Chapter 9 : 4:05 am
The trio has arrived at the entrance of Monty's mini golf attraction. There were cutouts of the mascots playing mini golf. One was Roxanne snapping her putter over her knee in a fit of rage. Although she won't admit it, she was pretty bad at mini golf. Golf putters would often get broken over her missing a shot, or some other petty reason. She was much better at racing go-karts.
"I bet that's pretty accurate," Gregory chuckled.
"I heard that," Roxanne said. Now she felt embarrassed.
Jeremy ignored the two. Instead he groaned when he saw a ticket bot similar to the one from Fazer Blast. "Not this again."
"Party pass needed to enter," the robot said.
"I know, but I don't fricken have one. But I need to enter, because there's a fricken alligator wanting to harm a child!"
The robot was unfazed, "party pass needed to enter."
Jeremy face-palmed, "how stupid can you be?"
Gregory pulled out his blaster, and shot the robot. "Warning, tampering with Fazbear automated staff will result in a suspension of your membership," the robot said. Roxanne didn't want to wait any longer and punched the robot. Its head flew off on impact, and its body fell.
"Jokes on you, I don't need a membership," she said. Jeremy and Gregory looked at each other for a moment. They were impressed that she made a great one-liner.
They entered the elevator, and descended. When they got off, they saw what looked like a giant swamp. There was a ball pit river, alligator animatronics, and a mini golf course. The trio started down the path, searching for Monty. Roxanne spotted him on the catwalk above.
"He's up there," she said, pointing in the direction of Monty.
"I don't see anything, Roxanne," Jeremy said.
"I forgot to tell you, but I can see really well with my eyes." Jeremy sighed, he really wished he'd known that earlier.
"Alright gang, here's the plan. Roxanne, you come up from behind Monty and tackle him. Gregory, you go look in the security office for anything useful. It can be another key card, or anything to defend ourselves. And as for me, I'll come up with a distraction."
Gregory raised his hand, "Wouldn't it make more sense to use my blaster?"
Jeremy answered, "good observation, Gregory. However he wears sunglasses, so that might impede the laser beam. Also he's a lot more dangerous than Chica, so you'll have to sit this one out."
"But i want to help," he said
Roxanne put her paw on his shoulder. "You are helping, Gregory. We just want you to be safe," she reassured him.
"Alright, are you guys ready?" the others nodded. "Alright, let's do it!"
Jeremy went up a staircase, while Roxanne went to the other staircase. Monty was sleeping on the catwalk, his back against the railing. Jeremy saw Roxanne at the other end of the catwalk. Then he walked closer to the gator, then his ax banged on the catwalk. Monty woke up, then looked at Jeremy. He growled at him.
"Ah, if it isn't the security guard. Are you ready to get pounded?"
Jeremy smiled, "No, but do you believe in fortune telling?"
"What? That's fake and you know it."
Jeremy shrugged. "Oh well, because my crystal ball is saying you're gonna become a handbag real soon."
Monty was now angry, "When I get my claws on you, I'll-"
He was interrupted by Roxanne. She body checked him, and he went over the railing. He was still hanging on by one claw. Jeremy walked over, and chopped off his metal fingers. The gator fell, hit a support structure, split in half, and then hit the ground. Jeremy and Roxanne looked down at his body. It was not a pretty sight.
"Wow, I didn't know Darth Maul had a sibling," Jeremy joked. Although Roxanne didn't get the reference.
The two examined Monty's body, he was somehow still alive. Jeremy noticed his eyes were not purple anymore. Maybe the fall made his system reboot. Jeremy lifted his ax in an attempt to finish him, but Roxanne stopped him
"I think we should leave him. He should feel the pain he inflicted on me and you guys. He doesn't deserve an easy way out," she said. Jeremy lowered his ax, then they left to look for Gregory.
The security office was pretty small compared to the one in the lobby. It only had one monitor, a desk, and a chair. Gregory's luck was minimal, he only found a camera that looked like Freddy and a key card. Then Jeremy and Roxanne walked through the door. Gregory was relieved, because he was getting pretty bored.
"How was your fight with Monty?" Gregory asked.
"It was a lot easier than we thought. Roxanne pretty much chucked him off the catwalk, then he split," Jeremy explained. "Hey did you find anything?"
"Yes, I found this keycard." Gregory handed Jeremy the key card, then clipped it on his lanyard. Gregory then pulled out a camera. "I'll take your guys' picture. Say cheese!"
"Wait Gregory no!" *Snap!* Roxanne covered her eyes, because she was blinded by the flash. "Gregory, what did I tell you about bright lights?!"
"Sorry Roxanne, I didn't know camera flashes made you blind. I thought it was just my ray gun."
Jeremy put a hand on his shoulder. "I guess you learned your lesson, Gregory. Let's see how the picture turned out." He grabbed the photo from the front of the camera. He tried not to laugh. It was Roxanne trying to cover her eyes, and Jeremy having a wide-eyed expression. Out of context, it looked like she saw something disgusting, while Jeremy watched. He showed Gregory, then he began to laugh as well.
Roxanne finally regained her sight, then looked at the picture. She got why they were laughing, but she felt a little down. Jeremy noticed her expression, then tried to cheer her up.
"Oh Roxanne, don't feel bad. Just imagine bold white letters saying something funny. For example, when pirates find treasure, but didn't expect the sun to be inside the chest instead." An image of pirates being blinded by the treasure's light popped in her head. Finally it made her laugh. It sounded ridiculous, but that's why it's so funny. "See Roxanne, laughing at yourself can be a good thing."
"Thank you Jeremy, I really needed that," she said after laughing.
"Anything for my Rockstar," he said. Roxanne was kind of surprised he used one of her lines.
"Rockstar? I thought that was my special name!" Gregory said in a silly voice.
Everyone burst out laughing, then they calmed down. Jeremy grabbed the camera and turned off the flash. "Alright, let's get a selfie together. Don't worry, I've turned off the flash." Roxanne and Gregory were on each side of him. Jeremey pressed the button, and a photo popped out the front. It turned out pretty well, it was definitely a keeper. "Another happy memory made," Jeremy said.
"Uh guys, what are we going to do about Freddy and Vanny?" Gregory asked.
Jeremy looked at his watch, it was ninety minutes until the doors opened. They had plenty of time to take them down and leave. "I think we should rest a little. Gregory and I can freshen ourselves up, and Roxanne can recharge." The others nodded in agreement. "Alright, we'll meet up at the entrance in thirty minutes. Let's go."
The guys went to use the restroom, while Roxanne went to a recharge station. After doing his business, Jeremy took out a tube of black face paint he found earlier. He squirted it onto his index finger, and put two lines on both cheeks. Jeremy unbuttoned his shirt, and tore off the sleeves. He put it back on, only it was still unbuttoned and sleeveless. He then took one of the sleeves and tied it around his head as a bandana. He looked like an action movie hero, but less muscular.
Gregory walked out of the stall, and saw Jeremy's new look. "What's with the getup, Jeremy?"
"I want to look cool. Plus that shirt was making me hot from all the exercise I did today."
"You look like a G.I. Joe action figure," Gregory said.
"I was actually hoping to look like Chuck Norris," Jeremy responded.
When they got done, they walked to the entrance of the mini golf course. It took Roxanne a moment to get there. Once she did, she giggled at Jeremy's new look.
"Why are you giggling?" Jeremy asked.
"The lines on your face look like mine," she explained.
It totally didn't cross Jeremy's mind that Roxanne also had black lines on her face. "Okay, that was purely unintentional. Let's just hop in the elevator and take those guys down once and for all."
They went into the elevator, and ascended to the atrium.
