THE GRAND ARMY OF THE NEW REPUBLIC

Hey guys it's chaoskeeten and I bring you another installment of this great story. Last time we left off Battle master Anakin Skywalker and Grand general Rex rescue Cal and his clone sergeant named "sarge" off Bracca and our first encounter with the inquisitors. This will continue off front that previous chapter and explore the inner workings of the GANR and how they function. With that this will be less action and more world building as much as I can. With that out of the way let's get this chapter started.
The Republic: Venator two Class Star Destroyer: Hyperspace
As the GANR fleet travels through hyperspace with supplies and a rescued Jedi on board both Battle Master Anakin Skywalker and Master Ahsoka Tano with his friend Grand General Rex made their way to the command bridge to inform the new Jedi council and high command of their success on the junk world. With Anakin being the most to prepare since they also spotted two inquisitors on the planet with a decent sized imperial force. While they retreated Anakin felt a presence strong in one of the imperial ships. Not as strong as a Sith Lord but close to it. He thought it could be the infamous Grand inquisitor that may Jedi fell to so far. He may not be darth Vader but he's close enough to warrant attention. As they entered the bridge several holograms of Jedi and high commanding officers and a new chancellor were present with this news.
"Masters Skywalker and Tano. Grand General Rex .What news do you have to report?" Said Plo Koon.
"We raided an imperial scrapyard under control of the scrappers guild and took some equipment and supplies needed for the war effort." Said Rex
"We've also dealt with the local imperial forces there. They didn't know what hit them. As we were leaving we were meet with two imperial fleets. One we mostly taken cared of but the other one was large. Too large for an imperial admiral to have." Said Ahsoka
"The grand inquisitor you encountered?" Said Yoda
"It had to been. I felt his presence in the force. It wasn't Vader but it was definitely not a normal inquisitor." Said Skywalker.
"I've heard reports of this "grand inquisitor" a lot. Some would say he was once a former temple guard, others a Jedi knight turned to the dark side. Whatever happened to this individual he was clearly manipulated by the emperor for power." Said Chancellor Chuchi.
"I don't think he's completely loyal to the emperor Chancellor, his true master will always be with Darth Vader. He was the one who recruited most of the fallen Jedi into the inquisition. Palpatine merely lets them do whatever they want as loud as Jedi are brought in. Dead or alive." Said Skywalker.
"Hunting you. They have Skywalker. Since the start of the war." Said Yoda
"They have been, I've been protecting him since the days of the first clone wars. I won't fail him on that mission." Said Ahsoka
"There was something else we found, a Jedi survivor! Apparently he was hiding there when the order came through. He and a clone survivor lived there for a few years before the inquisitors came." Said Skywalker.
"This is good news, another Jedi found means more survivors will be found." Said vice chair Bail Organa.
"Don't expect all survivors to still be Jedi Vice Chair. The last few that we located either fell to the dark side or join the empire. To find one that hasn't done one or the other is very difficult to find." Said Kenobi
"Lets us hope more survivors will be found. The sooner we find them. The sooner we can fully rebuild the Jedi order my friends." Said Chancellor Chuchi
As the Chancellor and other senators and other Jedi left the meeting only Yoda and Kenobi remain as Skywalker finally felt comfortable telling the Grand master about something more personal within him.
"Master Skywalker, more to say have you?" Said Yoda
"Yes master, they're something I should've said to you years ago. Something that I'm thankful has been peaceful for my friends and family." Said Skywalker
"Family? You say?"
"Yes master, the children that senator amidala has, they are mine as well. For a few years me and a handful others knew about my relationship with her and now children. I know it's forbidden in the Jedi code to form attachment and form relationships but I couldn't imagined life without her. I already lost my mother years ago and I couldn't lose her, thankfully I tried my best to follow the code to the best of my abilities." Said Skywalker
"Wrong have we been Skywalker. Understand this I have, loved someone as you do I have. Grogs you have saved. A son of mine from the temple. The code, while useful must be changed. Fear can still lead to anger but also hope. Hope for the order and all life. The Jedi of old gone it is. The Jedi of new continues to grow. A new Jedi order must be formed from the ashes of the old. Stepping down from Grand master I must. The future of the order rest with Skywalker."said the former Grand master as everyone in the room now sees Anakin the future of the New Jedi Order, one free from the corruption of what made the Jedi of old all into the bureaucracy and influence of the dark side, into the trap of the sith.
"Master. I have no idea what to do? I'm thankful for being this position but what about the order. I can't just handle the entirety of the order by myself." Said Skywalker
"Help you will have from me. Along with your friends and family. Teach them as I have taught many others in the ways of the force. Grow beyond the Jedi of old. A new hope emerging it has. From the twins it has. Help them and teach them we must." Said Yoda as he mentioned Anakin's twins.
"And I will be there to help you my old padawan." Said obi wan.
"And I" said Ahsoka
"I've meet them a few times. And they definitely have your good traits General. Me and the troops are ready to help them in the future. Along with the others in the Grand Army of the New Republic." Said Rex as his close friends and mentors will help Anakin train the new Jedi order and bring a new age to the galaxy once the age of the Sith comes to an end.
As they come out of hyperspace towards they end their transmission to each other as Grand Master Skywalker moved his fleet towards Dantooine; a New republic world that was until a year ago part of a separatist remnant. Chancellor Chuchi allowed the world to keep its droid forces as a security force along with a fleet of old separatists warships if they agree to fight the Galactic empire.
The current governor at the time was facing a threat from an imperial Governor who was technically the ruler of the system. The GANR and Separatist forces joined forces in repelling an imperial invasion and since then an alliance was formed with other separatists factions to allow the GANR and their forces to help defeat the empire.
Several space stations are seen from the bridge of The Republic as Golans from two Golan ones. Four Golan twos and six Golan threes are present along with a contingent of ships from the GANR and the local Separatists fleet. They recently captured two former imperial dockyard stations and had them modified to be use for not only captured imperial ships but also use for GANR forces as well along with their separatists allies. The empire began to increase their attacks on any worlds affiliated with the GANR or any separatist groups.
"This is Grand General Rex of the GANR, requesting permission to dock on station one! Authorization code Delta four Charlie twenty three!" Said rex
A droid control ship acts as the main flagship of this fleet and head of security as a mix crew of droids and clones serve onboard to verify the code Rex sent in.
"Code checks out. Welcome home sir. Make your way towards station one dock three." Said the commanding droid officer.
"Copy that. Head to point three seven on our starboard side. Have the rest of the fleet set around the various stations across the planet as we dock." Said rex as the rest of the fleet head to their respective stations for refueling and extra supplies while The Republic heads to the modified imperial dockyard to revive minor repairs and receive minor upgrades to its systems.
"Sir. Go ahead and get the Jedi commander and have him debrief on the situation. I'll take Sarge and have him get treated up sir." Said rex
"You know me to well rex. Ahsoka get cal and have him brought to the bridge. I'll send Rex down to collect sarge and." Said Skywalker.
"Come on master you can do something with me for once." Said Ahsoka
"It's grand master now snips." Said Skywalker as rex started to laugh a bit from the nickname he sometimes call his old apprentice.
"What ever you say Skyguy." As she made arc trooper Jesse laugh as well from his nickname as well.
"Jesse. You haven't heard of that before?" Asked Skywalker
"First time for anything Grand master Skyguy." As Rex and Jesse made their way to get Sarge while laughing from the roast that Jesse made on the new Grand master of the new Jedi order.
As the three of them made their way towards the barracks they passed by several hallway of munitions and training grounds of the ship before coming up towards Cal and Sarges room where to get both of them for their respective treatment.
"Rex I think I'll let you go first with sarge. I want to talk to cal about something important." Said Ahsoka
"Copy that sir." Said Rex as he opens the door to see both of them already up abs prepare for a mission. "Easy you two, you're not getting assigned to a mission, at least not yet for you Sarge, come with me and Jesse so we can get you cleaned up and treated." Said Rex
"Treated? What do you mean treated?" Said Sarge in a confused tone
"To be honest Sarge you look like a homeless man with the rugged beard you have, we're going to get you cleaned up and give you an anti aging serum." Said Jesse
"Homeless man! Cal you could've told me to shave every now and then!" Said Sarge
"Hey it sold your disguise very well. Especially during the early years when we had to avoid the clone stormtroopers." Said Cal
"And I heard of an anti aging serum. What in all of the galaxy is that? Will I actually age normally like a regular person?" Said Sarge
"Yes you will trooper, basically age like a normal human, the Kaminoans developed it and mass produced it a few years ago when we rescued them from Kamino a year into the second clone wars." Said Rex
"Well I guess I get to be vaccinated like the rest of you boys, hopefully I still get to fight years from now once we free this galaxy from the empire." Said sarge
"Let's hope we don't have to continue fighting after they fall. I hope one day to settle down and start something new for me." Said Rex
"With due respect sir, we're soldiers, we were made to fight for the republic. And my blood is boiling for a fight sir!" Said Jesse
"You got a point there Jesse, come on sarge let's get you fixed up. And don't worry about your commander; general Ahsoka tano will take care of him with official Jedi stuff." Said Rex as he and sarge with Jesse head down to the recovery room where sarge will get a nice haircut and shave along with admiration of the anti aging serum while Ahsoka talks to cal.
"Ahsoka, I've heard great things about you, how you in your first battle you helped defeat the separatists forces on Christophsis by dropping a colon of debris on a colon of droids while your master was nearly crushed had not been for a hole in it." Said cal
"I remember that mission, it feels like a lifetime ago, since then I've had many experiences that would change a Jedi. I once died, lead a rebellion to overthrow a separatist lead government, being accused of bombing the Jedi Temple and much more. But that day when the republic fell was one of the hardest experiences I've ever dealt with. Losing Jedi during the purge was also hard on me cause I was meant to go back there once my mission was complete. To see if I wanted to rejoin the order." Said Ahsoka
"Same for me, I lost my master during the purge, while the majority of our ship was chip free we weren't expecting those rogue clones to be in there plus a few of our ship weren't chip free. My master sacrifice his life to protect me. I even hold on to his lightsaber even though it's damaged a bit. Only one side comes up since a blaster bolt took off one of the sides." Said cal as he shows Ahsoka his masters lightsaber to her.
"It's impressive cal, we'll get it fix soon. For now follow me to meet my old master on the bridge he would like to have a word with you for something important." Said Ahsoka
"Well let's not keep you old master waiting." Said cal as both of them exited the room and headed to the bridge to meet the new grand master of the new Jedi order. It took them a few minutes to get there but already cal can feel his presence strong in the force and realize what potential he has in the force.
"You must be cal, I believe we meet before while you were with your Jedi master. I know it's been a while but I'm sorry for your lose. He was a good master and a talented one. At least part of him will continue on with you carrying his lightsaber." Said Skywalker
"Yes sir, I've heard great things about you, from the battle of Christophsis to the siege on Coruscant. You earned the nickname The Hero without Fear. And thank you Master Skywalker." Said Cal
Your welcome my friend, the reason I had to hear was master Yoda named me the new grand master. As something I wanted to do I asked Ahsoka to join me as I create a new code for the new Jedi order. While the old code will exist it will only serve as a reminder as to evolve ourselves as Jedi and to create a more open order where we can have our emotions flow more freely without letting the dark side consume us like it had many times. Even me at points. Are you two ready?" Said Skywalker
"Yes" said the both of them as Anakin began to speak the new code for the new order.
"THERE IS EMOTION.
YET PEACE.
THERE IS SERENTY.
YET PASSION.
THERE IS CHAOS.
YET HARMONY.
THERE IS NO LIFE WITHOUT DEATH.
I SERVE THE BALANCE AND THROUGH IT THE FORCE • SHALL GUIDE ME." Quoted Skywalker as he recited the new code for his new Jedi order where all can feel both aspects of the force without being consumed by one or the other.
"THERE IS EMOTION.
YET PEACE.
THERE IS SERENTY.
YET PASSION.
THERE IS CHAOS.
YET HARMONY.
THERE IS NO LIFE WITHOUT DEATH.
I SERVE THE BALANCE AND THROUGH IT THE FORCE • SHALL GUIDE ME." Said Ahsoka as she felt her chains has been broke and the force has set her free to expand and explore her connection to the force and see how far she can go.
"THERE IS EMOTION.
YET PEACE.
THERE IS SERENTY.
YET PASSION.
THERE IS CHAOS.
YET HARMONY.
THERE IS NO LIFE WITHOUT DEATH.
I SERVE THE BALANCE AND THROUGH IT THE FORCE • SHALL GUIDE ME." Said Cal as he entered a force induced vision as he sees his old master walk up to him.
"Cal, you do me great honor with how you become. From the days I've trained you till now you have become a better Jedi than I ever could. I wish I could see you my old padawan." Said Tapal
"Don't worry master, I will continue to honor you and your legacy. I will carry you lightsaber till the day I cannot wield it anymore." Said Cal
"Speaking of lightsabers; let me see my old saber one last time." Said Tapal
As Cal handed his lightsaber back over to his master be began to meditate to repair the missing end of his saber staff with the same end piece as he welded it together with the force as he now holds the completely repaired saber staff as Cal reclaiming it from his old master as he ignited both ends and swings it around a few times before deactivated the lightsaber.
"A final gift to my old student. Never forget your training my old padawan. Goodbye Cal. And tell the clone Sargent he has done his job well protecting you." As Tapal finished talking to Cal the force vision ended as he is brought back to the Jedi cruiser as Ahsoka and Anakin were trying to get him to wake up.
"Cal? Cal? Cal! Master I think he's finally waking up!" Said Ahsoka
"Cal. Thank the force you're awake. What happened?"
" I went into a deep force vision after I recited the oath. I saw my master and…my lightsaber!" As he grabbed his lightsaber repaired and activated it to see if it truly indeed works as it did in the vision. Both ends shoot out hot plasma as he swings his newly repaired lightsaber around before deactivating it again.
"Well master. I can safely say that's one of the most interesting experience I've ever seen since becoming a Jedi." Said Ahsoka
"Me and you both. His lightsaber was repaired without any outside intervention. It's almost if the force repaired it itself." Said Skywalker as all three Jedi looked confused about the situation they just encountered as they began to collect themselves as they prepare to make their next move.
"Well with that out of the way I'll be teaching the new oath to the Jedi order. No doubt master Yoda has been sending messages across the galaxy that I've been chosen to lead the Jedi order. I better contact obi wan and let him know the situation." Said Skywalker
"Better get started Skyguy." Said Ahsoka
"Wait that was you who created that nickname? Me and several other padawans were wondering who created it at the temple!" Said Cal
"Come on snips your didn't have to do that." Said Skywalker
"Snip? Oh this is to funny" said cal as the three of them laugh of their situation on board The Republic. Unaware of a situation being developed in the deep core in Coruscant.
Coruscant: 14bby: imperial palace
As the grand inquisitor returns to imperial center to report his findings to me I began to hone in my skills in the dark side as I fell the presence of the Grand Inquisitor enter my room as I finished practicing with the war droids
"Report. Grand inquisitor" I said
"We had an encounter with the GANR on Bracca and two of our inquisitors encountered a Jedi survivor. They inflicted damage to our imperial forces before I arrived. They retreat into hyperspace." Said the Grand inquisitor
"I suspect that you had a tracking beacon put on one of their ships?" I said
"No. One of the inquisitors did. I move been tracking where they exited and you'll be exited where. They're located on Dantooine. Home to a major GANR base and Kaminoan facility." Said the Grand Inquisitor
"Was there any other Jedi present during the battle?" I said
"Yes. Several thought one stood out to me. Master Skywalker was leading this assault." The Grand inquisitor said.
I was intrigued by this revelation. I wasn't expecting Skywalker to lead this assault since I put a massive bounty on him to be brought to me alive and for all imperial troops to bring him alive as well.
Very good Grand inquisitor. Deploy my fleet with yours so we can crush them together and to capture Skywalker myself." I said
"I already deployed the second and ninth sisters to locate them. Their fleets replaced with a much bigger task force that should destroy the resistance that is on Dantooine my master." Said the Grand Inquisitor
"I will join you when they complete their mission. Go to Dantooine and cut off any GANR reinforcements that may come and I will come down to deal with the Jedi myself." As I dismissed the Grand Inquisitor from my room I left my room minutes later to Inform my master about this development in the hunt for the Chosen One. I arrived to the Emperor's throne room flanked my several royal guards as I kneeled before my master and emperor.
"My master. My inquisitors have located Skywalker and a GANR force on Dantooine and we moving Into position to cut off the enemy!" I said
"Good my young apprentice good, we shall finally have Skywalker in our hands and deal a major blow to this rebellion. Are you ready to face Skywalker agin after what he left you?" Said sidious
"I am, Skywalker will either join us or die!" I said as I left the throne room and prepared to set off to finally finished the duel that once started in the temple all those years ago and either force Skywalker to join my side or die by my blade.
