Chapter 24
"B. thank you for letting me see them and now we know that they are coming to visit and they want to meet you so do not worry my sisters will just ask if I have done anything that they can tease me about since I arrived here that you can tell them. Father will check to make sure I am happy and well I am happy I would be hard to please if I was not happy. Mother will ask what you like and if I have been kind and not insulted you in any way," I tell her. "How can you be so sure they will ask that and not run screaming from me?" B. asks as she turns and sits in a chair not too far from the couch. "I know because I know them well and know that they do not wish to insult you while they are here or at home, since I am here with you," I tell her and can see that she is not happy about something.
"B. what's wrong and do not say nothing because I know something is wrong," I tell her. "How can I meet your family after scaring your Father and brother-in-law John? Then I took you away from them and you have to stay here with me and they can only come visit every few months and you will miss big events such as weddings and new arrival's to the family," B. said. I can tell that she is about to cry and I wish there was something I could do to help her see that they are happy to see me and will learn to like her as well. Since I could not I just walk over to her and put my hand on her shoulder and said, "B. do not worry about that just be yourself and they will see you for who you are not as a monster." She just sits there, puts her hand on mine, and holds it for a while and I hear something that sounds like someone screaming for joy. "What was that sound was it your sister that I heard on the first night here?" I asked. "Yes and she is happy about something I just do not know what and she will not tell me till after she calms down," B. says.
That must have been Alice and I think I know what she is happy about she can see that I wish to hold her right know to try to cheer her up and make her feel better. I do wish to free her and I think I will free her while my family is here if I am right about how to free her that is. If I am then I will free her soon then because I have fallen for her and I do wish to marry her but what if she does not wish to live anywhere but here and I have to give up my house. While I will for her, she is great and I know she has a beautiful heart and must be as beautiful outside as she is inside.
"Did you see that Jackson he did not pull away when she held his hand he has fallen for her as she has for him. He will free her soon and then they can marry and live happily and have many kids. Then I can have fun with their little ones well that is as long as I can since we well be married soon and we might have our own on the way at that time," I am so happy right know they are in love even if they cannot see it I can so can the servants can see it. "Alright Alice calm down yes they are on their way to being happily married but he still needs to agree to marry her first. We do need to start planning since we do not know when he will agree and he might agree soon if his family likes her as well," Jackson tells me. "I know that and I think I need to write another letter to him to ask if what he likes and find out what kind cake he likes," I tell him. He just laughs at this and asks "Already planning the wedding then?" I just smile and walk away leaving him laughing in the hall.
"Josh why are you so nice to me even though I am the reason you left your family and you cannot see them or go home now?" B. asks me. "Well you are a nice person B. and well it is hard not to be nice to a Lady and do not say you not a lady because you are one. You have become my friend and that is not something most can do all most all of my friends are family or a friend of a family member. I do not seem to get along with most people so I do not have many friends that are outside of my family," I tell her. "I find that hard to believe since you get along with most here even though you cannot see them at all you do get along with them well most of them since you and Ben had a disagreement over what you will wear. His supervisor is not a fan of you since she had told him to put that outfit out for you to wear. See she does not like Alice taste in style and has been trying to get her to stop helping or as she puts it messing up the wardrobes of the palace," she tells me.
"Well I like what she picks for me to wear for it is more like what I like to wear. As long as the cloths are not too fancy then I do not care who picks them out as long as I like them," I tell her. "Then Alice will be the one to handle your wardrobe since if Mrs. Helga was to be in charge it would be velvet, lace and silk all the time," B. tells me. "Well then let Alice be the one in charge for I do not like wearing velvet, lace, or silk if I can avoid it that is," I tell her. This makes her laugh and I do love her laugh it is a sound that I could never tire of. That is when I notice she is still holding me hand and I do not say anything since I do not mind I just wish I could be holding her in my arms right now. As we are sitting there, she leans into me, and I find out that I do not mind the fact that she is a beast right now just that she is the woman that I wish to marry.
She then realizes that she is leaning into me and sits up. "Sorry about I did not realize I had leaned against you," she said. "I did not mind. You were in need of someone to lean on and I was the only option so you do not need to apologize to me," I tell her, she looks away, and I think she would be blushing if she were human. A bell rings and it is then that I realize the time it is all-most night we had been here all most all day. "While it is supper time, let's get down to the dining room so you can eat and we can talk," she said as she got up and started to walk out of the room.
