Chapter 31
I am walking in the garden answering questions left and right about life here at the palace and about B. I know my sisters want to meet her right now but I have to keep telling them that they will meet her later on today. I do wish she could be here with us but I do not wish to scare the little ones. I have to free her so that she can meet them for I know they would love her as she would them. I have never thought about having kids but I think I would want some if she were to be with me as their mother. "Hello, Josh, you there?" Ginny asks. "Huh?" I say. "I was asking where is the rose garden that Father and John met B.," she said. "It is this way," I say. I lead them to the rose garden and I can hear my sisters take in air as they see this garden. "I can see why she guards this garden it is a work of art," Amy said. "I agree with you Amy," said Maria as the rest of my sisters' nod their heads in agreement. "Yes, do not pick any roses for there is a different rose garden for that, but it is not as grand as this one because it is for being picked to put in the palace that is why it is not on the tour of the gardens," I tell them.
"Why not I would like to see a garden that is not perfect since my garden will never be perfect," Amy said. "Because even I do not know where it is. The servants to but I cannot talk to them. I have not found them ether on my own but I have heard of them from B. when I asked if there was a garden that was not perfect here," I tell them. "Wow, that is something there is a garden that is just for picking and the others are just for looks," Maria is shocked about this. "Have you lost all of your skill in carpentry and blacksmith since you came here?" asked John. I smile at this and think of the barn. "No I have worked on a barn here I must ask if you have any males horses with you since Twilight Queen is in heat right now," I tell them. "We have one, is that why I did not see Storm Cloud you have him pined somewhere else?" John said as Father walked up. "Yes, do you wish to see the barn that I helped build with the invisible servants here," I tell them. "Well let's go see it and move our male horse to the barn," Father said. So we went to the stable and found their male horse trying to get to Twilight Queen from his stall. We take him out, take him to the barn, and find Storm Cloud in the pin and not in the barn. "You have a pin as well," John said. "Yes and the stable boys must have put him in there for I had him in the barn," I said.
As I said this, a letter appeared and I read it and found out that I was right; the stable boys had put him in the pin since I had not been out for a ride in two days. "I was right about how he got in the pin," I said as I put the note in my pocket. "So why is he in the pin?" John asks. "I cannot ride both him and Twilight Queen as much as they need every day so he is in the pin," I tell him. "What about Twilight Queen she cannot be in the pin with him," Father said. "Well I will have to take her out for a run in a bit I am sure you would like to have a picnic in the garden maybe even have a tea party as well while I ride her," I tell him. I all so have to have some time to myself before I say good night to B. tonight for I will say yes when she asks me for I can no longer wait to free her. "Let's settle him in now do you want to pin him or in the barn?" I ask. "Put him in the barn so that they do not fight," Father said. "Right then let's hurry so that we can spend more time with each other before I have to take Twilight Queen out for a run," I say.
So we did and went back to the gardens and Amy said, "You know a tea party in the garden would be nice." As she said this, a letter appeared. "Where do those letters come from?" Maria asked. "The servants can only talk via letter so they write letters and give them to you," I tell them as I read the letter. "This way they have a tea table set up for us and the tea is ready," I say a I walk to the garden that the table is said to be set up. "Really that was fast. How did they know I wanted a tea party?" Amy asked. "Well on of the servants must have been with us at the barn and ran back here to tell them that and the fact that I am normally served tea around this time in my room where I play the piano or in the main room where I sit and talk with B.," I tell her. "So you talk with B. a lot then I take it," Maria asks. "Well when there is only one person that you can see then yes you would talk to that person a lot. But she has become a good friend and I can tell you that you, Amy, Alanna, and Ginny will get along with her once you get to know her," I tell them.
We reach the tea table and settle in for tea. I find out that the apple trees are producing some of the biggest and tastiest red apples in town that people are begging for them. The roses never need to be pruned and the cow is doing great so are the chickens and I have more thanks to the roster that is. Not only that but they have been collecting seeds from the roses when they can so that I can plant more when they die if they die and if not I can sell them and make money to add on to the house. The garden is doing great and is all so producing very well that I am all most growing enough for the entire town to live off of for one winter with some left in the spring and summer. I do not know what I will do with that house now that I live here and I know that B. will not wish to leave here for it. I think I will keep it for us to go to every now and then to stay and be close to the family some of the servants can live there when we are not just to keep it in shape and when some get married well they can have time off to stay there for a month or two. Just not to sleep in the room that we will sleep in, when there that is.
"I wish I had just one more large one on that house," I said without even thinking. "Why is that Josh," Mother asked. "Well I was thinking of what to do with that house and could not help but think that if on more large room was on it then it would be a good place for parties to be held. You could start to have people pay for their weddings to be there and that large room would hold all of the extra supplies needed to host such parties," I said and I hope they buy it. "Yes, well I know that is not why you said that but if you do not wish to tell us then that's fine I will not ask you to tell us," Mother said. "Well look at the time I need to tend to Twilight Queen. I will see all of you when I get back," and I leave before my sisters start to ask why I said that.
"Hey there girl, I know I have not been here in a few days but I had a lot to do. Let's go for a long ride now," I tell Twilight Queen as she looks at me. I mount and head out I reach the fields and push her into a gallop as soon as I can I ride her until she starts to tier and then I head back at a walk. And I notice that the sun is going down which means the little ones will go to bed soon and I will see B. Then I start to think what if my sisters do not like her, what if she does not like me once she is human, what if I am wrong and she stays a beast then what will I do? I will marry her for I have fallen in love with her but what if she does not love me as well. I have to stop thinking like this or I will chicken out and say no again and I cannot and will not do that no more saying no to her I have to free her and I will. I reach the palace and tend to Twilight Queen then go in and find my family in the dining room. "So you made it back to the palace before dark but only just," Maria said. "You will tell us what you meant when you said that about one more large room on your house," Amy said. "Leave him alone sisters I have figured it out and if you have not then you do not need to know," said Ginny and Alanna.
"Thanks Ginny and Alanna for telling them that. I do not wish to talk about it right now any way. Let's eat for I think the little ones are getting sleepy and we do not want them to fall asleep at the table now do we?" I said. "No we do not so let's eat this great looking food," Father said. As we ate, I suggested some of my favorites to them and they loved them and asked how can they get the recipes for the dishes that they tried. Well letters appeared next to the dishes and they had then they went wild getting all sorts of recipes to try back home. After we ate the little ones where all most asleep so I helped them find their rooms and while we waited for them to fall asleep we went to my room where my sisters were to meet us when the little ones where asleep. When they arrived, I lead them to B. so that they could meet her at last.
