Chapter 34
I went to my room and found that I could not fall asleep since B. was not here with me. That was when my door opened and B. came in and asked, "Josh do you mind if I curl up with you?" I just could not help but tell her she could. I found then that I could sleep. I woke up to people talking.
"Ben at what time did she come in here?" Alice asked. "It was three in the morning Lady Alice," he answered. "Was he asleep?" Alice asked. "No, he could not get to sleep and would not accept anything we offered for him to get to sleep," answered a woman must be Bens wife Angelica or Angel as she likes to be called. "So he could not sleep without her as she could not sleep without him. They are meant for each other," Alice squealed. "Yes Lady Alice they are and if you squeal like that again they might wake up," Angel said. "Well they need to get up right now anyway," Alice said as I felt the cover being pulled off. Thank god, I wear a nightshirt or I would have nothing on right now and she would see more that she would want to see. That is when I hear the voice I love to hear. "Alice! I am trying to sleep! Go and wake up someone else," B. is not a morning person I see. "Dear sister you and Josh need to get up right now so that the two of you can get ready for the wedding then I will never have to wake you up ever again as that will be up to the two of you when you get up," Alice said.
"Well I am not much of a morning person so I think we will be in bed longer than we would are today that is," I say. I can still feel B. against me with her hand on my chest. "Morning Josh, sleep well?" asked Alice. "Yes, I did sleep well once I got to sleep that is," I tell her. "You two did not do anything you were not suppose to do yet now did you," she asks B. and me who blushes at that. "Alice we did not do what you are suggesting," B. said. "Now I was just checking now Josh go into the piano room and get dressed B. you will get dressed in here then we will go to your room for a fitting in to your wedding gown," Alice said. "Ben do not let him look in here until I say it is clear and then he may come in here," Alice told Ben as he led me into the piano room. I was done and playing the piano when Alice came in and said, "Bell is in her room right now and will be in there most of the day. You will not see her until the wedding, so have a good day and I have the wedding set up in the rose garden with a piano out there for you to play her song for her after you are married." I look at her and cannot help but think that I will go mad if I cannot see B. all day. "Then can I at least leave my room?" I ask. "Yes and you can talk with the men of the family all of the towns around to great forest are coming as well now that the forest is a garden again. So there will be many people here to see the new king of these lands," Alice said.
With that, she left the room and I decided to go and find my family. I found them and found out that they are in nice clothes that they are not use to and you can tell. "Hey Josh you finally got up," John asked. "Yeah, Alice came in and pulled the cover of the bed to get me up," I tell them. "You mean to get you and B. up. We know she came to your room last night since she could not sleep," Freddy said. "What! How did you know? Well nothing happened she came in and curled up and went to sleep," I tell them. "We found out via Alice she was helping us when she mentioned that B. was asleep in your bed. I knew that you would not do anything so do not worry we all know you," Gorge said. "That is good but I think she came to my room to make sure that I did not have a servant in my bed. I think her brother Emmett might have scared her into not being about to sleep," I said.
"You are half right, I did mean to scar her but she was having a hard time sleeping already so I told her that so she would go to your room to get a good night's rest," Emmett said as he walked up to us. "Well it worked she came to me, and feel asleep fast once she was there," I tell him. "Yes, well she won't tonight neither of you will," he laughed. "Emmett is right both of you will find it hard to sleep tonight. In fact you might not sleep at all," Father said. I know why they are saying this and I cannot help but hope they are right. "I just wish Alice would have left us alone for just a few more minutes I was not ready to get up," I tell them. "Yeah I cannot blame you for not wanting to get up you had the woman you love right there next to you who was asleep curled up into your side," Billy said.
