Wednesday
When I woke the next day I was lying on the sofa in the living room. Ashley was sitting next to me. The room was quiet. It was the middle of the day.
"hi sweetie," Ashley said looking down at me, "how ya feeling?"
She handed me some water which I sipped.
"I. um. What am I doing here in the middle of the day?"
"you passed out. At school. And I brought you here.
"oh. But. You don't drive."
"we took a cab."
"howd you afford that?"
"have you forgotten im a stripper?"

"oh. Right."
