Okay so... I hadn't considered making this story long, but you guys inspired me to continue, so here it goes... I hope you like it :)

Chapter 2

Completely engrossed in the moment, Angel felt himself give in to her; leisurely closing the distance between them. And just before their lips met… he felt her sweet breath brush against him swiftly bringing him back into reality.

Buffy began to close her eyes encouraging him to take her deeper in the desire that brewed between them. She then let out a breath that she didn't realize she was holding and he stopped, slowly caressing her back to stand her up. She opened her eyes startled, just now grasping the boldness of her actions… what the hell was wrong with her, she thought.

Her cheeks began to deepen in color again and she fumbled for words, "I… I'm…"

Angel stared dazed at the woman who had woken such desire in him… something he'd never felt before. He saw her redden and he smiled, "Are you alright, Ms…?"

"Summers… Buffy Summers, I'm so sorry… I don't know what happened, I wasn't paying attention and then…" she began to babble, she had almost kissed a stranger while on a date with someone else. Just seconds ago, she'd been thinking how she had been bothered at Riley and now she was the one doing it.

He chuckled still holding her hand, "It's quite alright…"

"Buffy!" Will had yelled as she saw her trip. Riley reached out for her but Angel caught her.

"Phew…" Riley and Willow sighed in unison smiling, they stared at each other in relief… Her eyes then seemed to sparkle at him, and she began to see in him a look she'd never seen before… like it was trying to tell her something.

"Mr. O'Donnell, Mr. Finn… can you and your girlfriends pose for us?" Photographers asked.

"Oh! We… she and I… I'm with…" Riley couldn't form a thought; he was there technically with Buffy why would they assume… he began to approach Angel and Buffy who was just now setting her on her feet. Angel was always the spokesman; he was the one that always knew what to say.

Angel wrapped Buffy's hand around his to escort her and walked towards Riley and Willow.

"Your friend's name is…?"

"Willow… Willow Rosenberg…"

The four of them were standing now together, "Of course gentlemen, I'm sure Ms. Summers and Ms. Rosenberg wouldn't mind some photographs…" he glanced at them for approval.

"Course not…" Will grinned.

"Of course…" Buffy answered.

They all got together and posed… first as group, then coupled out, Riley by Will, and Angel by Buffy… The photographers loved them, they just made cover worthy perfect couples, especially with the happiness they illustrated.

"Thank you gentlemen that will be all…" he waved them off. The four of them finally went in to the Bronx.

"I apologize ladies for paparazzi out there and the not clarifying that you guys weren't our girlfriends, they would have focused on gossip, instead of the club's opening, I hope that's ok… we can fix it…"

"It's completely fine…" Will answered.

"Yes, it's no problem…" Buffy added as well, she was about to ask Angel for a moment to apologize for earlier when he spoke.

"Why don't you girls head to the bar for a drink…" Angel smiled, "I've gotta discuss some stuff with my brother?"

Riley looked at him confused.

"Yes, but…" Buffy began, but Will interrupted.

"We'll be at the bar…" she tugged Buffy with her.

Angel saw them walk away and pulled his phone out, dialing quickly, "Ray? It's Angel, two ladies are heading your way, blue and red dresses, names Buffy and Willow, they're with Riley and I give them whatever they want, ok? Let the rest of the bartenders know…" He closed his phone and looked at Riley, gesturing to head to his office.

As they went upstairs, Angel began to think, the woman that seemed to have turned his world upside down was the woman who was on a date with his best friend. They walked into the office; Angel headed to the one way viewing glass window that overlooked the whole bar. He spotted them.

Riley walked behind Angel he began to wonder what was going on; could it have been possible that his friend noticed his attraction for Willow instead of his date? He closed the door and joined him, "What's up? Is something wrong?"

Angel didn't know how to begin, how could he tell his best friend, his brother practically, that the girl he was on a date with, he had somehow fallen for. "No… nothing's wrong it's just… I… how's your date with Buffy going?"

Riley looked to the bar were the girls were talking; should he be honest or tell his friend that he wanted the red-head he invited for himself, "Honestly…? It's good, I mean she's great. She's sweet, attractive, easy going…"

Angel looked down, he was the worst friend ever… he couldn't ask him to give her up. He'd met her first and that was that, but then he heard him say…

"But!" Riley continued, "then Willow showed up, and I had never seen her like this, it's somehow different from when I've seen her in class… out of the jeans and t-shirts… she just…"

"Took your breath away…" Angel finished.

"Yeah… yes, exactly, but what kind of man would bail on his date for the person that set them up in the first place? Wait a minute… since when are you all mister romance and stuff?"

Angel smiled at the fact that maybe he had a shot, Riley wanted Willow and he wanted Buffy. "Since about 10 minutes ago…"

"What? Who?"

"Buffy…" he whispered.

"No way… really? That's great then maybe I can… or we can… I think Willow was attracted to me possibly we can… somehow switch?"

Angel laughed, "Yeah, but would they be ok with that?" He sighed, "We better get back to them…"

Buffy and Will approached the bar, tons of people trying to get drinks. Well this was going to take a while… Then the bartender called them forward.

"How we doing, ladies… my name's Ray, what can I get for you?" He asked.

"Apple martini, please…" Buffy answered.

"Lemon drop…" Will added.

"Coming right up…" he answered them.

Willow then turned to Buffy a guilty look on her face, "Buffy… you must think I'm a horrible friend. I had hoped you didn't catch Riley's reaction earlier… or mine, and then all of a sudden we were taking pictures and I pawn you off on the friend and I… I just… I am very very sorry…"

Buffy smiled at her, maybe this could work out for her friend. She'd really enjoyed her date with Riley… but she did not want a relationship, she had no time, and it'd be just a distraction. Not to mention the fact that that something was not there, that feeling of … whatever it was you were suppose to feel, was missing. She then remembered Angel's face, he did have the face of an angel, she thought ironically. He had made her feel… feel… she couldn't think of the word, but it had been something… the strongest thing ever. No! She stopped herself, school… dance… I have a plan… I need to stay focused.

"Why are you smiling?" Will asked hurt, "I am truly sorry…"

Buffy realized she hadn't answered her, "Oh sorry, Will it's fine really… honestly… I mean yes he was sweet and a complete gentleman all night but the guy couldn't care less about me since the moment you showed up… he is totally into you…"

"Ugh I feel even more awful now… I set you two up, then I come in and take the first guy you've agreed to date in years…" she stared away in remorse.

Buffy leaned to give her a hug, "Hey… the no dating is just what I want; I just want don't want to get side tracked…" she grinned at her, "now cheer up because they'll probably be heading back any moment."

"Okay…" she smirked, "but how are you going to tell him…? What if he wants to be a gentleman and …"

"Will… calm down, I'll figure a way, okay? It'll work out…"

"Ladies your drinks…" Ray interrupted.

"Thank you…" they said together.

"How much do we owe you?" Buffy pulled her card from her hand purse.

The bartender waived his hands, "Not necessary, it's been taken care of… you guys are taken care of for the whole night."

Willow displayed a surprised expression and Buffy furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. She asked, "By who?"

"The owner, Mr. O'Donnell…" he answered.

"Well that's sweet of him, but not necessary, here…" she offered her card, "please… take it."

The bartender shook his head in response. Then a man's hand covered hers from behind her…

"You're money's no good here…" Angel answered.

His body was very near to hers and she felt a rush of electricity run through her. What was it about this man that made her react that way? Tonight was supposed to be just a quick, fun night out. No attachments… but he… he made her feel so… so… alive.

"We apologize for leaving you guys alone so long… hope you didn't have too much fun without us?" Riley joked.

"Not at all…" Will gazed at him flirtingly. Now that Buffy had given her the okay on Riley, she planned on making it known to him she was interested.

Buffy turned around immediately about to argue and came face to face with him… with her Angel. One look into his eyes and she went weak at the knees.
