Chapter 26
"What the actual… fuck is this?"
Suiryu was standing there, utterly amazed as Sukuna peered about as if he had never seen anything around him before. Yua decided it was best to not try and taint his memories of the past, nor try to be the people from it. In the end, Suiryu had to agree with the notion. If one doesn't act like how the person Sukuna remembers, he won't trust any of them.
Not that he did to begin with.
However, he trusts Yua since she is a Tooru. She hasn't mentioned the worst things he has done, instead she has shown him around the domain and reintroduced him to everyone. When he came to Suiryu. Sukuna was a little taken aback. "How… he reminds me a lot of me… Yet he looks like him… just… I don't know more of a punk?"
"Punk?!" Suiryu demanded.
"He's the cooler version of me," Yuuji said however, his back was up to all of this. "Suiryu is my twin brother,"
He looked between the two and nodded. "I see the resemblance… you're dragons too aren't you?"
This… surprised them. "How could you tell?" Suiryu asked.
"It's the aura you project, I sense no curse energy but power. That to me, is a sign of a dragon. The hosts of Ryujin were the same way… speak of Ryujin…" he turned to Yua.
"He fused his soul to another… in fact, he fused it to Suiryu." She explained.
He was stunned by this. "Soul fusion is possible?"
"For dragons apparently, but let's leave it for now. It was Ryujin's choice as well, he was getting to a point where he couldn't live within a host anymore." She explained.
Sukuna merely nodded to the news. "Please explain it to me later?"
Yua agreed, but first, something to eat.
He was surprised by the assortment of food offerings, and how different they were. But he never refused. If anything, he relished the flavors and enjoyed his meal very much. Yet, he still looked troubled.
"How can there be only one Tooru left out of a whole clan?" he asked. "The Toorus are always resilient…"
Yua nodded to him. "Sometimes, sorcerers are terrified by those they refuse to understand. You of all know this well, right?" she asked.
His head merely nodded to her. "But… how did I survive for the past thousand years and no one else?"
Yua paused. "I can tell you, but at the same time, it might be too much for you"
He looked determined. "Tell me,"
Yua took a seat. "You fell in battle, however, there were those waiting in the wings for this moment. For you were under a binding vow with a sorcerer who promised to bring you back in the future. Your body couldn't be destroyed, however, your fingers were severed and separated. Those became cursed objects and divided your power."
He was suddenly looking at his hands. "Curse objects… But… becoming a curse object…"
"Much has happened, Ryomen. At the same time, I want you to take your time with this, you shouldn't know everything that has happened all at once. If you do, I fear it would do far more harm than good."
Suiryu had a new admiration for Yua. Despite the fact that before her, she could recant every horrible thing Sukuna has done before him. She could remind him of every task, beating, killing… everything he did. But she refuses to do so.
It's a level of patience he never knew existed until now.
"Have you had enough to eat?" she asked of him. Sukuna nodded. "Let's continue the tour then."
When they left the dining hall. Yuuji took a deep breath and sighed. "A part of me wants to erupt and tell him the horrible things he has done to not just us, but our friends and family as well. But I feel if Yua isn't doing it, I shouldn't either."
"Smart," Suiryu muttered, at the same time, he wonders if this is right. "I don't care for the bastard, and yet the way Yua is handling this, will it set him up for a greater fall later or will he unleash a new sort of hell?" he asked.
Neither one knew, but Suiryu knew to keep a close eye on it.

He felt terrible leaving Nobara with the twins all day. Luckily, his little sisters were more than willing to help out. "We got this big brother, you watch out for Yua!"
"Indeed! We will protect big sister and our nieces!" decreed the other.
He smiled and nodded. "I'll be counting on you," but turned to Nobara, she gave a nod of approval as well. Since after all, Sukuna could very well be a ticking time bomb without knowing when and how he is going to go off!
He followed them all day.
Keeping a distance and yet, he could hear everything they spoke of.
Sukuna was determined to get his answers. "Who defeated me in battle? How… how did I become a curse object?"
Yua sighed. "That's a question I need to answer later, since you don't know fully as to what has happened to you."
The strange thing was, he was oddly understanding. He didn't push the matter and yet there was this look in his eyes, one that didn't settle well with Suiryu.
"He's piecing it together in his head already…" Suiryu muttered to himself.
"HEY!"
He jumped as Sukuna turned and glared at him. "How about some privacy? You may be a dragon, but you shouldn't eavesdrop!"
Suiryu turned to Yua, who merely nodded in agreement with him.
She… doesn't want anyone's help?
Strange… does she have a plan or something?
