Chapter 14: The final chapter:

"The explosion destroyed every ounce of the base of the Anti Body Assassins and the Reboot Program. The Syndicate is now under the control of BlackGuilmon and the Black Digimon. They have gone back to the Digital World." Guilmon thought. "I am sure they are plotting some evil scheme to bring both worlds under their control. Some of the Digimon following them are doing so out of fear. There are still many things that we do not know yet."

"Guilmon X and the Anti Body Assassins booked it as well. There's nothing for them to hide now. But they did leave one parting gift: Anti Body Digimon soldiers. I guess to make sure that we don't get too comfortable. Or just to keep an eye on us. But they'll be back."

"Our partners have been revived but were put in a hospital to make sure they are safe to leave because of their new powers. They are just being reunited with their parents. It won't be long till they can return home and resume their daily lives before their deaths."

"And while the Real World's still dangling on an abyss and the Digital World's in deep fear, we got the grip of it now. This world is no longer the Syndicate or the Assassins's playground and we protect the Digital World too. Takashi Mishima is only the beginning."

In the hospital

"Oh, Takato. I'd never thought I'd see you again." Yoshie cried as she hugged her son close.

"The doctor's running some checks on you and then we can go back to being a family again," Takeshi said with tears in his eyes.

"Thanks, mum, dad. I missed you both so much" Takato said with a smile.

He looked around to see the Tamers also reuniting with their parents.

Rika was embarrassed as Rumiko smothered her close while Seiko chuckled.

Henry and Suzie were happily reunited with their parents, brothers and sisters.

Jeri's father pets Jeri's head in gratitude to have her back.

Ai and Mako come in too to give them welcome back gifts.

As the others happily reunite, Alice walked into the hospital wing, carrying a bouquet of flowers. She sets it on Takato's bedside.

"I am so glad you and Rika are back. If I am honest, I missed you both so much." Alice expressed in happiness.

"Thanks, Alice. It's good to be back" Takato smiled as he laid his head on the pillow. "Can't believe it's been years since our deaths."

"Yeah. Shame our Digimon aren't here right now. They said they need to do something important." Ryo added.

"They really grew so much. I hardly recognised them," Jeri said.

"Oh speaking of Digimon, Guilmon made you all good bread for your recovery," Takeshi spoke up. He held up a bread basket with many baked goods and placed them on each bedside.

They looked at the television and they saw Lee Kazama giving a victory speech.

"I am glad Mr Kazama won in the end," Janryu said. "Mishima is the one who sided with Indramon in the first place."

"He got what came to him! He sided with the ones who killed Rika and the others in the first place," Rumiko spoke with a scowl, showing no sympathy for him.

Then as the news was about to go to the next topic, the tv went static for a bit before it showed Guilmon's face on the monitor.

"Guilmon!" Takato called out as all turned to the screen. The red reptile's face was broadcast on every monitor and screen in all of the city.

"The Syndicate and the Anti Body Assassins are still among us," Guilmon announced to the world, "They still think the Real World is theirs to terrorize. But now, we're the ones watching. They can no longer lurk in the shadows. They will face the Digimon Knights. The people and Digimon of both the Real World and the Digital World deserve some good. It's way overdue. I promise you all. We will fight for you all till our last dying breath!"

And then the screens returned to normal.

"Heh, our Digimon have really grown up haven't they?" Ryo chuckled.

"Yeah. But we're here as well. Since now we got our new powers," Jeri said.

"Once we're out of the hospital, we need to train and gain control over this new abilities," Henry responded.

"And I'll help monitor you all," Alice offered.

"Thanks. But our Digimon should know, we'll be there to help them as well," Rika announced.

Takato smirked and clenched his fist. Small flames sparked from his hand. And then he said proudly "Yeah, even though we are their Tamers, they will forever be... the Digimon Knights."

Outside the building, all the Digimon Knights gathered together to check on their Tamers.

Guardromon let MarineAngemon and Calumon rest on his shoulders.

Leomon crossed his arms and smirked.

Dawnmon sits cross-legged on one of the statues and grinned.

Fillymon has an arm around Impmon who put his arm around her back.

Lopmon has her arms and ears wrapped around Terriermon as they rejoiced at the Wong family.

Renamon and BlackGatomon encircled their arms around Guilmon. Their heads rested on each of his pecs. The red dinosaur rubbed both their backs making them purr a little.

Then they all gazed at the full moon. Their battles have been won for now but the war is far from over.

The Digimon Knights' fight for peace has just begun.
