The Knife

Trigger Warning: Violence (Fighting), Brief mention of fast heartbeat/breathing, mention of murder, blood, wounds,

Cassandra swung at Anthony's coat, tearing the fabric of it. He turned back, startled. "Oh? Sundrop and her lady-in-waiting? Finally caught on, didn't you?" Anthony raised his brows.

Petunia fell to her knees and begged, "Please! I'm not involved! I know this looks bad, but he tricked me into-" She was interrupted by Anthony kicking her in the stomach. She let out a sharp gasp and wrapped her arms around her stomach, doubling over.

"Shut the hell up." Anthony hissed, and then looked at Cassandra, swinging the knife at her. Rapunzel was terrified, her heart was racing, her breathing was quick, she was shaking and the only thing she could say was squeaky noises that were trying to be words...

Cassandra countered it with her sword, her eyes widening, but brows furrowed. She seemed determined. "You're a terrible person, you know that?" She said darkly, "Not only that you steal, but you kill, lie and you made Petunia here do something she didn't agree to."

Anthony shrugged and pushed the sword back, his wrist hurting a bit from having to push so hard with a small knife, but ignoring it. "She'll get over it."

Petunia shook her head, raising her head, her arms still over her stomach.

Rapunzel backed away, back against the building wall, tears rolling down her face. Why couldn't it have been like the goat at Monty's Sweet Shop, Why couldn't it have been like the goat at Monty's Sweet Shop... Rapunzel closed her eyes tightly and covered her ears.

She didn't want to hear it, make it go away. Stop it, stop it, stopitstopitstopitstopitstopit!

Cassandra suddenly got struck with the knife across her cheek, blood forming and rolling down her face. Cassandra jumped and sliced at Anthony with her sword, which cut his eye. Anthony dropped the knife and stumbled back, taking mis-matched steps across the cobblestone, grasping at his now bleeding quite profusely eye.

Petunia shakily stood up and ran to a nearby crate, hiding behind it, not wanting to get involved. Meanwhile Rapunzel didn't know what to think of it. Her senses were on high alert, everything was loud and scaring her. She didn't want anyone to get hurt. Not anymore.

Cassandra kicked Anthony's chest and knocked him down to the ground. She placed her foot on his chest and pointed the sword at him. "Move once inch and I'll kill you, I swear to the sun, I will kill you!" Cassandra's voice cracked. Anthony smirked, blood running down his face. "Then that makes you as terrible as me, Lady-in-Waiting."

Cassandra raised her sword, but she couldn't.
He was right.

Cassandra glared and applied more pressure to Anthony's chest, lowering her sword. "Raps! Get the guards, quickly!" Cassandra shouted. There was no response. "Raps?" She looked.

She noticed how scared and panicked the sundrop was and frowned. "Petunia, get the guards." She looked to her. "M-Me?" Petunia was surprised. "Just hurry it up!" Cassandra snapped. Petunia scrambled to her feet and ran off, blood coating the bottoms of her shoes, leaving a trail of bloody footsteps out of the alleyway.

Anthony laughed, his voice raspy. "If you were fighting him, you'd be dead by now. Just like her." Anthony motioned his head to the lifeless woman. "Shut up, shut up." Cassandra growled, her eyes abnormally wide, glaring at him.
