(The Next Day)
Ryan and Ruby were in the elevator, heading up to Ozpin's office. "Sooo..." Ryan began, "How was-"
"The Dance?" Ruby interrupted, "Yeah, where did you and Yang Go?"
"Umm..." Ryan nervously replied, shocked to hear what Ruby had to say, "We... Uhh... Went for a little walk, Yeah." Ruby raised an eyebrow in suspicion for what Ryan had to say, as he nervously scratched the back of his head, "Uhhh... It was a long little walk?" He said, giving her a nervous smile, as the elevator made it to Ozpin's office, "HEY! Ozpin's office... Let's go!" The doors opened to the office, as the two walked out.
"We're not done talking about thi- *GASP!*" Ruby said in shock. Because standing tight there, right in front of her, was a woman. She has shoulder-length hair tied back in a half-up/half-down style and wore a hooded cloak which is white outside and red underneath. Under that cloak is a similar outfit to Ruby's but mostly black: a high-neck décolletage blouse with studded wristbands on the arms, a black and white overbust corset, a skirt with white tulle underneath, gray leggings, and knee-high boots with red soles. And having the same silver eyes, fair complexion, and graduating black-into-red hair as Ruby.
"No way!" Ryan said in a surprisingly shocked manner, as The woman looked back at the young huntress.
"Ruby?" She said.
"Mom!?" Ruby replied, having some tears in her eyes.
"Mom... WAIT! HOLY SHIT!" Ryan exclaimed, "YOU'RE SUMMER ROSE!?" Ruby and Summer ran towards each other, and the two hugged with loving care, with Ruby crying her eyes out with happiness.
"I... I... I... I thought you died!" Ruby said, crying into her mother's shoulder.
"I thought so, too!" Summer replied, looking her daughter in the eyes, "But then... I don't know what heppened!?"
"It's strange, Miss Rose?" Ozpin began, as X-PO walked up to the four.
"I was getting strange readings from Summer's Grave," He replied, "And... you might think it weird, but... they're the same readings I got from when we caught Vortech in the rift loop?"
"Strange?" Ryan said, cupping his chin, "Could this mean that it's already happening?"
"Oh, and Mr. Connell," Ozpin said, snapping Ryan out of his trance, "General Ironwood sent me a tape from... a Mr. Thompson's confession."
"Put it up... Please." Ryan replied, as Ozpin showed the video of Warbringer without his Armor on, battered and bruised.
"Alright," Ironwood said from the background, "I'm gonna ask you again!? Where is The Black Queen Club? Where is Roman Torchwick? And who are your associates!?" Warbringer hucked a loogie into Ironwood's face.
"GO TO FUCKING HELL!" Warbringer shouted, "I AIN'T TELLING YOU SHIT, YA PIG!"
"And Why's that?" A female voice said.
"I was FIRED By this... ONE ARMED ASSHOLE BACK IN MY WORLD! AND NOW, IT'S MY JOB TO MAKE SURE ARMY PIGS LIKE YOU DIE IN HELL!" Ironwood clocked him in the Jaw, causing him to spit out some blood, "Oh yeah... That's it Ironwood... Let that Dumb Semblance of yours take over, AND BEAT ME SHITLESS! YOU'RE GETTIN' NOTHING OUT OF ME!"
"TALK!" Ironwood shouted, pulling out a white revolver with a six-chambered hexagonal cylinder. It had an overall bulky, brick-like shape and possessed characteristics of both a revolver and a semi-automatic pistol, with both a cylinder and a slide. It also had two triggers and an external hammer. Intricate floral designs were etched onto the slide and grips and light fluorescent blue designs were below the barrel and on the cylinder. He pointed the weapon at Warbringer.
"You Don't have the guts to fire on me!" Warbringer Shouted, "Because If you did! You'd get no information!"
"THEN TALK!" The Female voice said.
"NEVER!" Warbringer shouted, as Ironwood Pulled back the hammer on his Due Process... But, instead of firing, he aimed his weapon at Warbringer's crotch, which made him go wide eye, "You wouldn't dare!"
"Try me!" Ironwood replied, "Like you said about my Semblance... it strengthens my resolve... But... I can use it to my advantage..." Ironwood hovered his finger over the trigger, as he slowly pulled back on it, whiched caused the hammer to slowly pull back as well.
"AAAAHHHH, ALRIGHT, I'LL TALK, I'LL SAY ANYTHING!" Warbringer pleaded, as Ironwood removed his weapon from Orenthal's crotch.
"Where's The Black Queen Club?" Ironwood asked, as Warbringer looked up at him.
"Alright... Alright!" He replied, breathing heavily, "We're moving goods out of Vale, and Into Argus... I was even supposed to keep tabs on the Robot Girl for a while, study her movements, find out how she worked so I could hack into Atlas' systems, and steal her data, That's All I know!"
"Anything else?" The Female Voice asked, "Locations, Names?"
"Okay..." Warbringer replied, "The load is being kept on a train in-" Before Warbringer could continue, he got shot in the head by someone, killing him, and ending the tape. Ozpin shut the video off, which made the four curious.
"My god." Summer said.
"Now THAT... Was a headshot!" X-PO Replied, "Any thoughts, Ryan?"
"That wasn't any shot to the head," Ryan replied, "Oz, rewind that video a bit, just a couple of seconds before the kill." Ozpin obliged to Ryan's request, as he stopped the video at the point of Warbringer's untimely death, "Hmmm..." Ryan said.
"Anything?" Ruby asked.
"Mind if I see Crescent Rose in it's sniper form?" Ryan asked, as Ruby pulled out her weapon, and put it into rifle mode.
"Wow!" Summer said, "Did you make that at Signal?"
"Yep!" Ruby Replied, "I had a little help from Uncle Qrow." Ruby handed Crescent Rose to Ryan, as he examined it.
"Just as I thought," He said, "That shot wasn't done by a regular Sniper Rifle."
"It... wasn't?" Summer asked.
"No," Ryan Replied, "It was done by a SRS99C-S2 AM Sniper Rifle. Which Uses 14.5 mm Fin-Stabilized rounds."
"But, Those are only handed out to the SPARTANS of project Freelancer." X-PO replied.
"Either one of the Reds or Blues have been hypnotized and gone bad," Ryan said, "Or we have a hitman on the loose."
"I'll notify Atlas immediately." Ozpin replied, "In the meantime, you and Ruby get ready for today."
"What about my Mom?" Ruby asked.
"We can't let her stay here," X-PO Replied, "I'll take her to a small apartment, not to far from here. That way, she can train for The Black Queen Club.
"Well," Summer began to say, "I... don't know where my weapon is?"
"I can help with that." Ryan replied, as he summoned The Third Book of War into his hand, and opened it to a specific page. Then, he reached in, and Pulled out a piece of chalk. He then drew a circle in mid air, with two triangles pointing at each other, which opened a portal to a strange land, with a different version of Ruby facing away. Ryan reached in, and pulled out a hunting rifle that was able to shift into an axe-like hybrid weapon with a trigger function, "Here you are!" Ryan said, Handing Summer her weapon.
"This is..." Summer said, "That was... Incredible! How did you do that."
"Strange-Fate Magic," Ryan replied, snapping his fingers, closing the time portal, "Never go to alternate Universes without it... Anyway, Ruby, we better get going."
"Right!" Ruby replied, hugging her Mom once more, "Bye Mom!" Ryan and Ruby headed back to the elvator, and proceeded to head back to their dorm room.
"She really has grown up... hasn't she?" Summer said to The Robot Best Friend of The King Grimm Reaper.
"She Has," X-PO Replied, "She's got a good team by her side... And someone she can call a friend."
A/N: WOW... What a Plot twist! Summer came back from the dead, Warbringer almost got his Nuts blown off, and I am SO PISSED OFF AT MY DAD! Look, some trivia, The second Female voice in the video was Harriet, and Summer's Weapon from Volume 9 is Canon in this story, so DON'T! Just... Just Don't. And If You Saw in Chapter 47, Summer's Voice Actress, for the time being, is Cate Blanchett, from How to Train Your Dragon 2.
