Chapter 14

As I leave my room, I find that a breeze was trying to get me to go in one way so I went that that way to see where it leads me. It lead me to a room the candles did not light as I got near it since light was coming from it since it was partially open. I enter the room and see a couch with a shadow on it and the fire was light the candles next the couch were not lit and I was standing in the only light in the room. "So have you come of your own free will?" asked the Lady Beast. "Yes, my Lady your palace is grand and the service is great. I was starting to think that I would not meet the Lady of the palace," I tell her. "I am not the Lady of the palace you are the Lord of the palace now. See I am no longer the Lady of the palace not since someone has come to the palace of their own free will that has not married. You are the Lord of the palace it will arrange itself to fit your needs. If you get lost, your room will appear right around the corner. If there is anything, you need just ask and it shall be done," she said. "Is there anything that I should call you? I do not feel right calling a lady a beast," I tell her. "Just call me Beast for it is what I am so it is what I will be called," she does not wish to be called by anything but beast.

"Then I well call you B. since I do not know your name and I cannot call you a beast not since you are a lady even if you do not think you are one," I tell her. I hear a chuckle come from the shadow or at least I hope it was a chuckle since it sounded a bit like a cats laugh. "You do not even know me yet you wish to call me anything but what I am. For I am a beast, so I should be called Beast, but if you wish to call me B. then you can call me B.," she tells me and I can tell she is laughing at my insisting of not calling her Beast. "Is the room the way you like it? Is there anything that needs to be changed?" she asks. "Just the wardrobe, it is all way to fancy for my taste. I did not even dress like this in the city," I tell her; I wish I could see her since she can see me. "I will have my sister go through the wardrobe to make it more to your taste do you like the outfit you are in now?" she asks. "Yes, it is still fancy but more like what I would ware if I went to the stables in the city or around the house just not to a party my sisters handled what I wore to parties since they liked parties and I did not," I tell her.

"Yes my sister, is like that she loves parties and has not been able to have one for some time. I know you know my family so you know I have not always been the way I am now. I can tell you are not afraid of me even though you do not know me. You are not like anyone I have ever met in all my years here or even before I became the way I am now," she tells me. "Well I am not like most since I do not judge on looks which is something most people do, one of the friendliest men I ever knew was this scary looking man. He was a sea sailing man with tattoos all over his body and pricings on his face and ears, no hair and a tattoo of a scull on his head. See he did not like the fact that women flirted with him none stop he did what he had to do to get them to leave him alone. His wife has no problem with his looks and is happily married with five kids," I tell her.

"I see you did not judge him on his looks but on how he acted. You are defiantly not all what I thought you would be, see I saw you with Mike and I know he told you and your family the day he meet you. Even then, I did not think you would be so different from others that would be faced with the likes of me. I can see on your face you are not scared of me even though you have yet to see me," she says. "You can see me but I cannot see you B. I would like to know why you seem so sure I will be afraid once I see you. I do not think it can be all that bad, you seem like a good person there is no way for a good person to be all that scary," I tell her. "Let's see if you will stand by those words after you have seen me," she says as she starts to get up the candles light and I see her. She looks like a lioness without a tail with brown fur instead of tan; she has brown hair in a braided crown on her head she is wearing a blue silk dress with grey and purple patterns on it. "You are not that scary you look like a lioness without a tail actually," I tell her.

"That is very interesting comment Josh King. I have not been compared to a lioness ever. Demon, Beast, Monster, and more, but never a lioness, it is strange that you see me as a lioness. I cannot even see myself as anything like the magnificent beast you have compared me to. However, I thank you for that comparison," she said. "You're welcome, but it is true that is what you look like to me. See every one see's things differently take the clouds for instance I could see a cat in a tree and you could see a flower in a vase. It is the same cloud just two different views of the same thing," I see her head is tilted so she is either confused or thinking I am crazy. "You are strange but that is true it is all how you look at things I think of myself as a beast so I see a beast. You see me as a friend's family member that was changed into something that was not human, that makes your view of me open and not judgmental on how I look," she says. Outside the door I hear something, "What was that?" I ask. "You heard that?" she asked. "I heard something but I do not know what it was I heard. Why what was it that I heard?" I ask her.

"It was my sister she is happy that you do not seem afraid of me that means there might be hope for her and everyone here servant and my family alike," she tells me. So there is more of Mr. Beast's family here with her. That means that I need to find the way to free her and fast. "So are you going to go back to your room right now or look around a while before going to bed?" she asked. "I think I will look around the palace and see what there is here look around and try to learn my way around. If I am to leave here for some time I might as while now the lay out of the place," I tell her. "Mind if I walk with you to see how long it is till you get lost. Do not worry about getting lost I still get lost at times and then I end up back at my room or my tea room sometimes it sends me to that room," she tells me as she walks to the door. The candles light as we walk and I see all sorts of rooms but not even six halls later I was at my room and she laughs at this. So I try to find my way back to the room I meet her in and in six halls, again I was at my room she is laughing even harder now so hard that I think the palace is ringing with her laughter. "You sure find my getting lost funny," I tell her. "You only get six halls away then right back to your room you go that is funny," she tells me.

"Jackson, she is laughing now it is a good to hear her laughter again. He is the right one for her I can tell he is. I know it will not be long now till he frees her and all of us as well," I tell him. "Alice, do not get to hopeful right now. It may still be a few months till he frees her you know that so please settle down he heard you," Jackson tells me. "I know that means that he will be able to free us soon and I can tell he will love her soon. So will you help me start planning the wedding for them than we can do our wedding at the same time I will as my dear little sister," I know she will let me since she does not wish to marry before I marry so she will not disagree with a double wedding.

We had been walking for three hours and I still cannot find my way B. is laughing so hard, she can barely walk with me and we are standing outside my room for the twelfth time in three hours. She has a beautiful laugh, so I do not mind her laughing at me for getting lost. "I do not know if I can walk with you any more or I won't have any breath left to make it to my room do you mind if I just stay here while you walk I will see you in a few minutes any way," she says between laughs. "I was going to go to bed since I do not seem to be getting anywhere in the palace any time fast," I tell her. "Really, I can tell you I have not laughed so much in a long time. Josh will you marry me?" she asked. I am shocked she asked me that. "Well I do not know what to say B." I tell her. "Say yes or no without fear," she tells me. "No, B. sorry but we just meet so sorry I do not know you well enough yet," I think I have solved how to free her. "Very well then I will see you in the morning. My sister has talked with the servants. She has given them a wardrobe that you should like now. Good night Josh," she says. "Good night B." I say as she walks away.

As I enter my room, I find that the breeze, that I realize is the servants Ben and his wife Angelica, seems to have been waiting for me here in my room next to the fire. They have pick out a night gown for me to sleep in but I go to my bags and find the sleep pants with shirt that I sleep in at home and say, "This is what I like to sleep in do you mind if I sleep in it and not that night gown that you have picked out." I hear the wardrobe open and see the gown being put in it I also see the door to the music room open and then close so I take it Angelica or Angel, as she likes to be called, has left the room. I get dressed and head to the bed when the door opens and closes again and the breeze is back to help me with the canopy which I find annoying but I like it at the same time. I get in bed and I think I hear "He is a good man, Ben. She loves him already and he loves her I think." It sounded like a woman so I think Angel might have been the one to say it. "Your right Honey. They do love each other just cannot see it yet," said a male must have been Ben.
