Chapter 13: The final battle:
The two opposing sides battled with such sheer force that the whole base shook from the impact.
Gallantmon and his antibody self clashed their lances back and forth. Gallantmon X used his shield to strike but the chivalrous knight Digimon blocked it with his shield.
MegaGargomon X unleashed a barrage of missiles at his counterpart. However, MegaGargomon leapt clear and returned fire with his own armament.
The two Sakuyamons clanged their spears back and forth. The antibody version sprang back and summoned four fire foxes around her. Sakuyamon canceled the attack with a spell of her own.
"Holy Desire!" Mastemon called out as she fired an arrow from her right arm at Sakuyamon X. The antibody Shaman snarled and parried the attack with her staff.
Kerpymon and her antibody counterpart slammed their foreheads against each other.
Justimon locked fists with his Antibody Counterpart while snarling at one another.
As MarineAngemon X was about to strike at MarineAngemon, a blast of phoenix fire shot towards him.
The corrupted angel dodged the attack. Suddenly, a phoenix's screech split the air. Two new Mega-level Digimon entered the fray.
One looked like a human-phoenix hybrid with her eyes hybrid. Her eyes were hidden by a red helmet-like mask. Orange-red hair flowed down. She has several gold bracers around her neck, bracelets on her arms while she has ring-like earrings on each hair strand. She also has a gold ring on each arm. She has dark orange feathers around her lower arms and on her legs just ending above the shins. Lighter orange skin are on her lower limbs, feet and hands. Huge beautiful orange phoenix sprouted from her back. Long, elegant crimson tail quills flowed down from above her rear. She wore a red bikini top with orange fabric covering most of her back area. Her lower half was concealed by a red loincloth.
The other is a silver centaur-like being wearing a beautiful gown over her entire stallion body. A silver mask covered her eyes and a gold and purple crown rested on her head. A single horn sprouted from her forehead. She has a silver hair and tail.
"Dawnmon! Fillymon! Are the Digimon safe?" Mastemon asked, recognising them.
"Yes. We freed them from their mind control and set them back to the Digital World. And you can call me Horizonmon," the phoenix digimon said.
"And I am Majestymon," the centaur one introduced herself.
"That's good that you've joined us. Let's do this," MegaGargomon said.
"Darkness Claw!" Beelzemon X yelled as he launched his claw cloaked in darkness.
"Horizon Line!" Horizonmon called. A bow of fire formed in her hand. Quickly she notched and fired pure blinding, scorching sunlight arrows to stop his attack.
"Royal of Honor!" Majestymon called. She summoned a jewel encrusted rapier shaped like a unicorn horn in her hand and slashed at the AntiBody Digimon across the chest.
"You stupid horse! How dare you get in my way?!" Beelzemon X snarled. He drew his guns and aimed at Majestymon.
Beelzemon then grabbed his arm and held it away from her.
"Hey, that's my Pony Girl you're referring to!" He said before he kicked his X counterpart in the stomach.
"Double Impact!" Beelzemon called taking his guns and fire hitting his double hard.
"Leave this one to us! Go help the others," Majestymon said to Horizonmon who nodded and headed off to aid MarineAngemon.
"Warning Laser!" Both Guardomon called firing beams from their eyes which collided together.
Justimon X slammed his fist into the ground to create a shockwave. Justimon jumped in the air to avoid the attack before going for the strike.
"Justice Kick!" he yelled and punted his foot his X double into his chest.
"Lightning Spear!" Kerpymon X bellowed out as she fired a spear of lightning at the original. Kerpymon just flew out of the way.
"So this is how it feels to Bio-Merge. This is awesome right, Lopmon?" Suzie said inside the mega Digimon.
"I am honored to hear that. But we need to stop my Anti Body self at all costs. All lives depend on it!" Lopmon spoke to her.
"Right. Let's show these guys that we do not kill innocent people!" Suzie grinned.
"Heaven's Judgement!" Kerpymon summoned magic thunder clouds and struck lightning at her counterpart.
Mastemon and Sakuyamon stood back to back as they avoided the many fire foxes coming from Sakuyamon X's attack.
"Howling Crusher!"
Sakuyamon X turns around in surprise to see SaberLeomon slash with his claws but she ducked away.
"SaberLeomon?" Mastemon asked in surprise.
"Forgive me, but I cannot let you guys have all the fun." SaberLeomon responded. "And I have a bone to pick with these guys!"
Jeri then walked up beside him and put an arm around him. "That's right. I won't let anyone harm all I care about, ever again."
"That's the spirit, Jeri." Alice said from within Mastemon.
"You think three on one would do you good? Victory will be mine!" Sakuyamon X snarled as she then called out "Fox Drive!"
She fired a massive fireball at the trio.
"I don't think so! Crystal Sphere!" Sakuyamon bellowed, creating a barrier to protect herself and her allies.
"Damn you! If only you didn't exist, I would have everything you had!" Sakuyamon X responded with a glare.
"Well my life is not for your taking!" Sakuyamon said as she held her staff.
"I could've had everything you have! Rika, friends, family, fame, fans, everything!" Her antibody self snarled.
"I am grateful that you brought me back to life but you made me into your puppet! You think I want YOU as my partner?" Rika snapped.
"Mastemon, SaberLeomon, combine with me!" Sakuyamon commanded as the other two nodded.
"Holy Desire!"
"Infinity Arrow!"
"Amethyst Mandala!"
The three Mega Digimon all attacked as one. Sakuyamon X's eyes widened as she was blasted back against a wall.
"Cosmic Sundial!" Horizonmon called and sent a powerful beam of burning light beneath MarineAngemon X hitting him hard in agony.
Guardromon then fired his Missile Barrage at his X copy. The enemy android groaned and then collapsed to the ground.
The two MegaGargomons skidded back after their missile attack.
"MegaGargomon X! Even though you did bring me back, I was glad, but you used a forbidden program to do it. Worse, you brainwashed me. Just stop this now and we'll let you go back to the Digital World in peace!" Henry warned.
"No! Not till I destroy my other self once and for all!" MegaGargomon X shouted. He lunged forward, trying to grab his upper body.
"Then I don't feel sorry for your defeat!" MegaGargomon snarked. He side-stepped his attacker and and then grabbed his legs.
"Mega Twister!" He bellowed as he spuns himself and his opponent around in a miniature twister before throwing him into Beelzemon X.
With their enemies down on the ground, the Knights saw their chance.
"Now! Attack all together!" MegaGargomon called to everyone. "GA Missile!"
"Spirit Strike!"
"Cosmic Sundial!"
"Infinity Arrow!"
"Double Impact!"
"Warning Laser!"
"Queen's Command!"
"Justice Burst!"
"Lighting Spear!"
"Howling Crusher!"
All of the heroic Digimon combined their powers together at the fallen Anti Body Digimon and created a huge explosion.
Gallantmon X has just blocked Gallantmon's lance with his shield where he turned around and saw all his allies had fallen.
"That just leaves you, 'oh, great leader'!" Beelzemon taunted as he and the others rushed over to Gallantmon's side.
"You cannot win against all of us!" Kerpymon pointed out.
"Don't be too sure. We still have one more trick left!" Gallantmon X snarled.
Sakuyamon X groaned as she slowly raised her head up and then lifted her hand. "Gallantmon X, take our power! Crush these vermin!"
The other Anti Body Digimon stretched their hands and green aura exited their bodies and into the X Knight. After expending their power they reverted to their rookie forms.
"He absorbed the energy from the others?!" Mastemon gasped.
"Now taste the power of the Anti Body Assassins!" Gallantmon X yelled as he held his lance in the air. "Lightning Storm!"
He fired multiple energy bolts from his launce which struck the hero group into a cloud of dust which struck over and over.
When he ceased the attack, he saw Majestymon, Horizonmon, Beelzemon, Guardromon, MarineAngemon, Mastemon, SaberLeomon, Jeri and Kerpymon were down. He gave a nasty grin.
It faded when seeing that Sakuyamon and MegaGargomon weren't defeated yet. They were kneeling behind Gallantmon. The Knightly Digimon had used his shield to protect himself and his friends.
"It's not over yet!" Gallantmon shouted.
"You are getting irritating! This last attack will end the Knights once and for all!" Gallantmon X snarled. The armored enemy raised his shield.
"We have to stop him, Guilmon!" Takato spoke. Gallantmon nodded and raised his shield and charged up.
"Shield of the Just!"
Both fired a massive beam from their shields. The beams struck each other head on.
"You may have stopped that for now but I have my allies' powers!" Gallantmon X snarled.
Gallantmon braced himself as the blast pushed him back. He felt the sting as stray threads of the attack hit him.
Suddenly, he stopped. He felt something supporting him from falling back further. Gallantmon turned his head to see Sakuyamon and MegaGargomon each holding his shoulder pads. His friends smiled as they gave the shining knight their power to fight on.
The others picked themselves up and copied the vixen priestess and the mecha-canine. Now all the Knights gave their strength to their leader.
"Here. Take our powers!" Horizonmon panted.
"If he gained power from his allies, then the same goes for us too." Justimon added.
"Yeah. And we have more allies than that anti body loser!" Mastemon panted.
"This is it! This will end this battle!" MegaGargomon said weakly.
"Defeat him, my love! You can do it!" Sakuyamon pleaded.
"Guys. Thank you..." Gallantmon said with a hidden smile.
"Let's end this, Guilmon!" Takato spoke up. But then he asked. "Love? What did you and Renamon do when Rika and I are dead?"
"I'll tell you later but now… we gotta focus!" Guilmon responded trying to get their focus back on the battle.
"Renamon, you better explain as well." Rika added.
"Right." Was all the vixen could say.
"Don't forget your favorite feline!" BlackGatomon chimed in.
"How are they going to explain THIS to Takato and Rika afterwards?" Alice mused with a sweat drop.
Gallantmon roared and pushed more power into his attack. The ray of light blasted through Gallantmon X's beam and consumed the hateful knight. The defeated foe gave one last cry of frustration as he was overwhelmed.
As the dust cleared, Guilmon X was seen on one of his knees panting. The other Anti Body Digimon crawled or staggered up to him.
With the battle all over, The Knights returned to their prime forms.
"Tch. Guess Takato did raise you well." Guilmon X spat bitterly.
"The battle is over. Now give up!" Fillymon said.
Suddenly from somewhere above, a green fireball came down and struck the computer containing the Reboot Program. It then set off a chain of explosions.
"No! Our equipment! Our program!" Impmon X cried out as all gazed in shock.
But what surprised Guilmon was the voice which greeted his ears.
"Good to see you, brother."
Guilmon's eyes went wide as he looked up at one of webwork of pipes above above.
It was another Guilmon but the scales colour of his scales were reversed: red markings over ebony. He wore a long black coat with silver pauldrons, black boots, and black trousers. The top of his coat was open to reveal his muscular chest, with leather suspenders crossed over it.
On his right was a black furred Renamon with purple markings. She wore a skin-tight red gown with a plunging neckline that exposed her tuff of fur, chest and abdomen, and only partially obscured her breasts. A black feather-like boa extends down the neckline to her waist and rests over her shoulders. She is barefooted too.
On his left was a black coloured Terriermon. He has an eye patch over his left eye. He wore a black leather jacket over a dark grey shirt and dark green pants. He wore biker boots too.
"BlackGuilmon?! BlackTerriermon?! And BlackRenamon too?!" Lopmon cried out.
"So they ARE alive!" Cyberdramon snarled.
"This is the BlackGuilmon and the others you told us about?" Dawnmon asked.
"Yes. They are dark evil versions of us, worse than the Anti Body Digimon. They were born from the dark negative sides of us!" Guardomon explained.
"So the main three showed up huh? Where're the rest of you?!" Impmon demanded.
"The others are back in the Digital World taking over Indramon's Syndicate into our own business. We came to tidy up loose ends." BlackTerriermon commented.
"What?! You're now in control of the Syndicate?!" Ryo asked.
The Anti Body Assassins glared at the new arrivals. But a loud rumbling alerted them to the base's soon collapse.
"We have no choice. Retreat for now!" Renamon X said to her leader.
Guilmon X nodded but turned back to Guilmon and the others. "This is far from over, Guilmon! We'll meet again!"
Before the Knights could stop them, Impmon X and Garudamon X fired fleeting attacks to cover their escape.
Impmon X's fireball and Guardromon X missile struck the ground, sending up clouds of smoke. When they subsided, they were gone.
"Dammit! The Anti Body jerks ran away again!" BlackGatomon hissed.
"Never mind them. We have bigger problems right now." Renamon said.
"We should return to the Digital World as well. We've done what we came here for. The Reboot Program is destroyed and our destiny has just begun." BlackRenamon said. Her allies nodded in agreement. The black vixen then opened a dark vortex behind them.
"BlackGuilmon!" Guilmon called out "Why did you come in the first place? What are you up to?!"
"Right now, it's to ruin those idiots' plans and make sure no one used that Reboot Program ever again. Besides, don't you think you should reunite with your human partners? They have been revived after all. But... don't you worry. We will meet again. And next time, we'll show no mercy. Farewell for now." BlackGuilmon smirked before he and his two comrades entered the portal and disappeared.
"Damn it! First the Anti Body Assassins and now, the Black Digimon took over the Syndicate! We must go to the Digital World and..." Terriermon began to nag.
"Everyone, wait. Let them go."
The Knights turned to their human partners who walked up to them.
"The Anti Body Assassins may have done some unforgivable actions, but they are not good or bad yet. They were consumed by jealousy of you guys." Henry explained. "I bet they only brought us back to life to make them feel more superior to you all. But when you freed us, their anger just took control of them."
"I can tell those Black Digimon are pure evil but they didn't come here to fight today. They only came to destroy the Reboot Program which could cause them a lot of trouble." Jeri added.
"Well, even if those Anti Body Digimon are not all evil, they aren't aligned with good either," Cyberdramon responded.
"I agree but let's not forget who brought us back to life. And the Black Digimon did take care of the Reboot Program for us," Rika pointed out. "Might I suggest we let both sides escape slide and call it even?"
"Very well. If that's your words as our Tamers then we cannot argue. We'll do that," Renamon said with a small smile.
"But let it be known. If those two ever attack the real world, The Knights will be there to punish them, right?" Takato announced.
"Right. Thank you, Takato." Guilmon said with a smile. Another rumble shook the cave. "Let's get out of here! The base and the warehouse are about to collapse!" he announced.
Everyone nodded and scrambled back to the tunnels just before the whole placed caved in.
