The sounds of laughter brought a smile on Naira's muzzle. She was currently watching a pre-teen light brown lioness, Miaisha play with Duchess Rosa's pre-teen daughter Cristina and Jashua as well as Lord Malka and Lady Mheetu's gold son, Atasi.

A cool breeze blew by bringing her to another thought, one that's not as joyful for others namely her sister but very pleasant for her. It's been a little over a month since her...comforting the king. She knows that she's pregnant, her first sign was throwing up a few days ago, the last sign was that she was feeling over emotional.

Strangely enough, Naira hasn't told anyone, but her best friend Yona, who somehow knew. During her time in the Pridelands, she became close to the dark blonde lioness.

It's only a matter of time before everyone else figures it out.

"Naira..."

The creamy lioness' ears flickered before turning her head to see her mother with Yona. Naira's ears pinned against her head as she frowned bitterly, more like sooner than later. "Yes, mother?"

The elder creamy lioness stood near the bit younger lioness, her tail swishing side to side as her pale green eyes were narrowed. "Who's the father?" Sarafina knew her daughter was pregnant, change of scent. She also knows who the father is, she's just hoping she's wrong.

Naira lifted her head proudly as she smiled without remorse. "King Simba."

Sarafina gasped, her eyes nearly popping out of her sockets. "Naira...how could you?!"

Naira turned her head as she growled. "Why should Nala be queen?! What about me?! Why wasn't I a candidate to be queen?! "

Sarafina sighed. "It was decided because of who Nala's father is but that didn't matte because Simba and nala fell in love." Sarafina nuzzled her daughter. "It's nothing we can do now."

Yona nuzzled her friend, "Same here but you have to tell King Simba."

Naira sat up and smiled. She looked over towards the young ones playing. "Have you seen him?"

Yona nodded. "He's with Mheetu and Malka by the main watering hole."

Naira nodded before standing, "Watch the cubs for me?" after seeing her friend and mother nod, she quickly ran off towards the water hole.

If there was anything Naira was crystal clear about, was that Lady Mheetu distasted her. The queen's maternal half-siter wasn't sure why but suspected that Malka's goldish mate knew what happened between her and the king.

Naira soon caught sight of Simba sitting with a lion and a lioness. She smiled darkly, before she continued forward.

To Naira this was just purrfect...

A low growl cause her to look to her side to see Mheetu glaring at her.

"What do you want?" the goldish lioness snarled.

Naira glared at the younger lioness before she turned her bluish eyes towards Simba. "My love, I came to tell you that I'm pregnant."

Mheetu gasped before she growled and went to attack when Simba came out of his shock and blocked her. His eyes shown he was really far away from the situation. "I...I don't know what to say."

Mheetu snorted before growling. "Get rid of it!"

Simba ignored his sister-in-law before focusing on the creamy pelted lioness that's currently carrying his cub. "I'm not going to lie, our time together was nice... But... I love Nala. Your sister is my queen, my life. I was wrong to think of her otherwise, with your influence or not. I'm sorry, truly."

Naira was angered that her plan wasn't working but she wasn't going to let him know that. "I just thought you should know."

Simba, Malka and Mheetu watched Naira walk away before the gold lion sighed deeply as he stood.

"This is the last thing I need, right now. But you're right and I'll talk to him. But if you two will excuse me, I have to talk to Nala."

Malka and Mheetu nodded in understanding. They couple watched the king head in the direction of priderock before they went to collect their son.

xXx

It's been days since Naira told Simba she was pregnant. Now the whole pride knew, and the queen was furious. The tawny lioness made sure avoid her mate until now.

Queen Nala just had a conversation with her mother. She knew it, Naira got into Simba's head. After leaving her daughter under her mother's watch, Nala headed to the water hole.

But the queen's path was intercepted. Nala really didn't want to deal with Simba's crap just yet. Especially not after the way he been treating her and Jesús.

"Nala, please!" Simba begged his orange eyes remorseful. "I'm sorry."

Nala turned to face her mate. "You're sorry!? Simba, you hurt me! Embarrassed me! Why? Because of whom my father is!?"

Simba frowned and lowered his head. "I'm truly am sorry. I wasn't thinking straight. But please know, I do love you."

Nala glared before sighing. As much as Simba was to blame, Naira was even more. She let Simba embraced her.

Simba pinned his ears as he stepped back. "I can't explain how truly sorry I am. But there is something I need your help with."

Nala tilted her head, green eyes full of confusion but she listened to what her mate had to say.
