Chapter 15
The Eye

Trigger Warning: Blood, Exposed Eye Wound, Eye Horror

Cassandra shakily fumbled around in the first-aid kit, pulling out a gauze and some bandage tape, along with some disinfectants and rags. "Hey, how are you doing?" Cassandra asked, kneeling down in-front of Rapunzel, who sat on the bed, her face stained with red. "Pain." Rapunzel said through her teeth.

Cassandra pressed a wet rag onto Rapunzel's eye to try and keep the bleeding at bay, while she opened a bottle of the disinfecting medication and poured it on a different rag that sat beside her, once she did that and closed the bottle, she moved the wet rag that was on Rapunzel's eye and placed the disinfecting rag on her eye. Rapunzel kicked her feet suddenly, "Ow that stings!" She shouted. "I'm sorry-" Cassandra kept the rag there for a while.

Then she took it off and began putting the gauze on there, securing it with the bandage tape.

Rapunzel looked back at Cassandra with a stare, one she had never did before. Cassandra had never seen this before. It was just a quiet, lost stare. Rapunzel wasn't okay.

Cassandra frowned, "I'm sorry Raps." She looked down, closing the box of medical supplies.

Rapunzel slowly brought her knees to her chest and slid a little further back onto the bed so she could wrap her arms around her knees, tears rolling down one eye. "I saw things I shouldn't have seen, Cass." "I know you have, Rapunzel... We both did." The lady-in-waiting comforted her. Cass was horrible at that, she thought, but she'd try anyway.

"Hey, listen... Didn't you say your hair had healing powers?" She raised a brow, "It might not let you unsee what you've seen, but...maybe it'll help your eye? I know you're probably in a lot of pain right now." Cassandra stroked Rapunzel's hair with her hands.

Rapunzel sniffled. "Yeah..I don't know though..." She rubbed her glassy eye.

"We can try." Cassandra shortly said.

Rapunzel pulled her hair around herself and then slowly placed it over the gauze. "I...have to sing a song, is that okay-" She asked. "Anything to ease your pain, Rapunzel."

Rapunzel sighed and then prepared herself...

"Flower Gleam and Glow,"
"Let your power shine,"
"Make the clock reverse,"
"Bring back what once was mine."

The hair slowly began to glow, something that Cassandra hadn't seen before.
It was beautiful, like a lantern in the sky.

"Heal what has been hurt,"
"Change the fate's design,"
"Save what has been lost,"
"Bring back what once was mine;"

"What once was mine..."

Suddenly, Rapunzel dropped her hair and then grasped at her eye once more, not in pain, at least, what Cassandra knew. "Raps? Raps?" Cassandra asked concerned.

Rapunzel took her hands off of it, the gauze had been burned through.
It did indeed heal her eye, but...

It had a Corona symbol in it.

"What the..." Cassandra stood up and took a step back.

"W-What?" Rapunzel asked, confused on what was going on.

Cassandra went to find a hand-mirror and then showed her. Rapunzel's eyes widened, both this time. "What the...h-hair?!" Rapunzel put her hand underneath her eye, looking at it closely in the mirror. This was definitely new.
