The names chosen were...Naruto vs Kiba, Naruto was excited finally he could go and Kiba was cocky saying how this will be easy. They enter the arena and once the match begins Kiba rushes at Naruto with such speed Naruto wouldn't have seen it coming.

Lincoln notices that Naruto is immediately at a disadvantage, realising that Kiba fights with the assistance of his dog,Akamaru. Kiba charges at him, and delivers a blow to his stomach, knocking him down. Assuming he won, he tells Hayate to call the match, when Naruto gets back up, taunting him he'd be better off sending his puppy. Kiba throws Smoke Bombs, before using the commotion to deliver more blows. When the smoke clears, he sees an unconscious Naruto laying on the ground, unaware it's just a Shadow Clone, and calls "Akamaru" towards him who latches onto his arm. Naruto reveals himself to have transformed into his dog, while his clone holds the real Akamaru.

Kiba flicks a food pill at him, causing his fur to turn red and ferocious, before taking one himself. Once powered up, Kiba and Akamaru use a combination of Four Legs Technique and Beast Human Clone to overwhelm Naruto with two beastly opponents. Finishing the combination with Fang Passing Fang, Naruto falls flat on his face, and swears to persevere in order to become Hokage, while being taunted.

Lincoln yells "Are you really just going to let him taint your dream like that Naruto! Or are you going to show him what the future Hokage is capable of?!" Naruto hearing his best friends words would get up determined to win, using Kiba's own smokescreen as a cover,Naruto disguises himself as a third Kiba through use of the Transformation technique and tricks Kiba into knocking Akamaru out, which only serves to anger Kiba. Naruto, however, is still at a disadvantage due to Kiba's pill-enhanced chakra and superior speed. Kiba's onslaught ends when Naruto accidentally farts in Kiba's face due to straining himself too hard, resulting in a disastrous effect on him due to his enhanced sense of smell which makes everyone just look on with a mixture of confusion and disgust with Lincoln and Kurenai thinking 'He messed with Kiba's senses due to his heightened nose'. Naruto then finishes the battle with Naruto Uzumaki Combo, a technique he based on Sasuke's winning move that utilises his Shadow Clones.

Naruto is declared the winner and Kiba is taken to the infirmary while Hinata gives Naruto some healing ointment when he reaches back to the stands of course Sakura punches him in the head for the...event that happened in the match but congratulates him all the same. Lincoln just laughs at him saying "Not bad buddy" Naruto would smile and then the screen would begin to select names again and its Hinata Vs her cousin from the clan's branch house Neji, the latter of which glares at the girl with burning hate in his eyes as the made there way to the arena Neji intimidates and berates his cousin, saying that she is too kind and gentle to be a ninja. Hinata, scared and helpless, seems ready to forfeit when Neji continues his criticisms. Tired of his taunts,Naruto cheers Hinata on while Lincoln shuts Neji up saying if he truly is a Ninja he should just shut up. This gives her the strength to fight back. Hinata and Neji fight each other using the Hyūga clan's trademark Gentle Fist style.

The fight is fierce with the blows from each attack being felt by all but Neji manages to block Hinata's arm tenketsu special pressure points that produce and maintain the flow of chakra, during their close combat. With all of them tapped, Hinata's chakra flow to her hand is effectively cut off and her blow to Neji's heart has no effect. Neji continues his assault, but Hinata continues to stand up, inspired by Naruto. She tells Neji that she believes he is suffering more by fighting his destiny. Angered, Neji attempts a fatal blow, But his Sensei Guy as well as another Jonin who appeared near them in a flash stop him something Neji comments about the Main Branch having special treatment.

Hinata collapses into cardiac arrest shortly after being taken to the infirmary, as Naruto vows to avenge her putting her blood on his hands and looking at Neji who scoffs at him walking away making Naruto pissed but Lincoln stops him saying "Don't let him get under your skin people like him just want to get a reaction out of you you'll avenge her be patient" Naruto would nod as the made their way back to the stands.

The board would then begin to select names and it's...Fuu Vs her Teammate Keron. Lincoln recognises him as the one who held her up and he was pissed but walked up to the girl and told her to do her best she would nervously smile and give thumbs up as she went down to the arena with her Teammate who was grinning like a mad man.

Hayate would then ask if both fighters are ready they nod and he says "Hajime!" as Fuu runs at the man beginning to send a flurry of punches at him but he dodges and kicks her in the stomach. She groans in pain but gets over it grabbing his leg and slamming him into the ground which would make a small crater, she goes to punch him but he moves his head and headbutts her making her stumble back. He then does hand signs and says "Water-Style Water Shuriken Jutsu" as he then spits out water which forms into Shuriken. Lincoln is shocked by this and thinks 'That jutsu is an A-Rank technique only people with high water manipulation and chakra reserves could perform that. He is no Genin, no Genin besides myself and even Naruto could perform as we both have large chakra reserves but this guy and the other teammate has to be a higher rank but why be in the exams in the first place...unless it was to watch Fuu due to her being a Jinchuriki of course.'

With that Lincoln continued to watch, The shurikens would fly at Fuu who would dodge them, she then does hands signs and says "Lightning-Style Multi Lightning Ball" as balls of Lightning would appear and fly towards the shuriken dispersing then in smoke. Fuu would rush at Keron who was panting due to the jutsu ready to finish he would smile evilly and make a single hand sign as Fuu's body would erupt with electricity as she begins to cry out in pain he says

"Well well, didn't know I had this little trick up my sleeve did you"

"What...are...you...doing...to...me" she would say in pain as she lies on the ground in pain

"Oh this is just a simple sealing Jutsu in case you ever went on a rampage now forfeit and I may stop" He would say smiling sadistically.

"N..Never you bastard you're nothing more than a cowar-...AHHHH"

She would be but he makes the seal hurt more as she begins to cry as he puts his foot on her head.

"Let her go coward!!" He would look to see Lincoln looking at him in anger but he just continues to smile

"Oh did I strike a nerve oh don't tell me the little monster is your girlfriend how cute" as he stomps on her head making her cry

Lincoln sees this would get very pissed to the point where he is bending the rails he is holding as He yells "The only monster here is you, she is more human than you, your teammate or any of the people in your village, You and your partner are nothing more than cowards! She is my friend and I won't let harm come to her anymore!"

He wouldn't even care and is about to stomp on her again but she grabs his leg as the Lightning surrounding her would turn yellow and begin to shape around her as she punches him sending him flying he gets up and sees the Lightning had taken shape of a beetle horn as she just stares at him blankly. Lincoln would cheer for her saying "You can do this Fuu show them you're not who they say you are! Show them you're not a Monster!" as she rushes at him she would slam into him as lightning and smoke would envelop the area they were in.

Lincoln would hope she's ok, as the smoke clears it would show her standing over his body which has burns and is knocked out cold. Lincoln would smile but then sees her slump over almost falling but he catches her.

Hayate would come over and declare that both of them will not be participating in the finals due to both being unconscious. The medics would come and take her and Keron away as Lincoln watches on sad smiling as he looks up knowing he will have to face the only three who haven't gone: Gaara, Rock Lee and Fuu's last Teammate Yoro.

The match would be decided...Izuna Vs Yoro who would jump into the arena with him. Hayate would ask if they are ready, both would nod and he begins the match immediately Yoro jumps and begins by throwing shuriken then using the "Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique" he makes multiple Shuriken rush at Lincoln. Lincoln looks at the Shuriken draws his Katana gets into his Water Stance and begins to cut all the shuriken coming at him.

Hayate would look impressed thinking 'The fabled blade of The Ghost of Tsushima I wonder if he knows-' but his thoughts would be cut short when Lincoln suddenly says under his breath "Heavenly Strike" moving in the blank of an eye he would land on the railing of the stands he then seethes the blade as he declares he has won. Yoro would be confused but then feel a sharp pain in his chest and sees a gaping slash wound as he falls unconscious onto the arena ground. Everyone would look to Lincoln in amazement he moved so fast his blade was even cleaned. He would be declared the winner putting him in the finals.

After Yoro was taken away to the infirmary they moved on to the final match Gaara Vs Rock Lee both would enter the arena and as Hayate says begin Lee begins the fight by attacking with Taijutsu, but his attacks are blocked by Gaara's sand. To bypass the speed of his shield,Guy permits Lee to remove his leg weights, everyone thinks what is weights going to help but is flabbergasted when Lee drops the waits and once dropped they create a massive boom when dropped...how can he even stand with those on?! Anyway in doing so, Lee's speed increases and he manages to land hits, only to discover Gaara's body is coated in Sand. Opening the first of the Eight gates, Lee launches Gaara into the air with several kicks. Catching him with his bandages, Lee uses the Front Lotus, only to discover he used it on a Substitution.

Lincoln notes Lee's speed proved too much for Gaara, and his sand was no longer able to form a shield fast enough to be of use. Lee opened the Fifth Gate, and used his most powerful attack,Reverse Lotus. Gaara survived this final blow due to him softening his fall by turning his gourd into sand, and used the sand to crush Lee's left arm and leg. Gaara moved his sand to finish Lee, but Guy jumped in to protect his student. Lee, although unconscious due to the pain, rose to continue the battle, his desire to win fuelling his broken body. Guy wept at Lee's dedication, and Lee was taken away to recover. The medical ninja announced that Lee's injuries were too severe to be completely healed, and that he would never be able to fight as a ninja again. Guy regretted teaching Lee such dangerous techniques, and vacated the ring as Gaara was declared the winner and later once Sasuke recovered all finalists lined up and picked out numbers from a box to see who they would face in the finals The results are:

1. Naruto Uzumaki Vs Neji Hyuga

2. Sasuke Uchiha Vs Izuna

3. Dosu Vs Shikamaru Nara

4. Kankuro Vs Shino Aburame

Temari will fight whoever wins match 3

Gaara will fight whoever wins match 2

The finalists are given 1 month of training so now it was time for the finals of the Chunin Exams let's see who will come out on top of if there is something else happening behind the shadows.
