Thalia released an angry sigh as she was led down the hallway by the police officer. Her head was throbbing from just how angry she was. The rest of her body was sore from sitting in that stupid metal chair. The only bright side was that Percy and Annabeth came quickly to pay her bail. At least someone seemed to care about her.

Thalia didn't expect Reyna to go on an entire tirade against her mother, but just a little backup would have been nice. If Reyna could have said anything, Thalia would have been happy. Instead, her girlfriend was quiet. She just took another hit.

Now, Thalia was going to owe Annabeth money. Or Percy. God, she hoped it wasn't Percy. Owing him money would be the worst. It would be easy to pay him back, but she didn't want to owe him, of all people, anything. He wouldn't even want her to pay him back.

Thalia knew that Bellona was not going to drop the charges and would probably push for the maximum fine. Or even jail time. Thalia didn't know, and she didn't care at the moment either. Thalia glanced at her bruised, bloodied, and probably broken knuckles.

Worth it.

"Thanks," Thalia said as she looked at the police officer that handed her things to her. Well, she would probably need a lawyer. Why couldn't Nico date a lawyer instead of a doctor? The police officer only gave her a small nod of acknowledgment and led her into the front lobby. Thalia looked around for Percy and Annabeth as she was left alone.

The only person she found was Hylla. A small frown came to her face as Hylla stood and walked toward her. Thalia just stared at her in confusion. Hylla spoke, "Are you okay?"

"Um, yeah. Mostly," Thalia answered. She looked down at her knuckles. "But, why are you here? No offense."

"To bail you out and give you a ride home," Hylla replied. She motioned with her head and started to walk. Thalia stared at her. Hylla looked back. "Come on!"

"Wait. Why?" Thalia questioned as she followed after Hylla. "Did Reyna tell you? Where is she?"

The scowl that came to Hylla's face made Thalia wince. The two of them made their way outside in silence. Thalia couldn't handle it for long. She shivered from the harsh wind and stuck her hands into her pockets.

"But, why did you bail me out? Not that I don't appreciate it. I do," Thalia began. Hylla looked at her, and a small smile came to her face.

"You have done something that I have wanted to do my entire life," Hylla explained as she motioned to Thalia's hand. "I only wish it had been me. Reyna said there was blood everywhere. Did you break her nose?"

"I did," Thalia confirmed. Despite herself, a small smile came to her face. Hylla smiled as well. They both lost the expression after a moment. "Because she slapped Reyna."

"Reyna wouldn't tell me what happened," Hylla said, and she motioned with her head. Thalia followed the motion and saw a car that she guessed belonged to Hylla. Reyna was sitting in the passenger's seat, but her head was lowered. "Just asked me to come by. All she said was that you got arrested."

"Yeah," Thalia muttered. She took an angry breath. "Your mom doesn't know boundaries or how to knock. She walked in on the two of us making out. Like Reyna's tongue was in my mouth."

"Ew."

"Bellona said a lot of things about me. Called me some names. Said the same about you. And... Reyna didn't even defend me."

Thalia swallowed painfully. What Bellona said didn't bother her. She dealt with name calling like that all of her life. It was just the fact that Reyna didn't defend her or say anything. Thalia cleared her throat and continued, "Bellona told her to break up with me. Reyna said no, and your mom slapped her so hard that it drew blood. I just lost it from there."

"That bitch deserves more than just one punch," Hylla muttered with a shake of her head. "I can take you home if you would like."

"I appreciate that," Thalia said. Her gaze moved back to the car. Reyna looked up and met her gaze. She looked away immediately. This was going to be awkward.

"Thalia!"

"Thals!"

Thalia whipped around and looked at Percy and Annabeth. Percy jumped out of the car and ran toward Thalia, "Are you okay?"

"Yeah. Other than the broken knuckles," Thalia replied. Annabeth was a step behind Percy. "Hylla bailed me out, so I owe her back."

"You don't owe me," Hylla declined. "Seriously. You gave me the best gift ever by punching her."

"Punching?" Percy interrupted.

"Punched who?" Annabeth asked.

"I can try talking to my mom to get her to drop the charges," Hylla continued as she ignored the other two. "If that doesn't work, I can try getting Reyna to talk to her to drop the charges."

"Thanks, Hylla. I appreciate it," Thalia said.

"Anytime. Seriously. Anytime," Hylla said with a small smirk. She nodded to Thalia and then walked toward her car. Thalia turned toward Annabeth and Percy. A deep sigh left her. "It's a long story."

"Well, we can get you food, and you can tell us after," Annabeth offered. Thalia nodded. Her mind felt like it was a million miles away. She looked at Annabeth, who watched her in concern. Then, her gaze moved to Percy. He had the same look of concern.

"Yeah," Thalia said softly. "Food sounds nice."

"Can I see your hand? Percy asked. Thalia nodded and held up her hand. Percy carefully examined her knuckles. His lips pursed as he did. His... red lips? Thalia blinked and turned her head. She looked at Annabeth's lips. Which were red.

"Hoooollllyyyy shiiiiiit!" Thalia gasped in excitement. "You two kissed!"

Percy stiffened, and his cheeks turned red. Annabeth had the same red tint as well. Thalia stared at them, "When?!"

"Right before we got the call from you," Percy said after a moment.

"You finally did it?" Thalia asked him.

"I kissed him," Annabeth corrected. Thalia whipped her head toward her and was met with narrowed eyes. "How long did you know?"

"Oh babe," Thalia began. Annabeth glared at her. "Give me all the details!"

"You first," Annabeth ordered. She sat in the car. Thalia sat down in the passenger's seat, and Thalia was forced to sit in the back.

"Alright," Thalia began. "It all started when Reyna and I were making out."

"I still can't believe the two of you kissed," Thalia exhaled again as she continued to snack on her fries. Percy glanced back at her, and he shook his head.

"I still can't believe it," Percy agreed. He moved his eyes to Annabeth, who was grabbing their drinks out of the car. "It was amazing."

"Sorry to interrupt you guys with the whole 'being arrested' thing," Thalia said with a shrug. Percy rolled his eyes. "So, are you two..."

"I really don't know," Percy began. He shook his head and opened his door. "I don't know."

"Hey, Annabeth!" Thalia called as she looked back behind them. Percy tried to shush her and nearly knocked a fry out of Thalia's hand. "You and Percy dating or what?"

A blush came to Annabeth's face. And Percy's as well. Thalia just looked between them and waited for an answer, "Because if you guys could wait like two months, Nico is going to owe me a hundred dollars."

"I'm tired of waiting," Percy decided after a moment. He looked at Annabeth. "So, would you go out with me?"

"I think I will," Annabeth said. Thalia threw her arms around the shoulder of both of them and led them inside. "We should get dinner the next day when both of us are off."

"Yeah," Percy agreed. "That's a great idea."

"Awww. My two lovebirds," Thalia teased. At least someone was having luck with their relationship. Thalia wasn't sure where she stood with Reyna now. Were they still dating? Did Bellona get her way? Could Thalia punch that homophobic bitch in the face again?

"I'm going to text Nico," Thalia decided. "He's going to love this."

Percy rolled his eyes. He walked away and came back with a towel and a pack of ice. Thalia winced as it was carefully wrapped around her hand. That was definitely going to be bruised for a while. Thalia sat down on the couch, and the other two sat with her in the middle.

"I can move out of the way if you want," Thalia teased. Annabeth hit her arm hard, jolting her hand. "Ow!"

"Sorry," Annabeth said.

"You are not!" Thalia protested.

"Not really," Annabeth agreed. Thalia scowled and then pouted. She focused back on the ice on her hand. A sigh left her. Thalia wished she could have spent the night making out with her girlfriend. Instead, she was going to be alone not sure what the future held. All she could do was hope that it was something good.
