Elijah and Caroline were in the car driving back to New Orleans when Caroline wanted to clear thing out.
"Elijah, what happened between us the other night, can't happen again. I hope we are on the same page with that? I'm with Klaus, committed to him. We even talked about getting married some time soon."
"You did?" Elijah aske, brow raised.
"Yes, it was Klaus' idea."
"Quite the romantic, my brother."
"When he wants to be," Caroline smiled.
"But, yes, I understand what you are saying. This can't happen again."
"Okay, I'm glad you agree." Caroline gave him a small smile and they continued to drive towards New Orleans.
When they got to New Orleans, Caroline learned that Klaus had been busy while she was away and made a new nursery adjoining to their bedroom.
Caroline was just settling in, settling Hope in as she put her to sleep for her daily nap. Just as Hope had fallen asleep, Klaus came quietly knocking in, "Hey, is she asleep?"
"Yeah, she's fell asleep pretty quickly today." Caroline smiled watching her.
"Okay, because I need to talk to you a little."
Caroline pulled the nursery's door shut and asked, "What is it?"
Klaus closed the distance between them and took her hands in his.
"Caroline, I love you!" He simply stated.
"Hmm. I love you too, Klaus, but what is it about?" Caroline asked in confusion
"It' about this," Klaus said as he took something little out of his pocket and got down on one knee in front of her.
"Klaus…" Caroline started to say, overwhelmed.
"Caroline, I'm sorry for the way I've been acting lately, about Camille and all that but I want you to know that if you say "yes", the that all is going to change, I'm going to change. I'm going to be the man you deserve. So 'Will you marry me, Caroline?' As soon as possible. Tomorrow or even today." Klaus asked as he opened a little box in his hands that had a ring with biggest and prettiest diamond she had ever seen on a ring.
"Today?" Caroline asked laughing.
"I can pull it off, love."
"I'm sure you do, but I have my own idea of what I want my wedding to be," Caroline stated smiling.
"Is that a yes?" He asked with a huge smile.
"Yes!" Caroline said as Klaus pulled himself to stand up and laughing he pulled her into a kiss and swirled her around a couple of times before they let go and just stared at each other.
"With a little compelling, I should be able to pull my dream wedding off by tomorrow."
"Then tomorrow it is. I'll help you make all the necessary preparations." Klaus said smiling.
"Okay, but you have to do everything I say and how I say it."
"Yes, ma'am." Klaus said as he grabbed her to take her to bed.
The next morning, as they decided to have the wedding in the compound, the wedding preparation took place. One could notice a huge seven stories high Wedding Cake and pyramid of champagne glasses but Caroline was nowhere to be found. That's because Caroline's friends and her mother had come from Mystic Falls and Elena and Bonnie told Caroline that if she didn't get the bachelorette party, she at least had to have a all girls morning breakfast with them and her mother. So they had a fancy breakfast in a restaurant.
"Caroline, are you sure you want to do this? Marry Klaus Mikaelson?" Elena asked.
"He's not forcing you into this, is he?" Bonnie worried.
"No, of course, it's what we both want. I know it may seem sudden to you, but ever since I started a relationship with him, it has felt so right." Caroline explained.
"Honey, if you are happy, then I am happy with whatever you decide." Liz told Caroline.
"Thank you mom, for being so supportive." Caroline said as she hugged her mother.
"And about Hope, his daughter-"
"Our daughter," Caroline corrected Elena.
"Yes, your daughter, are you ready to commit to raising her. I mean it must be eighteen years long commitment at least"
"Actually it's for life, Elena, as I will never be not her mother. And I'm ready and also able and I want that more than anything else. SO could you guys be supportive of that?"
"We are. We definitely are. Let's raise a glass to Caroline getting married and becoming a mom." Elena said.
And Caroline had a huge smile on as they all raised their glasses.
When Caroline was getting dressed to her beautiful wedding dress, she suddenly realised that as it was her dream dress, it didn't fit the occasion just quite right. She had other options and as she went through them, some came to the door.
"As beautiful as it is, it still isn't the kind of dress for marrying a 1000 year old hybrid, right?"
It was Rebekah.
"Rebekah, what are you doing here?" Caroline asked, looking at Hope who was playing on the floor.
"Don't worry, dear, I'm not here to rob her. I learned my lesson. And made peace with Nik, and now I want to do the same with you."
Then she brought out a stunning wedding dress that was definitely of royal calibre.
"It's not a olive branch exactly but it's even better, me thinks. It was actually worn by a princess in her wedding." Rebekah said smiling and holding the dress.
"Omg, the dress is magnificent and it must have cost a fortune. I don't know if I can accept this." Caroline said gasping.
"Of course you can. It's a wedding present, you are not going to say no to a present, right?"
Caroline took the dress from Rebekah and hugged her, "Thank you so much, Rebekah, it's like you read my mind that I had chosen a completely wrong dress."
"You're welcome. It's my official welcome to the family gift. You make my brother so happy and that's what really matters. Not our differences about how Hope should be raised."
"So, you still think that I'm not a good choice to raise her?"
"I'm on the fence but I'm slowly warming up to the idea. So let's leave it at on this important day. Wait, who's watching hope while you are getting married?"
"We have a nanny hired."
"No way, I'll do it."
"Okay, thanks, but no kidnappings, Rebekah." Caroline warned.
"Don't worry, Nik would have my head, so I know better now."'
And so Rebekah went to take Hope and left the bride to get ready alone.
Caroline was taken to the altar by Stefan, her best male friend and Klaus waited on the balcony for her.
When Caroline got to him, he said, "You look absolutely stunning, love."
"You clean up pretty well yourself." Caroline whispered back.
They had a official hired and they said their own vows to each other.
Caroline, "The day I met you, I thought that you are the worst person in the world, now getting married in front of our friends and family members, I have to take those words back as nobody I know loves as fiercely and devotedly as you do. Not just me but everybody who matters to you and that's your family. The Family that I'm going to be part of now. And I promise, Klaus, you will never have to regret accepting me as a part of your Family."
Klaus chuckled but was very moved by her words, " I know I won't, love. Ever since I met you, I have loved you and I have always been certain that one day I will have your love and your loyalty. But I never knew we were one day going to be parents to a sweet baby girl and I wanna thank your being so good to us, to me and our daughter. You really are full of light and a positive influence on both of us every day. I couldn't do this without you. You are everything to me, Caroline."
Then they were pronounced husband and wife and Klaus kissed the bride. It was a simple kiss, not too passionate and when they broke apart, everyone were smiling and clapping. Some whistling was even heard.
As a New Orleans tradition the married couple went to dance and sing on the street followed by the tourists and locals in mood to celebrate with them.
Rebekah had Hope all to herself as the married couple had their wedding night.
