Anya slowly stepped back from the man who has been her father for over the last decade, hiding her face in her long pink hair, not wishing to see any hurt nor betrayal in her parents eyes. Her heart beat began to ring loudly in her ears at this point, fearing the worst.

Loid and Yor looked at their daughter, in shock to say the least. Yor decided to walk over to her little family, wrapping her arms around Anya and Loid, nearly crushing them both. Anya felt the tears she had been withholding finally break through the dam as she returned the warming hug to her mother and father.

"We have had a suspension for a couple months now, Anya but it is still shocking to finally hear.." Yor spoke softly, still holding her crying teen.

Anya let her parents go, wiping her tears with her uniform sleeve before being handed a tissue from Becky, who decided to stay to support her best friend after her phone call with Damian.

Fidgeting in place, she wiggled out of her parents grasp looking bewildered at the floor for a moment, refusing to look at Loid and Yor. "A…are you going to send me back to the orphanage..?"

The two looked at the other then with a nod as they both held onto Anya's shoulders, giving a loving squeeze.

"No, sweetie, we aren't going to take you back. You're our daughter, even learning of your power will never change that, however, it would be a bit of a curve to get used to," Yor said with a wholehearted smile, Loid agreeing by giving her a rare form of affection, mostly to him, a tussle of her hair.

Tears once again filled green eyes, in disbelief, the young teen launched herself into their arms, returning the crushing hug she received earlier.

Becky, seemingly forgotten, stepped out once more to give them privacy as well to call her driver and parents to let them know where she was along with what happened and she would be home soon.

Anya, knowing how her parents truly felt about her and learning of her telepathic powers, couldn't really shake the feeling of dread enclosing her heart. Perhaps due to the past families leaving her back at the awful place after finding this out. For now, she put on her brave face and went along with it.

The nurse and doctor soon came into the room, giving a prescription along with a starter dose and a cup of water, after care instructions and discharge papers. Loid and Yor thanked them for taking care of their beloved daughter as Loid held the door open for the ladies, Yor giving Anya a little tap of encouragement, noticing how she seemed more weary about leaving the room and entering the white tiled facility.

Anya met up with Becky outside in the waiting room as she handed her best friend a little pack of her favorite peanut flavor. Thanking her, Becky's attention soon turned to the large windows as a set of headlights shone through with the familiar dark grey color of her family car. With a hug and a soft bonk on her head, Becky bid her friend good night.

Following the pair to their own vehicle, the pink haired teenager soon climbed into the backseat and put her seat belt on, it did not take long for her to fall asleep in the seat while on the way home.

A good twenty-five minutes of the nearly hour drive, mostly due to traffic of people going to and from work, Yor looked at her husband after checking up on Anya once more within the last ten minutes.

"Well, this is going to be difficult to get used to, did you have any idea on her power Loid?"

"No, I did not. I, sadly, didn't know anything.. I wonder if it has something to do with the cone shapes on her head?"

"I thought they were possibly just fancy hair pieces she found a long time ago and never wanted to take them off?"

The pair sat, deep in their own thoughts until they finally arrived home, the smell of a good rain storm in the air. Loid opened the door for Yor as well as Anya who was still sound asleep in the seat before giving the keys to the assassin. Yor went to unlock the door after grabbing Anya's school bag from its place in the trunk.

Loid unbuckled the seat belt while holding up Anya so she wouldn't fall onto the ground since she was leaning on the door frame slightly.

Picking her up like a princess, as he walked up their stone staircase to the main door and up the stairs to their apartment at the end of the hallway.

By the time the father and daughter pair made it over the threshold, Yor was feeding Bond his food along with a special snack of chicken that was saved the night before from Loid's cooking. She was never certain why no one ate hers most of the time.

Bond's ear flicked as he heard the door knob and pranced his way to it when he smelled the scent of his favorite person whom he missed so much, Anya, of course. Ignoring his food, which was new and surprising, he sat waiting for his other owners to come in. His fluffy body shook, his bow tie collar slightly jingling with his name tag.

Loid was in for a furry and drooling surprise when he walked in with a sleeping Anya. He put a finger to his lips to shush the beast, Bond seemingly understood and went to enjoy his meal before being slowed down by Yor before he got an upset stomach.

Don't misunderstand, he missed Loid and Yor also but he had a special bond formed with his favorite human, as most pets do. Since Anya hadn't been herself for a while, he knew something was bothering her, he just wasn't sure what to do to bring her smile back. For crying out loud, she wasn't watching her beloved Spy Wars anymore! Though, it was basically reruns at this point.

Both Yor and Loid went to Anya's room to tuck her in and make sure she was comfortable after her injuries and the stresses of being at the hospital. Later that night, even after being told "no" many times, Bond wasn't going to listen, he missed his best friend and managed to sneak into her room (they knowingly left the door open a little) to lay at the side of her bed, hoping she will be her normal, goofy and happy self soon.
