A Piece of (Art)work

As she finished the last of the code, she heard Chell make a small noise next to her. She seemed pleased about something. GLaDOS was curious but finished the last of her work before she spared a glance over.

Chell was smiling.

Never a good sign.

"Let me guess." GLaDOS spoke up dryly as Chell looked at her. "You've come up with some new plan to kill me."

Chell rolled her eyes as she always did when GLaDOS brought that up.

"What is it then?"

Chell held up what she'd been drawing and GLaDOS fell silent. Just looking at the picture for a moment.

She turned back to the screen.

"You really need to find something more productive to do with your time."

She could hear Chell's annoyed huff as she pointedly refused to look over at the woman.

There was a ripping noise and before she could turn the piece of paper was placed in front of her on the screen's monitor.

"What are you doing-"She started to say but Chell just folded her arms and looked at her.

"What? Are you waiting for applause? Because I don't-"

Chell rolled her eyes and she picked up the pencil and quickly wrote on a new piece of paper.

-It's for you to keep-

GLaDOS looked at her.

"What possible use could I have for this?"

Chell shrugged.

"You're going to kill me if I throw this in the incinerator aren't you?"

Chell shook her head. GLaDOS just turned back to the drawing on her screen.

"Fine. I'll keep it. But only because I think you're lying about the 'not trying to kill me part'. On that note have I remind you how you shouldn't be here?"

Chell just nodded. But she was smirking as GLaDOS put the picture off to the side. At that Chell walked back over to her seat and went back to drawing. GLaDOS rolled her eyes and went back to looking at the screen. Her eye was caught though, by the corner of the piece of paper. She looked over at the drawing.

It was...well, it wasn't,"very" good. Decent maybe. Acceptable. Though still a waste of time.

It was a drawing of a test chamber, with figures standing behind the windows, watching. Blue and Orange were drawn in it as well. One of them was pushing the other off a ledge.

GLaDOS smirked in spite of herself and straightened the drawing on her desk. Well maybe, she could keep it.
