Chapter 48
Ezra and I were sitting with Oliver at one of the little tables in the kid section of the library. We decided to get him his own library card, so he can check out books on his own if he comes with Malcolm or someone takes him. Also, he doesn't have to keep using my card and he is at the age. He pointed to the name part of his library card and looked at us. God, part of me hates that my baby is getting so big that he can actually have his own library card.
"What name?" Oliver asked.
"Your name silly." I told him
"But which one?" He questioned.
"You can put Ollie." Ezra said.
"Here you go daddy." Oliver said, seemingly giving up.
"You gotta write your own name, lil man." Ezra explained.
"Oh man." Oliver sighed
Malcolm came up as Oliver started spelling his name out. He had agreed to talk to someone about everything going on with Maggie and luckily for us, Sullivan agreed to talk with him. We told him that if he didn't like therapy, then he doesn't have to continue it. But to at least give it a couple of sessions. I'm starting to feel like he has earned his grounding end early, just haven't been able to bring it up to Ezra yet.
"There's comics for at the books sale section. Can I get some?" Malcolm asked and I nodded, pulling a five out of my pocket.
"Here's five dollars. Go nuts, do not give me back change." I said.
"Thanks mom!" He said before rushing back.
"Aren't the comics over there only a quarter each?" Ezra asked and I nodded.
"Yeah." answered.
"He's also going to come back with eighty comics." Ezra joked.
"Not even going to correct your horrible math." I told him.
"I have a masters degree in American literature, not math." Ezra responded.
"You're twenty eight, going on twenty nine and can't do basic math." I joked.
"Just gonna keep making fun of me for that aren't you?" He asked
"I'm your fiancée, it's my job." I told him as he gave me a small smile.
….
Malcolm and I were in the kitchen while Ezra was chasing Oliver around. Once we got back from the library, the boys had set up a fort and convinced us to play Mario carts on the gaming console. Oliver had kept knocking me or Ezra off the track once he figured out how to do it. Now Oliver somehow got Ezra to play some chasing game while Malcolm and I were deciding what to bake because we both want some dessert.
"Do you want to make cupcakes, brownies, pie or a cake?" I asked, looking at Malcolm.
"We gotta hide!"
I watched as Oliver took Malcolm's hand and pulled him away from the counter. They ran out the door, barely closing it as they went. Knowing Oliver, he's gonna make Malcolm hide in a very obvious spot for Ezra or even me to find them. Counting down from five in my head, Ezra walked in as I got to three and came by me. Maybe he should wait a few minutes to humor ourselves and to make Oliver think he's actually looking. He kissed my forehead as I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"I know I heard the door but Ollie hiding in here to throw me off?" He asked.
"Nope, he dragged Malcolm with him outside… But, I say we give them a few minutes." I murmured and he chuckled.
He quickly glanced out the window before pressing his lips to mine. Not wanting the kiss to end, I slowly ran my fingers through his hair. All of a sudden, he had me pinned up against the counter and slipped his tongue into my mouth. A couple of birds were chirping outside… crap, the boys are outside.
"As much as I enjoy this, the boys could come back inside. So we might want to go find them." I said, reluctantly pulling away.
"But where would they hide?" He asked.
"Either somewhere in the treehouse, or Fish's doghouse."
…
Ezra's pov - next morning
The boys were playing in the backyard, Aria was still fast asleep. Looking at the clock, I saw it was almost ten twenty. Aria doesn't usually sleep later than ten, at least she didn't when she was pregnant with Oliver and now Oliver usually makes sure she's awake at the crack of dawn. Even when I do keep Oliver from waking her up, she's still up somewhat early. The Keurig beeped and I put in K-cup of Aria's favorite coffee before putting her mug under the machine. Hearing groaning from the stairs, I knew that Aria was at the stage of irritation and discomfort in her pregnancy. She walked into the kitchen and sat at the island, glaring at me. This must have come early since she's pregnant with twins, she was seven months last time when it hit her.
"How did you sleep?" I asked.
"Ugh, why do you care?" She responded annoyed.
"Because you're my fiancée, I love you and care about your well-being." I told her
"It's annoying." she muttered.
"I'm sorry, why don't I take the boys to work with me?" I suggested.
"I don't care." She responded.
She sat down at the island as I quickly put her almond milk and a few Splendas into her coffee. Passing the mug over to her, I grabbed the boys bowls out of the sink and put them in the dishwasher. I'd stay home with her, but she'll just get annoyed with my presence…. even if I'm in a different room. Plus, I do have some paperwork on my desk that needs to get done today.
"But before I go, would you like me to make you something for breakfast?" I asked.
"Can you make me some scrambled eggs with those seasonings?" She asked..
"Absolutely, would you like them plain or cheesy?"
"Cheesy." She told me.
"You got it." I responded.
Opening the fridge, I grabbed the eggs, shredded Colby Jack, and the milk. I set it all onto the counter before opening the cabinet and pulling out the parsley, salt, pepper, and the Italian seasoning. Seeing the frying pan in the drying rack in the sink, I placed it on the stove and opened the eggs to see there was still eight eggs left. Guess we'll have to get more soon.
"Want one or two?" I asked
"Two." She responded and I quickly cracked them.
Separating the eggs in the pan, I sprinkled some cheese onto the smaller though she said she wanted cheesy, I know that she's going to want plain. This had happened a lot during her pregnancy with Oliver and she cried last night when she had chocolate ice cream instead of the vanilla - even though she had been craving the chocolate. As the eggs cooked, I kept a secret eye on Aria. Making sure the smell wasn't going to make her sick. She was just watching the boys outside, sipping on her coffee. I quickly put her eggs onto a plate.
"Here you go babe." I said, placing the plate in front of her and she bursted out crying.
"Shhh, hey what's the matter baby?" I asked, kneeling down.
"I.. actually…. wanted plain." She said sobbed .
"Shh? It's okay baby. I had a feeling you were gonna change your mind. So I made it mostly plain, with that part being cheesy." I said, pointing to the small portion of cheesy.
"Thank you." She said.
"Anytime." I responded, kissing the top of her head.
"Now I want you." She pouted.
"Well, the boys are wide awake and outside. The last thing we or they want is to see us in that position…. why don't you find me later tonight?" I suggested.
"Okay." She said as I wiped the last few of her tears away.
"I should be home no later than three." I told her, before making my way towards the back door.
"Ez."
"Yeah?" I asked, turning around.
"Don't forget these." She said, tossing her keys to me.
"I don't need the car, it's only a ten minute walk." I told her.
"You. Are. NOT. Walking. Besides, Oliver would just start complaining within five minutes." She snapped.
"Okay, I won't walk." I said, regretting even suggesting I walk.
Walking out the backdoor, I saw Malcolm reading in one of the deck chairs while Oliver was on the swingset. Malcolm glanced up as I sat down, he seemed a bit annoyed that his reading was being disturbed - definitely gets it from Aria. Maybe he could hang out with Toby or possibly one of his friends even though he's still grounded, if he doesn't want to go to The Brew today.
"Whatcha reading?" I asked.
"Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Moms cranky." Malcolm said and I knew he must have heard some of my conversation with Aria.
"Shhh, it's the pregnancy. You two are coming with me to work today. Also don't say anything to mom about her mood." I told him.
"Okay, can I get a coffee? And are we able tosay bye to mom or will she devour us?" He asked.
"Yes, you can say bye to mom. I'll consider letting you have a small decaf." I said,
"If she devours us, it's on you." He responded.
"Malc, that's not gonna happen. You and aoliver are the last people that would happen to." I promised.
"Absolutely positive she won't devour us or anything?" He questioned.
"Malcolm…." I warned.
"Okay, okay. But don't say I didn't warn you." He said.
"Ollie, time to go to The Brew." I called out.
"Okay boys, go say bye to mom and you can start the car. Just make sure your brother is buckled in alright?"I said, handing the keys to Malcolm.
"Bye mom!" Malcolm said as I followed them back inside.
"Bye babes, have fun with dad today." She told him.
"Bye mama!" Oliver exclaimed.
"You have fun too mr. Oliver and behave for daddy." She said, brushing some of his hair back.
Come on Ollie." Malcolm said, taking Oliver's hand.
I picked up the pan I used for Aria's eggs and put them in the dishwasher. The door closed and I glanced over towards Aria, watching her slowly eat her eggs. Which I'm sure they'll be cold soon enough and she'll probably call me crying because they got cold. As much as I'd like to give the twins a kiss, I don't want to be murdered at this moment. The car started from outside and Aria looked over towards me confused.
"I had Malcolm start the car. Do you need anything else before I go?" I asked.
"Yes but I have to wait until later. So, no." She responded, slightly bitter.
"Well to make it better, I'll give you a foot massage. Call me if you need anything." I told her.
"I know, you say this every time." She groaned and rolled her eyes.
"Try and get some rest today love." I suggested.
"Whatever." She muttered.
I quickly kissed her forehead, knowing she wouldn't want one on her lips. Checking to see that Fish and Tiger had water, I quickly made my way out the front. Malcolm was sitting patiently in the passenger seat, and Oliver was buckled into his car seat. With Oliver's facial expression, I knew he wanted to be up in the passenger seat instead. Just as I opened the door, Malcolm looked over at me.
"She was nice to us." He said as I got into the car.
"Well, she likes you more." I pointed out.
"I would like us more too." He said and I shook my head.
"Why can't I be up front?" Oliver asked as I pulled out of the driveway.
"Because you're too little. You need to be in the back in your car seat." I told him.
"Told you so." Malcolm said.
…
I was doing some paperwork while the boys were out in the shop, Malcolm was helping Sabrina and I'm hoping Oliver's still coloring at the table. My phone started vibrating and I saw Aria's face appear on the screen.
"Hey you, what's up?" I asked
"Tell your best friend to leave me alone." She snapped.
"Technically, you're my best friend. But put the other one on the phone." I said.
"I just wanted to check on her!" Hardy said the second he had the phone.
"Dude, leave her alone. She's fine and if she wants company or needs something, she'll ask someone to come over." I told him.
"She threatened to hit me with a shoe." He tattled, sounding like Oliver.
"I'll let her and I'm sure Cait would as well. Leave her be." I told him again.
"Fine. Here she is." He muttered.
"He's leaving. Thank you." She said, a bit nicer.
"Anytime, if he comes over again just hit him with the shoe."
"Oh I plan on it and I even told him so." She told me.
"That's my girl. I'll see you later, love you baby." I said
"Yeah, yeah, yeah." She responded and I could practically hear her rolling her eyes at that
"Daddy, I'm hungry." Oliver said walking in, just as I hung up and I glanced at the time
"It's almost lunch time, why don't you go get brother and we can go get some pizza."
"Yay! Pizza!" He cheered and went to go find Malcoom
….
Staring at the list of inventory I need to order, I glanced up sensing someone at the door. Aria stood there, barely damp from the rain and I figured either Hardy gave her a ride, she walked before it started raining, or she just took Hardy's car. But with her being annoyed at anything and everything, it's best not to ask her. The boys must still be in the kitchen helping Sabrina, Ryan, and Sloan if they don't know she's here and Oliver would have made it obvious to me from the front..
"Hey you." I greeted her.
"Can you open this damn jar?" She asked, annoyed, walking over.
"Absolutely." I said, taking the jar from her.
"You could've just asked Hardy to." I added with a light chuckle.
"I didn't want to deal with Hardy." She responded, rolling her eyes as I opened the jar
"Fair enough. Here you go love." I handed it back to her and she just stared at me
"Would you like a kiss?" I asked and she nodded.
"Come here then." I said as she set the jar back down,
Gently pulling her into my lap, I brushed some hair behind her ear and grazed her lips with mine. She ran her fingers through my hair, which I knew she wasn't going to want just one. I pressed a few more kisses to her lips and she cupped my face, unwilling to let me stop. Slowly pulling away, I softly pressed my lips back to hers once more before fully pulling away. Seeing the pout in her eyes, I held back a chuckle and kissed her forehead.
"I don't think you want either of the boys to see this." I carefully reminded her.
"No." She pouted, taking her jar of pickles and sitting on the couch.
"I can give you a ride home if you want to wait a few minutes." I told her.
"Can I stay here for a bit? I'm comfy now." She asked.
"Aria baby, you know you don't have to ask. You can stay as long as you'd like." I reminded her.
"Did you remember that we have to bring the boys to registration today?" I asked, looking at my desk calendar.
"I knew we had to do it soon." She muttered and I knew she wouldn't want to be reminded that Oliver starts kindergarten.
…
Aria's pov
Oliver snuggled his head into my shoulder as I followed Ezra and Malcolm towards the registration desk. When we had gotten Oliver all registered, we found out that he won't be in Caitlyn's class but Mrs. Parker's. Spencer, Toby and I had her when we were in kindergarten. Brushing some of Oliver's hair with my hand, I kissed his forehead. I'm just glad he didn't have a tantrum like I thought when he was told he wouldn't be in Caitlyn's class.
"Name of student and birthday." The admissions lady said.
"Malcolm Fitz, January eleventh two thousand and four." Ezra said.
"Here is your schedule, locker number, and school handbook." She said, handing Malcolm his stuff
"Go over towards that table where Principal Clarkson is and he'll let you pick out a book for your language arts class." She told them.
"Here lil man, let's give mama a break." Ezra said, reaching for Oliver.
"What's your schedule babes?" I asked Malcolm and he handed me his schedule.
AP Spanish 1 - Seniorita Lopez
Advance Language arts -
Life Science - Mrs. Allen
Math - Mrs. Thatcherson
Lunch
Gym/Health - Mr. Harris
World History - Ms. Murphy
Students, as we will be discussing the books when school is back in session please make sure to read one of the following books before the first day of school: Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn, or The witch of Blackbird pond. - Mr. Jones
"So now we have to go get your book for language arts." Ezra said
"You'd think they would have given them out at the end of last school year to read over summer." I said, looking at Ezra as we got closer to principal Clarkson's table.
"You can pick out which one you want to read ahead." She told Malcolm.
"Can I pick out more than one?" Malcolm questioned and she nodded.
"Definitely our son." I joked and Ezra chuckled as Malcolm stared at the books before picking them all up.
"Did you pick all three?" I asked and Malcolm nodded.
"One hundred percent our son." Ezra chuckled.
"Wanna look around at the clubs and activities?" I asked Malcolm and he shook his head.
"Okay Mr. Oliver, are you ready to go meet your teacher?" I asked.
"I want Cait Cait." Oliver whined.
"They didn't put you in her class lil man, but I bet your teacher is very nice." Ezra said
"I remember Mrs. Parker, I had her. She is very nice." I reassured Oliver.
Walking towards the classroom, it brought me back to when I was in kindergarten with Spencer and Toby. Long before Emily and even Hanna, it was just the three of us. I always had to have the cubbie next to Spencer and Toby would either grab it for me or try to fight me for it. Kindergarten was where I met Holden, even though I'm pretty sure Toby was friends with him first. But once I met Holden, he all but ditched Toby. As we walked in, Mrs. Parker looked over and saw me, excusing
"Aria Montgomery, I remember you clear as day. Are you finally done picking on Toby?" She asked knowingly.
"Oh absolutely not." I said laughing.
"How's Holden these days?" Mrs. Parker asked
"I actually haven't spoken to him in years." I told her.
"Who is this little guy?" She asked, looking at Oliver.
"Mrs. Parker, this is Oliver. He's going to be in your class this year." I said and Oliver quickly hid behind Ezra.
"Hope you know I'm not coming with you everyday to class so you can hide behind me lil man." Ezra said
"Yes you are." Oliver told him.
"This is Oliver's father Ezra… also known as the very tall kid that will apparently be joining your class this year." I said.
"Hi, nice to meet you Mrs. Parker." Ezra said, shaking her hand.
"You as well Ezra. And Oliver, we're going to have lots of fun this year. Can't wait to see you on the first day." She said as more parents walked in with their kids
"Well it was lovely to see you again Aria and meeting you Ezra. I look forward to having Oliver in my class. Excuse me, I must meet the other parents as well." She excused herself.
"Bye Mrs. Parker. I said as Oliver went to explore the room.
"It's been awhile Ar, maybe you should call Holden up to hang out." Ezra suggested and I stared at him.
"Babe, the reason I don't talk to him is one: he thought he had a chance to steal me from you. And two: he left me in the city with no way home….. which you rescued me." I pointed out.
"Oh yeah." He remembered.
"And I thought I was having brain farts." I giggled.
We saw Oliver staring at the cubbies with Malcolm. By their facial expressions, I knew Oliver was not accepting that the cubbie labeled with his full name was not his. As we walked over, I saw that he had the cubbie that I always had unless Toby took it. Each name was in rainbow colors and in a big comic sans ms font, just how she did when I was in her class. God, part of me wants to go back to kindergarten… pretty sure it's just for naps.
"That's not my name." Oliver said, pointing to the 'Oliver' in rainbow colors.
"Yes it is." Ezra, Malcolm, and I all said.
"Ollie, this was my cubbie when I was in kindergarten." I told him, knowing he'll accept it as his.
"You were in kindergarten?" He asked with wide eyes.
"Yeah, and daddy went to kindergarten too." I said.
"Were there dinosaurs daddy?" He asked, looking at Ezra.
"Ollie, how old do you think I am?" Ezra questioned as Malcolm and I snickered,
"I dunno, Mhmm seventy ten" Oliver guessed as we walked out of the classroom.
"I'm twenty-eight, lil man." Ezra told him.
"That's as old as Santa!" Oliver said.
"You are kinda old babe….. but you still look hot." I whispered.
All of a sudden, Caitlyn walked out of her classroom and Oliver ran towards her. Even though he seemed to understand that he can't have Caitlyn as his teacher, I know he still wishes he could. We followed as Caitlyn kneeled in front of Oliver. Still can't believe my baby is starting kindergarten in a few weeks. It seems like only yesterday, he turning one and only saying 'no' to everything, even if he meant yes. Glancing into her classroom, I saw that Rosie was meeting a few other students. Weirdly enough, Oliver is more upset about not being in Caitlyn's class then not being with Rosie.
"Who's lucky to have you in their class Ollie?" Caitlyn asked.
"Mrs. Parker." I told her as Oliver looked at me.
"I've met her a few times, she's a sweetheart." She said, looking at him.
"She remembered all the times I picked on Toby." I told her, getting her to laugh.
"Pretty sure you still pick on him." Ezra whispered and gave me a small smile.
"Oh hush you." I said and he took my hand into his.
"I want you." Ollie told Caitlyn.
"I know sweetie, but you'll get to hang out with me after school everyday!" She told him.
"Yay!"
"Can I get a snack from the vending machine?" Malcolm asked,
"Me too! Me too!" Oliver exclaimed and I shared a look with Ezra.
"Alright, nothing to big otherwise neither of you will be able to eat dinner. Here's two five dollars…. what?" Ezra asked, seeing Malcolm and I were staring at him.
"Two five dollars? That would be ten dollars babe, this is why you're going back to kindergarten with Ollie." I told him, giggling.
"Ha, ha. Funny. I want my change back Malc."
"Learn math then we'll talk." Malcolm said, leading Oliver down the hall.
Can't believe Mrs. Parker actually remembered all the times I had picked on Toby that year. Even the times when Holden would play with me and, although it was usually whenever Spencer wasn't there…. which as a Hastings, it wasn't many times she missed school. But once in awhile, he'd play with me and Toby. Ezra quickly pressed a kiss to my hand as we waved bye to Cait and started after the boys.
"I know you said that you wanted mac n cheese for dinner, but is that what you're still craving?"
"Yes, because I'm still sad that I messed up those Mac n cheese cups for lunch. Literally cried for twenty minutes until I wanted the pickles." She told me.
Alright, I'll make two boxes unless you want me to make a third?" He said
All of a sudden, someone walked out of a second grade classroom a few feet ahead. They turned and saw us, getting me and Ezra to stop. Clearly Ezra and I both feel like we can't move due to her staring at us. Is she ever going to move or just stand there and stare? Nicole continued to stare at us as she finally started walking… towards us - crap. Apparently, Ezra shutting her idea down that he gets back with her and not me, made her bitter. I honestly hope she finds someone who will love her the way Ezra loves me. But seriously, who tries to get back someone who dumped them because they're still in love with their ex? As she walked past, I saw her looking at my ring from the corner of her eye.
"Well, that was awkward." Ezra managed through a laugh.
"Is that why we're laughing?" I asked as he led us down the hall.
"We suck at awkwardness." He told me.
"She just stared into our souls." I laughed.
"I'd stare into you soul all day if I could." He said, wrapping his arm around my shoulders.
"How am I not surprised you said that? Oh, three boxes might be a good idea." I finally answered his question about the Mac n cheese.
…
Ezra kissed my forehead as I snuggled into him. I'm still pretty irritated, but at least not at Ezra… mostly. He somehow turned our bedroom into a DIY movie theater, and picked out a bunch of both of our favorite movies. He even managed to get me a green apple and watermelon icee. Of course, he remembered the foot massge he promised while I had completely forgot about it. I glanced at his alarm clock which said it was ten oh five then glanced towards the door. Oliver refused his nightlight during dinner and I'm just waiting for him to come barging in, wanting to either stay with us or for Ezra to turn his nightlight on.
"What's going through that beautiful mind?" Ezra questioned.
"How long do you think Oliver will last in his room without the night light?" I asked.
"According to Malcolm, he was out like a light by the time I got home… so he might make it through the night."
"Are you gonna tell me how you managed to get me a icee and chocolate covered cherries without me knowing?" I asked.
"I waited until you got into the shower and put Malcolm in charge of Oliver. Made sure they knew not to disturb you." He said and I giggled.
"Sneaky man." I teased as he grazed his lips against mine.
"Last one, baby." He murmured, slipping another chocolate covered cherry in my mouth.
"Are you just trying to fatten me up so you can shove me in the oven?" I questioned.
"Not at all, baby. But I don't think you should read Hansel and Gretel to Ollie anymore." He said, brushing a bit of my hair behind my ear.
"Would've gotten strawberries but I felt like Oliver would've known somehow." Ezra murmured and I giggled
"Oh, he definitely would have. I got groceries once and the second I walked through the door, he came running towards me and pulled the strawberries out of a random bag and ran off with them. It was like he knew exactly where they were without looking through each bag. I didn't tell him that I was going to get them and Caitlyn was watching him." I told him.
"That's a little concerning, is he physic or something?" He asked.
"No, but I think he has a six sense when it comes to strawberries." I said.
Neither one of us has said anything about running into Nicole earlier, which I'm quite alright with. It's not an easy topic when she's the one Ezra left me for then dumped her for me again, then she tried to convince him to not get back together with me. I giggled as he slowly wiped my bottom lip before pressing his lips to mine. Running my hands through his hair, I moaned as he started laying us down. I slowly slipped my hands under his shirt just as my phone beeped, pulling us apart and we sat up. He handed me my phone and I saw it was a text from Toby as he started cleaning off our bed.
'Peter and Mary are inviting you guys over to their house tomorrow for dinner. Mom and dad said they'll take the boys. Mike, Emily, and Maya were invited too.'
"We are invited to the Hastings manor tomorrow for dinner. My parents are apparently taking the boys." I told Ezra, setting my phone back down.
"What?" I asked, seeing Ezra was just staring at me.
All of a sudden, his lips were on mine. I giggled as I wrapped my arms around his neck and pressed myself against him as much as I could. He started trailing kisses along my neck, moving his hand up and down my thigh. This was exactly what I've been wanting all day, of course the waiting was a bitch. If the boys hadn't been at The Brew with Ezra and it had been closed….Pretty sure I would have thrown myself at him.
"Oh god." I moaned as his lips pressed against the front of my throat and he chuckled.
"I think tomorrow, we should stay in bed most of the day and I can kiss you right here." He murmured, kissing the front of my throat again.
"Mhmm, you do realize we have kids right?" I managed.
"Damn." He muttered and I giggled.
"Well…. we have all night though." I whispered into his ear.
His lips were suddenly on mine and I ran my fingers through his hair. I giggled as he started slowly caressing my thigh with his thumb, god I love it when he does that. He slowly moved his hands up towards my hair, pulling away and pressing his lips to the crook of my neck. Why does he even want to sleep with me for anyway? I'm a fat whale, this pregnancy is turning me into a goddamn whale. He slid his hand back onto my thigh and slowly caressed it again. As he slipped his tongue into my mouth and moved his free hand up the t-shirt I stole from him, I bursted out crying. He quickly pulled away and took my hands in his. There is no way he actually wants to sleep with a whale.
"I'm sorry baby, did I touch you the wrong way?" He asked, concerned.
"No… I'm too fat for sex." I cried and he kissed the top of my head, lifting my face to look at him
"Aria Marie Fitz, you are not fat. You're pregnant with twins." He reminded me.
"Promise I'm not fat?" I asked.
"Promise." He whispered.
"Okay…" I whispered.
"May I kiss you again?" He asked.
"You better." I told him.
I ran my fingers through his hair again as he brushed his lips against mine. He slowly ran his hands up and down my sides, getting me to giggle as it tickled. Just as I pressed my lips harder to his, he began caressing my thigh again. I quickly wrapped my legs around him, he pulled me closer and slipped his tongue into my mouth. Just as I started tugging at his shirt, there was light banging on the door.
"Let Ollie in!" We heard Oliver and Ezra gently plopped me down.
"Damnit." I whispered as Ezra reluctantly got out of bed.
"Or maybe we don't have all night." He murmured before going to let Oliver in.
"Did you get scared Ollie?" I asked and he nodded.
"I did NOT have my nightlight." He pouted as Ezra scooped him up onto our bed
"That's because you didn't want it. Thought you said you didn't need it cause you're a big boy now?" I reminded him.
"What do I know? I'm only five mama!" He told me.
"I sleep here." He declared.
He quickly crawled over and curled up in the middle. Within seconds, we both heard Oliver's soft snores. I watched as Ezra carefully got into bed. He looked at Oliver then at me before trying to maneuver around him with no luck. Holding back my laugh, I watched as he tried a different way and Oliver ended up moving more onto Ezra. He looked at me defeated.
"Can't even reach over there to kiss you goodnight." Ezra whispered.
"Poor baby, guess you'll just have to suffer." I teased quietly.
"I'll just find you in the morning." He breathed and I winked.
