I highly recommend for anyone who are Peter/Mary Jane fans like me, as she knows how to write Spider-Man as in comics, with that out of a way, no, I am not going to make the Spectacular plotline as a main, as there is an ulterior motive for the 'Big Man' which we all know who he is, I am just spicing up the MCU Spider-Man universe, also The Black Cat and Daredevil will appear in this chapter, but at the very end, so without further a do, here is chapter 3 of Spectacular Spider-Man.
Chapter 3
A week later
The news of Osborn mansion raid had spread like wildfire, it is all over the social media platform, with obvious of #osbornmansionraid and #bullseye and the interesting #who'sthatblackdressedchick.
It didn't stop then, it is also featured in the main news broadcast, so the reputation must be very nasty for Mr. Osborn and Mr. Fisk
On the one hand, Peter should be having a twinge of satisfaction that Mr. Osborn is getting what he deserved, maybe it is his irrational mind, because what happened earlier from his counterpart interaction
On the other hand, he feels bad for the Osborn heir, He hasn't heard from Harry for a week, he saw some messages from Mary Jane and Carlie, and they responded that Harry is ok, just mulling over what happened on the Christmas gala.
Not for Daily Bugle though, the news of Oscorp purchasing Stark Tower had overshadowed the major scandal, his TV was interrupted by Jameson from the Bugle Talk
"It is true folks, Stark Tower is now handing over to Oscorp, and they are funding weapons to SHIELD, whatever they are, since we haven't heard from them ever since the Sokovia Accords, but my question of the day is, what is Spider-Man doing in the gala? and why is he associating with Bullseye? stay tuned in Bugle Talk by your host, . Jameson" Jameson said
Peter rolls his eyes, it is getting night anyway, he will investigate the ruins later, just a light robbery with low-lives would soothe his anger on Jameson's lies.
"We got a report in Midtown, the robbers with the name Flint Marko and the brute Alexei, are on a prowl again" The police radio spoke
Peter smirks, 'These cronies again, I start to feel a pattern' Peter thought
He swung on top of the bank, and waited for the right moment, until he heard their signature rumble
"Another robbery Marko?" Peter quips
"Spider-Man!" Flint shouts
"Oh I am touched, maybe this is getting repetitive, but I do miss kicking your ass" Peter smirks
"Jokes on you Spider-Man, guess what, you are not the only one with superpowers" Flint smirks back
Peter's smirk falters, as he is witnessing the brute morphed into a sand, which sparks a very familiar proposition, but the quip escaped his mouth
"Not original" Peter quips
"What?!" Flint yells
"I mean, I have met Sandman before, and he was very nice, not like you, ya stinky head" Peter quips
Oh this made the brute very angry, by shooting sharp sand knives, and Peter dodges, but not without a huge gash on the same spot which he got from the incident
"Oomph, not in this area again" Peter said in a mock hurt tone
Peter manages to swing across Flint, creating a long web parachute, but the brute was quick enough to evade, and create a bigger sand particles on his suit
"Yuck, to think you are being like that? makes me wonder how you shower" Peter quips
"You would be surprised of how strong I am Spider-Man, but I am not here to dance, I am here with a request of the Big Man, he requested me in order to fetch you here, I have to inhibit my powers so I can lure you there, so killing you right now should bring the Big Man very happy" Flint smirks
"I think we should leave Flint" The harsh sound of Alexei urges Flint, but Flint did not care
'interesting' Peter thought
"Hold still Spider-Man, this might sting" Flint said, as his hand morphs into a sharp hammer
"I would like to keep my handsome face check, so rain check honey" Peter quips
It was a losing battle, as Sandman was clearly having an upper hand, something Peter should've paid attention when the counterpart Sandman was around, but then again, he was hellbent on setting these people back to their universe.
As Gods had answered his prayer, a police siren were very close, and Sandman turned to glare over Spider-Man, before leaving, he spat
"You are off the hook Spider-Man, but next time, I will enjoy squashing you like a bug you truly are" Sandman said in a venemous tone.
"Arachnid" Peter blurts as the Sandman left in a quick sand, no pun intended
The police arrives, and along Captain Stacy ran to arrest the two crooks, well one super-villain, but the captain is clearly disappointed
"You were a minute late captain" Peter said, helping to dust his sand
"What was that about?" Captain Stacy asked, eyeing the situation
"Oh that? just your typical New York night, only more super-villainy" Peter answered weakly
"Charming, but did you stop them?" Captain asked
"Well that's a thing, it was a ruse" Peter answered
"A ruse?" Captain Stacy asked again
"Apparently there is this 'The Big Man' and he seems to be invested from me all of a sudden" Peter answered, wincing on so many sand on his suit
The captain did not seem to faze on that, and Peter glances on an another cop, only younger
"Sir, we lost Marko" The female officer said
"I think we already noticed Officer Watanabe" He heard the captain saying sarcastically
"Oh, Officer Yuri Watanabe, I think you know Spider-Man" the captain said, greeting the short haired officer
"A pleasure" Watanabe said in a distate
"Jeez, and I thought Marko is sleazy in his words" Peter quips, earning the brunette-haired officer an eye-roll
"But I do know one thing, this isn't your average sand compound" Peter drifts the conversation
"Aha, what do you mean?" Officer Watanabe asks, peaking in curiousity
"You see, the sand shouldn't be reacting with water like that" Peter said, pointing on the cataclysm of water and sand on the street
"Interesting" The officer said in her breath
Peter watches the officer picking some samples, and puts it in the flask
"We will conduct tests" Officer Watanabe said
"Good, this will peak my two interests, the Big Man, and the ruins of the Osborn Mansion" Peter said
"I checked the mansion Spider-Man, there are no traps, only this" Captain Stacy said, showing a faint purple rose
Spider-Man examines the rose with intent, before handing it over again to Captain Stacy
"We thought he was going as a lone wolf, well I am not surprised, given he has a history with Mr. Fisk" Captain Stacy said
"Interesting, who do you think who employed him?" Spider-Man asks
"That's the million dollar question Spider-Man, we don't know, but as far as we are concerned, someone is out for Mr. Fisk's head, and whoever he or she was, they will not rest" Captain Stacy said
"Go take a rest, we will take it here, the night shift" Captain Stacy ushers Spider-Man to leave
"That's the thing captain, I never rest" Spider-Man said
"ok, but no more crazy things, the last thing we need is casualties, and oh, Merry Christmas" Captain Stacy smiles
Spider-Man nods, and shot a web, to head back to his apartment
A week later.
It is the first day of the university, and Peter was in a hurry.
The alarm didn't ring, and it struck 11 AM. he is certainly sure that he is going to be late.
Not noticing his surroundings, he bumped into a girl
"Ay caramaba" He heard her utter
Flushing in embarrassment, he kneels down to fetch the papers that were scattered all over the floor.
"I am so sorry, I was just in a rush" Peter starts lamely
She smiles, giving that sarcastic smile
"Next time, you watch where you are going" She said
Peter flushes, hearing her giggle.
"Peter" Peter said stretching his hand
"Michele. Michele Gonzalez" Michele said.
"I am heading to Advanced Physics class" Peter signals to the left
"No way, I was heading there too" She smirks
"W..Want me to accompany?" Peter flushes
"Sure" She smiles
He helped her to stand up, and then they went to their class together
Peter knocks the door politely, and heard a grouchy voice professor saying 'come in'
Peter opens the door, and there he sees a lot of students, but what he didn't expect is few familiar faces
"Parker?!" The loud voice of Flash yells, but flushes because of people staring at his former bully increduosly
"Ah, that must be Mister Peter Parker. A pleasure. My name is Professor Connors" Professor Connors said, stretching his only left hand.
Peter grew alarm with the name, what's with coincidence lately, The first with Norman, then Sandman, and now the freakin Lizard?!
Peter politely accepts the handshake, and the professor signals the students to sit down, as the lecture is starting to begin.
Peter awkwardly squeezes over the bundle of students, and there he glances over Harry, Carlie, and a blonde girl whom he didn't meet before.
"Ah Peter Parker, Flash once told me that you were always late, I thought it was a hoax, turns out it was true" Harry smirks.
"Yeah, well tell that to the alarm clock of both, my phone, and the actual clock" Peter remarks, earning Harry's laugh.
"Wise ass, ah, who's this lovely woman you got there" Harry did his signature move.
"Michele Gonzalez" She didn't seem to faze on his attitude
"Feisty, I am sure you know my name..." Before Harry goes further
"I know who you are wisecrack, you are Harry Osborn, son of Doctor Norman Osborn, the richest kid alive" Michele seems even more unfazed, earning the girls, Carlie, and the blonde one giggle.
Harry on the other hand, was opening and closing his mouth like a fish.
Peter joins the laughter, and manages to help his friend.
"Maybe if you speak with a respect, I wouldn't be acting like that" Harry countered
"You dare mock me rich boy? who was it that your father rejected my father's proposal!" Michele yells, making the students, and the professor stare at him
Peter watches the dark-haired latina, stood up, and sat on the other side
He turns to glance over Harry for a second, noticing a faint blush, wait, is Harry getting affected? what about his relationship with the redheaded bimbo, Mary Jane? Peter thought
The professor made an obvious cough, as the students began to scribble.
The class ended in 2-hour, and Peter felt his brain is going to melt, so he needed a fresh juice, to soothe his crumbled mind.
Professor Connors is very smart, and he completely changed Peter's view on Quantum physics, especially Einstein's relativity theory. It is a shame that Peter wouldn't make a remark that time-travel do exist, without risking his identity, so he let's it sink.
Most probably because of the blip, no one seems to remember that there were time-travel.
He went to the cafeteria, and picked up an orange juice, where he sat, and got lightly nudged from Carlie.
"Hmm?" Peter asks, while sipping the juice
"Harry seems perturbed" Carlie frowns.
Peter turns to glance over the rich boy, and Carlie is right, he seems way off the planet, the poor kid cannot catch a break, first there's a breach, then losing his reputation, Peter wouldn't imagine what would happen if he was in his friend's shoes.
"I'd love to help Harry, Carlie, but you seem to be very close with him than I am, also what happened to him and Mary Jane?" Peter was very curious about his other friend.
"Oh you didn't know?" Carlie eyes onto him
"Didn't know what?" Peter felt his eyebrows risen
"She and Harry had split, She texted to me that she needs a break, that took a heavy toll onto Harry, considering he mustered his courage to ask her out 3 years ago" Carlie answers
"That could explain his sarcastic mood" Peter reasons
"Oh that, well Harry has always been sarcastic, it is just a bit annoying today" Carlie said
Not noticing the blonde girl, who sat beside Carlie, Peter turns to see her glancing over Harry in such concern.
"Oh we haven't met, name's Peter" Peter lets a handshake.
She turns to stare over him, mind-reading him, where his spider-sense blared a bit, giving him a headache.
She made a humph, and begins to sit over the table, beside Carlie.
"Ok that's a bit rude" Peter finds himself whispering.
"What's that?" The blonde girl's head snapped up
"I think you heard what I said" Peter counters
"Whatever" She rolls her eyes, continuing to eat her food
"Don't mind her, Gwen has always been this moody also" Carlie smirks
"You do sure have very dysfunctional friends" Peter quips, not noticing the blonde girl's head snapped open in a second
"Oh tell me about it" Carlie laughs.
They stood up, and each went to their seperate classes.
Chelsea Apartment
The day in the university ends, and Peter sprinted towards his apartment
He heard the radio blaring on his phone on that girl, wearing a tight black suit.
Smirking, he decides to confront that mysterious vigilante, who managed to saved his ass.
He donned the suit, and went for a huge leap
Somewhere near Midtown
Peter jumped on top of the building, examining the vigilante, uttering 'Jackpot' while he sees her, going outside.
He shot a web, and lifted her up, enjoying seeing her swearing
"I normally don't web any women, but you lady do intrigue me" Peter quips
"Spider-Man?" She said, struggling over his web
"As I live and serve" Peter bowed
"You got misunderstood Spider-Man, I was unngh, trying to get these" She said, showing the IVs that were clutching on her hand
"Not only a thief, stealing the IVs also, you wound me" Peter made a mock hurt
"You do forgot one thing" She said, with a smirk
"And what's that" Peter asks, peaking his interest on this feisty woman.
"You left your web onto my left hand" the girl said
Peter was about to retaliate, but her right hand, had a sharp knife, and sliced through the web as if it was made up of paper
She made a mock wave, and ran toward the concrete jungle.
Peter couldn't let being humiliated, let alone a very attractive woman, going under his radar, he sets to follow her
He eventually manages to grab her, but with enough friction, they both bumped into a costume-clad man
Peter rubs his mask, and glares over the girl
The cough brought his attention
"What's this, Spider-Man already did the deed for me" The masked man smirks
Peter was sure if he had the technology, his lense would widen, there he is, the devil of hells kitchen, wearing all yellow?
"Daredevil" The girl spat
"Hand over the IVs thief" Daredevil said, stretching his hand
"I wish I can hand it over to you gentlemen, but I have a duty to fulfill" The girl said, trying to get away, but Peter beat her to it.
"What does this IV mean to you anyway?" It was more of a curiousity that kills the cat.
"Nothing" She answerered abruptly
Before Peter asks any further, an explosion almost made the building crumble.
Peter and Daredevil went to inspect further, and there were hefty thugs, blowing a shop
"Want to team up?" Peter asks lamely
"I thought you wouldn't ask" Daredevil grins.
With that, they both jumped on time, and Peter manages to web-sling two thugs, handling on his own, meanwhile Daredevil managed to easily knock out few thugs
There were no more thugs left, until one, who was crawling.
Before Peter manages to web the thug's hand, Daredevil beats him to it, by throwing the cane.
"I was going to do that" Peter mock glares.
"I know Spider-Man" Daredevil chuckles
Peter rolls his eyes. He and Daredevil went to drag the blonde-haired thug
"Who sent you?" Daredevil asks.
The thug did not respond, Daredevil manages to give a small punch on the thug's chest, and the thug gave a loud wheeze
"Next time, I will not be nice, now spill. Who sent you" Daredevil asks.
"You think I will answer the likes of you, hahahahahaha" The thug laughs
"Oh the love of god, just answer the masked man's question mister" Peter clearly got annoyed by the charade.
The thug turns to glance over Peter, and gave a grin
"Oh I have heard of you, The Spectacular Spider-Man" The thug said
"Should I be impressed our cringed out" Peter quips
"You are not so tough, the boss took an insight on you" The thug said, in between his coughs.
"And who is your boss dare I say?" Peter asks.
"I will not tell, not even million ye...YEAHHHH!" The thug yells, as Daredevil gave a light punch on the thug's chest.
"That's strike two, one more time, you will be out" Daredevil said a bit loudly
"All right, all right, sheesh. His name is The Big Man of Crime, and he has a lot what you ask for" The Thug said
"And what's that?" Peter manages to sway the thug a bit lightly.
"You'll have to wait and find out, hahahahahaha. Now release me" The thug said
Peter heard Daredevil curse a bit, and then manages to swaddle the thug a little.
"IS IT FISK?! TELL ME IT IS HIM" He admit that Daredevil's scare tactic made him flinch a bit
"Oh that babboon, He has a lot to worry, and a lot to answer on the Big Man of Crime, hahahahaha" The man laughs yet again
"Let's go Daredevil, he is clearly lost it" Peter manages to subdue Daredevil and it worked, where he witnesses an instant regret on Daredevil for a second, but quickly masked it with a nod.
They managed to climb on top the rooftop, and it was Daredevil who spoke
"We will need to split, I will give you a call, first, you need to keep an eye on The Black Cat" Daredevil said, clearly changing the subject
"Ok" Peter said
"It was nice meeting you Spider-Man, until next time." Daredevil said.
With that, Peter made a quick wave, glancing over the Devil of Hells Kitchen, disappearing on the moon light.
Chelsea Apartment
Peter landed on a thud, and wincing, one of the thug gave a huge gash on his chest, He checks his schedule for anything important, oh advanced biology with Professor Miles Warren, and Advanced Physics with Professor Connors, giddy.
He checks his phone, to see any text from Ned or MJ, no response whatsoever
He did got few messages on Instagram, onefrom Mary Jane, and one from Harry. He went to read on Mary Jane first.
Hey, I am sorry for disappearing, I just needed some time alone, How are you?
Peter instantly replies
Hey! I am fine, well Harry isn't, oh did you know that he was duped by a new student, her name is Michele Gonzalez
Peter hit send, and then went to read Harry's message
Hey, It took me several tryout to write this, I apologize for my behaviour, it was a rough week, and my father is still ravaging on the insurance that bestows on us, and after my split up, Oh yeah Carlie told you, I heard her mentioning it, don't worry about me Pete, why don't you stop by, I told my father about you, and he seems to take an interest on you.
Before Peter sends a message, a message from Mary Jane had sent for him to check
Oh, I really must have made it that bad, sorry tiger, I really screwed up
He had never seen the bimbo this broken up, despite he had met her several weeks ago, he resisted the urge to go and text that he wants to meet her, he barely knows her, so he left it seen.
He went to respond to Harry.
Hey Harry, no hard feelings, I am sorry for what happened to you, yeah sure, I can stop a visit, see you later
He hit send, and then kept his phone upside down.
He felt tired, so he collapses on the bed, thinking about this mysterious Black Cat much further, and then in a second, he went to a deep sleep.
