Here's the final chapter and our official introduction to the Guardian Protectorate. Plus the setup for my broader fic plans.

Setting: Somewhere Within The Afterlife

Location: The Guardian Protectorate Headquarters

Following their unpleasant yet necessary encounter with the currently defunct Time Masters Oliver and T'Challa returned to their headquarters and to the throne room from whence they presided over the multiverse's affairs alongside their fellow protectorates. Said members currently present and occupying their own golden thrones.

The members who made up the organization besides Oliver and T'Challa consisted of Tony Stark, Natasha Romanoff, Earth Prime Laurel Lance, and her fellow resident heroine Frost.

The first two aforementioned members on their parts seated themselves onto their own thrones followed by the legendary heroes immediately conversing and starting with how Laurel had briefly returned to the realm of the living and had alerted the Legends including her sister regarding the Time Masters partnership with Savage and their corruption in general. Her meeting with the Legends transpiring in conjunction with Oliver and T'Challa's meeting with the ruthless organization though her own meeting concluding before that of her colleagues.

The Legends had found themselves shocked while Rip especially felt betrayed after learning of his former colleagues true colors and particularly after hearing they'd orchestrated his family's murder. But after recovering they'd worked to prevent Per Dagathon from murdering his father and then with Laurel's assistance had lured Savage into a trap before Kendra rendered the fatal blow upon their almost immortal adversary. Neutralizing the threat he'd posed and ending his centuries long reign of terror while saving Rip's family. After which the Legends had disbanded and resumed their respective lives while Rip had returned to his family.

Following that Oliver steered the discussion towards matters of greater importance.

"With the Time Masters neutralization and as authorized by the Forces above us we've concluded Phase I of our operation," he began and addressed the others. "And now we need to commence Phase II by expunging the mess they've unleashed upon the multiverse and resetting it into its proper direction."

The other heroes were in full agreement with his words.

"That's correct. And the sooner the better," Stark stated while nodding alongside his companions.

Laurel on her part turned towards Oliver with an expression of gratitude.

"While I know we were only conducting our duty pertaining to the Time Masters I'd still like to share with you how much I appreciate you avenging me by removing them from the equation," she emotionally said to him before her eyes began glistening with tears. "Hearing that one's life was ripped away before their time is never an easy thing to be informed of and it means the world that you've ensured justice for me was finally served. Thank you so much."

Oliver gently returned her smile.

"Of course Laurel. You were my first love and are one of my closest friends and your murder was a tremendous miscarriage of justice and should've never transpired. And I deeply apologize that it was something you were forced to endure and I admit that I felt no small amount of satisfaction when T'Challa and myself finally addressed that crime against you amongst the other injustices the Time Masters committed. And for the foreseeable future they are prevented from harming anyone else," he softly responded to her and with his own eyes also glistening with tears before reaching out his hand towards her which she grasped.

Their companions observed the scene between the two lifelong friends with soft smiles and also feeling gratified that justice had been served for Laurel.

The moment soon passed and then Natasha spoke up.

"Returning to the main subject we were discussing but in order to fully achieve Phase II and as we've agreed beforehand but we've already pre-selected a group of eight individuals from across the multiverse which we'll recruit to conduct the needed course corrections throughout it. And they will serve as our champions who'll rectify the damage inflicted," she stated.

"A recruitment process I will be conducting within the immediate future," Oliver added. "And while the majority of them have previously displayed negative behavior and sometimes worse in some instances than in others they've nonetheless managed to redeem themselves. Either on their own or the result of other outside influences including amongst themselves. And you yourself Laurel made a significant impression upon one of them when you visited her in her dreams."

"Very true. Dinah Drake has displayed tremendous progress in her efforts towards repentance following my visit and her recruitment will enable her to further make a difference but in the correct fashion. Same as with the others in regards to who'll join her in achieving it," the aforementioned heroine agreed and stated further.

"Those others being Felicity Smoak, Iris West, John Diggle, John Walker, the young guard Brian Zander from the Battlestar Galactica space vessel within his universe and who rescued the Number Six clone known as Natalie from an unjust death, and two Sunnydale residents and associates of the Scooby Gang from their own universe," T'Challa listed. "Those two particular residents having been reviled by elements of the Fourth Wall residents who've declared their attempts at redemption to have been half baked at best."

"Thankfully however I've foreseen a shift within their timeline which should not only provide them with a proper redemptive journey but will serve in halting the commencement of their greatest immoral actions earlier in their lives," Oliver shared.

"And once we've bestowed this mission upon them all then together they'll operate as a true force for good," Frost affirmed to which the other Protectorates agreed with.

"Regrettably there's the fact and due to knowledge gleaned from your premonitions that Druce's confinement won't be permanent and somehow he will be liberated and will unleash vast armies onto the multiverse in retaliation for our actions against him. Aligning himself with 2 or 3 other highly formidable adversaries who'll furnish him with said armies in addition to his own," Stark addressed Oliver in concern. Causing the latter plus the others faces to transition into grim expressions. The Emerald Archer remembering the precise nature of those premonitions in that the multiverse was headed for a significant onslaught spearheaded by Druce.

"Tharp's why and in addition to having a team of champions to redeem the multiverse I've also selected two other groups of champions who'll lead the charge in repelling what will befall it. And here are each one of them who'll serve that purpose," Oliver stated in response before punctuating it with his eyes glowing green followed by two shimmering rectangular images materializing before them. The images positioned side by side.

Within the first image were displayed a number of individuals consisting of Jonathan Kent Jr., the older offspring of the version of Superman on their world, and his girlfriend Candice Pergande. A world which also shared Britta Beach and the other primary inhabitants of Riverdale along with Senseis Samantha Larusoo, Miguel Diaz, Tory Nichols, Robby Lawrence, and Julie Pearce of the Miyagi Fang Dojo. Alternate versions of Laurel Lance, Thea Queen, Roy Harper, Sin, Luke Fox, and famed organizations of legendary heroes on their Earth plus Senseis Nicky Shen, Henry Yan, Zhilan Zhang, and Mia Yang. And a vigilante known as Riley North on her world.

Riley's story also happened to be yet another one of many stories chronicled by the Fourth Wall residents and they'd titled it as "The Peppermint Chronicles 2018".

Within the secondary image were displayed a number of couplings consisting of a currently deceased and alternate version of Fitzsimmons from the 1700s of their world and who'd been torn apart by tragic circumstances before meeting an untimely demise. A lesbian, interracial, and interspecies human/vampire couple known as Calliope and Juliet respectively. A polyamorous union consisting of alternate versions of Barry Allen, Patty Spivot, and Felicity Smoak on their Earth. And a young couple with an age gap known as Maddy Shannon and Mark Reynolds from a colony known as Terra Nova which was established within the prehistoric period of an alternate Earth and by the residents of a post-apocalyptic future of a different Earth.

"Is it just me or does that Riley North lady strongly resemble that Fourth Wall celebrity known as Jennifer Garner?" Stark commented upon taking a second glance at her features. The other Protectorates in turn found themselves agreeing with him as they took second glances of their own. Admitting that the resemblance was uncanny.

"As I was saying, these 3 groups are the individuals selected to conduct their specified roles in saving the multiverse. And the first group shall be known as the Champions Of Redemption. The second group shall be known as the Champions Of Security. And the third group shall be known as the Champions Of Love," Oliver declared. "As for the senseis but their purpose besides participating in the ultimate battle will also be to train certain individuals from amongst the secondary group for what's to eventually transpire. The Miyagi Fang Senseis will train Jonathan, Candice, and Britta while Nicky and her fellow senseis will train Laurel, Thea, Roy, and Sin.

"Everyone within these pertaining groups have either earned redemption for their previous wrongdoings, endured multiple crucibles and emerged stronger as a result, or displayed highly virtuous characteristics including strength of character and a desire to fight for what's honorable and righteous and that's why I've chosen them to serve as the first and final lines of defense," Oliver continued further. "And when the time comes they will be dispatched to protect the multiverse from Druce's nefarious plans once he invades it."

"Let's have faith that when we issue the summons for them they will indeed be ready to face the challenge ahead," Frost stated. "Especially the second group when the multiversal war commences."

A chorus of "Amen", "Indeed", "Absolutely", and "Definitely" were heard from Laurel, T'Challa, Natasha, and Stark respectively. Aware that what was to befall the multiverse would be unlike anything the future champions had ever experienced and that without a shadow of a doubt they would need to be prepared to stand fast against the eventual onslaught against their worlds plus all of the other worlds which would be affected.

The Guardian Protectorate however maintained confidence in their selected champions and trusted that when the eventual mutliversal assault commenced they would all rise to the occasion and would perform their shared roles to the best of their abilities.

A/N And that's the end of this fic and the lead up into the "Redemption and Recruitment" series though I'll be changing the name when I restructure them both among other non Elseworlds fics of mine into one series. I hope you all enjoyed this along with the foundation for my future fics that I listed per the name drops of the future champions.

As for the final 2 members of the first group but I'm still keeping them under wraps to surprise everyone with their identities. But for any eagle eyed readers who're fans of the Buffyverse I'll assume you'll likely guess accurately as to who they are based upon how I described them. Just to reiterate though, neither of them will be Warren Mears.

As for my fic plans I'd mentioned I'd share? It originally started with an idea to write a crossover between "Superman and Lois" and "Riverdale". Then other ideas entered my mind including to connect as many of my fics as possible wherever I could and with a common thread. Spectre Oliver and the Miyagiverse were chosen to be that thread.

Eventually my ideas increased and expanded and while they were still in flux I've finally managed to have a coalesced plan for now. And it's due to being inspired by James Gunn especially, Kevin Feige and perhaps Eric Wallace ("The Flash").

My plan is to connect as many of my fics together for the purpose of creating my own fanfiction franchise which will take the form of a unified and cohesive universe, or rather a multiverse, divided into 3 arcs. And they will consist of both connected, loosely connected, and standalone stories which will all officially introduce my chosen champions plus some interludes until the stories culminate into a climactic and hopefully epic crossover event.

When writing this author's note I ended up realizing that what I'm building will mostly resemble the Mandoverse's format based upon what I described within the preceding paragraph.

I also had a list of candidates to serve as my Thanos such as fictional presidential candidate Eddie Mora from the "Limitless" franchise, the anti-villainous and power hungry but does tremendous good for humanity scientist Rebecca Webb from Netflix's "The One", and while I can't remember I might've also considered the real Mandarin from the MCU as a candidate.

Eventually I settled on Time Master Druce to serve in that capacity and it's one of the main reasons this fic exists.

As for my other fics outside of this franchise and following my 100thfic but they've been officially relegated as Elseworlds. Just like Gunn is doing for programs outside of his connected DC universe. The same goes for other future fics not a part of my main plans.

I hope you'll all enjoy what I'm creating though fair warning but it will be way more than a significantly long time before this saga is completed since I'm a very slow writer.
