-SubjectJanice#001-

A breeze blew through the wide fence beside the Pokecenter. Cars and trucks lined the streets under the early sun, honking and yelling as they swerved down Rustboro's street. Sitting on a bench by her lonesome, the green-haired girl crossed her arms together. Her right foot thumped the ground continually, and the purple and yellow cat that sat patiently to her side was quickly aware of her trainer's impatience.

No sign of Charles. Janice thought. She thumped her right foot faster before pulling out her PokeNav. It was switched to the news channel, but after a few button presses, she began to scroll through photos of strangers posing with their pokemon. She chuckled when she saw a little post of a blue-haired guy being coddled to death by his Ralts.

A frown instantly shook away that smile on a photo of a bride and a groom kissing each other.

Cheap wedding dress, that, Janice simmered. She checked the time. It was 9:10.

Janice growled and stood up.

"Daybreak was forty minutes ago! Ubi est hic fatuus?!" Janice hissed, her attention directed to her Liepard, who was curled up neatly on the bench.

"Roaowuu." Liepard chirped.

This is pointless. I could be training right now. Instead, I'm waiting for this… stupid, dumb idiot to show up! Janice clawed her hands in her hair. "Why am I like this? Ugh…"

Liepard yawned before skipping off the bench. She twirled around Janice, her tail-scythe dragging behind her while she brushed against Janice's leg.

"Liepard…" Janice knelt and scratched the bottom of Liepard's chin. A deep purr emanated from her throat as she lifted her tail high. Rather than be charmed, Janice quickly slapped the top of Liepard's head.

"Cauda! Your tail! You can hurt someone with that."

Liepard dropped her tail immediately and meowed sadly. With a sigh, Janice sat right back down on the bench.

He'll show up, I'm sure… Janice smiled through her anger and worries. Her right eye twitched again before she clasped it and cursed herself.

Mother would scold me. Janice thought, her fingers automatically fiddling with the ring on her pinky finger. It was made of a charcoal-gray stone, the cracks running through it looking like it should break apart at any moment, yet it remained in that condition for the last ten years in her possession. And surprisingly, it was just as sturdy as her own stubbornness.

Janice twisted the ring on her finger, and Liepard came up to sniff it.

"You like it?" Janice asked, scratching behind Liepard's ear. "They say the one who wears this ring will find everlasting love. According to Mom, of course. Do you want everlasting love, Liepard?"

The dark-type purred in response, this time much deeper and more powerful. Janice was well aware of how strong Liepard was, despite her gracefulness. Janice reached into the backpack on her side and lifted four heavy bands, all colored light blue.

Liepard lifted her paws eagerly as Janice struggled to attach a band to each of Liepard's legs.

"Alright, I guess it's time to-" Janice stopped herself. Just across the fence, she saw the familiar broad-shouldered and brown haircut strolling towards the pokemon center, a lavender pokemon by his side.

Liepard meowed impatiently, but Janice kept her wide, gray eyes on Charles, who hadn't noticed her. Her right eye twitched again.

He looked so… peaceful in thought. He was holding a hand over his heart as if thinking about something… or someone.

Her fist balled.

"That little, fucking, petty, shitty redheaded bitch." Janice muttered, each word flattening Liepard's ears lower and lower.

Moxy, even though you're finally gone… I can't help this feeling that you're still ruining my life.

Janice stood again from her seat, pure determination overcoming her.

I'll show you, Janice chuckled to herself, the action surprising her pokemon.

"Mrow?"

Charles is going to forget all about you. He's going to be obsessed with me! Even if I have to move heaven and earth!

Because in the end, I'm going to be Champion! Not you!

End of Episode 4

A/N: Hello everyone! I hope this chapter surprised you guys! Just like with Charles, I will be doing a few Janice segments (only a few, I know a lot of you don't like her, but she is pivotal to the plot, trust me).

As for Episode 5, it is... done. As in, written up. It just needs a TON of edits, and I am hoping with school almost finished I will be able to work on the fic more often and edit it. I am also hoping, within mid-April to the end of May, that Episode 5 is all posted and Episode 6 is ready to roll out too. Knowing me, it could take until June or July. I really appreciate everyone's patience with me.

Thanks to all who got this far into the fic, it really means a lot to me that people are reading the fic. I am blown away by all the reviews and kind words, and I am really thankful to everyone who followed and favorited the story! Please stay tuned, the fic gets even better!

Cheers, and onto the reviews!

-Allen Vth: It seems like you are enjoying Moxy's character! I love the enthusiasm in your review. Moxy is an unfortunate soul, and hopefully, the path she is on will make her life better... or it could be worse. And yes, Walter is excessive because he can be. PS: JANICE IS BACK AND SHE ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE HAHAHA

BBAisTaken: Your words bring me a lot of kindness. I am happy with my few followers and favorites. I've fallen in love with writing this fic, and I am honored you found it to your liking, as I've put a lot of work into it. Thank you.

Y-ko: Hahahaha your comment made me laugh on my way to work! Thanks for the review!
