The Coworkers
Trigger Warning: Trying to solve a Murder Case
Petunia and Anthony, important members of the Royal Corona Corporation. They were not as important as the Sundrop herself, but were quite important just the same. While Petunia hadn't been a member long, Anthony had been there for quite a long time, since he was a teenager. Rapunzel and Cassandra would have to be working alongside them today.
"Miss Petunia." Rapunzel held her hand out and shook Petunia's hand.
"Sir Anthony." Rapunzel held her other hand out and shook Anthony's hand.
"Lady Rapunzel." Petunia and Anthony said simultaneously, then glanced at each other when they realized they did it and looked away awkwardly. "Okay, let's get down to business!" Rapunzel clapped her hands together. The important sundrop business wasn't to defeat the huns, but to figure out who the murderer wandering around the City of Corona was.
"Cassandra here has written down a list of locations we'll need to be going if we want to try and find Jack..." Rapunzel pulled out the list and held it up, pointing at it. "First, we'll be heading to The Snuggly Duckling, a pub known to have many criminals. If that doesn't sound like somewhere that someone who's killed a person visits, I don't know where is."
"Next, we'll be heading to Feldspar's Cobbler Shop, according to the newspapers, the shoe footprints were quite nice and well-made, and what better place to check than a Cobbler Shop?" "Then finally, tomorrow night, we'll be heading to Trevor of Equis' Ball. Located in the Seal Ballroom. It's quite a popular event and we might could catch Jack in the act if they're one of the people there. And..uh, there was something else, what was it Cass?"
Cassandra sighed and took the list gently out of Rapunzel's hand. "Trevor of Equis has also been known for a few crimes in his home Kingdom. I couldn't find any information on it with what I had, but it's rumored that some were quite major." Cassandra pointed at the paper.
Anthony tilted his hat, "Hm."
Petunia raised her brows, "Oh."
"So! Let's head off to the Snuggly Duckling!" Rapunzel ran off. Cassandra vigorously put down the list, shoving it into her pocket and then running after Rapunzel. "Raps! Careful!" She shouted, not wanting her to trip on anything while she ran...
The four of them checked out the Snuggly Duckling, while indeed criminals lingered there (and Cassandra arm-wrestled one of them), there was no sign of Jack anywhere, or any murderers for that matter. Most of the criminals there just beat up someone or stole something. While it was still illegal, it would have to be dealt with later as Jack was quite quick in their crimes...
The four of them checked out Feldspar's Cobbler Shop, asking for who he's sold to and for how much. It seemed no one that met the criteria of Jack had bought from Feldspar. After Rapunzel refused multiple pairs of shoes being offered, they headed off back to the townhouse to discuss... "So. Clearly, there's no sign of them any of those places." Rapunzel said, taking the cup of tea into her hands and cradling it in-between her fingers.
Anthony took a drink of his tea and then peered over to Rapunzel, "Well, we still got ourselves the Seal Ballroom. Our last location on the list." He said. Petunia agreed.
"We'll have to go undercover, we don't want to be recognized or else it could cause us even more trouble." Cassandra said, standing next to Rapunzel, who was sitting on the couch.
"Cass, hair?" Rapunzel asked again, still confused even if she did say she'd handle it.
"Raps, trust me. I've got this." Cassandra patted her shoulder.
"Undercover, huh? Sounds fun." Petunia snickered. Rapunzel agreed, "Yeah! We can wear funny disguises!" She said happily. "Funny disguises? Raps, this isn't a game." Cassandra sighed loudly. "S-Sorry Cass!" The sundrop nervously laughed at her.
"Tomorrow morning, a bit early. We'll prepare to set off to the Seal Ballroom and pay Trevor of Equis a little visit." Cassandra crossed her arms. Everyone agreed and Rapunzel even cheered. It was settled, tomorrow it would be...
