Hello guys, bringing you the latest chapter of this fic.
Sorry it took so long. Had to work on other fics or stuff.
Anyways, let's not waste time and begin!
Somewhere off in a massive, grey grass field located far from any cities or town, or any civilization for that matter, stood a small village.
A village protected by the surrounding wall that is made out of a wood like substance, but at the same time having a hard iron feel to it.
There were dozens of huts and tents, with the huts resembling black, sharp teeths. Each have their own tent, each have their own source of light such as a torch, and each had some kind of symbol painted next to their door.
A symbol resembling a black fox.
The residents themselves consist of farmers taking care of the crops with their tools. Mothers of this land taking care of the child and clothing. And the guards remain station on top of the wall, guarding around and wielding laser rifles.
The particular attention to detail is their clothing and attires. All of them seem to be wearing black robes, all of them wore hoods, and all seem to carry or wear a mask.
As the guard's observe the outside surrounding, one of the guard spotted something in the distance.
He pointed, gaining the attention toward the other guards nearby, "Look! There someone heading over here".
"Is it those enforcers again?" The other guards asked.
"No, no, it's...it's a child", The guard took one, closer glance, "With...the Chief son!"
The rest of the guards soon notice it as well, as they see Reg, holding hands with the boy as they head toward the village.
"Open the gates!" One guard shouted, as the gates door open, pulled by six men, rearing it back by the ropes.
Reg and the boy enter; And as they enter, they are greeted by the stare of many. Some were in shock and baffle, relief by the familiar face of the boy as he is guided by Reg.
But others were skeptical, wondering who this Reg is and how he manage to bring this boy back to his clan.
Some were murmuring to each other. Some stood outside, some pause from their duties, and others were hiding behind their tents and huts.
Reg didn't seem to mind this much, although he is curious by the village itself as this was his first time entering into a clan he never heard of.
"Is any of these folks your family or-?" Reg asked the boy, with the boy pointed a tower ahead of them.
The tower itself is a long, cylinder shape structure, with pipes poking out to reveal smoke.
A teenage girl came out from the tower, after hearing the many murmuring coming outside and saw them.
She wore the same black robe and hood as everyone else, however she isn't wearing a mask, revealing that she has blue paint all over her.
Her reaction to seeing the child was in shock, as she called out the child name, "T'dakk!"
The child name T'dakk, recognize the girl before, as she sprinted over there and grab him from the ground, hugging him with a emotion of grieving relief.
"T'dakk! T'dakk!" She cried, as she hug him.
This left Reg confuse, as he asked her, "Ummm...are you...his sister?"
"What's going on here?" A voice is spoken from where a tall figure stepped out of the tower.
He wore a long, black robe. Holding a wooden staff. He also has a long, black beard with his face being cover by the same mask as everyone else, including the boy, is wearing.
The man came out confuse by the commotion, until he realized what's been going on, glancing over the girl hugging the boy, as well as Reg.
Much to his surprise, he too recognize the child as well, as he begin to approach the girl with the child, "Sharra, what's going on here? Is that-?"
"Yes father, it's my little brother", She replied, "He's back!"
"My son?" The father became relief, seeing his son looking alright as he hold him by the torso, laughing to himself, "My son! My son has return!"
The son himself glance toward Reg, as despite the celebration that is going on some of the folks that are realizing the good news happening right in front of them, they are still left without a clear answer as for the child coming back.
His glance caught the father and daughter attention, as well as everyone else.
Reg stood there, awaiting for a response.
He is given it by the father himself, after putting the boy down, he asked, "Oh, and who might you be?"
"I'm Reg", Reg introduce himself, "I'm a simple traveler from across the universe. I help your son getting away from his captives".
"Are you?" The father asked, with Reg nodded, "Well, thank you for bringing my son back. I appreciate your action, Reg. I had fear that my child would've fully been gone, if it wasn't for you".
"You're welcome", Reg replied then asked, as he figure he could take this opportunity to settle here for a little while. After all, he doesn't have much places to go to rest or settle. Not to mention, his stuff has been stolen so it would be a little logical in his own mind to find a place for him to figure out what to do next. After all, with everything that happen he needed a place to stay for a little while, "Umm...forgive me, but I would like if you allow me to take a rest in your village for one night?"
"Yes, yes, I will allow it, as an offer of my kind thanks", The father said, "Feel free to stay as much as you desire".
"Thank you. I won't stay too long. Just need a place to sleep, that's all".
"Everyone! Resume back to your work and duty!" The father announce, "There is much celebration to do, later! As for now, continue with your work!".
As everyone resume back to their normal activity and as the child is led back inside the tower by the father, the daughter is left to help with Reg accumulation.
"Come", The daughter gesture, "I'll work up a tent for your stay".
As Reg follow, he asked her, "So is your father the-?"
"Chief, yes", She replied, "By the way, my name is Sharra. I'm the Chief daughter if you didn't catch that".
"Oh, I...sort of already pick that up".
"So where are you from?"
"From?" Reg pause for a moment, as the mention of that word bring back many memories before he stood where he is now. The memories of Cybertron, the memories of Sari, the memories of his older creation. All of it are too personal for him to reveal, as he simply said, "I'm...from a large city planet".
"Really? I never been to a city planet before. What's it like?"
"It's..well, it a little hard to describe, since it been a while since I remember the place".
"That's okay", She chuckle, "I was just curious, since we never got much outside visitors around here, especially a kid".
"Not much visitors, huh? Then may I asked, who are you guys?"
"We called the Children's of Torrica".
"Children's of Torrica? What's a Torrica?"
"He's a god we worship regularly. It said he help us with our every need, and can communicate to us by nature itself".
"I see".
Soon they made it to the spot of a empty tent, where Sharra begin with her task of setting up blankets and fresh supplies of food, telling Reg, "Well we here. Please stay here for a moment. I'm going to find some blankets and food for you. Be right back".
"Okay", Reg replied, as the girl ran off. Reg enter the tent, as he looked around and realized there really isn't much inside. Just pure emptiness.
"Not exactly the first time I stay within a village. But she seem nice", Reg thought, as he lay down and sigh with relief, "I am kinda curious about...their god, though".
A celebration began as the sky become darker by the minutes.
Flares of light sparks emitted from the village, as a large bond fire has been form in the center near the tower. People were dancing, sitting and eating, and conversing to each other, all the while three men sat and play the flute.
Reg was there as well. Out of curiosity and out of the fact for being a guest, Reg was a bit fascinated by the sight. Everyone was having fun. There isn't a single individual that is excluded from this, besides the guards.
He sat way behind the tower, next to the Chief himself with his son and daughter.
The son passed him a bowl of round, red and blue fruits to him, which Reg took his offering, even if he's not feeling hungry.
"I hope you are enjoying yourself, friend", The Chief said to Reg, "We haven't had this kind of celebration for quite a while. With all the constant working around here, you know".
"It fine. I'm really happy to see everything is going well".
"Of course. We owe our lives to anyone who helped us".
Reg then asked, "If you don't mind, I want to know why those mens were after your son in the first place?'
"Good question", The Chief explained, "There had been several intruders to our land that desire to obtained our artifact".
"Artifact?"
"Yes, we do not know what it is, but we do know that it is valuable to us and to our culture. We fear that one day anyone will take it for their own. So when we encounter some intruders, they demanded to hand over our land to theirs. We refuse, resulting in them kidnapping my son as ransom".
"That's terrible".
The Chief nodded, "But thankfully, you came and saved my son. Without you, I would've lost everything that I hold dearly".
Reg smile, accepting his thanks once again.
However this discussion brought up a concern for the Chief daughter.
"But father, what about the intruders?" The daughter asked him, "Shouldn't we be a little worry that their intention had been foil? What if they return?"
"Calm my daughter. I am certain I'll figure our next coarse, if they even retaliate with something far worst. For now, we do not know".
"Really hope so", Reg said.
"Pardon me, but mind sharing a bit of yourself?" The Chief asked him, "Not too personal, but just out of morbid curiosity. After all, you claim to be a traveler, aren't you?"
Reg relunctely did so, as he explained a bit about himself, "Well, I guess so. I'm really just wandering around in search for a place for me to call home. Sometime I get these weird dreams of grass lands and the sky being made up of more landscapes".
"Ah, we all have those type of dreams. Dreams that showcase of our desire. Perhaps these dreams of yours may lead you to something greater".
"Perhaps so", Reg replied, "I'm just doing what I do best when having this amount of freedom. Traveling and helping those that needed so".
"Have you ever consider companionship?"
This question made Reg pause for a moment. The idea of companionship had always been an important thought of his. He had met many strangers, but some do not stay permitted as a companion. A friend.
This made him feel...a bit complicated about the thought of it.
Just then, a loud yelled can be heard, stopping the music, dance and feast to continue further, "Chief! Someone has arrive!"
The Chief stood up, confusion has abrupt.
A figure riding on an alien, feathering creature enter the villain. The figure seem badly injure, slopping over the creature and seemingly burned up behind the back.
He wasn't alone, as another figure follow him. This time, the man seem less bruise up, as he stood.
"What is going on? What happen?" The Chief asked, confronting the first man.
"We were...attack...they spare us so we could rely a message".
"A message? What message?"
"From the invaders", He revealed, much to the shock of everyone, "They...they are coming...they are coming take the land by...force!"
The fear of a invasion struck everyone nerves, including the Chief. Reg himself also overheard it and is deeply concern about it.
"Father, are we going to do?" The daughter asked him.
"Get everyone to shelter", The Chief said, then looking at one of the guards, "Get every guards to their post. I want every men to prepare for an upcoming attack".
"I'll help", Reg volunteer.
"No, this is not your battle", The Chief responded, "This is only our concern, and we cannot drag anyone from the outside to get in harms way".
"Look, I can handle this type of situation", Reg told him, "I've done this before".
The Chief look at him, puzzle by his statement.
Then his daughter told him, seeing how much of a dire situation they are in, "Father, let him stay and fight with us. The boy seem...capable of doing so".
After thinking for a moment, he turned to him and nodded, "Very well. If what you stated is true, then I hope so".
Reg nodded, "Don't worry. I won't let any harm go on this village".
It was morning on the planet.
The massive, desert field is freshly coast as Reg stood ahead, standing with the village behind his back.
He stare at the distance, readying for any attack.
The villagers hide, the guards remain at their station, and Chief stood on top of the wall, wondering if the boy can beat the army making it way. He wasn't certain, and seem doubtful that he even made the decision to let it so.
However, there was no time to change, as soon they can heard the sound of treading and marching, heading over in the distance.
Reg watches as the army made their sight known.
In the distance, there were one thousands marching of Blood Bird troops. They are heavily armed, wearing red uniforms, black armor, beak like mask, goggles, boots, and helmets.
The machines they bring with them consist of red ranks. They were massive, train like, and have eighteen torrents plaster on each sides. There were eight of them, with one seemingly being driven by the leading general of this army.
Several army were carrying the flag symbol of their organization.
They march and march, until they stopped.
The sand blown as they pauses. Reg stood still, staring at the army.
The general stood open from the open hatch he came from. He wore a long, black head gear with a sharp, tip on it. He wore several medals on him and a black cape. He has a grey mustache, light green skin, and a crooked teeth.
"You there!" He asked, demanding in a cocky accent, "What in bloody hell are ya doing out here? Don't you know ya stepping in a blood, blazing territory? Move outta, or else we'll have to force ya out then".
"Sorry, but I cannot let you do that", Reg responded.
Much to the shock of the general, "What?! You can't?"
Reg nodded, "That's right. Because I'm here to prevent that!"
The general pauses, then he cackle. He cackle hard. The rest of the men burst into laughter as a result of this.
"You think you can stop us?! How dare ya?!" He shouted, "Do you know who your dealing with?"
Reg didn't responded.
"You are approaching against the might of Sizzara! And his infantry! I've scorch many enemies in my life, so don't bother trying to go up against me, you young lad!"
Reg, once again, didn't respond.
"And besides, what do you got that's going to beat us? A rock? ahahahahaha!"
Reg then position himself for a fight, as the general stopped laughing.
Now resume back to his serious position, as he order the tank he's ridding in, "Men! Move forward! I'll deal with this child, if he refuse to move".
He then move his attention to him again, "Child! One last time! You moved, and I'll move for you! Your last warning".
Reg didn't respond. He simply gave a glare that indicated his refusal.
This irritate the general, as he shouted and thrusted his arm out, "FIRE!"
The cannon aim at him and fire.
Much to the shock of the villagers and the Chief.
They cannot see, as the laser blasting causes dust cloud to form. Dozens and dozens of non stop laser shooting happens, with the General cackle himself a little, until his hand to signal a stop, "Alright, you can stop now. I want to see my rewarding results".
The smoke were almost and slowly clearing. The general awaited in delight to see his results, but suddenly those delight change to sudden shock.
As the arm of Reg ejected and grabbed the tip of the tank hard. Then with one thrust, Reg launch himself straight to the tank.
Penetrating it through, much to the astonish on lookers.
Even the general did not expect his durability to be this strong, as the tank exploded.
Reg landed, with his arm retracting and locking in, as the soldier around him aim.
They waited cautiously as he stood up.
The chief reaction was speechless, including his guard at post. Some of the villagers, including the daughter and son that see it through the open slit of the gate were stunned.
The general manage to survive that, got up in bruises and black marks, then shouted, "Don't stand there you moron! Fire at him!"
Without hesitation, they all fire at him.
Reg manage to jump out of there, dodging them.
He descended down by doing a quick flip and slam his foot onto an unexpected the soldier, using him as good landing.
They all turn and fire at him again. Reg dodges every fire, as he ran up at them with his fist, punching an armed soldier then.
Another aim, but before he could fire Reg leap and punch him, knocking him out.
More and more soldier fire at him, as he kept dodging the laser fire with his speed. Using this as a good opportunity to strike the tanks, as with enough lasers he ran right next to each tank, with the soldier firing at them and blowing them up, sending chards of debris and men flying.
"No! Stop it! You fools!" The general shouted, as Reg kept going and going.
Missing every shot, hitting the tanks instead of the boy, and Reg not taking any injury because of it.
"I said stop!" The general shouted, as he pulled out his laser pistol and shot a random soldier in the head, killing him.
This cause everyone to stop and listen.
"You idiots! Are you trying to destroy our artillery?!"
Reg stopped to huff, looking at the outcome.
All of the tanks were in ruin, as well as several amount of dead soldier, laying on the ground.
The general can only twitch as he saw it. He can grind his teeth when seeing it.
Reg stood up, staring at him seriously. The smoke blown as soon as he is seen by the remaining soldiers.
"That fool!" The general spit, "Don't just stand there, men! Fire!"
All of the troops aim and fire at him.
Reg, feeling too exhausted and wanting to end this quickly, decided to just use the piece of the stone to enhance his ability.
The lasers struck him, tons and tons of lasers were blasting at him as it created another dust smoke.
Once it stopped, the general awaited, hoping this time that the boy is defeated.
However the smoke clear up, revealing a shocking sight.
Reg entire armor and robotic limbs were pure white, flaring with white flames and tiny, white particles floating away as he reveal himself.
The general and the army can only stood there in stunned.
Even the villagers and Chief were at awe by this revelation.
"You got to be kidding me!" The General shouted, "Stop standing around and shoot that bloody fool!"
The soldier did just that, continue to firing at him.
Reg charges head on. Dodging every fire. Lasers missing him. Lasers striking the ground, instead of him.
Reg charges at the first soldier he faces. He charge at one of them, then did a upper kick, knocking the soldier back on the ground.
He moved swiftly.
Disarming one of the soldier and using his fist to punch him in the millions time at his chest, then knocking him out by his fist.
He navigate randomly. Taking down and knocking down every troops with his fist and kicks.
The general can only stand there in fear and stunned as he saw it unfolding.
Seeing no hope in the battle and being cowardly, the general shouted, "Retreat!"
He ran off, with the remaining army following him. As soon as they ran off, Reg can only sigh in relief as it is over. He took the stone out of his arm and put it back to his pocket.
"Well that was easy", Reg remarked.
Soon the villagers came out, cheering and praising the young boy. The Chief came down to share the same praises with everyone else.
He is even lifted up in the air. He has no reaction, other than a blank expression.
His only thought is going along with it.
As this was going on, everyone began to chant his name, "Reg! Reg! Reg! Reg! Reg!"
Later in the same day, Reg stepped out of the gates as he was carrying his luggages.
Refilled with enough food, water, blankets, and fortunes like golden cups, pots, and lamps.
"It is truly a shame you have to leave", The Chief said, "Do you want to stay a bit longer? We are fully at your service for helping us".
"Yes, stay with us", Daughter beg, with his little brother nodded.
Everyone was begging for him to stay, as they were all relieved and impressed by his action that he did today.
Reg shook his head, politely replying "No thanks. I've got somewhere else to go. I would love to return back here for a visit".
The Chief nodded, "We understand. We will always remember your heroic deed you did for us for today. Our lives are owe to you".
Reg smiled back, as he turned around, readying to depart with his stuff.
But before he go, the Chief then asked him, "But before you go, I have to ask...where will you go, friend?"
He paused for a moment. Not taking a glance back. He knows it, but at the same time doesn't know the full extend of it.
All he can replied is, "I don't know. I'm hoping it some where that fits me".
The Chief nodded, "Very well then. Safe departure, my friend. Hope one day we meet again".
Reg nodded at them one last time and departed off, continuing his journey.
As he departed distances away from the Chief, the Chief wonder to himself, "I wonder where the child will go? Perhaps some where suited for him. Or perhaps somewhere...unknown".
"Do you think we'll see him again, father?" The daughter asked him.
"Maybe...maybe..."
The meeting held among the officials in this facility.
The room was dark red. The table is long, rectangular like. There were about eight high officials. Four of four sitting on each side.
On the left side shows General Meel. He wore a red uniform, wearing medals, and the symbol of the organization. He has brown hair and a monocle.
Sitting next to him is Admiral Boulk. He has white hair and beard, seemingly to be the oldest of the group. He too wore a uniform, although meant for an admiral position.
Next to him is Commander Ziddack. Unlike the rest, he's non-human, with a long, glass tube head showing a black liquid flowing with a white eye. He also wore a red uniform.
Sitting right next to him is Commander Deem, a much skinner commander with brown hair and wearing a uniform.
Sitting last to him is Admiral Tormenta, having light brown hair, a average, obese body, and wearing a red uniform.
On the ride shows General Drodalla, having a thin mustache, black hair, and wearing a uniform.
Sitting next to him is Admiral Foferrica, having blond hair, a square like jaw, and having a scar stiches on his head.
Next is General Youlla, the short and brown mustache of the group, wearing a cap and a uniform.
The last is Admiral Holomaurica, the man with average built, younger, and has brown hair.
The men discuss among themselves about the main position of the facility, as well as the increasingly concern of security coming from outside their realm.
"The facility is an illegal establishment that should not had been built on this very soil", Meel told everyone, "It is against the galactic law-"
"The Galactic law has no control or demand from our affair, Meel", Commander Deem said, "It is merely temporality until the General can harvest the rare mineral from the village on another planet. Then we'll leave".
"General Baron has a record of falling back his words", Tormenta said, "How would you presume that this objective will go smoothly? Our funds are decreasing at every second for committed to this science project of his".
"The General may be foolish, but he isn't dumb", Foferrica explain, "He has a ruthless sense of charisma. No one can denied that".
"Charisma has done no favor for us or his mind", Meel stated, "He had costed us million".
"Million from what? General? Clearly you lack any understanding from him".
"Hmph, at least I'm not a fool to be sway by his credits offering".
"Let's move onto a different subject", Youlla said, "About the reports Baron has given to us".
"What report?"
"The boy that foiled his kidnapping scheme".
"Oh yes, that", Tormenta remarked, sarcastically, "Quite intriguing story. Some random child foiling his plan. How fantastic".
"It's no ordinary boy. The boy seem capable of combat".
"So what? I've seen training ground consist of that".
"Should we be concern about this?" Holomaurica asked, "A child capable of defeating our own".
"By own, you mean a group of mercenaries we hired".
"Come now, we should be concern here. Be worry about it. The boy may have abilities that we do not fully understand here".
"It just a child", Suddenly, a voice is heard. They all turned to the front table to see Baron D. Grave entering the room, sitting in his chair, "A curious child, but merely a child. Sure, I'm interested in capturing the child for experiment, but he isn't much of concern now".
"The description of the boy seem interesting", Holomaurica asked, "I suppose you don't found that concerning, correct?"
"Correct. The boy could be a native for all I care".
Just then another person enter the room from the back. It was Sizzara, as he approach the general, head down and holding his cap.
"Ah Sizzara, what a pleasant surprise", Baron said in delight, "Did your forces manage to capture the village? Did you came back to give me a souvenir?"
"General Baron...I...have some unfortunate news".
The mere mention of the unfortunate news made the Baron dropped his grinned for him, "Unfortunate news?"
"All of the artillery. All of the army has been...wipe out. Only a few of us manage to escape".
The Baron raises his brow, "Really now?"
He then got up, not looking at the general directly, "And who is responsible by this massacre?"
"It was a boy, sir. A child. Wearing a horn helmet, a cape with robotic limbs. I believe it to be the same child from the report, sir".
"Interesting...and you said, fewer of you manage to escape. Elaborate, how many of you escape?"
"Uhhhh..."
"Was it lower than ten. Or was it still large enough that you refuse to use against?"
"General I-"
"You know, General. I thought you were consider the most efficient general in your sector. How humiliating you have lost".
"Baron let me explain, the boy uses some kind of rock to...enhance his ability. He was all pure white".
This mention of it caught Baron curiosity and interest, "Really now?"
"Yes, I-"
Before the general could finished, unknown to the Baron have remove his glove, revealing a spine like, metallic skeleton hand.
Without hesitation, Baron swiftly scratches the general in the face, causing him great pain.
The scratch was hard enough for him to bleed out, spitting blood out from the result of it. However, it wasn't over as Sizzara head began to grow and grow like a balloon. His eyes were popping out his socket, hist tongue sticking, and he is seen choking, grabbing his neck as he fall to the ground.
Some of the men in the room were faze by this. Not the Baron though, as he over look him, "Take some time to think of your mistake, General. Before you die, slowly".
Sizzara began to drool in the puddle of blood, as the Baron push a button on the table, calling through a microphone, "I require the Third One presence, virtually. I would like to speak with him".
After he finished, he then left the room, leaving the men's in the room to ponder about what happen in this room.
Stepping through the red hallway, Baron keep thinking of himself.
About the mysterious boy and the stone. The mention of that incident caught his fascination even more than before. As now, it would appear the objective has been change for him.
Going from mundane to something far grander.
Soon he made it to the right door, which was located further in the back. He enter as the door slides, as it were guarded by two troops.
He enter in a black, massive room.
From there in front him, a little further from the distance stood a holographic throne.
A throne sitting on it by the mysterious figure in black. His head cannot be seen, only his entire body. A body consisting of a black suit and coat.
The pale light shinning upon it, even that cannot reveal the top half of it.
The Baron bow on his knee for him, "Third One, how gracious of you for your presence".
After a moment of silence, the Third one finally speak, "What is it do you want?"
"I've come to report of a...intriguing incident".
"Incident?" The Third one asked, "What kind of incident?"
"An incident that happen recently", Baron explained, "I sen off my army to capture the village I have given the report to you. Unfortunately, it had not gone smoothly".
"Hmmm...how unfortunate", The Third one said, utterly disappointed by the news.
"However, what happen back there is stunning. A boy with robotic limbs manage to defeat my whole army by himself".
"Interesting. Why does it interest you? There are many reports of a single man, child, or animal that can beat a trillion army under one minute".
"This is different. The report stated that the child wield some sort of stone that enhance his ability".
The figure remain silent, once he mention it.
After a long moment of silence between the two, the Third one finally spoke, "A stone that enhance his ability? How fascinating".
"Yes, it would appear our objective has change", Baron then requested, "I ask for permission to change the course of my mission. Instead of targeting a village, why not target the boy?"
"You seem quite...intrigue as I am".
"What can I say. I am a man known for conducting experiments on children's. To benefit the organization", Baron explained, "I see this as...good progress. Imagine the untaped potential we can gain from this. The boy himself is mysterious, but these mystery can be claim by us. After all, we are an organization known for the governing and preservation of everything".
After the Third one thought it over, he then replied, "Very well then. I will allow it. If you can capture the boy and the stone, we may unlock something...interesting".
This pleases the General, as he stood and bow for him, "Thank you. I will ensure that the boy and the stone will be capture. Alive and in tact".
To be continue...the next chapter.
