Dark Land
In a library where the koopa army are reading together as well as being alone, a blonde human woman is reading a book that is somewhat interesting to her as she's bored.
The library is usually quiet with no disturbance with books organised, which means the library is being taken care of by a boo, a ghost.
With the princess leaving, she's borrowing a book as a boo librarian accepts.
Then she went outside, only to encounter the king of Dark Land himself.
"Bowser?"
"Hey, princess. Did you get the book?" Bowser asks as if he's being nice.
"Bowser, have you ever heard of personal space and privacy?" Princess Peach sighs.
"Sorry about that. I came here to speak with you."
"Speak with me? About what?" Peach raises an eyebrow out of curiosity.
"Well… You know when I said peace will be brought upon us." Bowser rubs his neck while trying to stay serious.
"Because we wrote a peace treaty." Peach points out.
"Yeah. Well… I was thinking if we could share the resources of your kingdom, so my people won't have to struggle."
"I mean Mushroom Kingdom does have so many, so it would be nice to give out fifty percent of our overfilled resources like food, technology, living furniture. As a princess, I must do anything to make another kingdom proud." Peach accepts the offer while noting what her Kingdom has.
"Sweet! Now I won't have to struggle with the economy. Take that whoever the previous ruler!" Bowser laughs as he celebrates. "Anyway, what's your opinion on Mario losing his memory?"
"Huh?" Peach stops, hearing what Bowser said earlier.
"Yeah… I was told that he has amnesia, but he'll remember us! I promise!" Bowser quickly stated.
"Oh. Then Mario has forgotten about us. Mario…" Peach prays for Mario as Bowser sighs.
"Moving on. What book did you borrow?"
"Alice in Wonderland." Peach concludes as she marches back to Bowser's castle building.
"Ah. Nice."
Finally, Bowser and Peach are walking together back towards the castle as Bowser had a feeling Mario might be back.
He wants to face his arch enemy again.
"I heard you guys are heading to Sarasaland in order to get to the Dark Land. Heh, lucky you have us street performers here to guide you."
"Once you get on the boat to cruise all the way to another country, you might be able to see a yellow island that shows to be a desert themed country. After arriving there, you might be able to hitch a ride with a pokey in a buggy who can help you get to the Sarasaland Empire."
"Thanks to you guys, we're rich so it couldn't hurt to travel with you guys one more time and part ways. Mario, Luigi, Alice, have a nice journey and bring back our princess!"
World 2: Sarasaland - START!
2006 September 15th
Port Mirage
A port town is similar to Mushroom Kingdom's Port Toadstool, but the difference is the townspeople and the atmosphere as a clear blue sky with a second sun that is sleeping, making the weather more hotter than usual.
In Mario's case, it feels Arabic with some Egyptian vibes as some humans have darker skins than the Mushroom Kingdom ones.
Even there's toads that are in different themed clothing that fits the desert atmosphere.
As for the Mario trio, Catherine and Mary are heading towards a different direction as they split up from the Mario trio.
"This is where we part ways. See ya, Mario, Luigi, Alice." Catherine bows and then waves as she winks.
"Bye! Have a great journey!" Mary called while waving.
With the street performers gone, Mario, Luigi and Alice sigh as they make it.
"We're here." Luigi said.
"Ah! Master Mario, master Luigi! I see you two arrived here later than promised." Appearing is an old toad that is Toadsworth.
"Toadsworth?" Mario turns towards Toadsworth as Alice gasps with surprise while quickly entering inside Mario's body again.
"Indeed. What's going on earlier" Toadsworth asks out of curiosity.
"Well…"
Mario explains the events of what happened to Mushroom Kingdom and the mafians that attacked him and his brother.
"Oh dear. That means King Bowser is sending his children and his army to get you two. No matter. At least you two made it there. Seeing Princess Daisy, are you?" Toadsworth asked.
"Yeah. We're checking to see if a pokey on a buggy is around." Luigi asks.
"A pokey? Hm. I did see one over there watching us." Toadsworth answered.
"Sweet. Let's-a go then, shall we." Mario called.
"Okey dokey." Luigi agreed.
With Mario, Luigi and Toadsworth marching together, they come across a pokey, a tall yellow cactus creature, wearing a hat that makes him look like an adventurer.
"Excuse me, sir. We're here to visit the Sarasaland Empire and its princess." Toadsworth called.
"Ey! No problem, dudes! And I see my boy Mario has returned!" A pokey in a hat cheerfully lowers himself after seeing the Mario bros appearing before him.
"Huh!?" Mario exclaims.
"Relax, Mario, that's a pokey." Luigi points out to Mario.
"Yeah, but he doesn't have arms."
'Of course he doesn't. Like goombas, pokeys can hold things with their own methods.' Alice whispers while hiding inside Mario.
"Well, dudes, I'm so happy that we get to travel together! Oh! Forgot to mention, I'm Jake! Hope we get along together, even for a short while, my dudes!" Jake introduces himself as he stands like a tower.
"Well then, master Jake, take us there." Toadsworth orders.
"No problemo, Toadsworth my dude!" Jake hops onto his buggy as he let's Mario, Luigi and Toadsworth
With the buggy moving forward, Jake turns the wheel with a part of his cactus body while watching the road as he's heading towards an Arabic styled city.
"Woah…" Mario gasps after seeing a very different atmosphere compared to Mushroom Kingdom.
'It's beautiful…' Alice gasps with awe, seeing what Mario sees.
"Welcome to the Sarasaland Empire, bro! Now we can visit my lady, Princess Daisy Flora." Luigi grins as he introduced Mario and Alice to a country that's new to them.
Sarasaland Empire
A warm city with many humans, pokeys, toads, goombas, koopas and boos are delivering and playing together as well as playing tennis in a tennis court.
As the buggy stops at the traffic lights, the group hears a beating sound as Luigi stops and then turns around with surprise.
"Um, Mario. I think I know what's going on there."
"A fight? Luigi, let's not get involved there." Mario warned while placing his hand onto Luigi's shoulder.
"Sorry." Luigi apologises and then leaps off the buggy.
"Luigi! Wait!" Mario exclaims.
Mario then hops off as Toadsworth and Jake gasp.
"Oi, Mario! Dude, where are you going!?" Jake shouted.
"Master Mario! Sorry about that, master Jake." Toadsworth bowed and then paid coins while climbing off the buggy.
"Thanks. Take care, my dudes!" Jake called.
Where Mario and Luigi are are at the alleyway while dashing forward.
As Mario catches up to Luigi, the brothers halt as they witness an orange hooded girl with jean shorts who was carrying a human man by the collar.
"Trying to take my crown, huh? Well I got news for you, bub, how about you take someone else's crown and I won't have to kick your butt! Understand!?" A hooded tanned girl yelled as a man shrieked.
"Y- Yes! T- Take your crown! Please don't hurt me!" The man whimpers.
"Hurt you? Listen buddy, you're lucky I'm a princess of this empire. I won't execute you, but I'll give you a knuckle sandwich!" A hooded girl raises her fist while growling.
"A knuckle wha-"
Pow! Right in the face, the man crashed onto a caterpillar creature called a 'wriggler,' leading him to fall unconscious.
"Wha…" Mario and Alice are in shock as they witness a woman beating a lot of men and a wriggler and then puts a crown on her necklace.
"Hey, Daisy, still up to your usual shenanigans as always." Luigi chuckles as he waves.
The one behind the hood is the one Mario, Luigi and Alice have been searching for.
Princess Daisy Flora of the Sarasaland Empire.
"Luigi?" Daisy pulls down her hood as she reveals her brown hair as it's length is by her lower shoulders.
"What the!?" Mario exclaims, witnessing Daisy's blue eyes that are unusual as they call it 'sanpaku' which is a sign of delinquency.
Is this princess a delinquent?
What's also unusual is her teeth as it looks like a shark as if she's about to bite someone like an animal or a chain chomp as Mario assumes.
To Luigi, she's beautiful. But to Mario and Alice, she's a strange princess with a scary face.
'I'm pretty sure she doesn't have a face like that.' Alice points out in shock.
"Thanks for convincing me that." Mario gulps while standing by Luigi's side.
"Hey, Luigi! Boy, am I glad to see you again!" Daisy cheers while grabbing Luigi's hands. "Yeah. Happen to pick fights with those thieves."
To Daisy's surprise, Mario is right in front of her.
"Mario! I knew you'd come back! Man, I missed you so much!" Daisy hugs Mario and then lets him down back on the ground.
"So you're Daisy, huh?" Mario asks.
"Eh? You know me. Daisy." Daisy points at herself, confused about Mario acting like it was his first time meeting Daisy herself.
'You're right. He does know you.' Alice's voice is revealed as she's outside of Mario's body.
"Woah! Who are you!?" Daisy exclaimed.
"Alice Aduraice, I am Mario and Luigi's guardian and the citizen of Mushroom Kingdom." Alice introduced herself to Daisy.
"A- Alice, huh? So I see you're Mario's… Friend?"
"Friend, yes. But I am a vengeful spirit that protects those in need." Alice explains herself.
"So, a ghost friend." Daisy answers her own question.
"Yeah… Long story." Mario chuckles nervously.
"Master Mario! Master Luigi! There you are!" Toadsworth shouted after Alice hastily vanished into Mario's body.
Mario and Luigi turn around as Toadsworth marches past the duo.
"Toadsworth?" Daisy halts with surprise.
"Ah, Princess Daisy. I see you're outside your castle." Toadsworth clears his throat.
"Yeah. So what's going on with Mario?" Daisy asked.
"Hm?" Toadsworth is curious about what Daisy means.
"I mean everything. What happened to him?"
"Well…"
Toadsworth and Luigi explain the events as Luigi doesn't mention Alice as a way to keep her hidden.
"Huh. So Mario has amnesia. I was wondering why he acts like he doesn't know me. Sorry about that, Mario." Daisy apologises while chuckling.
"No. It's alright. I think I know you from before…" Said Mario.
"I bet you do." Daisy mutters. "But what about Mario's ghost?"
"Hm?" Toadsworth rubs his moustache and stops with surprise.
"Geh!?" Mario and Luigi exclaimed.
"Yeah! Her name is Alice. She's blonde and has green eyes." Daisy explains as Mario and Luigi are quick to laugh it off. "Huh? What's so funny?"
"Oh, Daisy! You never change much! Always a jokester!" Luigi hollers with laughter and then goes closer to her while whispering. "We need to keep Alice a secret between us."
"Really?"
"Yeah. We can't have Toadsworth seeing ghosts near him, unless it's boos."
Daisy gets what Luigi meant as he's trying to save Mario and Alice from being exposed. It also led her to laugh along with Mario and Luigi.
"Hm? You know there's no laughing matter. Your majesty, we need to form a meeting and a treaty for both of our countries." Toadsworth sighed.
"Sure. Let me breathe. Alright. And here I thought I was the lazy one. Peach is lucky to escape her meetings and I'm more of an outdoor person than her…" Daisy sighs.
"I feel your pain, Daisy." Luigi pats Daisy's shoulder while lifting her spirits.
"Heh. Thanks, Luigi." Daisy giggles.
Finally, Mario (and Alice), Luigi, Toadsworth and Daisy are leaving the alleyway as they're heading towards the castle that is Daisy's home.
Lucky for Mario, Daisy's attitude contrasts her face as she's more laid back and tomboyish.
Hiding behind the alleyway is a koopa wearing a cloak as he's hiding behind the group while he and his army along with the 3 headed snake whisper with surprise.
"So there he is. The famous and infamous Mario. Hehehe. Tryclyde, you thinking what I'm thinking?" A big koopa chuckles.
"Oh? Sssso you want me to capture those two plumberssss? As you wish, your majesssty." 1 Tryclyde head bows.
"Hey! I wasss about to sssay that!" The other head hisses.
"Enough! Both of you! Hm. We'll arrange that, sssir Morton." The middle one accepts as he's nodding.
"Good. Koopa pack, prepare yourselves if you don't want to end up like that bozo, Larry and his idiots. Split up." Morton ordered.
"Sir!" The koopas, goombas, lakitus, spiny, spikes and pokeys salute as they split up from each other, leaving Morton and Tryclyde to follow Mario and his group.
Morton 'Big Mouth' Koopa Jr. The second son of Bowser and was the heaviest of the group who specialises in heavy metal music and was an actor of a TV show, now working in the desert to spy on Mario and take him to his father, Bowser, by dressing up as a civilian of Sarasaland.
Possibly his name must be after his uncle or something.
With Morton and Tryclyde sneaking behind, they take the bus to the nearest stop to Daisy's castle and make sure what's going on on Mario's group's side before ambushing and capturing them.
