Three Years Later (34 BBY)

Alderaan has always been known as a haven of peace, offering numerous cities as a refuge to those in need. Before the days of the Clone Wars, Jedi Knight Kit Fisto had been assigned on a covert mission on Mandalore to try and discover some traitors among the royal court of Alderaan. Upon being discovered, the royal assistant of the Organa family went on the run and assaulted several guards and staff in a desperate attempt to escape the royal family and get her information back to a local crime lord. Before the traitor could return to her ship, Jedi Knight Fisto stopped her. But not before she had killed a couple that had refused to give up their speeder. After turning in the traitor to the local Alderaan authorities, Kit Fisto decided to find out where the couple that had been killed lived. After asking around, Kit Fisto found out that the location of the couple's residence was a small house at the edge of the city. Upon arriving, He found the house empty, all except for a small toddler crying at the foot of a staircase.

"Hello, little one," Kit said softly as he walked closer to the small, crying form.

Ronin ceased his crying and looked back at The Young Jedi Knight.

"Where is my mommy? and my daddy?" Little Ronin said with more tears falling from his eyes.

"They are not here right now," Kit replied.

"Where, where are dey? Ronin asked with sobs breaking up each word.

"I believe they are shopping at the moment." Kit lied.

"Okay, what bout unc Uncle Jax? Ronin asked.

"I don't know, little one, but how about you tell me your name?" Kit said genuinely this time.

"My name is Ronin, but my daddy calls me Rony," Ronin said in a rather high-pitched voice.

"And did your parents leave you here all alone, Ronin?"

"No. Mommy and Daddy left me with Na-na, but I turned her off." Ronin said proudly.

"Who is Na-na?" Kit asked.

"I can turn her back on if I want to," Ronin said.

Ronin reached his hand out to a slumped-over protocol droid on a nearby table. Little Ronin closed his eyes and concentrated. A resounding click sounded off, and the protocol droid lit up with renewed life.

"Master Ronin! How did you get out of your playpen again? You know better than to do that. Mistress Darius would not be happy with this!" The droid said while he shook his pointer finger at Ronin while Ronin giggled.

Kit gasped a little as he realized what had just happened. This youngling was force sensitive! How had he not sensed this before? Kit shook the thought off and sat down next to Ronin.

"Well, that's quite a trick there, Little Rony. Could you do it again?"

Ronin giggled and put his hand up in the air once more.

"Don't you dar-" Na-na began to say but slumped back against the wall as she powered down.

Kit and Ronin shared a laugh.

"Well, little Rony, you are connected to the force. How would you like to come with me and become a Jedi." Kit asked.

"Wow! A Jedi! Does that mean I get a Lightsaber?" Ronin said as he jumped up and down excitedly.

"Yes, In good time," Kit said with a chuckle.

"But what bout Mom and Dad?" Ronin said, hesitating a little.

"I'm sure they would approve, but why don't we see what your Uncle Jax thinks?"

"Hokay!" Ronin said excitedly.

Kit walked with Ronin hand in hand, albeit a little hunched over due to Ronin's lack of height. When they exited the door, Kit saw a fully armed Mandalorian standing outside waiting for them. Kit stopped in his tracks.

"Ronin! get behind me!" Kit said.

But little Ronin did the exact opposite.

"Uncle Jax!" Ronin said as he ran towards the Mandalorian excitedly.

Jax took off his helmet and knelt to pick Ronin up.

"Hey, buddy! How're you doing!?" Jax said excitedly as he threw Ronin up into the air, with Ronin giggling in delight.

"So you're Uncle Jax," Kit said with a smirk.

"That I am," Jax said as he held Ronin.

"May I ask who you are, master Jedi?

"I am Jedi Knight Kit Fisto, of the Jedi order."

"I see. And I presume you're here for Ronin, then?" Jax said with a tilt of his head.

"Yes. With your permission, of course." Kit replied.

"that permission you shall have. It's what Ronin's parents wanted for him." Jax said as he put down Ronin.

"Hey, buddy, why don't you go inside and get your besky?"

"Hokay!" Ronin said as he ran into the house.

"I'm sorry about his parents. A traitor of the Organas killed them in her attempt to escape."

"So I heard. Luca and Ajin were good people." Jax said, looking down.

"I have no doubt they were," Kit said with a slight smile.

"Uncle Jax! I got my Besky!" Ronin said as he ran out of the house with a small plate of Beskar."

"As his sole Guardian, I only request that he take some beskar. It is a part of our culture."

"I see. Normally Jedi are not allowed such things, but I believe an exception can be made." Kit said, smiling.

"Thank you, master Jedi," Jax said with a bow.

Ten Years Later (24 BBY)

Ronin was very connected to the force when he was taken to the Jedi temple at three years of age in 35 BBY. Throughout his training, Ronin continued to improve his connection and became a solid and resilient youngling worthy of becoming a padawan. By the time Ronin turned thirteen, Ronin was ready to take his trials and become a Jedi padawan.
