Time for the battles to get underway and the battle after would be Shino vs Zaku. They would both enter the arena and Lincoln would notice something about Zaku's arms as they are bandaged up, possibly due to what happened with Sasuke. Hayate would then declare the match as Zaku would try to use his Sound blasts but he couldn't even lift his arms.

Shino seeing this would send out a massive Swarm of bugs from his clothes which would begin to attack Zaku. Lincoln would then remember that Shino is an Aburame, they specialize in using bugs to farm chakra from opponents and use various Jutsu with them. Lincoln knew Zaku would lose and of course when Zaku ran at Shino to strike him Shino would dodge and Zaku's arms would then explode leaving a pool of blood as he slumped over as it would be clear that Shino used his destructive bugs which burrowed into his skin and explode I side his arms. Shino is declared the winner and moves on with Dosu and Kin watching in horror with Dosu vowing to avenge him.

They wouldn't have time to mourn as the next match is Shikamaru vs Kin as he says "Great I'm next what a drag" as he jumps down along with Kin as Hayate begins the match.

Shikamaru tries theShadow Imitation Techniquebut Kin easily evades and throws some senbon with bells attached at him. Shikamaru recognises.the trick and mocks her for using such basic techniques. Kin then rings the bells on the senbon, starting her genjutsu. Shikamaru gets caught in Kin's genjutsu, unable to move, while Kin proceeds to attack him with more senbon. Hovewer, when Kin tries to attack again, she suddenly realises that she can't move. Shikamaru tells her that he extended his Shadow Imitation Technique through the shadow of the wires she was holding. He then throws a shuriken at Kin, which she imitates. When Shikamaru ducks backwards to evade it, Kin is forced to imitate him, but she did not realise that she was too close to the wall, hitting her head and knocking herself out.Shikamaru is declared the winner of the match.The next match was then decided it was...Temari vs TenTen.

Once both girls arrived at the arena Hayate asked if they were ready and began the battle.

Tenten makes the first move and Temari easily dodges it.Team Guy was surprised that no weapon could even scratch or hit Temari. Tenten tries another attack that Temari repels using wind from herGiant Folding Fan, before warning Tenten that if she sees all three stars in her fan, the fight will be over. Tenten uses her Twin Rising Dragons technique. Uncovering the second star, Temari repels the attack, then Tenten uses strings to re-use the weapons. Uncovering the third star, Temari repels the attack and traps Tenten in a cyclone. When Tenten falls from the cyclone, Temari makes her land on her fan, knocking her out. After being declared winner, Temari tries to throw Tenten on the many weapons scattered on the floor, but Rock Lee descends and catches her. He then attacks Temari, only to be stopped by Might Guy, who warns the Suna shinobi to not underestimate TenTen. TenTen would then be taken to the infirmary by Guy.

The generator would then get to work as the names pop the opponents were Dosu vs Choji. Dosu and Choji would get to the arena and as the battle began Choji used his "Partial Expansion Jutsu" making his arm bigger swinging at Dosu who would dodge and send air pressure which sends him flying. Choji gets up and unleashes his "Human Bolder Jutsu" which turns Choji into a ball as he begins to try and crush Dosu. Choji used his"Human Bullet Tank"technique with the assumption that he was safe from Dosu's sound technique, but Dosu attacked and defeated him with one blow. He was saddened but his teammates congratulate him and take him out to his favorite barbecue restaurant after the preliminaries.

The generator would begin to choose again and it's Kankuro vs Kabuto's other Teammate Misumi. Hayate begins the match as Kankuro unwraps the bandage thing on his back revealing it to be a puppet. 'So he's a puppeteer huh I've heard of them but never saw one up close before' He would connect his chakra to the puppet and begins to use it to fight Misumi. Who quickly used his abilities to coil himself around Kankurō's body, trapping him in a stranglehold and threatening to break his neck if he didn't forfeit the match. Misumi made good on his threat when Kankuro refused, but it was soon revealed that what he had actually trapped was Kankuro's puppet disguised as him. Kankuro then made his puppet wrap its arms around Misumi's body and constrict him, breaking every bone in his body before Misumi was able to forfeit, thus winning the match. Kankuro would go back to the stands and Misumi would be taken to the infirmary the generator would begin again and would land on Sakura vs Ino. They both head down to the arena as they look at each other tying their headbands around their foreheads as they begin to fight once allowed.

Sakura and Ino continue exchanging blows with neither able to gain the upper hand, and running out of chakra. She berates Ino for being too focused on beauty rather than her kunoichi skills, causing her to cut her hair off, and throw it on the ground.

Desperate, Ino decides to use Mind Body Transferto force Sakura to forfeit, despite knowing how inaccurate it is, and that she will be left immobile if it misses. Sakura dodges the attack and appears to have won, but finds herself trapped by the strands of Ino's cut hair which have been infused with Chakra to form a binding rope. Ino reveals to only have pretended to miss on purpose, intending to lead her into the trap. She uses Mind Body Transfer again, knowing it can't miss now, and succeeds on gaining control of Sakura's body.

Having gained control,Inotries to make Sakura forfeit the match. Just then,Naruto and Lincoln yell at her so as not to give up, promptingher "inner Sakura"to appear and force Ino out of her head. Although confused by what happened, Ino lacks the energy to try again. They both charge at each other to exchange final blows, resulting in a double knock out Lincoln presumes that Ino's lack of Chakra was a factor in Sakura's small victory but also takes note of her strong will. Hayate decides that neither of them will pass to the next round.

With Kakashi

Kakashi would have taken Sasuke to an area to begin sealing his curse mark. Once everything was setup he wrote seals on Sasuke's body and around the curse mark which when he activates it hurts Sasuke but seals the curse mark to some degree. Sasuke would pass out as Kakashi prepares to take him to the infirmary that's when Orochimaru would appear of course Kakashi steps in his way to protect Sasuke ready to fight him. Kakashi threatened to kill Orochimaru, a threat that Orochimaru took lightly. Despite this, Orochimaru chose to walk away. As he left, Kakashi admitted to himself that he could not kill Orochimaru on his own.He would then dress Sasuke and pick him up and bring him to the infirmary.

Back at the arena the medics had taken Sakura and Ino away and the number machine began to spin all of those who hadn't gone got prepared for which one of them were going to fight. The board then makes its decision on the next match it's...
