Screeching voices,
Fires crackle,
People lost in their own anger.
War cries screamed and yelled
Throughout the starless night.
Can't it end?
This pointless battle,
Brings no victory
To either side.
Unable to stand it,
I hide my wails of sorrow
Underneath the screams of war.
