Jesús's dark brown eyes widened as he couldn't believe what he just heard. So many things to hear but not this!

"A-a-a-a, a prince?" the pale beige lion stuttered before shaking his head, trying to wrap his head around what he just heard. "You can't be serious, Simba!"

Nala laughed at the shocked almost ghostly expression on her brother's face. "Simba really wants you to be a proper royal."

Jesús had a stampede of thoughts coursing through his head. Shaking his head, Jesús turned his attention to the king and queen. "What about Malka? Mheetu? Or Zuri, my other two sisters?"

Simba cleared his throat. "Malka is my half-brother from my father. He's to become a Duke and with Mheetu as his mate, she'll be a Duchess. As for Duchess Rosa's daughters, time will tell."

Nala spoke after her mate finished speaking. "But we know that Kiara, even though she has a bit of memory lost wants young Lady Sherise to be her advisor."

At the mention of his niece having memory lost, Jesús snarled. He'll never forgive Zira for attacking Kiara and Sherise. The way Jesús sees it, Zira is no longer his sister.

"Congratulations, big brother!" Mheetu exclaimed proudly as she embraced her brother.

"You deserve it, after all Kiara and young Sherise could of had different fates if you didn't show up when you did." Malka smiled at his pale beige, black maned brother-in-law.

Jesús wanted to deny because of who he is. He is the son of a tyrant. Would he do any good as a prince?

Simba stood and approached Jesús. "I see you're still reluctant to accept. Just know that I and your loved ones have faith in you."

Jesús turned to look at his two remaining children. with him in the Pridelands "You two are awfully quiet. What do you two think?"

Kalista and Josh smiled at their father as they both replied. "Do it!"

Jesús and the other adults laughed just as Zazu flew into the cave and landed with a bow.

"Everything is prepared, your majesty."

Jesús chuckled as he looked at the gold king. "Everything is prepared, huh?"

Simba laughed before standing and exiting the cave. "Best not keep the kingdom waiting."

Jesús shook his head before standing himself and followed after everyone along with his children.

Into the bright sunlight, Jesús looked around and saw the whole pride was gathered. Even Rosa and all her children was sitting off to the side.

After a nod from Rafiki, Simba and Nala lead the procession through the rest of the pride, flanking them with bowed heads; after taking a deep breath Jesús followed.

The three made their way to the tip of the Promontory; first Simba roars, and then Jesús roared. Finally, all the roared together. Then the rest of the pride roars as the clouds part, and the three royals are illuminated by a sunbeam.

For as long as he could remember, he was told that one day he will be a king. That it's his destiny to help avenge a lion that he doesn't quite remember but is also dead.

Since he could remember, he, his half-sister, Shabaha, and his cousin hearing his mother and aunt constantly talk about how great his grandfather and his successor was but a evil lion came and killed him in cold blood.

He, Shabaha and Vitani are supposed to grow up and kill the old king's murderer. That was his life for the past months, a part of training that his mother and aunt had him, his sister and Vitani be a part of. Which at the moment he was hunting a dung beetle.

He caught it and grinned when he saw the bug between his tan colored paws. He opened his paws to let the insect go to feel a sharp pain in his side. Which caused him to slide against the dusty Outlands ground.

"Kovu! You're supposed to kill it!" his aunt growled, her dark red eyes burning into his own green eyes.

Kovu tucked his paws under him and looked up with teary eyes, more from the pain. He could never show that he's hurting it's a sign of weakness. "B-but it wasn't hurting anyone..."

The angry pale tan lioness growled. "Don't let it go. What's the matter with you!" Kovu flattened his black rimmed ears as his aunt circled him. "There is no room for weakness here. Remember... your grandfather had plans for you." Zira has moved close and pulled her nephew against her. Even though Kovu heard it a million times she still seemed doubtful.

"But I don't remember him. "

Zira shook her head and sneered. "Of course, you don't remember him. That brute tyrant in the Pridelands killed him... but your grandfather chose you to become the next King after him. When you rule the Pridelands, my dear nephew, we shall no longer be forced to live in these dry, barren, termite-infested Outlands!" she swats at the ground, spit flying as she snarled.

Kovu looks down, knowing it was best stay quiet when his aunt got into one of these moods.

"Mother! Mother! Mother!"

Zira looked to the source to see a young brown lion with a tangled black mane and a tannish cub run over. They were speaking over one another, trying to get the first word in.

Nuka sat with his head raised. "We were there- in the Pride Lands. We saw the royal family!"

After catching her breath the tannish cub with a tannish tuft on her head added her half. "In the Pridelands. We saw them!"

Then they both reported to the Outlands leader. "We saw Uncle Jesús become a prince!"

Zira's eyes widened before she turned her attention on her daughter ignoring her son. "What? Vitani - what did you see?"

Vitani raised her head and reported what she and her brother seen. "There was a official ceremony to make Uncle Jesús, prince!"

Zira snarled. "You believe that! The Traitor!"

The young adult brown lion looked at his sister with dark red eyes. "Who's mother talking to?"

Vitani rolled her purplish eyes. "Shut up Nuka. Mother's talking to grandfather."

Nuka gasps before looking around. "Where? Where?"

A new voice caused the siblings and Kovu to look towards Hatari who was approaching, her grey eyes full of annoyance as she joined the group. "Scar's dead. That bastard killed him."

Zira snapped out of her state of mind and growled. "Yes! Because of Simba and my so-called sister... if not for them, my father would still be alive and king!"

A pale brown lioness sat on the side sadly watching everything happen. Athena knew when her sister, Hatari and Zira got into their ways someone usually gets hurt.

Athena sighed before standing and walked over to the group. "I think we should go for a hunt. Kovu and the others has been training all morning."

Zira sneered but knew that Athena was right. "Fine." she then turned her dark red eyes to the oldest there. "Nuka, watch your sister and cousins!"

Nuka nodded and watched as his mother stalk off with Hatari and Athena following. He sneered before walking off after Vitani ran off in the direction of four lioness cubs.

Leaving Kovu sitting in his spot Zira left him. The dark brown pre-teen was unsure of what to do until he realized the opportunity that was given to him.

Kovu was never let to wonder off. He, Vitani and Shabaha always wondered why but Kovu and Hatari's mother and Zira always latched out, so they stopped asking.

But now Kovu could explore what's outside the Outlands. Kovu looked around and seen Nuka talking with some of the young lionesses, without a another thought Kovu bolted the opposite direction his mother and aunts went.
