CHAPTER 15:
Two days later on November 29th, 2014, the day of Meg and Trevor's wedding finally came. It was a day that Meg has fantasized about ever since being a teenager. Before she moved to New York, part of her was worried that her big day would never come, but moving to New York made a positive impact on her life from the day she met Hayley to all the firsts she had with Trevor. Now, Meg was waiting outside the chapel with her mother.
"You ready for this, Meg?" Lois asked.
"You have no idea, Mom. I'm really glad you opted to give me away today. I know it's normally the father's job, but I'd never ask Dad to do it," Meg said.
"I understand. Well, let's get out there!" Lois said, excited.
"Right on!" Meg said, also excited.
As the Wedding March played, Meg walked down the aisle as Trevor waited for her at the altar.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join this man and this woman in holy matrimony." the minister said. "I believe you two had some vows prepared?"
"I'll go first," Meg said. "Trevor, like I've told you before, my whole life I've been used to being verbally abused wherever I go. And now moving to New York helped me explore the things I've missed out on life. And one of them was meeting you. I am so honored to be standing here with you."
Lois couldn't help but shed a tear upon hearing Meg's vows.
"Meg, I am so proud of the woman you've grown to become. Not only have you found the courage to stand up for yourself, but you managed to make something of yourself. I've wanted this day to happen too, and now it is. I promise to always be faithful to you through thick and thin," Trevor said.
"Do you, Trevor Edwards, take Megan Griffin to be your lawfully wedded wife?" the minister asked.
"I do!" Trevor said.
"And do you, Megan Griffin, take Trevor Edwards to be your lawfully wedded husband?" the minister asked.
"I do!" Meg said.
"By the power vested in me, by the state of New York, I now pronounce you two husband and wife!" the minister declared as the newly married couple shared a kiss.
Later that day at Meg and Trevor's wedding reception, everyone was enjoying their meals when Hayley came over to the bride and groom.
"Congratulations, Meg," Hayley said, hugging her.
"Thanks, Hayley. I can't believe I'm saying this, but this day probably never would've happened if we hadn't become roommates," Meg admitted.
"I'm glad I could make a positive outcome on your life." Hayley said. "So, where's the honeymoon?"
"We're going to Disney World!" Trevor said.
I may never get a chance to hug Mickey or Minnie Mouse; though I did Mention to Trevor, that if I got a photo I´d start an Instagram account and that picture would be the first pic I´d upload." Meg explained.
"And if you ever start that Instagram account, just let me know and I'll be your first follower," Hayley proposed.
"Sounds like a plan," Meg said.
