42-40 BBY (Ten Years before the Phantom Menace)

Prologue:

House Darius had formed a shaky alliance with the New Mandalorian government. The New Mandalorians believed that creating a pacifist government would be the best course of action for the future of Mandalore. They wanted to put an end to the constant wars taking place in Mandalore. House Darius was one of the few Houses that had decided to take up arms against the extremist coverts. Houe Darius had come to a mutual understanding with the New Mandalorians that the other coverts were little more than warmongers and needed to be stopped. However, The New Mandalorians desired to remove themselves from the warrior past of ancient Mandalore. In contrast, House Darius still practiced their old ways without constantly starting wars. Seeing as they also wanted peace, House Darius agreed that if they were to win the war, they would combine their values and create a new form of government that valued both sides' morals. The New Mandalorian and House Darius fought against the terroristic Death Watch and the rest of the bloodthirsty Mandalorian coverts to establish peace one day. The Civil War ensued, and House Darius and the New Mandalorians needed aid to win this war and set up a new government. The Republic was then called upon for help. Seeing as House Darius and the New Mandalorians had vowed to support peace and cease their wars inside and outside of Mandalore, the Jedi council, after much debate, decided to send aid to their struggle for peace. That Aid was Kila Luthem and a detachment of a thousand Republic troops consisting of various recruits from across the galaxy. Upon the party's arrival, the Republic frigate had been shot down. Only around half of Kila's men had survived the initial battle following the crash of her ship, the Striker. Throughout their struggle against the extremist Mandalorian coverts, Kila had grown very close to the members of House Darius and held much respect for their warrior culture, despite its contradictions to the teachings of the Jedi. Even so, several members of House Darius still disliked the idea of fighting side by side with a Jedi. Kila had come to know Lohan well throughout the war and had even slowly developed feelings for the young commando, much to her chagrin. Kila constantly worked to contain her emotions, fearing that she would develop an attachment to this warrior. Despite her efforts to avoid this, an attachment did expand between them.
