X-Men; An Unnatural Omega Part 2: Oh Father, where art thou?
Chapter 5: Split Personality Syndrome, the Monolith and The Second Incursion
…
"One hour after kroako healed and the damage was repaired". "In Derrick's room".
Derrick was giving a blank expression to his poster as Mr. Rat squeaked in his little cage while nibbling on a chocolate chip cookie and looking up.
….."You lost control".
Derrick looked over at his backpack where the presence was resonating from while he rubbed his head with his gloved figures.
….."How long have you been holding back"? "How long have you been going without that one feature that gives you a thrill"?
"…..Too long….." Derrick replied. Not liking this particular voice in question.
The voice chuckled as it uttered its next sentence.
"How long till they throw you out after exploiting you"?
Derrick was hearing the familiar ringing of an all too familiar item in the dark of his backpack as he stood up and walked over to it.
"Things like us, even the so called gods can't handle, so how long till, "all", learn the truth about our nature".
For once derrick had a serious expression on his face as he reached down into the backpack.
"When will you finally let go"?
He pulled out a long black rectangular shaped monolith with rounded edges and corners that could fit in his palm.
It slowly shifted and changed in waves like miniature scales that lifted and flattened till a new item was in its place.
The item in question was shaped like a hammer on one side but had a pair of hooked axe blades on the other side that fused into a prying tool with a medium/short handle in the center that could be held by his hands plus another one and a thick pommel on the bottom. The head of the weapon spanned shoulder to shoulder in length and was almost seven inches in width.
It glowed in the air with a very real, very, "unnatural", "Power" behind it in the black material. Like something that wasn't supposed to be in this universe or plain of existence, like something from outside the spheres of realities.
"Something from outside the Multiverse", the voice said resonating more clearly now.
"And something that could damage it if I go all out." Derrick said in a thoughtful tone.
As Derreck examined the monolith, the object seemed to vibrate with excitement. The voice in his head, which he now realized was coming from the monolith itself, spoke up again.
"I think it's time for me to stretch my legs, so to speak," the voice said.
Derreck raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
"I want to show you what I'm capable of," the voice replied. "I want to get out of your backpack and into the world."
Derreck hesitated, not sure if he was ready to unleash the power of the monolith. But curiosity got the best of him, and he nodded in agreement.
The monolith hummed and began to shift and change in Derreck's hand, morphing into four or five different shapes and sizes. Each one was unique, with its own set of features and abilities.
Derreck examined each one carefully, balancing the weight of the objects in his hands. The monolith seemed to radiate with an otherworldly energy, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and fear.
But as he looked closer, he realized that the monolith was not tempting him to use its power. It simply wanted to be free, to explore the world and see what it was capable of.
Derreck felt a pang of guilt for keeping the monolith hidden away for so long. He knew that he needed to control his powers, but he also didn't want to deprive the monolith of its own existence.
"Okay," he said finally. "Let's do it."
The monolith shifted once more and settled into a final shape, one that felt right to Derreck. He held it tightly in his hand, feeling the power coursing through his veins.
For the first time in a long time, he felt alive.
…
After Derreck examined the various forms that the monolith took on, he looked up at the object with a curious expression.
"Can you talk?" he asked, almost uncertain of whether he wanted an answer.
The monolith hummed softly before responding. "I can communicate, but not in the traditional sense. It is more like a telepathic connection."
Derreck nodded, somewhat relieved that he was not going completely crazy. "And you won't tempt me anymore if I examine you further?" he asked.
The monolith hummed and began to shift and change in Derreck's hand, morphing into seven different shapes and sizes. Each one was unique, with its own set of features and abilities.
As the monolith continued to morph, it eventually settled into the form of a massive, two-handed claymore sword, with a blade longer than Derreck's body. The sword glowed with the same unearthly power as the monolith had before, and Derreck could feel the weight of it in his hand, even though he had yet to touch it.
The voice in his head spoke up again. "This is the sword of destruction," it said. "It has the power to cut through almost anything. Its forms are manifestations of immense power and versatility. But be careful, as their power is not to be taken lightly."
Derreck couldn't help but feel a sense of awe as he gazed at the massive sword. He knew that its power was immense and that he would need to be careful if he ever wielded it. He examined it closely, feeling the weight and balance of the sword in his hand, but he didn't feel the temptation to use it, knowing the destruction it could bring.
As Derreck examined the monolith, it began to shift and change once again. This time, it settled into the form of a single-headed battle axe, with a curved handle that had an S-shape. The axe blade was sharp and gleaming, with a black aura surrounding it.
Derreck couldn't help but feel a sense of familiarity with the weapon. "Did you steal this from Thor?" he asked, half-jokingly.
The monolith's voice echoed in his head. "No," it replied. "But the power of this axe is similar to that of Mjolnir."
Derreck hefted the axe, feeling the weight of it in his hand. He could feel the power coursing through the weapon, and he knew that it could shatter shields and armor alike. He examined the axe closely, trying to find any flaws or weaknesses in its design.
"This is a formidable weapon," Derreck said, impressed with the monolith's creation.
The voice in his head spoke up again. "Each form I take has its own unique abilities and powers," it said. "But be careful, as their power is not to be taken lightly."
Derreck nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. He knew that he couldn't let the power of the monolith consume him. But he also knew that he needed to be prepared for the darkness that was approaching.
As Derreck examined the axe, the monolith spoke up again. "This is the Axe of Annihilation," it said. "If you were to go all out with this weapon and hit something of similar strength, the impact would be so great that it could tear a hole in reality and splinter the World Tree in Asgard."
Derreck's eyes widened at the thought. He had never considered the full extent of his power, and the consequences of losing control were becoming more apparent to him.
The monolith continued. "I'm not trying to scare you, but you need to understand the magnitude of what you're capable of. Your power is not to be taken lightly."
Derreck nodded slowly, still processing the implications of the monolith's words. He knew that he needed to be careful, and that he couldn't let his powers get out of control.
"I understand," he said finally. "And I promise to be careful."
The monolith hummed in response, seemingly satisfied with Derreck's answer. It shifted and changed again, morphing into a new form.
As Derreck examined the monolith further, it began to shift again, this time into a pair of chains, each with three meat hooks on each end. The chains glowed with the same unearthly power as the previous forms, and Derreck could feel the weight of them in his hands.
The voice in his head spoke up once more. "These are the chains of chaos," it said. "They can ensnare anything, and their hooks can tear through even the toughest of materials. But be careful, as their power is not to be underestimated."
Derreck felt a sense of unease as he gazed at the chains. He knew that their power was immense, and that if he were to go all out with them, they could do serious damage. The voice in his head explained further, warning him that if he were to hit something with similar strength, the chains could rip a tear to the neighboring worlds, causing irreparable damage.
Derreck took a deep breath and set the chains down, feeling overwhelmed by the power of the monolith's forms. He knew that he would need to be careful with these weapons, as their power was not to be taken lightly.
The voice in his head continued, cautioning him about the chains' ability to cause searing pain that even beings like Ghost Rider and Mephisto would not be able to handle. The memory of such pain alone could kill the subject, the voice explained.
Derreck listened intently, realizing that the monolith was not trying to tempt him but rather warn him about the true extent of the weapons' power. He knew that he would need to be careful when using them and that he should only use them as a last resort.
As Derreck examined the form of the monolith, it began to shift and morph again, this time into a black, tar-like substance that covered his hands. The substance glowed with the same unearthly power as the previous forms, and Derreck could feel the energy coursing through his body as he controlled the substance.
The voice in his head spoke up once more. "This is the essence of destruction," it said. "It can take on any form you desire and has the power to create unpredictable doppelgangers that can match even the strongest of foes. But be careful, as its power is not to be taken lightly."
Derreck felt a sense of excitement as he gazed at the black substance, knowing that he now possessed a weapon unlike any other. The voice in his head explained further, telling him that the substance could only be controlled by him and could not be separated from him, no matter what.
Derreck nodded in understanding, feeling a sense of responsibility for the power that he now held. He knew that he needed to use it wisely and keep it under control, lest it consume him.
As the monolith began to shift again, it transformed into a mace with a diamond-shaped head, which was covered in soft pyramid-shaped spikes. The mace glowed with an eerie, crimson light, and Derreck could feel the power emanating from it.
The voice in his head spoke up once again. "This is the mace of blood," it said. "It has the power to manipulate a person's blood, giving you control over their movements and abilities. But be careful, as its power is not to be taken lightly."
Derreck couldn't help but feel a sense of unease as he gazed at the mace. The thought of having control over someone else's blood made him shudder, but he knew that its power could be useful in certain situations. He also knew that he would need to be careful with this weapon, as its power was not to be taken lightly.
He tentatively reached out to take the mace, feeling the weight of it in his hand. The monolith hummed in satisfaction as it settled into Derreck's grasp, seemingly pleased with its new form.
As the monolith transformed into the shield, Derreck could feel the weight of its power in his hands. The shield was sturdy and well-crafted, with a sphere in the center that glowed with an otherworldly energy.
The voice in his head spoke up once again, cautioning him about the shield's power. "This is the shield of nullification," it said. "Its sphere has the ability to nullify the powers of any being it comes into contact with, making them completely normal. But be careful, once their powers are taken away, they cannot regain them without your consent, no matter what."
Derreck felt a sense of unease at the thought of taking away someone's powers permanently. He knew that it was a great responsibility, and he would need to be careful with its use.
As the monolith vanished into Derreck's backpack and mind, the forms it had taken were no longer visible in the room. Derreck let out a sigh of relief knowing that the immense power of the monolith was no longer on display.
He looked around his room, taking in the posters on his walls and the scattered belongings on his desk. He couldn't help but wonder how the monolith had come into his possession and what its true purpose was.
The voice in his head broke his thoughts. "You will learn more in time," it said. "For now, you must focus on controlling your powers and keeping the darkness at bay."
Derreck nodded slowly, knowing that the voice was right. He had a responsibility to use his powers wisely and not let the darkness consume him. He made a mental note to practice more with his abilities and to explore the true potential of the monolith.
…
New York City
As Peter sat on the rooftop, he reflected on his conversation with She-Hulk. She had told him about the alternate universes and the concept of the multiverse.
But his thoughts were quickly interrupted by the sight of a dark crack forming in the air above the cities street. He knew immediately what it meant - another incursion from the dark multiverse. The crack was small at first, like a hairline fracture in a window, but he knew that it would not be long until it grew into something much larger and more dangerous.
He pulled out his phone and quickly contacted the Avengers, letting them know about the incursion and its location. He knew that he needed to act fast, and that he could not face the dangers of the dark multiverse alone.
As he waited for the Avengers to arrive, he could not help but wonder what other horrors awaited them in the dark multiverse. He hoped that they would be able to stop the incursion before it caused too much damage, but deep down, he knew that the road ahead would be full of challenges and danger.
As Peter sat on the rooftop, he reflected on his conversation with She-Hulk. She had told him about the alternate universes and the concept of the multiverse, but what stuck with him the most was her description of the dark multiverse. She had mentioned a spider centaur monster, a creature that apparently all humans were naturally like in that world.
Peter found the idea disturbing, as he already struggled with his spider nature. He had turned into a spider monster in the past, but it had never been as severe as what She-Hulk had described. The thought of a world where everyone was like that made him shudder.
As the crack in the sky continued to grow, Peter's nerves began to kick in. He wasn't excited like he would be on a typical superhero mission - this was different. This was an incursion from the dark multiverse, and the thought of what horrors could emerge from it made him feel sick to his stomach.
He glanced over at Norman Osborn, who was standing nearby with the Fantastic Four, and he could see the fear in his friend's eyes. They had all heard stories about the dark multiverse and what it had unleashed in the past, and the thought of facing it head-on was daunting.
Peter took a deep breath and tried to focus. He knew that he had to be strong for his friends and for the people of New York. They were counting on him and the other heroes to protect them from whatever emerged from that crack.
The Avengers and X-Men began to formulate a plan, discussing their options and weighing the risks. Peter listened intently, trying to absorb as much information as possible. He knew that they would have to work together if they had any hope of stopping whatever was coming through that crack.
Peter, however, could not shake the feeling of unease that settled in his stomach. He had heard about the creatures that had emerged during the previous incursion, including the unsettling visions they had been shown about their counterparts in other worlds. The thought of facing similar horrors made him nervous, not excited.
The group cautiously approached the crack, hoping to formulate a plan to close it before it fully opened. The crack seemed small at first, like a mere crease in the sky, but they knew that it was only a matter of time until it grew into something much larger and more dangerous.
Norman Osborn, now a trusted ally, stood by their side, his eyes scanning the surrounding area for any signs of danger. The memory of the last incursion still weighed heavily on him, but he refused to let fear hold him back.
As Reed continued to check his readings, the Shield arrived on the scene, quickly setting up a perimeter to keep civilians at a safe distance. They knew all too well the dangers of the dark multiverse and were prepared to face whatever may come.
Ben Grimm, Johnny Storm, and Susan Storm stood off to the side, still trying to wrap their heads around the concept of the dark multiverse. Peter could see the fear in their eyes, and he knew that they were right to be cautious. The dark multiverse was a place of unimaginable horrors, and they were about to face it head on.
Reed finally spoke up, his voice steady and firm. "We need to approach this with caution," he said. "We don't know what's on the other side of that crack, and we can't afford to take any risks."
The group nodded in agreement, and they began to form a plan of attack. They knew that they needed to act fast before the crack grew any larger and the creatures of the dark multiverse spilled into their world.
Ben Grimm, Johnny Storm, and Susan Storm stood off to the side, their expressions grave as they watched the crack in the sky grow larger by the minute. They had never seen the dark multiverse before, and they were still trying to wrap their heads around the concept.
Meanwhile, Peter sat on the rooftop nearby, watching with a mix of nervousness and dread. He had heard about the dark multiverse from the Avengers and knew that this could mean the arrival of all sorts of terrifying creatures.
As the crack grew larger, the heroes exchanged worried glances, unsure of what to expect. They knew that they needed to act quickly and decisively if they were going to have any chance of stopping whatever was coming through.
Reed Richards, the leader of the Fantastic Four, checked his readings warily. He had studied the dark multiverse extensively, but even he couldn't predict what horrors would emerge from the crack.
As they waited, tension hung heavy in the air. No one knew what to expect, but they all knew that it wouldn't be good.
The larger one stepped forward, his sword drawn. "Surrender the half-breed," he growled. "Our grandfather demands it."
The heroes were taken aback. "Who do you mean by grandfather?" Spider-Man spoke up, his voice firm.
The smaller one stepped forward, his own sword at the ready. "Derreck's brother," he said simply.
The heroes were stunned. They had heard stories of Derreck's half-brother, who had come from the dark multiverse, but they had never met him or his offspring.
As the larger figure landed on the dragon's back, the heroes noticed the crescent moon symbol on its forehead. It resembled the emblem of Moon Knight, and the realization of the creature's origin struck them with a mix of shock and horror.
The figure chuckled menacingly as he looked down at the heroes, his sword at the ready. The broken neck of the dragon hung limply beneath him, and he seemed to relish in the power he wielded.
"Our grandfather has plans for him," the smaller figure said, his eyes fixed on the heroes. "And we will not leave without him."
The heroes were taken aback by the sheer power and cruelty of the figures. As they watched on as the taller one jumped off the dragons body, followed by the smaller one.
"We can't just give him to you," Spider-Man continued, his eyes fixed on the two imposing figures. "We need to know who you are and why you want him."
Slaughvind let out a deep, guttural laugh. "You fools," he spat. "You have no idea who you're dealing with. We are the sons of the conqueror, the rulers of the dark multiverse. We will not be denied what is rightfully ours."
The heroes tensed up, ready for a fight. But Slaughvind simply stood there, his sword held at the ready, a smug look on his face.
"We have come to claim what is ours," he continued. "Derreck's blood runs through our veins, and we will not rest until we have him in our grasp."
"Listen," he said, holding up his hands in a gesture of peace. "We don't want any trouble. We just want to talk. Maybe we can come to some sort of arrangement."
Slaughvind sneered at him. "You think you can negotiate with us?" he said. "We are not here to negotiate. We are here to take what is ours."
The heroes stood their ground, their eyes fixed on the two dark figures. They knew that they were in for a fight, but they also knew that they couldn't back down. They had to protect Derreck at all costs.
The larger one stepped forward, his sword drawn. "Surrender the half-breed," he growled. "Our grandfather demands it."
As the heroes stood their ground, Slaughvind continued to taunt them. Suddenly, the larger figure stepped forward and pulled out a patch from his pocket. The heroes recognized it immediately - it was Captain America's patch.
The figure sneered as he held it up for all to see. "This is the symbol of your beloved hero in our world," he said, his voice dripping with contempt. "But in our world, he is a traitor to all that is good and just. He is a pawn of Hydra, a monster who has caused endless suffering and death."
Slaughvind noticed the other heroes gathered around them and sneered. "We have heard of you," Vindslaughter said, eyeing Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four with disdain. "Pathetic creatures, all of you."
The X-Men stepped forward, ready to defend their allies. "Watch your tongue," Wolverine growled.
The larger figure, Slaughtvindor, turned his attention to the heroes. "We know of your counterparts in our world," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "The Fantastic Four, the X-Men, Spider-Man... they all fell before us. You will be no different."
Slaughvind sneered as he surveyed the heroes. "We have conquered countless universes in the dark multiverse," he boasted. "And in each one, we find twisted versions of heroes like yourselves. The Fantastic Four, for example, were grotesque monstrosities that consumed entire planets. And Spider-Man? He was a horrific spider-human hybrid that preyed on innocent civilians."
Vindslaughter chimed in. "As for your precious X-Men," he snarled. "They were nothing more than ruthless killers who exterminated the rest of humanity in the name of mutant superiority."
The heroes were taken aback. They had heard of the dark multiverse and the twisted versions of themselves that existed there, but they had never heard such disturbing details. The thought of their counterparts being so inhuman was unsettling.
Captain America stood up, holding his shield firmly in his hand. He glanced over at the other heroes, silently acknowledging their shared goal to protect their universe from these dark multiverse conquerors.
"You may have conquered other universes, but you won't conquer ours," Captain America declared, his voice firm and determined.
The heroes tensed, ready for whatever the Slaughvind had in store for them. They knew that they were in for a tough fight, but they were determined to protect their world from these dangerous interdimensional invaders.
As Slaughvind spoke, the heroes tensed up, ready for a fight. Wolverine tried to rush him, claws at the ready, but to his surprise, his attacks barely scratched the figure. Slaughvind looked almost amused by the effort.
"You are weak," he sneered. "You cannot even scratch me. Do you honestly think you can stand against us?"
With a swift movement, Slaughvind swung his sword with incredible force, hitting Wolverine with enough power to knock the air out of him and send him flying into the top of a nearby building. The impact shattered windows and caused debris to rain down onto the street below.
The heroes looked on in shock as they saw the sheer power of Slaughvind's attack. They knew they were facing a formidable foe and that they had to fight with all their might if they were to have any chance of defeating him.
As the heroes charged at the two brothers, the larger one picked up a nearby car and hurled it at them with incredible force. Spider-Man managed to dodge out of the way, but She-Hulk was hit square in the chest, sending her flying backward.
As the brothers continued their assault on the heroes, Jean Grey attempted to shut down their minds. But to her horror, she was met with a chaotic and divine darkness that left her reeling. She stumbled and fell into Cyclops' arms, her nose bleeding from the effort.
As Cyclops caught her, he looked up at the towering figure of the older brother. "What did you do to her?" he demanded, fear and anger in his voice.
The brothers simply chuckled. "Your friend has seen things that no mortal mind was meant to see," the older one said. "We simply showed her the truth of the universe."
Scott looked confused. "What truth?" he asked.
The brothers smirked. "Oh, nothing important," the younger one said. "Just that our grandfather has plans for Derreck and for all of you."
Scott glared at them, not liking the sound of that. "What do you mean by that?" he asked.
The brothers simply laughed, enjoying the fear and confusion that they were causing.
The smaller brother let out a sly chuckle. "You know, it's funny," he said. "You mutants claim to be cheating death with your resurrection, but are you really? Or are you just creating clones of yourselves?"
The heroes bristled at the accusation, but the brother continued. "And even if you are creating clones, what about the souls of your past selves? Are they still trapped in limbo, or have you left them behind?"
Scott stepped forward, his eyes narrowing. "What are you trying to say?" he demanded.
The larger brother stepped forward, a menacing smirk on his face. "We know things, Scott Summers," he said. "Things that your precious X-Men council would rather keep hidden. Like the fact that you've let Mr. Sinister onto your quiet council, and embraced a power that even the gods fear."
Jean Grey's eyes widened as she heard the brothers' words about the souls of their past selves. She felt a shiver run down her spine and her hands trembled with the weight of the knowledge she had gained from their minds. Rogue looked horrified, realizing the implications of what the brothers were saying about the nature of resurrection.
Kitty Pride looked conflicted, as if questioning her own beliefs about what it means to cheat death. Gambit, on the other hand, looked angry and frustrated, as if the brothers had struck a nerve with his own past experiences.
As the younger brother continued to taunt them with his words, he also engaged in physical combat, smashing Ben Grim into the street over and over again like a rag doll. The heroes could feel the weight of his blows, and they knew that they had to act fast if they were going to stop him.
Scott turned to his team, his voice urgent. "We have to take them down," he said. "Whatever it takes. We can't let them destroy everything we've worked for."
The heroes exchanged wary glances, unsure if the brothers were telling the truth or simply trying to mess with their heads. Only Jean knew the truth, having seen the depths of the brothers' minds during her earlier attempt at telepathy.
Suddenly, the older brother grabbed Scott by the neck and threw him like a rag doll towards Iron Man, who barely managed to catch him in time.
As Captain America landed a blow to the younger brother's face with his shield and Kitty Pride stepped in, the brother let out a dark chuckle. "And how many times have you been resurrected already?" he sneered, still holding Jean Grey in his grasp.
As Jean looked around at the heroes and Scott, she suddenly noticed a change in the atmosphere. The older and younger brothers had stopped their assault and turned their attention to something behind them. Following their gaze, she saw Derreck approaching, a fierce look on his face.
The heroes were taken aback by the brother's knowledge of their abilities, and the doubts that had been brewing within them began to deepen. Could they truly be sure that their resurrections were not just creating clones of themselves, with their true selves trapped in limbo?
As the brothers taunted the heroes about their secrets, doubts began to creep into the minds of the mutants. Were they truly cheating death with their resurrection, or were they simply creating clones? And what about the souls of their past selves, were they trapped in limbo? The non-mutant heroes were unsure of what to make of this talk of resurrection and clones.
Suddenly, the smaller brother brought up the memory of Onslaught, a powerful psychic entity that had once taken over the mind of Charles Xavier and nearly destroyed the world. "You mutants claim to be so powerful," he sneered. "But even you couldn't stop Onslaught. And don't forget, he's still inside your heads, waiting to make his move."
The heroes exchanged worried glances, knowing that the brother was right. Onslaught was a constant threat, lurking in the shadows of their minds, waiting for the right moment to strike.
But the brothers weren't done yet. They revealed the truth about Maria, a mutant who could be reborn after every death. The heroes were shocked, realizing that even they didn't know the full extent of their own powers and abilities.
The Avengers, who had been watching the battle from a distance, were equally stunned by the revelations. They knew that they had to act quickly to stop these two figures from the dark multiverse and protect their world from their destructive power.
As the battle raged on, the younger brother suddenly grabbed Jean Grey by the arm, pulling her close and looking into her eyes. "Am I wrong?" he asked, his voice filled with a dark curiosity.
Jean tried to pull away, but the brother held on tight, staring at her intently. She could feel his power, his darkness, his chaos. It was overwhelming.
The other heroes watched in horror as the brother continued to hold Jean captive, unsure of what to do. They knew that they were facing an enemy unlike any they had encountered before, one that was not only physically powerful, but mentally as well.
Meanwhile, the older brother continued his assault, throwing Scott Summers to Iron Man like a plaything and smashing Ben Grimm into the ground over and over again. The heroes were struggling to keep up, their doubts and fears only growing with each passing moment.
And then, the brothers dropped another bombshell, revealing the truth about Maria, a mutant who could be reborn after every death. The Avengers and X-Men alike were stunned, realizing that they had been keeping secrets from each other for far too long.
As Captain America landed a blow to the younger brother's face with his shield and Kitty Pride stepped in, the brother let out a dark chuckle. "And how many times have you been resurrected already?" he sneered, still holding Jean Grey in his grasp.
The heroes were taken aback by the brother's knowledge of their abilities, and the doubts that had been brewing within them began to deepen. Could they truly be sure that their resurrections were not just creating clones of themselves, with their true selves trapped in limbo?
Meanwhile, the Avengers looked on in shock, realizing that they were facing a threat that was not only physical, but also psychological.
The younger brother noticed Logan's return and saw the anger in his eyes. "Ah, Wolverine, how nice of you to join us," he taunted. "Do you have any more futile attempts to make?"
Logan snarled and lunged at the younger brother, claws at the ready. The two engaged in a vicious battle, neither willing to back down.
Meanwhile, the heroes continued to fight against the two imposing figures, their doubts and fears growing with each passing moment. They knew that they were up against something far more powerful than they had ever encountered before.
She-Hulk charged at the larger brother, her strength on full display as she aimed a powerful punch at his face. But he simply grabbed her arm and tossed her aside like a ragdoll.
Iron Man fired his repulsor beams, but they seemed to have no effect on the brothers. Captain America charged at them with his shield, but it was quickly knocked away.
Spider-Man swung around the battlefield, trying to distract the brothers and find a weakness. But they seemed invulnerable to his attacks.
The younger brother smirked as he continued to taunt the heroes. "And let's not forget about Maria," he said, a hint of amusement in his voice. "Charles Xavier knew she was a mutant, but he kept that little detail from all of you. This is the tenth time she's been reborn, and you still have no idea."
The heroes were stunned by this revelation, and they exchanged wary glances. Meanwhile, Logan was seething with anger, his fists clenched as he fought to control the beast within. He knew that he had to stay focused if they were going to have any chance of defeating these two formidable foes.
"We don't have time for this," She-Hulk spoke up, her voice firm. "We need to stop them before they cause any more damage."
Jean felt her heart racing as the two brothers continued to speak, revealing secrets and planting doubts in the minds of the heroes. She couldn't help but wonder if they were telling the truth, or if they were simply trying to manipulate them.
The thought of clones and lost souls trapped in limbo sent shivers down her spine. Was their resurrection truly a cheat of death, or was it something far more sinister? And the revelation about Maria, a mutant who could be reborn after every death, shook Jean to her core. She couldn't help but wonder what other secrets Xavier had kept from them, and what else they didn't know.
As the younger brother grabbed her and taunted her, Jean felt a surge of anger and fear. She had seen the darkness in their minds, the chaos and divine power that they possessed. But she couldn't help but wonder if they were right about the X-Men's resurrection and Xavier's secrets.
The sight of Scott on the ground, tears in his eyes, only added to Jean's fears. She knew that the X-Men were facing not only a physical threat but a mental one as well. Could they trust their own abilities and judgment when facing foes who wielded such power?
As the brothers suddenly stopped and turned to face Derreck, Jean's heart sank. What was their connection to him, and what did they want with him? The uncertainty and fear gnawed at Jean as the battle continued, and she knew that she and the other heroes would have to stay strong and vigilant if they were going to come out of this alive.
Jean couldn't believe what she had just heard from the brothers. The revelation about the true nature of resurrection had shaken her to her core, and the fact that Xavier had known all along only made it worse. She couldn't help but feel a sense of betrayal towards her mentor and friend.
As she looked around at her fellow heroes, she could see the shock and uncertainty on their faces. They were all grappling with the implications of what they had just learned, and Jean knew that it would take time for them to come to terms with it.
But amidst the chaos and confusion, there was a glimmer of hope. Derreck had arrived, and the brothers seemed pleased to see him. Jean didn't know what Derreck could do, but she knew that he was a powerful being with a connection to the dark-multiverse.
Perhaps he could help them find a way to overcome the darkness that threatened to consume them all. Jean could feel the weight of the responsibility on her shoulders, but she knew that she was not alone.
Derreck held the monolith in his hand, and the heroes stepped back in anticipation. Suddenly, Derreck threw the monolith with all his might, its shape shifting into a hammer form as it soared through the air. It connected with such force that it created a crack in the air, revealing glimpses of the realm of Elfheim beyond.

Asguard.
Thor and the Asgardians were shaken as a sudden shockwave rippled through the World Tree, cracking it from top to bottom. Their eyes widened in horror and disbelief, realizing that something terrible was happening in the realms beyond.
Loki and Sif, who were nearby, watched in awe as the cracks widened, and they knew that something powerful and dangerous was at work. "What is happening?" Sif asked, looking to Loki for answers.
Loki's expression was grim as he gazed upon the shattered tree. "This cannot be a mere coincidence," he said. "We must act swiftly and find out the cause of this destruction."
Back on Earth, the older brother was sent flying across the cityscape by the force of Derreck's blow. The younger brother looked on in amazement before bursting into laughter. "Well, would you look at that!" he exclaimed. "Guess this mutt has teeth."
The heroes looked on in awe and fear as they realized the true extent of Derreck's power. They knew that they were in the presence of a being that could not be underestimated, and that they would have to fight with all their might if they were going to defeat him and protect their world.

Mount Olympus
From their lofty perch on Mount Olympus, the Greek gods looked down upon the mortal world, watching in awe as the battle raged on. They had seen many powerful beings over the centuries, but none had ever shown the sheer strength and ferocity that Derreck had just displayed.
Zeus, the king of the gods, watched with a mixture of fear and respect as Derreck's blow shattered the fabric of reality itself. He knew that this was a being beyond their comprehension, and he wondered if they would ever truly understand the extent of his power.
Athena, the goddess of wisdom, observed the battle with keen interest. She had always been fascinated by the mortal world and the beings that inhabited it, and she knew that this was a momentous event that would be recorded in the annals of history.
Hades, the lord of the underworld, looked on with a sardonic grin, amused by the chaos and destruction unfolding before him. He had seen many battles in his long life, and he relished the chance to witness another one, especially one as epic as this.
All of the gods watched in stunned silence as the crack in reality widened, revealing glimpses of the realm beyond. They knew that they were witnessing a moment that would change the course of history forever.

As the shockwaves from Derreck's strike reached the furthest corners of the universe, Thanos and the Eternals were shaken to their core. Thanos, the Mad Titan, known for his obsession with power and destruction, could not help but feel a twinge of fear as he witnessed the display of strength. He knew that he had encountered a being unlike any other, and that he would have to be careful if he wanted to come out on top.
The Eternals, powerful beings created by the Celestials, looked on in awe and wonder at Derreck's display of strength. They knew that they were witnessing something truly remarkable, and they could not help but feel a sense of reverence and respect for this new player in the cosmic game.
Meanwhile, Thanos and the Eternals watched from afar, their eyes fixed on the events unfolding on Earth. Thanos felt a thrill of excitement and admiration at Derreck's display of power. He had always respected strength, and Derreck had just shown himself to be a force to be reckoned with. The Eternals were equally amazed, their minds racing with the implications of what they had just witnessed. They knew that Derreck's power could change the course of the universe, for better or for worse, and they wondered what kind of future lay ahead for them all.
Mistress Death, Derreck's mother, watched in silence as her son unleashed his power upon the two beings from the dark multiverse. She knew that he was powerful, but she had never seen him in action like this before. As she looked upon him, she felt a sense of pride and admiration, knowing that he had become a force to be reckoned with in the universe.
Indeed, Mistress Death was both amazed and concerned about Derreck's display of power. As his mother, she knew he was capable of great things, but she also knew that such power could draw unwanted attention. She watched with a mix of pride and anxiety as he dealt a devastating blow to the dark multiverse brothers, tearing a splinter between realities. She knew that this act would not go unnoticed by the cosmic entities who watched over the multiverse, and she hoped that her son would be able to handle whatever challenges lay ahead.

The Silver Surfer and Galactus were caught off guard by the sudden shockwave that rippled through the universe. They had felt its force before it even hit them, and they knew that they were dealing with something powerful beyond their comprehension. They watched in awe as the crack in reality widened, and they realized that they were witnessing something that could change the course of the universe forever.
Odin stepped outside the bar just as the shockwave of energy tore through the space, shaking the very foundation of the cosmos. He felt it hit him with a force he had never felt before, a force that made him stumble back in surprise. As he regained his balance, he looked up at the sky and saw the cracks forming in the fabric of reality itself.
"What manner of sorcery is this?" he muttered to himself, feeling a sense of unease wash over him. He knew that something powerful was at work, something that threatened the very balance of the universe. He needed to investigate this further and find out who or what was behind this incredible display of power.
…
As the shockwave of energy from Derreck's blow tore through the realms, the gods of Mount Olympus were thrown into chaos. Zeus, Hera, and the rest of the pantheon looked on in fear and awe as they felt the very fabric of reality being torn apart. The thunderous boom of the impact echoed across the skies, shaking the foundations of their home.
"What sorcery is this?" Zeus thundered, his eyes scanning the heavens for answers.
Hera clasped her hands together, her face twisted in worry. "This is a sign of great danger," she said. "We must be on guard."
The other gods murmured in agreement, their eyes glued to the cracks forming in the sky. They knew that something powerful and dangerous was at work, something beyond their understanding.
As the shockwave reached Mount Olympus, even the gods were thrown back by its force. They watched in stunned silence as the splinter caused by Derreck's blow expanded, tearing a hole in the fabric of space itself. They knew that this was not a force to be reckoned with, and they could only pray that their realm would survive the onslaught to come.

Kraoko
As Emma tried to comprehend the extent of the damage caused by Derreck's blow, Apocalypse and the Arrako mutants watched the readings on the screen with a mix of fear and awe. Isca, the unbeaten champion of Arrako, was particularly shaken by the display of power. She had faced many opponents in her lifetime, but she knew that she was no match for someone who could tear a hole in the universe with a single blow.
Mr. Sinister and Beast also looked on in shock, their scientific minds trying to make sense of what they were seeing. They knew that this was no ordinary display of strength, and that they were dealing with a being of unimaginable power.
Apocalypse, who had faced many powerful foes in his time, was the first to speak. "Derreck... he is a force to be reckoned with," he said, his voice laced with both respect and fear. "We must tread carefully around him."
Isca nodded in agreement. "He is unlike anything we have ever faced before," she said, her voice trembling. "We must be prepared for whatever he brings our way."
Mr. Sinister and Beast exchanged a look, both of them realizing the potential implications of Derreck's power. They knew that they had to study him further, to understand what made him so different from any other mutant or being they had encountered before.
As the shockwave continued to ripple throughout the universe, Emma finally registered Charles and Magneto's question. She turned to them, her eyes filled with a mix of fear and uncertainty. "I don't know what this means for us," she said. "But we can't afford to underestimate him. He's only just beginning to tap into his true potential."
As the shockwave of Derreck's blow reverberated throughout the universe, the Celestials were among the first to take notice. They watched in awe and curiosity as the energy waves rippled through the cosmos, causing disturbances in the fabric of reality itself.
The Watchers, who had been silently observing the battle on Earth, were astonished by the raw display of power they had just witnessed. The sheer force of Derreck's blow had created a shockwave that reverberated throughout the universe, shattering windows in distant galaxies and causing cosmic storms to erupt across the cosmos.
But what truly amazed them was the realization that Derreck's power was only in its infancy. They could feel it growing, expanding, reaching out into the vast expanse of the universe, like a newborn star bursting forth from the darkness of space. The Watchers knew that they were witnessing the birth of a cosmic force to be reckoned with, and they could only wonder what kind of impact it would have on the universe in the days and years to come.
As the shockwave from Derreck's blow reached the Watcher's prison, the Original Nick Fury felt the impact reverberate through his body. Despite being chained up and unable to move, he was overwhelmed by the sheer force of the blow. He had never felt anything like it before, and it filled him with a sense of awe and terror.
As the tremors subsided, Fury looked up at the Watcher, who was still gazing down at the battle on Earth. "What was that?" Fury asked, his voice trembling.
The Watcher turned to him, his expression grave. "That was the power of Derreck," he said. "It is still in its infancy, but it is growing stronger with each passing moment. We must watch and wait, for his actions will have far-reaching consequences."
…
Eternity watched the battle with a mixture of shock and horror, his form shuddering from the force of Derreck's blow. He could feel the cracks forming in his eternal body, not just physical but also supernatural. He had never felt such power before, and it terrified him.
As he observed the battle, he sensed something beyond the dark crack that the brothers had emerged from. It was a force that he had never encountered before, and he could feel its presence growing stronger with every passing moment.
Eternity knew that they were facing a threat unlike anything they had ever encountered before, and he feared for the safety of the entire universe. He hoped that Derreck, with his immense power and strength, would be enough to defeat this new enemy and save them all from certain doom.
..
Charles and Magneto turned to Emma, their expressions filled with shock and concern. "What's happening?" Charles asked, his voice trembling slightly.
Emma's eyes were glued to the screens in front of her, her expression one of horror and disbelief. "It's Derreck," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "He hit one of the dark multiverse beings so hard that it's reverberating throughout the entire universe."
Magneto's eyes widened in disbelief. "That's impossible," he muttered, unable to process what he was hearing.
Charles furrowed his brow, trying to comprehend the gravity of the situation. "What does this mean for us?" he asked, his voice heavy with concern.
Emma took a deep breath, trying to steady her nerves. "It means that we are dealing with a being of immense power and potential danger," she said, her voice trembling. "We need to be prepared for any consequences that may come from this event."
Charles and Magneto exchanged a worried look, realizing that they were facing a threat unlike any they had encountered before. The shockwave continued to ripple through the universe, leaving destruction in its wake. They knew that they had to act fast if they were going to be able to contain the situation.
Emma was so caught up in the readings on the screen that she didn't immediately register Charles and Magneto's question. It wasn't until Magneto repeated himself that she looked up, realizing they were waiting for an answer.
"I'm sorry, what was that?" she asked, still reeling from the shock of the readings.
Magneto repeated his question, his tone urgent. "What does this mean for us?" he asked again.
Emma took a moment to gather her thoughts before responding. "It means that we are dealing with a being of immense power and potential danger," she said, her voice steady but laced with concern. "We need to be prepared for any consequences that may come from this event."
Apocalypse and the other Arrako mutants, including Isca the Unbeaten who had been defeated by Derreck during the X of Swords event, were also watching the situation unfold with great interest. Mr. Sinister and Beast were deep in discussion, trying to decipher the implications of the readings.
Isca, who had never been defeated before, looked on in shock and awe. She had never encountered a being with such raw power before, and she knew that they were dealing with a force beyond their understanding.
Apocalypse, ever the strategist, was already formulating a plan in his mind. He knew that they could not underestimate this new player in the game, and that they would need to be ready for whatever came their way.
Emma's eyes widened as she continued to study the readings on the screen. "And if he were to hit that same spot again," she said slowly, "the shockwave could potentially reverberate through time itself. It could hit whatever he hit before he even made contact."
The room fell silent as they all processed this information. Apocalypse's expression was grim as he spoke up. "We must tread carefully," he said. "If Derreck's power is indeed growing, then we must prepare ourselves for any eventuality."
As Magneto and Charles listened in disbelief, the screens monitoring the universe's various dimensions and realities began to glitch and flicker wildly. Emma's eyes widened as she tried to make sense of the readings, but it was no use - the chaos had spread far beyond what she could comprehend.
Suddenly, the screens went black, and the room was plunged into darkness. Apocalypse, sensing the disruption, rose from his throne and approached the group, his expression grave.
"What has happened?" he asked, his voice low and foreboding.
Emma looked to him, her eyes wide with fear. "It was Derreck," she said, her voice trembling. "He caused the disturbance, and now... now everything's gone haywire."
Apocalypse narrowed his eyes, his thoughts racing as he tried to make sense of the situation. "We must act swiftly," he said, his voice steely. "We cannot let this chaos spread any further."
As he spoke, the room began to shake, and the walls groaned under the strain of the cosmic disturbance. Isca, who had been observing the scene from a distance, looked on in horror as she realized the true extent of Derreck's power.
Mr. Sinister and Beast, who had been studying the readings on the screens, exchanged a worried glance. They knew that the situation was rapidly spiraling out of control, and they feared for the safety of all mutants and the universe as a whole.
The Arrako mutants nodded in agreement, knowing that they needed to be ready for whatever was to come. Isca, the Unbeaten, looked particularly uneasy, her confidence shaken after her defeat at Derreck's hands during the X of Swords event.
Mr. Sinister's eyes glinted with excitement as he spoke up. "Perhaps we could study Derreck's power, harness it for our own purposes," he suggested, rubbing his hands together.
Beast shot him a warning look. "We need to focus on understanding his power, not exploiting it for our own gain," he said sternly.
Emma nodded in agreement, turning to Charles and Magneto. "We need to keep a close eye on Derreck's movements and actions," she said. "We can't afford to be caught off guard."
Mistress Death appeared before the Quiet Council, her presence radiating power and authority. "I warned you once not to meddle with my son," she said, her voice cold and menacing. "And now, after witnessing the extent of his power, I will not warn you again."
She looked to Emma and Beast, her eyes narrowing. "And as for the two of you," she continued, her voice dripping with venom. "I have not forgotten what you did to my son when you tried to brainwash him. The being you see before you is only the tip of the iceberg of what he can unleash."
The Quiet Council remained silent, their faces etched with fear and respect for the powerful cosmic entity before them. Mr. Sinister, who had been observing the conversation from a distance, stepped forward cautiously.
"Please, Mistress Death, we understand the gravity of the situation," he said, his voice trembling slightly. "What would you have us do?"
Mistress Death regarded him with a steely gaze. "Do not interfere with my son's affairs," she said, her voice firm.
Mistress Death turned her attention to Mr. Sinister, her eyes narrowing as she spoke. "And as for you, Sinister," she said, her voice laced with warning. "You only get one more strike before you're out of the picture for good, even with resurrection."
Mr. Sinister gulped audibly, his expression turning grave. He knew better than to cross Mistress Death, and he could not afford to make any more mistakes. "Understood, my lady," he said, his voice low and respectful.
Mistress Death nodded, satisfied with his response. She then turned to the rest of the Quiet Council, her eyes sweeping over them. "I suggest you all keep a close eye on Derreck," she said, her voice firm. "His power is growing at an alarming rate, and it won't be long before he becomes a force to be reckoned with."
Mistress Death then turned her attention to Apocalype, who had asked about the crack in the air leading to the realm of the dwarves. "Leave it be," she said, her voice resolute. "The dwarves will not intrude as long as we do not interfere with their affairs. And as for the crack, it won't get any worse as long as you leave it be."
The Quiet Council nodded in agreement, knowing that it was best not to interfere with the affairs of other realms. They had already seen the consequences of meddling with powers beyond their comprehension, and they knew that it was best to tread carefully.
Apocalypse nodded, his expression solemn. "As you wish, Mistress Death," he said, his voice low and respectful.
Mistress Death turned to Apocalypse, her eyes softening slightly. "And thank you, Apocalypse," she said, her voice filled with gratitude. "For defending my son's honor during the X of Swords event against that... unbeaten one," she said, her words laced with disdain as she referred to Isca without naming her. "Your loyalty to Derreck does not go unnoticed."Mistress Death's words hung heavily in the air as Isca recoiled at the mention of her name. Apocalypse nodded solemnly at Mistress Death's words, acknowledging her gratitude.
Mistress Death turned to Isca, her eyes cold and unforgiving. "And you," she said, her voice laced with disdain. "You should know better than to taunt my son. He is not to be underestimated."
Isca shrank back at the intensity of Mistress Death's words, her confidence shattered. She could feel the weight of her defeat at the hands of Derreck during the X of Swords event.
Mistress Death's final warning before departing would be a stern one. "Remember this," she said, her voice filled with an ominous warning. "Derreck's half-brother is no less strong, and possibly even more so. It would serve you well to have Derreck as an ally. You would be wise not to cross him or his kin again."
"And if you value your lives, do not cross me or my son again."
With that, Mistress Death vanished from the council chambers, leaving the Quiet Council to ponder her words. Mr. Sinister shifted uncomfortably in his seat, knowing that he had pushed his luck too far. The other members of the council exchanged wary glances, realizing that they were dealing with forces beyond their control.
Beast spoke up, his voice heavy with concern. "We need to proceed with caution," he said, his gaze fixed on the cracked screen. "If Derreck's power is still growing, we could be facing a threat that we are not prepared for."
The others nodded in agreement, knowing that they needed to tread carefully in the coming days. The crack in reality remained, a constant reminder of the power and danger that lay beyond their understanding.
Elsewhere
As Kroako felt the violent shaking, he was immediately filled with confusion and terror. He had never felt anything like this before, and he knew that something terrible must be happening. Suddenly, a tear opened up in front of his tree head, and he could see the figure of Eternity staring back at him with a look of horror etched on his face.
Kroako could sense the immense power and pain emanating from the entity before him. Despite the minor cracks on Eternity's body, Kroako could feel the magnitude of the damage caused by Derreck's single hit. It was as if the entire universe was being shaken to its core, and Kroako could sense the ripple effect spreading outwards.
The mutant island was also affected by the shockwave, causing Kroako's branches to sway wildly. He could hear the other mutant trees around him rustling and groaning in protest. The entire island seemed to be protesting against the sheer force of Derreck's power.
Kroako knew that this was a moment that would go down in history. The shockwave caused by Derreck's hit was something that had never been seen before, and it would have far-reaching consequences. He felt a sense of dread wash over him as he thought about the implications of this event.
As he continued to watch Eternity in horror, Kroako felt a deep sense of sadness wash over him. He knew that the universe was in danger, and that they would need to come together as one if they were going to survive the coming storm. The mutant island was just one small piece of the puzzle, but Kroako knew that they had a vital role to play in the fate of the universe.
Eternity looked around, surveying the multiverse in all its vastness. As he did so, he noticed a strange phenomenon occurring - a wave of energy seemed to be rippling outwards from the point of impact where Derreck had struck the dark multiverse being.
He could see the wave spreading outwards, affecting everything in its path. He watched in horror as it passed through various realities, causing minor tremors and disturbances. As it moved further and further outwards, the effects of the wave lessened, until it was barely noticeable at the edges of the multiverse.
Eternity could sense the confusion and fear of the other universe counterparts as they felt the tremors. They were completely unprepared for the sudden shockwave and its implications.
As he continued to observe the wave, Eternity realized that it was not just a physical disturbance, but something much more profound. The wave was affecting the very fabric of reality itself, warping space and time in its wake.
He knew that this was something that he had never encountered before, something that was beyond his understanding. Eternity felt a deep sense of foreboding as he realized that they were facing a threat unlike any they had seen before.
For Kroako, who was still reeling from the shock of the news, the sight of Eternity's distress was a sobering one. He knew that if even Eternity was affected by the shockwave, then the situation was truly dire.
Kroako felt a sense of duty to protect his fellow mutants and the multiverse as a whole. He knew that they had to act fast if they were going to be able to contain the situation and prevent any further damage.
As the tremors slowly subsided and the wave dissipated into the far reaches of the multiverse, Kroako resolved to do whatever was necessary to protect his home and the universe he called his own.
As the shaking slowly subsided and the tear in reality closed, Eternity turned his attention back to Krokoa, his expression grim. "Krokoa," he said, his voice low and serious. "You must understand the gravity of the situation we are facing. That shockwave was not caused by any ordinary force. It was the result of a being of immense power, one that I have never encountered before."
Krokoa listened with rapt attention, his branches trembling slightly as he absorbed the magnitude of what Eternity was saying. "What kind of being are we dealing with?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Eternity's eyes grew somber as he spoke. "I sense that this being is from the Dark Multiverse," he said, his voice heavy with concern. "And the crack in reality that we felt earlier... it was caused by the defeat of two beings who came out of it. I fear that this is just the beginning, and that we are facing a far more dangerous threat than we could have ever imagined."
Krokoa's leaves rustled in the wind as he absorbed Eternity's words, his mind racing with the implications of what he was hearing. "What can we do?" he asked, his voice laced with worry.
Eternity's expression softened slightly as he regarded Krokoa. "We must prepare ourselves for any eventuality," he said, his voice firm. "We must be ready to face this new threat head-on, and we must do so with unity and strength."
Krokoa nodded, his branches rustling in agreement. "What about the other counterparts you sensed earlier?" he asked, his voice filled with curiosity.
Eternity's eyes glinted with a faint smile. "Ah, yes," he said, his voice laced with intrigue. "I sensed their presence as well, and I felt a slight tremor throughout the multiverse as the shockwave spread outwards. It seems that this event has not gone unnoticed by the other beings of the cosmos."
Krokoa's leaves rustled with anticipation as he waited for Eternity to continue. "What did they feel?" he asked, his voice filled with wonder.
Eternity closed his eyes for a moment, as if searching his mind for the answer. "They felt a slight wave of energy, like a ripple spreading outwards from the epicenter of the shockwave," he said, his voice measured. "It was nothing too severe, but it was enough to draw their attention."
Krokoa's branches quivered with excitement as he listened to Eternity's words. "What does this mean for us?" he asked, his voice heavy with anticipation.
Eternity's expression grew serious once more as he regarded Krokoa. "It means that we are not alone in this fight," he said, his voice low and solemn. "The other counterparts sensed the shockwave, and they will be looking to us for leadership and guidance in the coming days."
Krokoa nodded, his leaves rustling in the wind. "We will be ready," he said, his voice filled with determination.
Eternity regarded Krokoa with a stern gaze. "You must be," he said, his voice firm. "For the fate of the multiverse rests on our shoulders. Speaking of which, have you heard of Mistress Death?"
Krokoa shook his head, his branches swaying in confusion. "Mistress Death? I'm not familiar with her."
Eternity sighed deeply. "She is a being that presides over the realm of the dead," he explained. "But her influence goes far beyond that. She is also the object of affection for a being named Thanos, whoKrokoa's branches quivered with excitement as he listened to Eternity's words.
"For the fate of the multiverse rests on our shoulders."
Krokoa nodded his head slowly, his branches rustling in the wind. "Eternity, there is one thing you should know about Derreck," he said, his voice calm but serious. "According to Mistress Death, he has the ability to naturally mask his power and existence from cosmic-level beings. It would make sense, given his heritage, and it means that we might not know the full extent of his abilities or his whereabouts at any given moment."
Eternity's eyes widened in surprise at the revelation. "That is a concerning detail," he said, his voice measured. "It means that we must be even more vigilant in our preparations, and that we must not underestimate the threat that he poses."
Krokoa's branches rustled in agreement. "Indeed," he said, his voice firm. "We cannot afford to be complacent, not when the fate of the multiverse is at stake."
Eternity regarded Krokoa with a solemn expression. "You speak the truth," he said, his voice heavy with responsibility. "We must be vigilant, we must be prepared, and we must stand united against whatever may come our way."
Krokoa nodded his head in agreement, his leaves rustling in the wind. "We will be ready," he said, his voice filled with determination. "No matter what."
…
Elsewhere on kroakoa.
As the shockwave rippled through Krakoa, Nightcrawler felt his stomach churn with unease. He could sense the fear and confusion of the mutants around him, and he knew that something was very wrong.
He looked around at his fellow mutants, seeing the worry etched on their faces. Mystique and Destiny stood close together, their expressions grim with concern. Nightcrawler knew that they were both worried about the safety of their family and their home.
Nightcrawler himself was filled with a sense of foreboding, a feeling that something terrible was about to happen. He knew that they needed to be on high alert and ready to defend themselves at a moment's notice.
He turned his attention to the screens and readouts around him, trying to make sense of the data. His mind raced as he tried to think of what could have caused such a powerful shockwave.
Nightcrawler's eyes widened in shock as Destiny's voice echoed through the room. "What did you say?" he asked, his voice tinged with concern.
Destiny's hands were shaking as she clutched her head. "Derreck," she said, her voice strained. "He caused this...I can feel it."
Mystique moved to her wife's side, concern etched on her face. "What do you mean?" she asked, placing a comforting hand on Destiny's shoulder.
Nightcrawler's expression turned grave as Destiny spoke. "What do you mean, caused by Derreck?" he asked, his voice laced with concern.
Destiny took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. "I can feel it in the threads of fate," she said, her voice trembling slightly. "The shockwave that just occurred...it was caused by one hit...from Derreck."
Nightcrawler's eyes widened in shock. "One hit?" he repeated, his mind struggling to comprehend the implications of such power.
Pixie, who had been nearby, overheard their conversation and rushed over. "What's going on?" she asked, her voice filled with worry.
Destiny turned to her, her expression pained. "It's Derreck," she said. "He's caused a shockwave that reverberated through every world and every pantheon...with just one hit."
Pixie's eyes widened in shock and fear. "That's...unbelievable," she muttered, her mind racing with the implications.
Nightcrawler's expression turned serious as he realized the gravity of the situation. "We need to inform the others," he said, his voice firm. "We need to make sure everyone is prepared for whatever may come."
Mysiqe asks destiny what they should do and destiny replies by saying simply, "pray...".
Nightcrawler's expression darkened at Destiny's ominous response. "Pray?" he repeated, his voice heavy with concern.
Destiny nodded slowly, her eyes clouded with a sense of foreboding. "Yes, pray," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "For we are dealing with forces beyond our control, and the consequences of Derreck's actions may be far-reaching and catastrophic."
Mystique's expression mirrored Nightcrawler's concern, and she turned to Destiny with a look of desperation. "But what can we do?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.
Destiny shook her head, her eyes distant. "There is little we can do now, except wait and see what fate has in store for us," she said. "All we can do is hope and pray that we are strong enough to weather the storm that is coming."
Nightcrawler looked at Destiny with concern etched on his face. "But we cannot just sit here and do nothing," he said, his voice filled with urgency.
Destiny shook her head, her expression grim. "There is nothing we can do, Kurt," she said, her voice laced with sadness. "Derreck is already engaged in battle, and we cannot interfere without drawing the attention of his half brother, who is far more powerful and dangerous."
Mystique looked at Destiny, her eyes filled with worry. "What do you suggest we do then?" she asked, her voice tense.
Destiny's eyes darkened as she spoke. "We can only pray that Derreck is able to handle the situation," she said, her voice heavy with emotion. "And we can prepare ourselves for whatever may come next."
Pixie, who had been listening in on the conversation, spoke up timidly. "What should I do?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Nightcrawler turned to her, his expression softening. "Stay close to us, Megan," he said, his voice gentle. "We will protect you."…
As the mutants were discussing the implications of Derreck's actions, a tear in reality suddenly formed above them. They all looked up in shock as they saw the image of Asgard inverted, and a stunned Thor staring down at them through the crack.
"What in the name of Odin's beard is happening?" Thor exclaimed, his voice tinged with confusion and concern.
Nightcrawler quickly sprang into action, teleporting up to Thor's level and grabbing his arm. "Thor, what's going on up there?" he asked urgently.
Thor shook his head, still reeling from the shock of what he was seeing. "I know not, my friend," he said, his voice heavy with worry. "One moment, all was as it should be, and the next...this."
As the mutants looked up at Thor, they couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. If the events of Derreck's attack were causing ripples through the fabric of reality, who knew what other cracks and tears could appear?

Thor shook his head, still reeling from the shock of what he was seeing. "I know not, my friend," he said, his voice heavy with worry. "One moment, all was as it should be, and the next...this."
As the mutants looked up at Thor, they couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. If the events of Derreck's attack were causing ripples through the fabric of reality, who knew what other cracks and tears could appear?
Suddenly, a massive crack split the World Tree from root to the tallest branch. The Asgardians gasped in horror as they watched the splinters and cracks spread throughout the trunk and branches, sending tremors throughout the realm.
"What manner of sorcery is this?" Thor bellowed, drawing his newly-reforged hammer in preparation for battle.
Destiny stepped forward, her expression grave. "This is the result of Derreck's blow to the older brother of the Dark Multiverse," she explained. "He struck him with such force that it caused a ripple effect throughout the realms. There is nothing we can do but endure and wait it out."
The mutants looked at each other in alarm as they realized the full extent of the damage caused by Derreck's attack. If his power was capable of shattering the very fabric of the universe, what hope did they have in stopping him?
Destiny stepped forward, her expression grave. "This is the result of Derreck's blow to the older brother of the Dark Multiverse," she explained. "He struck him with such force that it caused a ripple effect throughout the realms. There is nothing we can do but endure and wait it out."
The mutants looked at each other in alarm as they realized the full extent of the damage caused by Derreck's attack. However, they also knew that Derreck had only acted to stop the emissaries of the Dark Multiverse from gaining a foothold in their universe, and how he had ultimately prevented a catastrophic invasion.
Nightcrawler turned to Thor, his expression grave. "We must prepare for the worst," he said, his voice heavy with concern. "But we must also remember that Derreck acted to protect his friends and allies, and he is not the true enemy we face."
As Destiny's words sank in, Thor and the other Asgardians stood in stunned silence, their minds trying to comprehend the full extent of the situation. How could one being possess such immense power? And what other unforeseen consequences could come from Derreck's actions?
The ground continued to shake beneath their feet, the cracks in the World Tree growing wider and more numerous with each passing moment. Galactus and Silver Surfer looked on from the tear in reality, their expressions mirroring the shock and disbelief felt by the mutants and Asgardians.
Destiny's words echoed in their minds as they tried to come to grips with the gravity of the situation. They knew that they must stand together, as allies and friends, and face whatever threats lay ahead. The fate of the multiverse hung in the balance, and they could not afford to fail.
…
Emma Frost stepped forward, her expression serious. "We need to keep a close eye on all of the dimensions and realities," she said firmly. "We cannot allow any further damage to occur."
Charles and Magneto nodded in agreement, their expressions grave. "Agreed," Charles said. "We must be prepared for any and all consequences of Derreck's actions."
…
Fantastic four's P.O.V.
The Fantastic Four watched in awe and fear as the shockwaves continued to reverberate through the air, causing a moderate rumbling of the universe and realities. In the distance, they could see the figure of Derreck, his hammer still embedded in the ground as he faced off against the younger brother.
Reed Richards held up his device, trying to get a reading on what was happening. But even his advanced technology was struggling to keep up with the sheer power of the event.
"I've never seen anything like this," Reed said, his voice barely audible over the sound of the rumbling. "The energy levels are still incredibly high."
Sue Storm clung tightly to Reed's arm, her eyes wide with fear. "What are we going to do?" she asked, her voice trembling.
Reed shook his head, his expression grim. "All we can do is wait and see what happens."
Meanwhile, Derreck continued to battle with the younger brother, his hammer still embedded in the ground where he had struck the older brother. The brother was still reeling from the force of the blow, petrified by the display of strength before him.
In the distance, the tears in reality continued to pulse and shimmer, hinting at even greater dangers yet to come.
Kitty Pride's P.O.V.
Kitty Pryde's eyes widened in disbelief as the shockwaves from Derreck's strike reverberated through the air. She and the X-Men had been battling the Dark Multiverse brothers for what seemed like hours, but none of them had been able to even scratch the surface of the brothers' immense power.
When Derreck struck the older brother with his hammer, Kitty couldn't believe what she was seeing. The force of the blow was so intense that it sent the brother hurtling across the city, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake.
But Kitty's shock only intensified when she looked up and saw the tears in reality that had begun to form. She couldn't even begin to fathom the implications of what was happening.
As she watched, one tear opened up to reveal a confused Frost Giant on the other side, and Kitty couldn't help but wonder what other beings or entities might be pouring through the cracks in reality.
"We need to do something," Kitty said, her voice laced with urgency. "We can't just stand here and let this happen.
As Kitty Pryde looked around at the chaos and destruction surrounding her, she couldn't help but feel a sense of overwhelming helplessness. None of them had been able to even scratch the surface of the Dark Multiverse brothers, and now they were faced with a being of unimaginable power that seemed to have the ability to shatter reality itself.
As she watched the tears in reality pulsing and shimmering in the distance, she couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. What could they possibly do in the face of such a catastrophic event?
"There's nothing we can do," she said softly to the others around her. "We don't even know how this is going to end."
As the rumbling and shaking finally subsided, she looked over at Derreck, who was now staring wide-eyed at the tears in reality. Despite the gravity of the situation, she couldn't help but let out a small chuckle at the look of pure simplicity on his face.
But as she looked back at the tears in reality, her laughter quickly faded. They were a reminder of just how fragile the fabric of the universe really was, and how easily it could be torn apart by the actions of just one being.
"We need to be prepared for anything," she said, her voice serious. "Anything could happen now."
Gambit's P.O.V.
As the ground shook and the world seemed to crack apart, Gambit could feel his heart racing in his chest. He had seen some intense things in his time, but nothing quite like this. The fact that the Dark Multiverse brothers were nearly invincible only added to the terror of the situation.
But as he looked up, he saw something even more unsettling. Tears were forming all around them, pulsing with energy and shimmering with otherworldly light. And in one of those tears, he could see the image of Hela, the Asgardian goddess of death, looking up in shock and confusion. Gambit could not help but wonder what other horrors lay beyond those cracks in reality.
He took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves. This was beyond anything he had ever experienced, and he knew that there was no way to predict what would happen next. All he could do was stay alert, stay ready, and hope that they would be able to survive whatever came their way.
Captain Americas P.O.V.
As the ground shook beneath his feet, Captain America looked around in awe and fear. He had seen many battles in his time, but nothing like this. He felt a sense of satisfaction knowing that Derreck had finally found a way to hurt the brother from the Dark Multiverse, but at the same time, he was disturbed by the sheer amount of power that had been unleashed.
As he looked up, he saw tears in reality pulsing and shimmering. In the distance, he saw a confused Hela looking up in shock, along with the souls of the deceased. It was clear that this event was having an impact beyond their world.
Captain America knew that they had to do something, but what? The tears in reality were becoming less common as they branched out, but it was still a clear sign that they were dealing with something beyond their understanding.
"We need to find a way to stop this," he said, his voice urgent. "We cannot just sit here and wait for the worst to happen."
But as he looked around at the destruction and chaos, he couldn't help but wonder if they were already too late.
She-Hulk
As She-Hulk fought alongside the other heroes against the Dark Multiverse brothers, she could feel the ground beneath her feet start to shake. The shaking quickly grew more intense, and soon the sound of shattering glass filled the air as windows of nearby buildings shattered.
"What the hell is going on?" she yelled, struggling to keep her balance.
As she looked around, she noticed tears forming in the fabric of reality, causing strange distortions in the air. In the distance, she could see the confused figure of Mephisto, his domain slightly shaking as he struggled to maintain his balance.
She-Hulk could feel a sense of unease in the pit of her stomach. If the events unfolding before them were causing tears in reality, who knew what other dangers lay ahead?
Two confused elves looked through the crack in astonishment before Derreck's hammer sent the older brother flying across the cityscape.
Jean's and Scotts P.O.V.
As Jean Grey looked around in horror at the tears in reality and the shaking ground, she could sense that Scott was frozen in shock. She reached out to him telepathically, trying to get through to him.
"Scott, we need to snap out of this," she said urgently. "We can't just stand here and do nothing."
Scott shook his head, his expression one of disbelief. "I can't believe this is happening," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "We were completely outmatched by those brothers, and now this."
Jean nodded in agreement, her eyes scanning the area for any signs of danger. "We need to be prepared for anything," she said. "If there are more cracks in reality like this, we don't know what could come through."
As they looked up at the tears in reality, they could see the frightened faces of the Valkyries looking back at them from Valhalla. The sight sent shivers down their spines, reminding them of just how dire the situation was.
"We have to keep fighting," Jean said firmly. "We can't give up hope."
Scott nodded, determination flashing in his eyes. "You're right," he said. "We can't let this defeat us. We have to keep pushing forward."
Jean Grey and Scott were frozen in shock as they watched the tears in reality pulsing and shimmering before them. The events that had unfolded with Derreck and the Dark Multiverse brothers were beyond anything they had ever experienced, and the tears in reality only added to their sense of unease.
As they watched, another crack appeared, showing a Watcher recoiling in slight terror. Jean and Scott exchanged a look of concern, realizing that the effects of Derreck's actions were far-reaching and potentially catastrophic.
"What do we do?" Scott asked, his voice trembling slightly.
Jean shook her head, her expression grim. "I don't know," she said. "All we can do is keep fighting and hope that we can contain the damage."
Scott nodded in agreement, but they both knew that their efforts would likely be futile against such immense power. As they turned to face the brothers once more, they couldn't help but feel a sense of dread and uncertainty for what the future held.
Norman Osborn's POV:
As the ground shook beneath his feet, Norman Osborn looked up in shock and fear. He had seen many things in his time, but nothing quite like this. The fact that the Dark Multiverse brothers were nearly invincible only added to the terror of the situation.
But then, he saw something even more unbelievable. Tears were forming all around them, pulsing with energy and shimmering with otherworldly light. And in one of those tears, he could see the image of a confused and shaky Surtur on the other side, staring back at him in disbelief.
It was then that Norman realized that they were dealing with forces beyond anything they had ever encountered. The fact that Derreck had caused all of this with just one hit was almost too much to comprehend.
Norman gritted his teeth, steeling himself for the battle to come. He may have once been a villain, but he knew that he had to do whatever it took to protect the world from the chaos that was unfolding around them.
Spider-Man's POV:
As the ground shook violently beneath him, Spider-Man looked around in shock and disbelief. He had been in some pretty intense battles before, but nothing could have prepared him for this.
And then, he saw the tears in reality beginning to form, pulsing and shimmering with an otherworldly energy. In one of the tears, he could see the confused and shaky form of Surtur on the other side, staring back at him in bewilderment.
Spider-Man couldn't believe what he was seeing. The fact that Derreck had caused all of this with just one hit was beyond anything he could have imagined. He couldn't help but feel a sense of dread at the thought of what other horrors lay beyond those cracks in reality.
But despite his fear, Spider-Man knew that he had to keep fighting. He may not have had the same level of strength as some of the other heroes, but he had something even more important - determination and heart.
As he watched the tears in reality continue to pulse and shimmer, he took a deep breath and prepared himself for the battle to come. He knew that they were facing an enemy unlike anything they had ever encountered, but he was ready to do whatever it took to protect the world from destruction.
Rogue's P.O.V.
Rogue couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and terror as she watched Derreck march up to the Dark Multiverse brothers and unleash his fury upon them. She had never seen anything like it before - the sheer force of his single blow, the crackling energy that surrounded him, and the tears in reality that pulsed and shimmered in his wake.
As the ground shook beneath her feet and the windows of the buildings around them shattered, Rogue could only stand there in shock, unable to even attempt to fight back against the brothers who seemed to be completely invulnerable. And yet, Derreck was able to send the older brother flying across the city with a single blow.
As Rogue looked up at the tears in reality, she saw a glimpse of another tear in front of Jean and Scott. Through it, she could see the other side of the Valkyries in Valhalla, their faces twisted with fear and confusion as they looked back at her. It was a sight that sent chills down her spine, a reminder of the awesome power that Derreck wielded and the potential consequences of his actions.
All she could do was watch in awe and terror as the battle raged on, the tears in reality pulsing and shimmering with each blow, hinting at even greater dangers yet to come.
Logans P.O.V.
Logan's heart raced as he watched Derreck's incredible display of power, sending the Dark Multiverse brothers flying with a single blow. He couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and fear, knowing that even with his healing factor, he would stand no chance against such an opponent.
But as he looked up at the tears in reality, he saw something even more unsettling - a tear leading to Mount Olympus, where he could see the Greek gods staring back at him in horror.
Logan's instincts told him that something was very wrong, and the fact that the gods seemed to be aware of it only made it worse. He knew that Derreck's actions had consequences far beyond their immediate surroundings, and he couldn't help but wonder what other tears in reality were opening up across the universe.
As he continued to watch the battle unfold, Logan couldn't shake the feeling that they were playing a dangerous game, one with stakes far beyond what any of them could have imagined. The tears in reality only served to confirm his fears, hinting at even greater dangers yet to come.
Logan watched in awe and fear as Derreck single-handedly took on the Dark Multiverse brothers, sending the older one hurtling across the city with a single blow. He had never seen anything like it before, even in all his years of fighting.
But there was something else that was bothering him too. From the moment he had met Derreck in the alleyway, Logan had noticed something off about his scent. It wasn't just the smell of sweat and grime that clung to him, there was something deeper, darker lurking beneath the surface.
As the ground shook beneath his feet and the tears in reality pulsed and shimmered around him, Logan's thoughts turned to the Greek gods. He had always been skeptical of their existence, but now he couldn't deny what he was seeing. Through the tear above him, he could see the gods of Olympus staring down at him in horror, their faces twisted with fear and disbelief.
But then, another tear opened up above, leading to the side of the same Greek gods he was seeing. Logan watched in shock as they looked back at him, their eyes filled with terror and confusion.
It was a sight that filled Logan with both fear and wonder, a reminder of just how little he knew about the world and the powers that lay beyond his understanding. All he could do was stand there, watching and waiting as the battle raged on, and the tears in reality continued to pulse and shimmer around him.
Iron Mans P.O.V.
Iron Man felt the ground beneath him tremble as the shockwaves from Derreck's blow reverberated through the air. He had been fighting alongside the other heroes against the Dark Multiverse brothers, but none of them had been able to land a hit on the seemingly invulnerable foes. That was until Derreck had come onto the scene and dealt a single devastating blow that sent the older brother flying across the city.
Iron Man could hardly believe what he was seeing. How could one man possess so much power? As he watched the tears in reality pulsing and shimmering, he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. This was a level of strength and destruction that he had never encountered before.
The shaking grew more intense, and Iron Man struggled to keep his balance. He looked around at the other heroes, all of them standing in shock and awe at the display of power before them. This was a battle unlike any other they had faced, and they were all struggling to keep up.
Iron Man knew that they needed to regroup and come up with a plan, but he couldn't shake the feeling that no matter what they did, they were outmatched. As he watched the tears in reality, he couldn't help but wonder what other horrors lay beyond them.
As the mutants and heroes continued to stare in awe at the tears in reality, they suddenly noticed that the younger brother of the Dark Multiverse was also staring intently at the spot where his older brother had once stood. He looked confused and slightly disoriented, as if he couldn't believe what he was seeing.
The heroes were stunned at Derreck's display of power, and they knew that they had underestimated him. They braced themselves for what would happen next.
The younger brother stared at his hammer in disbelief as it transformed back into its original form as a monolith. It was then that he realized he had underestimated Derreck. "You dare-!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with anger and disbelief.
Before he could even finish his sentence, Derreck punched him with incredible force, sending him hurtling through the dark multiverse portal behind him. The portal closed shut behind him, leaving Derreck standing alone amidst the ruins of the battlefield.
Derreck scratched his head, his sharp teeth glinting in the light as he muttered something to his monolith. With a nod of acknowledgment, the tears in reality pulsing and shimmering around him began to close, sealing off the other worlds and realities from view.
The heroes stood there in stunned silence, trying to process what they had just witnessed. Derreck had marched up to the Dark Multiverse brothers and unleashed a fury of blows upon them, shattering the windows of the surrounding buildings and causing the ground to shake with each hit. And then, with a single punch, he had sent the older brother hurtling across the city, leaving them all in awe and shock.
As they looked up at the tears in reality pulsing and shimmering around them, Logan could sense something off about Derreck's scent. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but there was definitely something strange about the creature.
Derreck scratched his head, his sharp teeth glinting in the light as he muttered something to his monolith. With a nod of acknowledgment, the tears in reality began to close, sealing off the other worlds and realities from view.
"So, uh, anyone like pet rats?" Derreck said, a sheepish grin on his face as he looked around at the other heroes. "I've got a few back on Krakoa if you're interested."
…
And with that, he disappeared from view, his monolith glowing brightly before vanishing into thin air. The other heroes looked at each other in confusion, unsure of what to make of the strange creature and his even stranger powers. But one thing was certain - they had just witnessed something truly extraordinary, and the repercussions of Derreck's actions were sure to be felt for a long time to come.
