A/N: You know guys, watching the series finale of The Owl House yet another time; I'm reminded why we do what we do. Creators put their all into something and they're at the mercy of the networks. Sometimes they come around like with Nickelodeon and the brand new Avatar Studios. But with what happened to Dana Terrace, shows like Infinity Train and Dead End: Paranormal Park; it makes me sad when a unique show that takes chances is given the axe. At least the Owl Gang was able to squeeze out a satisfying finale but some shows aren't so lucky.

Victorious for example never got a final episode. And let's be real here, guys. The show had so much more potential with these characters. Imagine if we had cannon JORI on the show. Back then? It would've been a trailblazer! Watching that episode when they went on the play-date felt like a long game was desired but never explored. How muted KORRASAMI was, obviously Nickelodeon was too timid for such representation.

Fanfics based around Tori and Jade and the others are what got me into this world in the first place. Whether you are a reader or a writer; we are in agreement that some characters and some worlds deserve more than they got and because we aren't saddled by rights or budget, the sky's the limit! There are shows that succeed that we just miss and want to expand on the universe. But Victorious is unique in that I want these characters but in different situations that the show wouldn't dare because this is our playground! We can do what we want!

I'll come down off my soap box and head back to the keyboard. Weather's finally warming up so I can take my walks again which always inspire me.

Take it easy everyone and stay tuned!

David was so anxious he couldn't sit down. He hadn't stopped pacing since finding out what happened to his second born.

It was too fantastical. If someone had told him this story, he wouldn't believe it in a million years! But it was staring him in the face.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

Startled, Mr. Vega answered the door. But he knew exactly who it was.

Alex and Bonnie West stood there with their concerned daughter.

"What happened?" demanded Jade.

"Just calm down," sighed David. He then looked around for any nosy neighbors. "You're gonna have to come inside."

"What's going on?" asked Bonnie. "Is Tori missing?"

He looked toward the kitchen and then back at his guests.

"No, not exactly."

Alex glanced at his wife and daughter.

"David, I know we haven't spoken much but if there's trouble I will help. But I need to know what the trouble is."

The police officer stared at the attorney like a UFO abductee about to recount his story.

"You're gonna think I'm wacko, so see for yourselves."

He stepped aside and gestured for the West clan to enter the kitchen beyond the living room.

They approached Trina and Holly sitting at the family table with Tori across from Trina. From their perspective, Tori was the furthest away but this table wasn't that big and they weren't standing that far. So upon getting closer it was undeniable that Jade's darling girlfriend was looking diminutive right now.

"What the hell...?" blurted out Mr. West.

Bonnie gasped and covered her mouth in disbelief.

"What the fuck!?"

The mother smacked Jade on the arm.

"Language!"

"I'm sorry, mom but my girlfriend lost her...muchness...in one night!"

"You can say 'short'" sighed Tori. "It's not a slur."

Jade rushed over to Tori and couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"How...how tall are you now?" she asked.

"Jade," groaned her father.

"It's okay, Mr. West" Tori said. "I was 4'8 when they measured me a little bit ago."

Alex West walked over to Tori to get a closer look.

"Tori," he said, biting the inside of his cheek. "I don't want to alarm you but...you look a little smaller than 4'8."

"WHAT?"

Everyone looked at Holly and then back at Mr. West.

"My nephew Bill, Jade's cousin, is 4'6 and I'm just eye-balling here but he looks like he could dunk on Tori."

"Trina get the tape!" ordered David.

The older daughter slid out to fetch the measuring tape.

"Okay, I know the drill" huffed Tori.

She practically had to hop off the chair as if she was hopping off the examination table at the doctor's office. Even a grown adult's feet would dangle. Jade tugged on the collar of her t-shirt, beside herself with confusion and fear. Something was happening to her girlfriend and she didn't know why this was happening and now there's a new worry:

Will she continue to shrink?

Trina returned with the measuring tape and Mr. Vega, to his surprise, had to get on his knees and check his daughter's height.

"Three..." he coughed. "Three foot ten?"

Bonnie shook her head.

"That's impossible," she said.

"If you don't mind," Alex intervened. "Let me try."

He did the exact same thing and when he read the result, his face fell.

"My God! Forty-six inches," he breathed heavily like he was running out of air. "This would mean...shit...she lost 19 inches in less than 24 hours?"

David grabbed Alex's arm and took him into the living room out of ear shot.

"I'm afraid its worse than that," Mr. Vega confessed.

"What do you mean?" Alex asked.

"Think about it," he said, shaking the man. "We measured Tori at 4'8 just a few hours ago. Now she's lost ten inches!"

The both looked at the kitchen.

"I don't know what the rate is but whatever it is, its rapid." David said, his eyes full of worry.

Alex thought about it.

"If these trends continue, she could be microscopic in just a couple of days!"

"We have to do something!" pleaded David.

Mr. West squirmed out of the man's grasp.

"From what I understand those FBI idiots are on the case," Alex said. "And they won't work with us locals."

"That's what I was thinking," David whispered to him. "We can work together and find this scientist!"

Alex tilted his head.

The man was desperate and as a father himself, he can understand where he is coming from but the conceit that they can catch a fugitive on their own?

"What can we do, David?"

"Come on, I'm LAPD and you're an attorney. Men like us don't spend years in our fields without associating with...a few undesirables along the way. Grease the wheels now and again in the name of justice."

"Are you admitting corruption to me, officer?" he mildly smirked.

"What? No!" David protested. "I just meant that sometimes we have to convince those unwilling to give out pertinent information."

Alex pointed at David's chest.

"Excuse me! But my hands are clean."

"Mine too, Alex but..." he looked around. "But I'm sure your office forged some acquaintances that would...come in handy?"

The attorney thought about it. He was getting what Alex was putting down.

"Perhaps I do have a few favors I can cash in," Alex mused.

"I'm telling you," David said, patting the man on the shoulder. "We can navigate our way through the criminal underground. There won't be a place for this son of a bitch to hide."

"What makes you think he can even cure...this?"

David looked over at his family, distraught over what is happening.

"I don't know but I have to try. I need your help, Alex. She's my little girl." The Vega patriarch shut his eyes. "You know what I mean."

Alex stared at the floor, breathing deeply in contemplation.

"Okay, let's do this."

"We're coming too!"

The men turned and their wives were standing there, arms folded.

"How much of that did you hear?" David asked.

"You guys aren't exactly subtle," quipped Bonnie.

"She's my daughter too!" said Holly. "And I want to see some punk get in my way."

Alex's eyes widened.

(I've been in the same room as murderers and this woman is scaring the shit out of me.)

"I guess it's settled, then" shrugged the attorney.

"I'm driving," said Holly, taking the keys off the hook.

David massaged his temples.

"We better go grab some coffee on the way, this is going to be a long night."

"What's going on?" asked Trina.

"You three stay here," said Alex. "Tori is in good hands with you and Jade. Keep the door locked and don't answer the phone if the number is strange."

Trina ran toward the front door, impeding the adults.

"Hold on!" she said. "I want to help too!"

"You can, sweetheart" Holly said with teary eyes. "By helping your sister stay safe. Why don't you do some research online? Maybe you can be our intel like that lady from Criminal Minds."

David felt uneasy. Between his wife's penchant for cop shows and Bonnie's true crime fanaticism, him and Alex are gonna have their work cut out for them with these housewives turned vigilantes.

"I'm counting on you girls to hold down the fort," David said. "We will call when we find out anything. And you let us know how Tori is doing."

Trina nodded and looked back at Jade, who was consoling Tori in the kitchen.

"We'll be back," he added. "When, I have NO idea!"

The parents exited the Vega household.

"Are they really going to look for the scientist?" asked Tori.

Trina looked nervous.

"They sure are!"

Tori attempted to stand up and walk but she tripped over her legs. The clothes she was wearing were huge on her to the point that her bottoms draped the floor.

"Ow."

"Tori we need to find you something that fits," Jade said. "Any ideas?"

The Latina made a dour face.

"Ugh! I have an idea," she groaned.
