This is formatted in a different way from my other oneshots. Hope you like it!
I'm aware that Erina is very OOC in this, though.

Word Count: 1000 words
Pairings: implied Sōma x Erina
[Prompt by Allen Sanders]
Prompt: Getting fed one too many squid abominations (and a cry of agony from Megumi) has gotten Erina on a quest to pinpoint exactly where Soma got his penchant for the disgusting.
{The Journal}
Day 1:
After many days of relentless pursuing by an idiotic moron to eat his disgusting, horrible, and tasteless cooking, I have now decided to give up on reforming him. Oh, and did I mention that his cooking is absolutely disgusting?
Take this for instance. Today, that imbecile actually dared to come over and knock on my front door to see if I wanted to taste his, um...creations?
Did I want to? Of course not. But who am I to argue when I just want to spend more time with him.
As friends, obviously. Don't take this as anything more than that.
Sigh. Another uninteresting day.
Day 2:
Today is the final straw.
You have no idea about the madness this simpleton forces people to eat.
For example - a few hours ago.
The conversation went like this:
Me: Yukihira! You 'insert insult here', get away from me!
Him: Aw, Nakiri, just one taste...
Me: Never. I have suffered long enough.
Him: Oh well. Can't change your mind, Nakiri. But just so you know...
Me: Just what did you do, Yukihira!?
Megumi-san (nervously): Am I interrupting something here?
No, Megumi-san, you most certainly are not.
Anyway, what next occurred was Yukihira stuffing a spoon filled with grotesque squid inside Megumi-san's mouth, and consequently, some more painful screams.
Megumi-san: Erina-sama, save me!
Him: You're next, Nakiri.
Cue evil grin with occasional lighting flashes. (I suppose I might have been exaggerating a little.)
So, moral of the story: Never get within 5 km of Yukihira. Well... I hope.
Day 4:
It never occurred to me about where he got this all from. Where exactly did his love of horrible food start?
I don't think anyone can ever be sure, but I got Hisako to do some tracking for me.
Does it sound as if I'm a stalker?
Hisako assures me that it doesn't, so I went ahead and gave the order for people to track Yukihira while he comes home. And I guess I also installed a secret camera on his bike (or got some unsuspecting poor first-year to do so.) And maybe I got people to follow him at all times to report his location back to me. And perhaps I - I suppose you get it, the list is endless.
I'll wait for the results then. I hope I can finally stop Yukihira from being brainwashed.
Day 7:
Hisako has just brought me back the camera I just installed on his bike.
This is how the footage goes:
Yukihira: Hey, Megumi, how's it going?
He's on first name terms with her now!? He's not even using a honorific!
Megumi-san (stuttering): Hi, Sōma-kun. I didn't see you there. Let's go home together.
Yukihira: Sure, Megumi! Anyway, I've been wanting to say thanks for helping me with that project.
Megumi-san: No problem. But won't we get in trouble? I really don't think you were supposed to have help on that.
Yukihira: Oh yeah. I guess I shouldn't forget to do my homework when staying up all might cooking. But no-one knows about this, so relax.
Yes! Yukihira, I'm so going to use this as blackmail against you.
Megumi-san: Sōma-kun, what were you making all night?
Yukihira: Well, about that. I was busy making things for Nakiri since she's so hard to please.
Well, I'm flattered and horrified at the same time.
Megumi-san: Sōma-kun, I'm not sure how exactly to say this, but do you like Erina-sama?
I shut the tape off immediately. I'm not ready to hear his answer.
I shall have to run away now. Yukihira will be here in a few minutes to feed me something or other, and by that time I hope to be on the Nakiri Private Plane, safely away from his bizarre and inedible cuisine (to put it lightly.)
Day 10:
Oh dear.
It seems like Yukihira is in the hospital after one of the people I ordered to track him misunderstood the situation.
Sigh.
I'm not sorry that he's in the hospital, but there a massive amount of paperwork that he's left over. And it also seems as if his right arm isn't broken enough, because apparently he can still send some of his food over to my mansion. (If you can call it food, that is.)
Never mind then.
Sigh.
Day 15:
Hey, it's me, the esteemed Nakiri Alice. I've recently discovered Erina's diary (hehe) and now it's up to me to spill her secrets.
But Erina's soooo boring. All she does is think up of more creative insults for Sōma-kun, and not to mention that she's been pining after him all week.
I have not!
Sorry for that interruption. That was no-one, just forget it. Anyway, I have not been pining after anyone! Just distracted.
So, where was I?
These few days I'm just curious to know where exactly Yukihira has got his love of cooking (horrible or otherwise) from. Maybe it's from his parents?
I still fondly recall the day that I met Saiba-sama.
Not like Yukihira could ever know someone like him, though. That boy does not know how to enter high society at all.
Day 33:
Yukihira's out of the hospital!
Wait - I didn't mean to write an exclamation mark. I'm just happy that he's there to do the paperwork, that's all. Nothing more, nothing less.
Basically, the idiot decided to throw a party just because of that.
What kind of a person throws a party just because they had a broken arm. And a broken ankle. And a broken nose. And a - maybe the people I hired were too hard on him.
But how much pain could he be in from these minor fractures? Not much, that's for sure.
So now I have an invite to go to his 'gulp' diner next week. I don't have time for that. I don't think so?
Perhaps I'll tell Hisako to place it on my schedule...
Day 39:
I'm in a dilemma.
What do I wear? Yukihira's party is tomorrow and I have no clue.
Do I wear this bracelet or that necklace?
Was it supposed to be formal or casual?
Yukihira didn't specify the dress code?!
Sigh.
Hisako will sort it out.
Day 40:
Hisako has notified me that I've just fainted.
Here's what happened, it's simple.
I walked outside the Yukihira diner's doorstep, which I had graciously decided to honour with my presence.
Then I took a deep breath, and stepped inside, to see -
Me: Saiba-sama!?
Yukihira: Hey Nakiri! This is my dad. He's the one who got me into cooking, I guess.
Me: ...
Yukihira: And I told him how much you liked my cooked squid! He knows how to make it in 20 different ways!
The ambulance arrived ten minutes later.
I liked writing this and again, I know Erina might have been a bit too OOC.
However, I won't be writing for a few weeks because of my exams, but you can still send in some prompts by PM or review.
Please do review as it makes my day and I will (probably) be motivated to write faster, but as long as you enjoy this, that's all that matters to me.
Have a nice few weeks!
