Chapter 16
The Castle
The two were back in Old Corona. Varian was pleased to greet them once more, "Lady Rapunzel! Cassie- Cass- Uh, Cassandra!" Varian ran up to them, a raccoon wrapped around his neck like a scarf, then he noticed Rapunzel's eye covered with an eye-patch. "Whoa, uh. Lady Rapunzel? What happened?" Varian flinched.
"She doesn't want to talk about it." Cassandra stepped up. "Also why do you have a raccoon around your neck like it's a piece of fashion." She glared.
"Oh. That raccoon I've been chasing and trying to get out of the garden? Well, I finally caught it. His name's Ruddiger. I named him and he's my friend now." Varian whispered the last part.
Cassandra slapped her own forehead. "Whatever."
"Look, I'm going to get Rapunzel back into the castle and unpack."
Varian nodded. "Okay."
Rapunzel and Cassandra headed off to inside the castle, heading down the hallways.
The case had been solved.
Everything was fine now.
At least...
Rapunzel hoped.
(Author's Note) Annnnnd that is the end of Arc 1 of The Sundrop Chronicles! I know this was probably a lot different than most of my other fanfictions, but I wanted to get creative and delve into more darker themes, while also including victorian elements. While Tangled is victorian, from my understanding, I wanted to make it more like Victorian Era England, or specifically; London.
I haven't wrote a long fanfiction for however many days straight in a long time and it was refreshing to do so. I hope to get another Arc released soon, especially if everyone likes this dark twist on Tangled's universe!
