"It's okay Branchie, we're almost done then we can go home and warm up despite this awesome winter armour Rockie made for us which is helping, hey Uncle Zeke's on patrol too." Caseybsaid as she as Raccoon Girl with Branchie were on their usual all night patrol with Branchie tucked up in her winter armourwhich had a hood to keep her head warm.
"I am Groot, I am Groot." she heard the female-sapling say pointing to uncle Zele's police car, it was stuck in thecsnow even though he'd shovelled snow earlier going to help stunning Zelenskyy.
"We can't have an officer of the law stuck in the snow like this, and see you're helping out with the toy drive." she told him melting the snow around the tyres with laser blasts from her paws astounding Zeke knowing this cub was the one from the news.
"Do your folks know you're out here doing this, they must be worried." he told her.
"Not really, they're proud I'm helping when the president won't." she said flying off into the night sensing her voice was familar getting back into the car driving off.
"That was too close, uncle Zeke almost figured out I am Raccoon Girl, he'd freak if he knew wait a second, somebody's trying to steal from the toy drive, not cool, let's get em." she said flying off seeing the thief was in mech armour with rocket-boosters in the boots like Iron Man or Ironheart.
"Oh great Raccoon Girl, I don't have time for this." the thief said
"But you have time to steal from cubs, that voice is familiar, no way Roxy." Casey muttered.
She grabbed the bag but before Roxy could take it back, the cops including Zeke showed up, relieved things were calm as Casey told them what was happening but saw it was sunrise flying off going home changing into pyjamas but tired tucking herdelf and Branchie ijto the warm blanket which was welcoming, after being out in the cold hearing the door opening as Zeke walked in seeing they were asleep wondering why his nieces were so tired.
"She was probably up all night talking to Libby, it is the holidays after all, I'll save some Groot Morning Latkes for them." Rocket told him seeing Lylla frowning as her parents wanted her to spend Half-Mas Eve with them but she'd rather spend it with her sister or here with her chosen family as there was goijg to beca Hannukah party so was bust shopping forvgifts for her chosen family and her sister seeing Rocket smirk.
"You should ask her to marry you, you guys have been dating for a lomg time since you found each other again." Ranger said feeding Gaia bits of latkes making him chuckle making Rocket grin, sighing seeing Groot looking for batteries for his Game Boy but had gotten him a Switch for Hannukah along with art stuff.
"Maybe Ranger, but we're busy." he replied to him seeing Zeke smirk seeing Raccoon Girl on the news.
"She helped me out when my car's tyres were stuck in the snow." he told Rocket.
"She's awesome, but her family must be proud." Rocket said.
Casey along with Branchie began to stir around noon, but she flew downstairs with Branchie on her shoulder landing on her furry feet at the bottom of the staircase unaware Zeke had seen but scampering ijto the kitchen yawning heading to the fridge finding leftover Groot Morning latkes deciding to warm them up using her laser blasts to domit, until Branchie stopped her noticing Zeke.
"You're finally awake, let mehelp with that, as cubs shouldn't be using the stove." he told her.
"Ummmm, okay uncle, is everything alright." Casey asked him nodding asking her aboht Raccoon Girl hearing Caseybsay they were friends, seeing Branchie face or vine-palm at that, knowing Peter Parker one of Rocket's hest super pals pulledthat when people asked him, if he knew Spidey.
"Alright then, if anything's bothering you, you know you can tell me, as I know you and Rockie talk a lot." he told her coughing leaving the room.
"I am Groot." Branchie said to her as she squirted chocolate over her latkes.
"I know but it was better than telling the truth, he went outside to do that thing he can't do inside without setting the smoke-alarms off." Casey replied squirting hers with chocolate-syrup, whipped cream which looked like they were splatooned which was reminding her of Splatoon, that she played on her Switch making Branchie giggle.
