September 1, 1991
Despite the grandeur of Potter Manor, it had not been immune to the dangers of the wizarding world. However, with James' unwavering determination and the assistance of trusted allies, they had been able to rebuild the manor to its former glory.
As Daniel stepped through the magnificent doors of Potter Manor, a flood of cherished memories washed over him. He could still vividly recall the first time he had played Quidditch with his father in the sprawling gardens, the hours he had spent engrossed in learning from Dumbledore in the vast library, and the countless family dinners they had shared in the opulent dining room. Potter Manor was not just a house to him, but a cherished home.
A sense of warmth and comfort enveloped Daniel as he smiled, knowing that regardless of where his adventures took him, Potter Manor would always be there for him, a sanctuary in a world full of chaos. As they strolled through the house, Daniel couldn't help but feel a wave of nostalgia. He reminisced about the endless hours he had spent exploring every nook and cranny of the estate, uncovering secrets, and forging lifelong friendships. However, he saw that everything was just as he remembered it, a testament to the care and dedication that had gone into restoring the manor to its former glory.
"I'm going to missed this place," Daniel thought to himself, his heart swelling with fondness for the home that had sheltered him throughout his tumultuous life.
He could hardly contain himself as he prepared to leave the potter manor .
As they made their way back to the car, James and Sirius couldn't help but reminisce about their own time at Hogwarts. "I remember pulling some of the greatest pranks on the teachers," James said with a laugh.
Sirius nodded, a mischievous glint in his eye. "And don't forget about the students. I think we taught you a few things that could come in handy."
Daniel looked at them, a mixture of excitement and trepidation in his eyes. He had always enjoyed causing a bit of mischief, but he didn't want to get into too much trouble. "I remember the time we turned Professor McGonagall's office into a menagerie," James said with a laugh.
Sirius grinned. "Or the time we convinced Snape that his hair was on fire."
Lily, who had been quiet up until now, spoke up. "Now, boys, let's not put any troublesome ideas into Daniel's head. He's going to Hogwarts to learn, not to get into trouble, if you put these thoughts on his head then James you're going to sleep on the sofa for a week.
James and Sirius looked chagrined, realising that Lily was right. "Of course, Lily," James said, his tone contrite. "We just want Daniel to have a bit of fun, that's all."
Sirius nodded in agreement. "We know that Daniel is going to excel at Hogwarts, but a little bit of mischief never hurts anyone."
Daniel smiled, feeling a sense of comfort and belonging with his family. He knew that no matter what happened, they would always be there for him.
As they arrived at the station,They made their way to Platform 9 , where they were greeted by a flurry of activity. As he looked around at the bustling platform, he couldn't help but feel a sense of awe. Students were hugging their parents and saying their goodbyes, while others were already boarding the train.
"Are you nervous, Daniel?" Lily Potter turned around to look at her son. Her green eyes were full of concern, but Daniel could see the excitement in them too. "This is going to be such an adventure!"
"I'm not nervous," Daniel replied, although he was not lying. He was more like between nervous and excitement than he had ever been in his life. He had never been away from his parents for this long, and he had never been to Hogwarts before. He didn't know what to expect.Don't worry, Daniel," James Potter said, patting his son on the knee. "You're going to have the time of your life at Hogwarts. It's where we met, after all!"
Lily and James couldn't help but think about their eldest son. They knew that if he were still alive, he would have been right there with Daniel, saying goodbye to both his parents. They imagined him hugging both of them and promising to write a letter every week. They couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness at the thought of what could have been, but they also knew that they had to stay strong for Daniel's sake. They were determined to make sure that Daniel had the best possible start to his Hogwarts journey, and that he knew he was loved and supported every step of the way.
Rosier Family
The Rosier family had gathered at King's Cross Station to bid farewell to their son and nephew, Ethan, who was about to embark on his third year at Hogwarts. Ethan had previously studied at Durmstrang Institute, but due to the new law, he was forced to transfer to Hogwarts.
As they stood there, Mrs. Rosier hugged Ethan and said, "Oh, my dear, we are going to miss you so much. You know that you can always come back to us if you need anything."
Ethan smiled warmly, "Thank you, Aunt. I appreciate it."
Mr. Rosier pulled Ethan aside and spoke in hushed tones, "Remember, Ethan, we need to keep our true beliefs hidden at Hogwarts. We don't want to attract any unwanted attention."
Ethan nodded, "Of course, Uncle. I'll be discreet."
Lucas, who was now in his sixth year at Hogwarts, nudged Ethan playfully and said, "You're in for a wild ride, Ethan. Hogwarts is nothing like Durmstrang."
Ethan grinned, "I'm up for the challenge. Plus, I heard that Hogwarts has some interesting secrets waiting to be uncovered."
Mrs. Rosier looked at Ethan with concern, "Just be careful, Ethan. Hogwarts can be dangerous, especially with all the rumours about He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named."
Ethan smiled reassuringly, "Don't worry, Aunt. I'll be safe. I have my own ways of handling things."
Mrs. Rosier's gaze flickered with concern as she fixed her eyes on Lucas. "Please take good care of Ethan, dear. You are four years older than him, and it's your responsibility to watch over him."
Lucas smiled reassuringly, "Don't worry, Mom. Ethan is more than capable of taking care of himself. In fact, he can even give me a run for my money when it comes to charm and the defence against the Dark Arts. He's stronger than most of my peers."
However, Mrs. Rosier couldn't shake off her worry, "I know how powerful you are, but as your aunt, I can't help but be concerned about you my dear. Your parents have entrusted us to take good care of him, even though they know that the Rosier house was once a part of the Dark Lord's inner circle. I'm just glad that everything is fine now."
Lucas nodded solemnly, understanding the gravity of the situation. He knew that their family's past had cast a long shadow over their present, and he was determined to do everything in his power to protect Ethan from the dangers that lurked in the shadows.
As he watched his aunt walk away, Lucas couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding. He knew that their family's past had made them a target for those who sought to exploit their connections to the Dark Lord. But he also knew that he had the strength and the courage to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
With a steely resolve, Lucas turned his attention to Ethan and vowed to keep him safe from harm, no matter what. For in the world of magic and mayhem, where dark forces vied for power and control, there was nothing more important than family and the bonds that held them together.
Mr. Rosier watched this whole situation like a hawk.
He felt a sense of pride swell within him as he saw the way Lucas carried himself, his head held high with an air of confidence that spoke of his strength and cunning.
For Mr. Rosier was a true Slytherin at heart, and he knew that his son had inherited his family's legacy of ambition, determination, and loyalty. He had once been a part of the Dark Lord's inner circle, but now he starts a new life and adores his family more than anything.
Mr. Rosier couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. For he knew that his family's future was in good hands, that Lucas would always be there to protect them and to uphold the proud legacy of their family, Mr. Rosier knew that it was not about the mistakes that they had made in the past, but about the choices that they made in the present. And he was glad that his son had chosen to embrace his Slytherin heritage, to use his strength and cunning to protect his loved ones.
Mr. Rosier gave Ethan a stern look, "Remember, Ethan, we are purebloods. We have a certain reputation to uphold. Don't do anything that might tarnish our family's name."
Ethan's smile faded slightly, "Don't worry, Uncle. I know my place.
As they exchanged their final farewells, Ethan's gaze drifted towards the Potters, whose embrace of their son Daniel emanated an unmistakable aura of affection and warmth. He couldn't help but feel a tinge of envy at the sight of their familial bond, a sentiment that stemmed from a lifetime of being an outsider and never truly experiencing the love of a family. In a fleeting moment of introspection, he wondered if the Potters would have treated him with such tenderness if they knew that their eldest son was still alive and that Ethan had been living a lie for all these years. But he quickly dispelled those thoughts as pointless conjecture and refocused on his mission. With a deep breath, he banished the ache of longing from his heart and reaffirmed his resolute determination to see his goals through, no matter the cost.
With a heavy heart, Ethan bid his family farewell and made his way to the Hogwarts Express with his cousin. Ethan and Lucas made their way through the crowded platform, dodging trolleys and families who were rushing to board the train. Ethan's heart was heavy with a mix of excitement and apprehension about what awaited him at Hogwarts.
Lucas clapped Ethan on the back. "Don't worry, Ethan. Hogwarts might be different from Durmstrang, but you'll love it here. Plus, I'll show you around and introduce you to some of my friends."
Ethan managed a small smile. "Thanks, Lucas. I appreciate it. I'm looking forward to seeing what Hogwarts has to offer."
As they boarded the train, Ethan couldn't help but notice the stark contrast between the Hogwarts Express and the Durmstrang ship. The Hogwarts Express was brightly lit, with warm and welcoming compartments, whereas the Durmstrang ship was dimly lit and had a cold and foreboding atmosphere.
As they made their way through the train, Lucas suddenly stopped and turned to Ethan. "Hey, I see some of my friends up ahead. Do you want to come meet them?"
Ethan nodded. He was excited to make new connections and establish himself as a force to be reckoned with.
As they approached the group of students, Lucas called out to them. "Hey guys, how's it going?"
One of the students, a tall and muscular boy with blonde hair, turned around and grinned. "Lucas! Long time no see, man. Who's your friend?"
Lucas gestured towards Ethan. "This is my cousin, Ethan. He's starting his third year at Hogwarts this year."
The boy smiled and held out his hand. "I'm Marcus. Nice to meet you, Ethan. But I never saw you in Hogwarts."
Lucas asked, "Don't you know the new ICW law?"
Markus said, "Oh yeah, I just remembered. By the way, where did he complete his first two years?"
Lucas said, "Durmstrang Institute, dude." He smirked.
Markus said, "Really? Then he must be sorted into Slytherin because Durmstrang is known for dark arts."
Lucas said, "Don't make it sound like other houses are not worthy."
Ethan shook Markus' hand confidently, letting his presence be known. As Markus introduced him to the rest of the group, Ethan took note of their reactions. Some of them were intimidated by him, while others seemed intrigued.
There was a girl with curly brown hair named Sophia, who had a sharp wit and a fierce determination. There was also a quiet, studious-looking boy named Thomas, who had a calculating gaze and a sharp mind. He could sense that they all had their own agendas, their own goals to achieve. But he knew he could work with them, use them to further his own ambitions.
Lucas smiled at his brother, proud of how well he was fitting in with his new friends. "Hey Ethan, I'm going to go catch up with some of the guys from my year. You want to come with me, or do you want to hang out with Marcus and the others?"
Ethan looked at Lucas and then glanced back at the group of students. He could see the potential in Marcus and his friends, but he also knew that sticking with his cousin could prove to be more advantageous in the long run.
"I think I'll come with you, Lucas," Ethan said, flashing a charming smile at Marcus and the others. "But it was nice meeting you all. Maybe we'll cross paths again sometime."
As they walked away, Ethan couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement building within him. He was ready to take on whatever challenges Hogwarts had in store for him, and with Lucas by his side, he knew he could conquer anything.
As they rounded a corner, Lucas turned to Ethan. "So, what do you think of my friends?"
Ethan thought for a moment before answering. "They seem like they have potential, but we'll have to see how things play out. We can't be too trusting of anyone, especially in Slytherin."
Lucas nodded, his expression serious. "You're right. We need to be careful who we align ourselves with, but at the same time, we can't close ourselves off completely. We need allies if we're going to make a name for ourselves at Hogwarts and for your own ambition.
Ethan smirked, feeling a rush of adrenaline. "Oh, don't worry, Lucas. I plan on making a name for myself, and no one is going to stand in my way."
As Lucas and Ethan made their way through the Hogwarts Express, Ethan couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. He was glad to have Lucas by his side, but he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched.
"Are you alright, Ethan?" Lucas asked, noticing his friend's unease.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Ethan replied, forcing a smile. "Just a little nervous, I guess."
Lucas raised an eyebrow, "Nervous? You? You're not usually the nervous type."
Ethan chuckled, "I suppose not. But this is all so new to me. I don't know what to expect."
"Don't worry," Lucas said, patting him on the back. "You'll get used to it. And if you ever need anything, just let me know."
Ethan nodded, grateful for his friend's offer. But there was something else on his mind.
"Actually, Lucas, do you mind if I go see some of my Durmstrang classmates? Some of them are studying here at Hogwarts now, and I want to catch up with them."
Lucas frowned slightly, "Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean, you just got here. You should be making new friends, not hanging out with your old ones."
Ethan felt a twinge of annoyance at Lucas's words. He knew that the Slytherin was trying to look out for him, but he couldn't help feeling like Lucas was trying to control him.
"I appreciate your concern, Lucas," Ethan said, his tone cold. "But I can make my own decisions. And if I want to see my friends, I will."
Lucas raised his hands in surrender, "Alright, alright. I didn't mean to offend you. Go see your friends, then. But be careful, okay? You don't know who's watching."
Ethan nodded, grateful for Lucas's warning. But he couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Lucas's words than just concern for his safety.
As he made his way through the Hogwarts Express, Ethan felt a sense of relief wash over him. He was glad to be away from Lucas's watchful gaze and free to do as he pleased. Ethan had always been a solitary individual, keeping his thoughts and feelings closely guarded from others. He had never seen the appeal of forming close bonds with anyone, believing that such connections would only weaken him when faced with serious challenges.
Despite his reservations, Ethan welcomed Eddie and Emma into his close space, recognizing that their presence brought a sense of comfort and security that he had never experienced before. However, Ethan was still far behind in understanding what true friendship meant. He saw his relationship with them as a comradeship, a bond forged through shared experiences and a common goal, rather than an emotional connection based on mutual trust and respect.
As Ethan entered the compartment and saw his two old friends, Eddie and Emma, waiting for him, he felt a mix of emotions. On one hand, he was glad to see them and smiled in greeting. On the other hand, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of discomfort, knowing that he didn't really understand the concept of friendship like they did..Upon entering the compartment, there are only two of them. They are the only close friends he has ever had, this is because they care for him more than he know.
Eddie was curled up in a corner, his eyes closed as he slept. He looked thinner than Ethan remembered, with dark circles under his eyes that suggested he hadn't been sleeping well. Emma, on the other hand, looked like she had just woken up from a nightmare, with her hair dishevelled and her eyes wide with fear.
"Eddie, Emma," Ethan said, a smile spreading across his face. "It's so good to see you both again."
Emma's face broke into a smile, but Eddie remained asleep, snoring softly. Ethan felt a pang of concern for both. Eddie had always been the sensitive one of the group, prone to bouts of anxiety and depression. Ethan wondered if he was okay,
"Is everything okay with Eddie?" Ethan asked, gesturing to his sleeping friend.
Emma's smile faded. "He's been struggling lately," she admitted. " You know everything Ethan, yesterday was rough for him. Don't worry about him, he just need some time to recover."Ethan tried to push away his worries, reminding himself that he was supposed to be the protector of the group, but he couldn't help the internal conflict that arose.
Ethan felt a surge of concern for his friend. "Is there anything I can do to help?" he asked.Ethan felt a sense of helplessness.
Emma shook her head. "Just give him sometime tomorrow he will be back to normal"
Ethan nodded. He didn't even fully understand what friendship meant, let alone how to be a good friend.
"We'll figure something out," Ethan said, trying to sound confident. "I have to make his potion stronger than before and without me he suffer hell yeasterday."
Despite this, Ethan couldn't deny the comfort he felt being around his old friends. He had always been a lone wolf, preferring to keep his distance from others, but there was something about Eddie and Emma that made him want to open up. He tried to push these feelings away, knowing that vulnerability could lead to weakness, but deep down he couldn't deny the warmth he felt from their presence.
Emma smiled weakly, but Ethan could tell that she was worried. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong, Emma's nightmare only added to his growing sense of unease. Emma doesn't tell about her nightmare. But he didn't know how to find out what it was, or how to help.
Screen change back to potter's family
As Daniel said goodbye to his parents at King's Cross station, he noticed a group of red-haired people coming towards them. It was the Weasley family. Daniel knew them from the vists of Ron and twin to the Potter Manor, where Ron, George, and Fred often came to play Quidditch with him.
"Daniel, this is the Weasley family," James said, introducing Daniel to the group.
"Hello, Daniel!" Mrs. Weasley said warmly. "We've heard so much about you from Ron."
"It's nice to meet you all," Daniel said, smiling.
"We're so excited to have Ron and Daniel going to Hogwarts this year," Mr. Weasley said, beaming with pride.
"I remember when James and I went to Hogwarts," Sirius said, looking back on his own school days.
"It feels like yesterday," James said, shaking his head in disbelief.
"Arthur, you'll be happy to know that Daniel is quite the Quidditch player," James said, nudging Daniel.
"I'm not surprised," Arthur said, smiling. "Ron and his brothers have been raving about Daniel's skills."
"We're all so proud of you, Daniel," Mrs. Weasley said, her eyes sparkling with pride. "You've overcome so much and still managed to be such a kind and brave young man."
"Thank you, Mrs. Weasley," Daniel said, feeling a bit embarrassed but touched by her words.
"Daniel, if you ever need anything, don't hesitate to ask us," Mr. Weasley said, patting Daniel on the back.
"Thank you, Mr. Weasley," Daniel said, feeling grateful to have such kind and supportive friends.
As the train whistle sounded, signalling the departure, the Weasley family and Potters said their goodbyes.
"See you at Christmas, Daniel!" Lily said, waving from the platform.
"Good luck, Daniel!" James and sirius shouted in unison, their faces beaming with excitement.
As the train pulled out of the station, Daniel settled back in his seat, feeling a mixture of nerves and excitement. He was going to Hogwarts, the place where his parents had met and fallen in love. It was a place of magic and wonder, a place where he would learn spells, fly on broomsticks, and make new friends.
As he gazed out the window, lost in thought, he heard a voice behind him.
"Hey, Daniel," Ron said, sliding into the seat beside him. "Are you excited?"
"I'm a bit nervous, to be honest," Daniel admitted.
"Don't be," Ron said, patting Daniel on the back. "Hogwarts is amazing. You'll love it."
"I hope so," Daniel said, smiling.
"And you'll have my brothers to show you around," Ron said, grinning.
"I'm looking forward to it," Daniel said, feeling grateful to have Ron as a friend.
As the train chugged along, Daniel chatted with Ron and the other students, feeling more and more at ease. They talked about Quidditch, magic spells, and what they hoped to learn at Hogwarts.
"Yes," said Daniel, "but I can't remem"Nothing?" said Ron eagerly. "Well -- I remember a lot of green light, but nothing else." "Wow," said Ron.
"Tell me about your family Ron" said Daniel
For some reason, he was looking gloomy. "I'm the sixth in our family to go to Hogwarts. You could say I've got a lot to live up to. Bill and Charlie have already left -- Bill was head boy and Charlie was captain of Quidditch. Now Percy's a prefect. Fred and George mess around a lot, but they still get really good marks and everyone thinks they're really funny. Everyone expects me to do as well as the others, but if I do, it's no big deal, because they did it first. You never get anything new, either, with five brothers. I've got Bill's old robes, Charlie's old wand, and Percy's old rat."
Ron reached inside his jacket and pulled out a fat gray rat, which was asleep. "His name's Scabbers and he's useless, he hardly ever wakes up. Percy got an owl from my dad for being made a prefect, but they couldn't aff -- I mean, I got Scabbers instead." Ron's ears went pink. He seemed to think he'd said too much, because he went back to staring out of the window
While they had been talking, the train had carried them out of London. Now they were speeding past fields full of cows and sheep. They were quiet for a time, watching the fields and lanes flick past. Around half past twelve there was a great clattering outside in the corridor and a smiling, dimpled woman slid back their door and said, "Anything off the cart, dears?"
Daniel lept to his feet to buy some sweet from dimpled women, but Ron's ears went pink again and he muttered that he'd brought sandwiches. Daniel went out into the corridor.
" Here, take anything you want," said Daniel.
Ron had taken out a lumpy package and unwrapped it. There were four sandwiches inside. He pulled one of them apart and said, "She always forgets I don't like corned beef." "Swap you for one of these," said Daniel, holding up a pasty. "Go on --" "You don't want this, it's all dry," said Ron. "She hasn't got much time," he added quickly, "you know, with five of us." "Go on, have a pasty," said Daniel. It was a nice feeling, sitting there with Ron, eating their way through all Daniel's pasties, cakes, and candies.
As Daniel and Ron chatted excitedly about Hogwarts, they suddenly heard a voice behind them. "Excuse me, do you mind if I sit here?" It was a girl with bushy brown hair, carrying a large pile of books. It was Hermione Granger, a fellow first-year student.
"Of course not," Daniel said, moving over to make room for her. "I'm Daniel, and this is Ron."
"I'm Hermione Granger," she said, smiling at them. "I've heard so much about you. You're famous, you know."
"Ohh" murmur Daniel
"Of course," Hermione said. "You defeated You-Know-Who. Everyone knows who you are."
"I don't even remember it ," Daniel said.
"Still, you're a hero," Hermione said, admiringly.
Ron rolled his eyes. "Oh, here we go again. Another fan."
Hermione turned to Ron. "I'm not a fan, I'm just stating the obvious. You should be proud of your friend, Ron."
Ron looked embarrassed. "Yeah, I guess you're right."
As they chatted, another first-year student approached them. It was Neville Longbottom, a shy boy with chubby health.
"Hi, Neville," Daniel said, smiling at him. "How's it going?"
"Oh, hi Daniel," Neville said, looking relieved to see a friendly face. "I'm a bit nervous about the first year hogwarts."
"Don't worry, Neville," Hermione said, reassuringly. "You'll do just fine. Just study hard and pay attention in class."
"Yeah, and if you need any help, just ask me or Daniel," Ron said, grinning.
"Thanks," Neville said, smiling back at them.
Back to Ethan and his friends
Ethan settled into the compartment with Emma, keeping an eye on Eddie as he slept. He tried to engage Emma in conversation, but she seemed distracted and distant.
After sitting quietly for a few moments, Emma looked up at Ethan and hesitated before speaking up. "Hey, did you receive a letter from V.R?" she asked, her voice low.
Ethan nodded. "Yes, I got a letter from them yesterday," he replied
Emma seemed relieved to hear this. "Good. I was worried that something had happened to them." she replied
Ethan couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt at Emma's words. He knew that V.R was a controversial figure in the wizarding world, but he couldn't bring himself to see them as a threat. After all, they are the one who gave him everything, trained him in the ways of magic.
Don't worry, Emma. Both of them were fine," Ethan reassured her. "In fact, they are doing quite well."
Emma nodded, seeming to accept his words. "That's good to hear," she said.
Did they say something which is important for the future? Asked emma.
Ethan describes everything to Emma.
As Emma sat across from Ethan, her mind couldn't help but race with the information he had just shared with her. He had warned her about the manipulative and dangerous nature of Dumbledore, and the loyal Death Eater Severus Snape who was working closely with him. Emma knew that they needed to be on guard around Hogwarts, as more than half of the students and all the staff were loyal to Dumbledore. She understood the importance of keeping up their Occlumency shields, especially when around Albus and Severus Snape, as they were both masters of Legilimency and wouldn't hesitate to use it on anyone they suspected.
Emma's thoughts were interrupted as Ethan spoke up again. "We need to be cautious and keep a low profile," he said. "We don't want to draw any unwanted attention to ourselves."
Emma nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. "But how do we know who to trust?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Ethan's expression grew serious. "We can't trust anyone completely," he said. "We have to be careful and watch our backs at all times."
Emma felt a shiver run down her spine at the thought of constantly being on guard, never knowing who to trust. But she knew that they had to do whatever it takes to survive in this dangerous world.
As they sat there in silence, Emma couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She had always believed in the goodness of people and the power of love and friendship, but now those beliefs were being shaken to their core. She knew that the road ahead would be difficult, but she was determined to face it head-on, with Ethan by her side.
Little did they know, the true danger was lurking just around the corner, waiting to strike when they least expected it. The battle between good and evil had only just begun, Emma, Ethan, Eddie and many more were about to find themselves in the midst of it all, fighting for their very lives.
