CHAPTER SEVENTEEN: BATTLE OF THE DRAGON SLAYERS
"Lucy!" Natsu and Gray shouted in unison as they rushed towards the water sphere. Minerva releases Lucy from her hold, but luckily, both Gray and Natsu caught her on time before she hit the ground.
"Are you okay?! Hang in there!" Gray said, holding onto Lucy.
"How could you do this to her, you witch?!" Natsu shouted at Minerva in anger.
"Get the Celestial Spirit Wizard to the infirmary immediately!" Arcadios ordered.
"No! I'll give her emergency treatment first!" Wendy said.
"I'll help you!" Sherria stated.
"Lucy, hang in there!" Juvia called out.
Erza rushed towards Lucy's side as she glared at Minerva in anger, who was sliding down the water sphere. She landed in front of the Fairy Tail members.
"What are you staring at?" Minerva asked.
"Lucy-san!" Wendy exclaimed as a pale light appeared from her hands.
"She's terribly wounded, but if we do it together..." Sherria trailed off as she aided Wendy in healing Lucy.
"I asked you, what are you looking at? I acted within the rules of the competition." Minerva stated.
"Rules, you say? You mean torturing an opponent who's already lost?" Erza asked as Minerva chuckled.
"The crowd ate it up, didn't they?" Minerva countered as Erza gave her a stern look. "Lucy should be grateful. I let her be in second place. Even though the girl is a useless piece of garbage..."
"What?!" Natsu exclaimed.
Suddenly, Sting, Rufus, and Orga were in front of Minerva. Gray was staring at Rufus. "Uh-oh! What's this?! Are both teams about to rumble?!" Chapati questioned, exciting the crowd.
"They're gonna start somethin' here?!"
"Sabertooth versus Fairy Tail!"
"We need to keep things calm here." Yajima said.
"But the crowd loves it! Thank you very much!" Rabian commented.
"This is one of those unavoidable fate things, y'know?" Lector said.
"Fro thinks so, too..." Frosch agreed.
"This isn't an official match. If they really do this, we'll go out there, too." Lily claimed.
"Aye, sir!" Happy agreed.
"Calm down, for crying out loud!" Carla scolded.
"Wild..." Bacchus started to say.
"...Four!" His guildmates finished.
"Things are getting pretty lively around here-kabo..." Mato said, stepping back.
"What should we do?" Cana asked.
"Lucy..." Mira muttered.
"Men..." Ichiya commented.
Fairy Tail and Sabertooth stared at one another while the crowd chanted 'Fight!' over and over while Wendy and Sherria continued healing Lucy. Sting stepped forward as Natsu did as well but Erza extended her hand out to him.
"I don't care if you're the strongest or number one in Fiore, I'll just tell you one thing. You people..." Erza had a dark look on her face. "...have made an enemy out of the one guild you don't want to anger."
"The Fairy Tail team has finished its reorganization, and we're about to begin the battle part of day four! Continuing with the commentary, we have with us former Council member Yajima-san." Chapati said.
"Thank you." Yajima nodded.
"And our special guest today is Rabian-san, the leader of the Scheherazade Theatrical Troupe."
"It's an honor. Thank you very much." Rabian said.
"The battle part for the fourth day are tag-team matches, right?" Yajima asked.
"Two against two? I can't wait!" Rabian replied. "Thank you very much!"
"Alright, I will now announce the match-ups for the battles! Everyone, please direct your eyes to Lacrima-Vision! The first match is Blue Pegasus versus Quatro Cerberus! The second match is Mermaid Heel versus Lamia Scale! The third match is Sabertooth versus Fairy Tail!" Chapati announced as the audience cheered.
"And now, here comes the new Fairy Tail team!"
A silhouette of Natsu appeared.
"Good luck, everyone." Lucy wished her guildmates good luck.
A silhouette of Gray appeared next, followed by Erza.
"This really is the strongest team, right?" Mira asked.
A silhouette of Gajeel appeared.
"I'll be cheering you on!" Wendy encouraged.
"Do your best!" Carla added.
Lastly, a silhouette of Laxus appeared.
"This is an awesome team!" Cana commented.
"I can't even picture these members failing." Juvia added as Droy was eating a hamburger.
"The thoughts of our guild have become one. We're entrusting this feeling to the gods!" Makarov claimed.
"Now is the time to show them all the power of our bond!" Mavis said.
The audience cheered loudly. "The whole arena is shaking! Right here and now... Fairy Tail is taking the field!" Chapati announced.
"As you might expect, everyone's waiting for Fairy Tail versus Sabertooth, who were nearly about to brawl." Chapati stated.
"I didn't know what was going to happen then." Yajima said.
"It certainly was a heated moment. Thank you very much." Rabian commented as the audience cheered.
Fairy Tail and Sabertooth stared at one another. "I'm fired up." Natsu said.
"Alright, the first tag-team battle! From Blue Pegasus, Ichiya and Rabbit!" Chapati announced as the two appeared on screen. "Versus Bacchus and Rocker from Quatro Cerberus!"
The two teams stepped forward and stared at each other. "Wild..." Rocker began.
"...Four!"
"Bacchus-san, let's get wild with these guys. At the rate we're goin'..." Rocker started to say.
"What? My soul is quivering. That's enough." Bacchus claimed as his eyes then widened.
"Well?" Ichiya said as him and Rabbit extended their hands out, in which Bacchus and Rocker shook them.
"O-Oh, my! This is beautiful... Opponents shaking hands before what's sure to be a fierce battle!" Chapati announced as Ichiya and Rabbit were walking away.
"Too beautiful for words! Thank you very much!" Rabian thanked.
"The rabbit and I are gonna...?" Rocker trailed off in confusion.
"His hand smells kinda good-four..." Bacchus commented.
"At last, the time has come to unleash you." Ichiya claimed.
"The rabbit!" Lily exclaimed.
"We'll find out who it really is!" Happy said.
Rabbit reached for its head suit. "We don't even know who the rabbit is..." Ren commented as Hibiki and Jenny were kissing. "Who could it be..."
Ren turned around in irritation. "What the hell are you two doing?!" He exclaimed.
"Please pay attention to Ichiya-san's match!" Eve added.
"Go ahead and show them... that handsome face!" Ichiya announced.
Rabbit was revealed to be Nichiya as everyone looked in shock. "He's..." Natsu started to say.
"...Extalia's..." Gray continued.
"Double Handsome Attack!" Ichiya and Nichiya spoke in unison.
"No way!"
"Gross!"
"Nichiya?!" Lily exclaimed.
"This is a dangerous..." Ichiya started to say.
"...parfum!" Nichiya finished as everyone was not amused.
"There are..." Erza started to say. "...two Ichiyas?!"
Erza fainted as Gajeel caught her. "Pull yourself together!" He said.
"That's not wild at all!" Rocker shouted. "In the first place, you're disqualified if somebody outside of Blue Pegasus participates!"
Ichiya chuckled. "Look!" He said as Nichiya revealed the Blue Pegasus emblem on his back.
"Before the Grand Magic Games began, Nichiya-chan became a full-fledged member of our guild! With looks like that, he's plenty qualified to be one of us!" Bob exclaimed.
"But how did Nichiya end up joining Blue Pegasus?" Happy asked.
Ichiya and Nichiya both explained how they crossed paths as Bacchus charged forward, punching Nichiya away.
"What did you do?!" Ichiya exclaimed.
"Men!" Nichiya shouted.
"Ichiya-san! Can he even fight?!" Ren shouted.
"Naturally! He's got the same face as me! In other words... he's got the same fighting strength!" Ichiya said.
However, Nichiya was knocked out. "Looks to me like he's dead!" Ren shouted in irritation.
Ichiya began sweating. "It can't be!" He exclaimed.
"Four... Time to stop messin' around..." Bacchus claimed.
"For us, it's now or never, so we're gonna win this." Rocker said.
"Suddenly the revealed identity of the bunny is down!" Chapati stated.
"That makes it two against one." Yajima said.
"Game over, then?" Rabian asked. "Thank you very much!"
Bacchus and Rocker closed in on Ichiya. "Hold on, you two!" He said.
"Drilling rock for you!" Rocker shouted, attacking Ichiya.
"Drunken Cleaving Hook Palm, Under the Moon!" Bacchus attacked Ichiya as well, sending him flying.
"Ichiya..." Nichiya muttered.
"Nichi... ya..." Ichiya mumbled.
"It's gonna be over now!"
"Eat this!"
Bacchus and Rocker charged forward as Rocker punched Ichiya. Both Bacchus and Rocker attacked Ichiya, who collapsed to the ground.
"Oh, boy! Is this the end of the match?! First the cat in the bunny suit, now Blue Pegasus's Ichiya is down!" Chapati said.
"Wild..."
"...Four!"
Ichiya was standing back up. "Wait, not yet! It looks like Ichiya of Blue Pegasus is going to stand up!" Chapati said as Ichiya began to glow golden and gained muscle.
"H-How'd he suddenly turn wild...?" Bacchus asked.
"That's the power of parfum!" Rocker stated.
"I dedicate this to you... The parfum called victory!" Ichiya shouted.
"Ichiya-san?!"
Both Bacchus and Rocker charged forward again. "Take this! It's my... Beautiful Dreamer!" Ichiya shouted. "Smile! Smash!"
Ichiya punched Bacchus and Rocker as they both crashed into the arena wall.
"Down! Quatro Cerberus is down! The winner is Blue Pegasus!"
"Men!"
"Against Bacchus..." Erza muttered.
"He won, two against one..." Gajeel said.
"It looks like he's not just an idiot." Gray commented.
"Nah, he's awesome!" Natsu added.
"Wow, what a great match, huh?" Chapati asked.
"I-I suppose...?" Yajima replied.
"It was extremely disgusting. Thank you very much." Rabian said.
"Alright, on to the second match! Lyon and Mifuyu from Lamia Scale!" Chapati announced as Lyon and Shun appeared on screen. "Versus Kagura and Millianna from Mermaid Heel!"
"Lyon and Kagura, huh? This should be interesting." Natsu commented before looking at Sting and Rogue, gritting his teeth.
"Alright! The second match is next. From Lamia Scale, Lyon and Mifuyu!" Chapati announced as Lyon and Shun walked out into the arena. "And from Mermaid Heel, Kagura and Millianna are competing!"
"Feelin' spiffy!" Millianna exclaimed. "Let's feel the love for Mermaid Heel!"
"Yajima-san, what are your thoughts on this march?" Chapati asked.
"I wouldn't be surprised if either side won." Yajima replied. "I'm certainly looking forward to this match."
"Both Lyon and Mifuyu are strong opponents! Millianna! Don't let your guard down!" Erza shouted out.
"Are you rooting for Mermaid Heel?" Gajeel teased.
"Yeah. We've known each other a long time. It's only natural that I'd want to support her." Erza said.
"Gray, you've known Lyon for a long time, right?" Laxus questioned, looking at Gray. "Aren't you interested in this?"
"Not really. We're in different guilds now and are rivals." Gray responded.
"I wouldn't count that Mifuyu guy out either." Gajeel commented. "His smell... it's almost like..."
"Yeah." Laxus finished, knowing what he was thinking. Erza looked at Natsu, who was leaning over the balcony.
"What's wrong, Natsu?" She asked.
"I was thinking that Lucy would probably like to see the matches, too." Natsu replied.
"In that case, let's watch it carefully for her. So we can tell her about it later." Erza said.
"Guess you're right... Alright! I'll do it." Natsu said, standing up.
"I hope Mermaid Heel wins." Happy commented. "I've known Millianna since the Tower of Heaven business, see."
"I guess I'm rooting for Lamia Scale. They've been a big help." Levy said.
"Certainly, we have a history with Lamia Scale..." Macao began.
"...but all of the Mermaid Heel wizards are beauties, right?" Wakaba finished, causing Levy to sigh and turn to Juvia.
"Juvia, I guess you're cheering for Lyon, huh?" She questioned.
"You've been approached by Lyon more than once, right?" Cana teased.
"Having a woman's heart, you must be interested, right?" Mira asked.
"Juvia... Juvia..." Juvia started to say. "...wanted to stay on the team and battle alongside Gray-sama... That's it! There's still a chance! If someone on the team gets injured during the match, and they become short a person..."
Juvia's imagination went wild again. "As a member of the guild, Juvia is a bad girl for wishing injuries on her comrades! But Juvia wants to be by Gray-sama's side!"
"And yet...! Juvia doesn't want her guildmates to get hurt! What should Juvia do?!"
"W-What's wrong, Juvia?" Levy asked.
"Is there something on your mind?" Mira questioned.
"We'll give you good counsel, so go ahead and share with us girls." Cana said.
Wind breezed through. "Maybe... Jellal is watching this match from the stands..." Millianna thought.
"Millianna... Focus." Kagura told her, snapping her out of her thoughts.
"I know!" Millianna said.
"At first, try fighting this match on your own. I'm going to hold back for a while." Kagura informed.
"I don't believe this! Why?!" Millianna asked.
"So you can gain experience... Match or not, this is a real fight. How far can you battle with just your own power? You should try it." Kagura replied.
"Alright. I will!" Millianna clenched her fist in determination.
"Our opponents are two women. But if we don't go all out against those two, it's doubtful that we'll achieve victory." Shun said.
"That's because Kagura is one of them. But if I strut my stuff for her... I'm sure she'll think more highly of me!" Lyon declared.
"Alright, it's settled. I made my decision. Hang back and let me fight Millianna alone." Shun said.
"Huh?"
"I don't want you to get distracted trying to impress Juvia. Besides, I got someone I want to impress too." Shun stated, glancing at the Fairy Tail stands to see that Gray wasn't in sight. "My Nii-san isn't even watching the fight, I'll get his attention if it's the last thing I do."
Lyon sighed and crossed his arms. "Fine." He finally agreed and stepped back.
"Shun is taking Millianna on by himself?" Yuka pointed out.
"What is that idiot doing?" Mila mumbled under her breath.
"Hey, it looks like Lyon is hanging back like Kagura. Does that Mifuyu guy think he can fight alone?" Laxus wondered.
His statement got Gray's attention.
He stepped off of the wall that he was leaning on and stood next to his teammates. Sure enough, it was just as Laxus said. Lyon had stepped aside and Shun was having a stare off with Millianna.
"Hey! If you don't do this right, I'll make the both of you spin!" Obaba shouted, twirling her finger.
"The time limit is 30 minutes! Alright, let the match begin-kabo!" Mato announced as the gong rang out.
"Victory goes to the swiftest!" Millianna exclaimed, taking off her cloak. "Cat Binding Tube!"
Shun easily dodged her attack. "Is Millianna fighting alone?!" Beth asked.
"Will she be okay against an opponent from Lamia Scale?" Arana questioned.
"Kagura must have figured she'd be able to handle it. Let's leave it to her judgment." Risley replied.
"Kagura-chan doesn't need to take part!" Millianna said as Shun dodged her attack again.
"They're really making light of us..." Sherry commented.
"They must be confident..." Sherria added to her cousin's statement.
"Go, Mifuyu!" Mila cheered on her partner.
"You... Mermaid Heel... Mifuyu! Do whatever you have to do to win!" Obaba said as she began spinning. "Show them how strong we are!"
"Lyon is just watching?" Millianna thinks to herself. "In that case..."
Millianna created a tube as it headed straight for Lyon. However, Lyon didn't even flinch when an ice shield protected him from her attack.
"Your fight is with me, kitty!" Shun declared. "Ice-Make: Bloom!"
Shun created several blocks of ice which bloomed outwards to attack Millianna, who dodged.
"She's fast!" Shun exclaimed.
"Kitten Blast!" Millianna shouted.
"A fake-out, huh?" Shun said.
"Gotcha!" Millianna stated. She went to punch Shun, but he ended up shattering into ice.
"You're not the only one who can do fake-outs." Shun announced, appearing from behind Millianna. He crosses his arms in an 'X' motion as a light blue Magic Circle with a dragon head in the middle appeared.
"Hey..." Lily noticed. "His Magic Circle changed."
"Ice Dragon's..." Shun began, causing Fairy Tail to gasp in shock.
"Don't tell me...!" Gajeel started to say, widening his eyes.
"This guy is a Dragon Slayer?!" Natsu finished.
"...Glacial Strike!" Shun finished his spell, slamming his palms to the ground, with a pillar of ice being manifested beneath Millianna that struck and sent her up in the air. She then stumbled back on the ground.
"There it is! The first attack that's landed is by Lamia Scale!" Chapati exclaimed.
"I guess it's time Ice Dragon Mifuyu gets serious." Shun commented as frost came from his body. "I won't lose! Not with that person watching!"
"It seems Shun wants to impress Gray..." Erza noted, her eyes gazing towards Gray who was watching the match intensely.
"Man, I was wondering when Shun would finally get serious." Sting smirked as Rogue stayed silent.
"You ain't seen nothin' yet! I train with Kagura-chan every day!" Millianna revealed her claws. "Secret weapon!"
"Ice Dragon's Shield!" Shun called out, gathering magic power to his hand before extending it, creating a shield of ice to protect him. Millianna's claws hit the shield instead of them.
"Cat Binding Tube!" Millianna shouted out.
"You're not half bad, cat girl. But..." Shun began as the tube froze in mid-air. "...my ice can freeze anything! I don't even have to touch it for it to happen!"
"Huh. In that case, how's this?! Cat Binding Tube! Double! Triple! Uh..." Millianna counted on her fingers. "A lot!"
"So you can produce several at once, huh?" Shun questioned.
"My techniques are evolving, too!" Millianna claimed.
Shun created another ice shield, blocking the tubes. However, one wrapped around his shield as he quickly leaped into the air.
"Evolving, yes. But have you truly mastered it?" Shun taunted. "Ice Dragon's Claw!"
Shun encased ice from his foot the moment his leg is swung down at Millianna, increasing the power of his kick as Millianna stumbled back.
He landed perfectly on the ground before blasting a tornado of ice shards from his mouth at Millianna, sending her crashing into the arena wall.
"Millianna!" Erza shouted.
"Holy crap, he's super strong!" Natsu exclaimed in excitement.
Gray clenched his fist. "So that guy had this much power, huh? Was he going easy on me during our fight on the second day? But why?" He wondered.
"Lamia Scale was hiding a wizard like that?" Jet questioned.
"It seems so." Levy replied.
Millianna tried to attack with her tubes again as Shun swiftly dodged.
"It's about time I end this for good." Shun said, clasping his hands together and raised them up, exerting his magic power as a light blue aura surrounded him. "Dragon Slayer's Secret Art!"
"Sub-Zero Cold: World Freezing Star!"
Shun brought his hands down, unleashing a huge sphere of ice and causing the whole arena to shake.
When the smoke cleared, Millianna was knocked out on the ground with ice surrounding the huge area due to the impact.
"Millianna!" Risley clenched her fists.
"Just who is that guy?" Arana questioned.
Mila smiled at her best friend before she stopped when she saw Shun falling forward, his hood falling in the process before finally collapsing on the ground, his face still covered.
"What a dummy... He overexerted his magic again." Mila sighed internally.
"I suppose I have to participate after all..." Kagura muttered, stepping forward.
Lyon looked at Shun worriedly before walking over towards him.
"Lyon... I leave Kagura to you..." Shun mumbled.
Lyon smiled. "You did well. Get some rest. I'll make sure we win." He promised before stepping forward and facing Kagura.
"It's Lyon versus Kagura! One on one!" Chapati announced.
"That Dragon Slayer is pretty impressive." Laxus complimented.
"Agreed." Erza said.
"Makes me want to fight him." Gajeel grinned.
Gray stayed silent as he looked towards where Shun laid, a worried look etched on his face.
"W-Will Lyon be okay?" Sherria asked.
"Shun's passed out, and going one on one against Kagura..." Sherry trailed off.
"What? Lyon hasn't unleashed his true strength yet. Lyon! No matter what, you better win!" Obaba shouted. "Show her your true power!"
"You got this, Lyon!" Mila cheered.
"I've heard about you. You once went by the name 'Reitei'. You attempted a dangerous ritual in order to fight Deliora." Kagura said.
"That was a long time ago. Now, I'm Lyon, a wizard with Lamia Scale. Nothing more or less. But something about you reminds me of the way I used to be. Back when I was driven by hatred and had lost sight of something..." Lyon stated.
"Let me ask you one thing. Why did you let your teammate fight Millianna solo?" Kagura asked.
"I had a feeling he had it covered. Besides, he gave me an opportunity to save my strength." Lyon responded. "Ice-Make: Dragonfly!"
Kagura easily used her speed to avoid Lyon's attacks. "Ice-Make: Eagle!" Lyon shouted.
Lyon soon crashed towards the ground. "Kagura really is strong! Is Lyon powerless to do anything?!" Chapati asked.
"What are you doin', Lyon?! And you were Ur's disciple?! You're stronger than that! Get your act together now!" Gray shouted.
"He's right. Show me what you've really got, Lyon Vastia!" Kagura said.
"Yeah. And we are running out of time..." Lyon stated. "Ice-Make: Snow Tiger!" An ice tiger appeared. "Ice-Make: Snow Ape!"
An ape made of ice appeared on his other side. "Ice-Make: Snow Dragon!" Lyon shouted, the ice dragon appearing behind him. "I bet not even you will be able to escape this!"
The three ice sculptures charged forward as Kagura jumped in the air and landed on the ground.
"You can create all these at the same time? Still..." Kagura's sword glowed as a dark pink Magic Circle appeared above the arena. Kagura was also glowing the same color as Lyon was in the air.
"There it is! Her ace in the hole, Gravity Change!" Beth said.
"Yep! That's Kagura's magic!" Risley stated.
"Still, for Kagura to use Gravity Change, it proves that Lyon guy is a tough opponent." Arana commented.
"W-What power!" Lyon said as Kagura jumped and destroyed the ice sculptures.
"It ends here!" Kagura shouted, appearing from the Magic Circle.
Just as she was about to strike Lyon, the gong rang out. "Time's up! 30 minutes have passed! It's a tie-kabo!" Mato announced.
"The result is a draw! It wasn't settled after 30 minutes!" Chapati said.
"So close!"
The Magic Circle soon disappeared as both Kagura and Lyon landed on the ground.
"Just a little more time and Lyon would've been toast!"
"But a tie's a tie."
"Ah, well, it looks like Kagura isn't too bothered by it..." Risley commented.
"He squeaked by with a draw."
"But what a close call..."
"When you get back here, you're going to spin and spin and spin! I'm gonna spin you like never before!" Obaba claimed.
Lyon walked back over to Shun, noticing his hood was off. Luckily, his face was still covered due to Shun falling onto his arm.
"Your hood's down." Lyon warned, blocking him from people's sight and making sure his face couldn't be seen from any angle.
Shun stood up and reached for his hood, pulling it over his head. Once Lyon was sure his hair and face were covered, he stepped back.
"Thank you." Shun thanked him. "Kagura really is strong."
"And I don't think she was pulling out all the stops..." Lyon pointed out.
"That's true." Shun agreed.
"Kagura-chan, I'm sorry..." Millianna apologized.
"That Mifuyu has natural aptitude. If this had been a life-or-death battle instead of a match, you'd be dead right now." Kagura claimed. "Get stronger, Millianna. I'm going to train you harder."
"Right!"
"The crowd is still pumped up here at the arena! But don't take your eyes off of the next battle!" Chapati announced.
"At last!" Mavis exclaimed.
"Yep. At last..."
"At long last!"
"Finally..." Levy began.
"...the time has come!" Cana finished.
"Natsu-san, Gajeel-kun, don't get hurt! No injuries! Nobody is allowed to get hurt!" Juvia shouted.
"Why are you so obsessed with injuries?" Mira questioned.
"I'll meet you at the balcony." Shun told Lyon.
"Huh? Where are you going?" Lyon asked.
"To talk with Natsu and Gajeel. I have some information that might help them in their battle." Shun responded.
"You ready?" Gajeel asked once he saw Natsu coming out of the infirmary.
"Yeah. Let's make Lucy and the rest happy by winnin' this thing." Natsu replied.
"Good, I manged to catch you two before you left."
Shun's voice caught the attention of both Natsu and Gajeel. "You're Lamia Scale's..." Natsu started to say.
"...Dragon Slayer." Gajeel concluded.
"I have information that may help you in your battle. But first..." Shun started to say, moving his hand to his hood and pulling it down. This shocks both Natsu and Gajeel.
"So I wasn't hallucinating back then! You really do look like Gray!" Natsu exclaimed.
"My true name is Shun Fullbuster, Gray's twin brother. Only Erza knows of this, and now you two. I plan on revealing myself to Gray before the tournament is over. I trust you two will keep it a secret until then." Shun explained, making Natsu and Gajeel nod.
"Now, listen carefully to what I'm about to tell you..."
"I'm sure all of our viewers have been eagerly looking forward to this battle." Chapati announced as Natsu, Gajeel, Sting, and Rogue entered the arena. "A fateful showdown between the guild that was called the strongest seven years ago and the strongest current guild! Fairy Tail's Natsu and Gajeel versus Sabertooth's Sting and Rogue! And all four of them are Dragon Slayers. All four possess anti-dragon magic."
"Sting-kun..." Lector muttered.
"I've been waiting for this moment." Sting thought.
Somewhere warm and fiery stood Igneel. "The White Dragon, Weisslogia... The Shadow Dragon, Skiadrum... Show me... Have humans surpassed dragons? Or is that just a fleeting dream? It is almost time for us to act... The Festival of the Dragon King is almost upon us." He spoke.
"The dream Dragon Slayer showdown is finally happening!" Chapati said as Shun soon joined his teammates on the balcony.
"Sock it to 'em!" Gray encouraged.
"Get 'em for us, too!" Laxus said.
"I have faith you'll win!" Erza added.
"The time to clash is here at last! Who will win, Fairy or Tiger?! All four dragons are on the battlefield!" Chapati said.
"Fight to the best of your ability. There's nothing else to say." Makarov claimed as Jiemma said nothing.
"I've been waiting years for this, Natsu-san." Sting thinks to himself as the four dragons stared at one another.
"I've been looking forward to it, too-kabo! The time limit is 30 minutes! Let the match begin!" Mato called out as the gong rang out.
"Here I go!" Sting said.
"Yeah!" Rogue agreed as Sting and Rogue paused, seeing that Natsu and Gajeel were already charging at them. Natsu punched Sting while Gajeel grabbed onto Rogue's cloak. Natsu then kicked Sting to the side as he skidded on the ground.
"White Dragon's Roar!" Sting made the first move, shooting out a white laser beam at Natsu, who moved out of the way.
"A laser?!" Natsu exclaimed as Gajeel jumped out of the way.
Shadows came from Rogue's hand. "Shadow Dragon's Slash!" He called out as Gajeel's arm transformed into a sword, blocking Rogue's attack and sending him crashing into the arena wall.
"Rogue!" Sting shouted.
Natsu slammed Rogue into Sting as flames came from his hands.
"Fire Dragon's Wing Attack!" Natsu shouted, sending Sting and Rogue into the air.
"W-What's this?! Sting and Rogue... The Twin Dragons of Fiore's strongest guild are on the ropes!" Chapati exclaimed.
"He really is strong... But I'd be disappointed otherwise." Sting commented.
"Gajeel..." Rogue muttered.
"Did you two really defeat dragons with power like that?" Natsu asked.
"Not defeat... I killed a dragon with this very hand." Sting replied.
"Wasn't it your parent?" Natsu questioned.
"It's got nothin' to do with you. From now, I'm gonna show you the power that killed a dragon!" Sting responded. "White Drive..."
"Shadow Drive." Rogue said, activating his Drive as well.
Sting and Rogue glowed their elements as they got into a fighting stance.
"Let's go!"
