.
Back at the Dino Drive, all of the animatronic dinosaurs that were rebuilt by Megatron, stopped moving as their eyes flashed red before the Spinosaurus roared loudly and proceeded to march towards the crowd, making the humans nervous as they backed away, Sumdac noticed this and grew worried as he held the remote for the animatronics.
"Now, no need to panic, just a little glitch, nothing I can't fix" Sumdac tried to reassure the crowd as they stepped away as he fiddled with the remote, the Spinosaurus then lunged at Sumdac, ready to attack him, when Optimus dived in grabbed him, saving Sumdac from the dinobot.
The Spinosaur looked to Optimus and growled with a scowl, as if it were really alive, before letting out a roar, which signalled the other dinobots to move as they changed out of their "pens" and joined with the Spinosaur, making all the humans panic and run away.
"Looks like we got some heads to smash" Sludge said as he ran into to help with the other DinoBots joining him.
The Styracosaurus tried to charge at Ratchet, however the medic activated his magnets and shot the energy at it, making it stop, however, the Styracosaurus bot was pushing through the magnetic field, until Slug charged in and transformed into dino mode.
"Lets see you push through Slug!" He yelled as he charged headfirst into the Dino animatronic, both were trying to push the other down.
The 2 headed pterodactyl bot flew around in the air as Bumblebee activated his stingers and Foxhyll his tail blaster as both fired at it, Swoop ran in and smirked.
"Alright, lets see how good this thing can fly compared to a pro!" Swoop said as he transformed to Dino mode and took flight, chasing the two headed dino as it tried to dive bomb Bumblebee.
Prowl was having trouble dealing with the Dilophosaurus bot as it managed to keep up with him in speed, even shooting tar like projectiles from its mouth at him, Slash joined into this fight as she grabbed her sword and deflecting one of the tar shots, hitting the Dilophosaurus bot in its face with its own attack, blinding it shortly as Prowl noticed Bulkhead not moving.
"Bulkhead! A little help?" Prowl asked as he then noticed the Ankylosaurus robot heading to head, swinging its club like tail at him as the Ninja bot dodged.
"Access the situation…choose my move" Bulkhead said to himself.
"Bulkhead, lets get it in gear!" Optimus said as he dodged another bite from the Spinosaurus bot, he tried to swing at it with the jet thruster activated, only for the spino to catch the blade in its mouth before swinging it and Optimus away, making the Autobot leader crash to the ground, before it could approach him however, Grimlock got in the Spinosaurus' way.
"You want my friend? You gotta go through me lizard lips!" Grimlock said as he transformed into dino mode, roaring at the Spino before they charged at eachother, both of the Dino Bots clashed as Grimlock headbutted the Spino in the chest, but the Spinosaurus used its claws to scratch and slash at Grimlocks face, making him roar in pain as the Spino tried to attack him more.
Bulkhead tried to get invovled as he brought out his wrecking ball, charging in a direction while swinging his wrecking ball in the air, "Acess the situation! Choose my move! Execute with graceful-" but Bulkhead tripped on a left behind car, making him fall and roll, accidentally hitting Prowl as they fell together, meanwhile Megatron was viewing the carnage from nearby security cameras.
"This is your best? Then you autobots truly are pathetic" Megatron said as he watched Grimlocks crew fighting his drones, They however will prove to be more troublesome, and your Maximals cohorts are proving to be the same" Megatron said to himself.
Back at the battle, Ratchet and Bumblebee were knocked back together before Ratchet got an idea, "Bumblebee, how about a little electricity to go with my magnetism?" He said.
"Gotcha! We create an electro magnetic pulse and shut 'em down" Bumblebee said following with the plan as they both used their abilities together, the energy fields of electricity and Magnetism combined as the new combined energy surrounded the Dinobots, including Grimlocks crew.
"Grimlock get outta there!" Windblade yelled as Grimlock and his crew saw the field.
"Dinobots! Fall back!" Grimlock yelled as the cybetronian dinobots did so, with struggle as the field was effecting their systems slightly.
Just as this was happening, Sari's key started reacting towards the direction of the EMP and the Dinobots, "Whoa!, this is new" Sari said as she walked towards Bumblebee before climbing up his body, which he noticed.
"Sari? What are you-"
"Let me give you guys a boost!" Sari said as she went to Bumblebee's arm as a slot appeared before she inserted the key, the new energy surged into Bumblebee's stingers before the EMP grew way stronger, just as the Dinobots escaped the field did the Animatronic dino's roar out before their organic looking bodies burn away, revealing the drones bodies, now with bodies looking almost similar to the Dinobots.
Back with Megatron, his single optic that was intact glowed a bright white as he felt energy surge through his processors.
"That Key…its as though it senses something within the dino bots, something…Cybertronian"
Back at Dinodrive, the now changed animatronics resembled the Dinobots Dino modes, having grey, black, red and gold metal armor and red glowing lights, even having blue eyes, but at the moment they were all shut down with no movement.
"I don't know what went wrong, I'm absolutely certain that Meg-I, my assistant an I thought of everything, I have to see what went wrong, take them apat, pull out the wiring and circuitry" Sumdac said as he opened a hatch on the Spinosaurus bot's stomach area.
"Um, isn't that a bit extreme?" Foxhyll asked.
"I agree with Foxhyll" Prowl said as both him and the Maximal looked at the Dinos with interest.
"Oh they are just machines" Sumdac said as he went through the pats of the dino bot, Prowl and Foxhyll looked unsure however.
Grimlock looked at the spino with a narrow stare, which his team mates noticed.
"Something wrong Grim?" Slug asked.
"Those robots, something doesn't feel right" Grimlock said suspiciously.
Later on, the Dino Bots were brought back to Sumdacs lab as they were lined up in the chamber they were in before.
"The Primitive Materials on this planet are useless, it will take countless solar cycles to create attack drones capable of my needs, and without more substantial robotics for my own body, my prospects are grim" Megatron said as he looked at the design specs of what he created for his drones.
"I am forever scorned by the universe as I remain in this prison of a lab" Megatron said to himself, before a new voice spoke up.
"Scorn…Scorn…" the voice was rough and feminine, and it came from the Spinosaurus bot, its eyes glowing blue as it was active, her jaw moved as she spoke, "Scorn!" She said.
So, the Autobots didn't destroy you, what did they do?" Megatron questioned before the other Dino Bots activated and stood up, Megatron tried to take control but noticed he couldn't connect with them wirelessly like before, "Strange, you do not respond to my Cybertronian commands, yet you all continue to function, almost, as if you had, Sparks" Megatron said before the Spino spoke.
"Me, Scorn!" she said.
Then listen well Scorn, I am Megatron, your leader" Megatron said, however, that seemed to spark something in Scorns mind as she growled, "Me Scorn, Leader" She said as the other Dino Bots responded to her being the leader.
"Obey me!" Megaton threatened as his eye glowed, however, the tutor bot activated as one of its pre-programmed lessons started.
"Good morning Sari, today we will lean the origin of fossils"
"Not you" Megatron said in annoyance.
"Which gave way to fossil fuels, which today power our cars and trucks" it said as it showed the process and cars and trucks on highways.
The Dino bots watched before Scorn made a conclusion, "Cars and Trucks, eat Dinosaurs…Cars and Trucks BAD!" Scorn growled in anger as she felt her insides boil.
Megatron, seeing an opportunity, quickly added on to her limited intelligence, "Yes, there is your enemy, they feed on your fossils, they seek your extinction! You must destroy them!"
Scorn and her Dino Bots growled in anger, "Destroy Cars and Trucks! Cars and Trucks BAD!" she yelled.
"And the only thing worse than Cars and Trucks, are Cars and Trucks that transform into robots!" Megatron said as he made the tutor robot show the Autobots and Maximals.
"Cars and Trucks Bad! Car Robots, WORSE!" Scorn yelled in anger before the boiling feeling got more intense, her chest glowing red.
"Now look within yourselves for your true power, you have something deep inside, waiting to come out" Megatron told them before all of them opened their mouths and suddenly, they breathed red hot flames at the tutor bot, burning it till it was burnt beyond recognition as the Dino Bots roared in glee before Scorn walked over to Megatron.
"Me Scorn like, but how?" She asked.
"I designed you and if you should succeed, I will create an army just like you, now go! Destroy! Destroy the fossil feeders!" Megatron coaxed them before all of the Dino Bots roared and proceeded to escape, via charging through the walls and floors, before being seen escaping Sumdac tower to rampage through the city.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAnd scene, man thi took a while, yep, this is turning into a three parter, I want this story to be good so you all have got to be more patient and kind, seriously, asking me to update another story on a different story? Not cool guys, yeah I have seen them and just be lucky you didn't get banned or whatever, I'm being kind but I don't like you guys constantly asking when I am updating.
Now listen, I got a couple of early morning shfifts so my sleep schedule is gonna be fucked up but I will have a full week off next week so I'll be working on these stories and more by then, so please, stop, asking, for updates
