LOCATION: HEADING TO EBENTEN
After picking up Qrow and Summer from Vale, where they were buying a birthday gift for Summer's eldest daughter, the two had to get picked up by the airship where Glynda is, as they quickly flew towards Ebenten, and now the three of them are waiting.
"I'm sorry for dragging you two on an unexpected mission. You two were on break for getting a birthday gift for your daughter." Glynda apologises to the two Huntsmen who are sitting on seats.
It's alright, Glynda." A woman with black hair with red tips assured her. "I'm sure that Yung can understand that her super mum needs to save the world before her birthday." She said, smiling and staring at Glynda with her silver eyes.
"Ain't you forgetting someone?" A black-haired man -who smells like alcohol as well- next to a silver-eyed woman asked annoyedly, to which the silver-eyed woman giggled. Then his face changed to a smirk, and he said to her. "Plus, I think I'm more super than you." The man received a punch on the arm from her, and he laughed at the punch.
Glynda forms a smile at the two while they are bickering about who is the coolest. After watching for a few seconds, she stopped their arguing by shouting at them. Alright, Qrow, Summer, you can stop your bickering and listen to what is happening in Ebenten."
She started to explain the situation. When Ozpin is concerned that he cannot call them back after getting an emergency call, the alarming Grimm attack all over Vale, Huntsman, and Huntress, dealing with the attack, the lack of them, and even the unknown creature that suddenly appears.
Both Qrow and Summer dissolve the information they heard from her. Qrow and Summer looked at each other, then turned to Glynda with a smirk; both spoke at the same time. "So it's an alien?"
Oh, for God's sake. Not you too..." Glynda's facepalm made Qrow and Summer laugh, which made Glynda even more annoyed. Slowly, Summer was the first to stop laughing, followed by Qrow as her face turned to confusion when she realised something.
"Wait if it is an actual alien. Then the Brothers are-"
"Back?" Glynda finished and added. "I did ask that question to Ozpin before, but..." She pauses, with both Qrow and Summer leaning in, curious to hear Ozpin's answer. "Ozpin suddenly became upset. talking about how the creature—" She emphasises 'creature' as she glares at them, and they both smile sheepishly. "...was not made by the Gods and said that the Gods didn't create other life forms..."
Glynda looks at them to see their reaction. Summer looks in deep thought at Ozpin's odd answer, while Qrow... looks relaxed, not alarmed by the answer, with his arms crossed and leaning back. "Maybe there is a reason why he acted like that. I mean, we all know that Oz has a lot of skeletons in his closet, and we all have to admit some of his secrets are... questionable. But we still trust him." Three nodded in agreement, but Glynda added.
"Well, there is one that confuses me the way Ozpin said it. It's like he's sure that they didn't create it." Glynda said. They all frowned and said nothing, ending the conversation.
All three sat in awkward silence. Glynda was rereading the report of the unknown creature and tried to find anything she missed. Qrow just stared at the floor with his arms crossed in quiet contemplation, sometimes taking a sip of his flask, and Summer...
"OKAY!" Summer suddenly shouted, making Qrow and Glynda turn to her with their eyebrows raised. "I know we heard some serious, weird, and supernatural stuff that we probably are going to ask Oz later. BUT!" She brings her finger up and then continues. "Let's talk about something else. Like Glynda, how are you?" She asked.
Glynda took a second to reply, scratching her cheek. "I'm mostly tired because I've been working a lot and doing pa-"
"NAH, NAH, NAH, NOPE!" Summer suddenly appears in front of her in a bust of white petals, putting her finger on Glynda's lips. "What I meant is, what are you doing besides work? Are you going out, doing anything fun... seeing someone?." She smiled cheekily at her, and in the background, Qrow laughed, slapping his knee, while Glynda blushed at the last part.
"W, W, WHAT! NO! I'm not seeing anyone. Plus, I don't have any time to do any of that." Glynda stuttered her words. She took a deep breath, rubbed the bridge of her nose, and spoke. "I have been busy with lots of things, Summer. Like teaching the students, hundred of paperwork to write, dealing with troublemaker and expectedly Ozpin." She growled as she clutched her scroll, almost breaking it. "Last week, he let a team prank Peter by dyeing his moustache a rainbow colour after they bribed him with his favourite drink. Poor Peter has to walk around in Beacon until it's all gone."
"Huh, he got pranked by the same one we did to him," Qrow says with a grin. Summer and Glynda took seconds to realise what he was talking about. Summer quickly put her hand on her mouth, muffing her laugh, and Glynda facepalmed, groaning in irritation.
How did I forget!? Glynda thought mortify as Qrow cackled and Summer pulled her hood over her face, still holding her mouth. Back when they were students at Beacon, three members of Summer Team STRQ and one of her teammates decided to prank Peter Port when he was a teacher's assistant with the same prank but with a different outcome. Her remaining Team GOLD and Summer tried to stop them but accidentally helped them, much to their horror.
Glynda tried to take away the dyes on their hands by using her Telekinesis, but someone Semblance decided it would be perfect to give her bad luck by somehow tripping her on the floor, unintentionally flinging the dyes towards Peter, dyeing him, and worst of all, getting some into his eyes, making him scream in agony.
Glynda remembers seeing Qrow and his sister bust out laughing, holding their chests, while she, Summer, and their teammates (including the other two who just want to dye Peter's moustache) looked horrified.
All of them later got detention after deputy headmaster Pendragon, who was teaching with Peter in the same class. Both teams got an earful from him, who told them as their leaders they needed to be responsible for their teammates, order them, discipline them, and work together.
This... how both teams met because of that prank. Both leaders talked in the room together about the hardships of being leaders and teammates, while their teammates chatted with each other, arguing and throwing insults at each other. The day they form a friendship.
Even if it was a rough start and they had disagreements with one another, their bonds grew and became stronger every day. They still got into trouble many times, even if her team tried not to, but STRQ always drags them everywhere. For example, STRQ asks them to join them in finding a serial killer in Vale who was killing people in the dead of night, other times they ask them to take down a criminal organisation that was selling slaves; and they even ask them to join them on a normal day when they are going to the beach.
It was going fine at first until they got attacked and grabbed by a giant octopus, Grimm. Glynda shuddered, still traumatised by the experience. Remembering how its tentacles move around their bodies, leaving behind sucker marks, and going to-
Glynda shook the disturbing thought away and slapped her cheek for good measure; her cheek turned red from it. Even in a life-threatening situation, they still made it out alive and turned out fine (except the last one).
She looks up at her friends as they calm down a bit. Glynda smiles warmly as she remembers that they were dumb kids back then, doing dumb things and getting into trouble. Then her smile faded away when it all changed when they were in their final years at Beacon and Ozpin told her and team STRQ about this world.
Gods, relics, Maidens, the creatures of Grimm, magic, and the enemy they are fighting. All of them join his secret war to fight for the whole world they live in against the queen of the Grimm who wants to destroy the world. After that, several things happened that changed them. Qrow's twin sister left them and her family to return to her tribe, and Qrow became an alcoholic from the failed mission he was on because someone they knew died; Summer tried to be a positive person and keep others happy in the group knowing that she has a target on her back, including her daughter, because of their silver eyes.
And then Glynda became a hardened teacher in Beacon. Though she is glad that her team didn't join Ozpin's inner circle and know everything (though her green-haired friend would love to learn lots of history that Ozpin hides from the whole world), she doesn't want to lose her closest friends in this war... Although she became distant from her partner in Beacon.
She became a teacher because she needed to teach the students how to become Huntsman and Huntress. To teach them how to fight, survive, work in a team, be responsible, and protect humans and Faunus from the Grimm and people who want chaos in this kill-or-be-kill world.
If she doesn't. They will die...
"Glyn, are you alright?" Glynda looked up at them as Qrow and Summer stopped what they were doing and noticed her being quiet for a long time, looking at her worriedly.
Before she can reply, they hear the intercom turn on, and then the pilot speaks in a panicked voice. "Um, you three better come look at this."
All three of them quickly walked to the cockpit, moved inside, and looked at where the pilot was looking. Then they all gasped as their faces turned to horror as they saw what happened to Ebenten. One of the mighty outer walls of Ebenten has fallen as something exploded from inside, opening the way for a horde of Grimm as they rush through and flying Grimm over the city. They heard the roar of the Grimm, guns being fired, the explosion around the city, and the scream of fear in Ebenten as all of them had a horrifying realisation.
Ebenten is being attacked by the Grimm.
"GET US DOWN THERE NOW!" Qrow shouted at the pilot as the others prepared themselves for what was about to happen.
The pilot was about to respond when they heard a loud screech. All look at the sound and scream as a giant Nevermore flies towards them with its claw stretched out, ready to claw them out of the sky.
The pilot quickly pushes the control wheel down, sending the airship down and dodging its claw as it scrapes the top of the airship. The pilot pulls the control wheel, bringing the airship back up to the sky and almost hitting the building. All of them sigh in relief. Summer pats the pilot on the back and gives him a thumbs up; he smiles back. But it goes away when they hear the same Grimm screeching behind them. They turn to it and see that it is not alone.
A swarm of flying Grimm alongside the Nevermore chased them, screeching and roaring behind them.
"BLOODY HELL! Why the hell the sentry gun is not shooting them out of the sky!?" Qrow shouted as he and the others brought out their weapons.
Glynda rushed to the window to look at the sentry gun on top of the walls and gasped as she noticed they were down or destroyed. She turned to them with a panicked look and told them. They're all down!" All gasp what she said and before they could ask more. The pilot leans the airship to the side, dodging a fireball.
Glynda went back to the window to see what attacked them, and her jaw dropped as she saw a Manticore flying towards them and charging another fireball.
Why is there a Manticore here!? Glynda thought frightfully as the Manticore shot another fireball, almost hitting the engine. They were supposed to be in Anima, yet there's only one—wait, there are a dozen of them!? Glynda looks down at the city and sees Grimm from other continents here. A Petra Gigas made out of rock and stone charges through a line of soldiers, stomping on and crushing them. A Teryxes picks up a man from the sky and then brutally bites the man's head off, dropping his headless body to the ground and proceeding to pick another one.
Glynda can only watch helplessly as the people of Ebenten die under them. She watches as a family of four tries to run away, only for them to be ambushed by a pack of beowolfs. She turned her head away and shut her eyes so she would not witness their deaths, even inside the airship. She could hear their screams for help.
Glynda reopens her eyes to see the others as they watch from another window. Summer has tears welling up in her eyes as she clutches Qrow's hand for comfort while he growls at the sight and the pilot frantically flies away from the black swarm of death...
Oh, wait, they are still being chased by a black swarm of death.
Glynda's eyes widen, and she rushes the pilot, grabbing the seat behind him "Get us in the inner city, hurry!" She ordered him. The pilot complies, bringing the airship to the dock as the Grimm get closer and closer behind them.
The airship went into the inner walls, and they saw buildings destroyed, several areas of terrified and injured citizens huddling together, soldiers and Huntsmen fighting off the Grimm that tried to get through the inner gates, and engineer soldiers setting up defences and barricades around.
She and others heard the loud screech coming from the Nevermore as it hovered away and called the other Grimm back, but some of the younger ones eagerly flew towards them, only for them to get shot down by the soldiers and Huntsmen from the ground.
The pilot landed the airship at Ebenten dock and opened the door. All three of them rushed out of the airship and saw several Huntsmen and soldiers rushing towards them.
The first person is a Huntsmen in his middle age with a bushy moustache, wearing a fine suit with a black suit jacket and underneath a black vast and white collar suit. In his hand was a buffalo rifle that was used for hunting a herd of Grimm decades ago until people started to use better weapons to hunt them. It is not unheard of that Huntsmen and Huntresses still use antique weapons.
"You all alright?" He asked as the others behind him came, and then he asked them again. "I'm Pat Garrett, and I'm wondering how the hell y'all find out we are being attacked by the Grimm?"
"...We didn't," Summer admitted, confusing and shocking them, then continuing as they walked out of the airport. "The Headmaster of Beacon has received a Huntsmen emergency call from here. He tried to call Ebenten but didn't get a response, so he sent us to check, and... this is not what we expected..." She pauses as she and the others look at the situation around them. It was much worse from the air.
They saw buildings destroyed and on fire; humans and Faunus screaming in agony; children crying for their parents; doctors trying to calm the injured people as they tried to help them; Huntsmen and soldiers guarding the areas around. All three of them saw many things, but there was one that will forever burn in their memories. A father begs the doctors to help his daughter. Unfortunately, the girl is missing half of her body, but her father still begged for their help as he cried.
"Well, thank Gods, the Huntsmen's emergency calls were made for this. We couldn't call for any help because the communication is jammed by something." Pat said he was grateful but also confused Summer and the others, which he took notice of and added with dread to his words. "Yeah, this is a planned attack by someone. We don't know why and how they planned this, but one thing is known: the bastards are willing to kill innocent people and destroy our homes.
Glynda and other Huntsmen gasped in horror and anger at what they heard. Why would someone attack Ebenten, where the Vale army and weapons are trained and made? A powerful city outside of Vale for the homes of Humans and Faunus to live together, so why?
They pause as they think it through again, and their eyes widen in realisation. The Grimm attack was planned. The Grimm can become intelligent and dangerous as they grow older and can order the younger Grimm to attack people. But they are not that smart to plan several attacks all over Sanus unless...
It was her...
Their scared and panicked looks didn't go unnoticed as Pat asked them, raising an eyebrow. "Do you three know something?"
Glynda quickly changes into a serious look. Answering him as she thought more about the attack. "Ah, we just realised that the perpetrators jammed the communication and bombed the city to let the Grimm in." She said, putting her hand on her chin. "They wanted the Grimm to destroy and kill everyone here, causing Vale to lose this city and the military's power."
"But there is one thing that confuses me." A Huntsmen with a rocket hammer spoke up, turning everyone's head to him. "If they wanted to destroy everything, why didn't they bomb the armoury and the supplies?" He told everyone.
"Because it's not over yet." Summer said, her eyes widening. Everyone turned to her, dreading what she was about to say. "This is only the beginning, and there is going to be another attack."
"B-by who?! Terrorist?!" One of the soldiers yelled in panic, leading other soldiers and people who overheard the conversation to panic. But all of them were silenced by a loud BANG, and all turned to see Pat pointing his gun up in the air as smoke came out of the barrel.
Pat put his rifle down, reloading a bullet in it as he apologised to Summer. "Sorry about that, dear. What were you saying?"
Summer blinks a couple of times before explaining again. "Well, as was I saying. The perpetrators will send people to attack the city and steal the weapons for themselves, but we don't know who they're going to send."
"Maybe mercenaries?" One of the soldiers suggested something that made Qrow scoff, then spoke to everyone.
"Mercenaries do anything for money involving kidnapping, stealing, or assassinating somebody. But they are not that crazy to attack Ebenten because some mercenaries group weapons and supplies are made here and delivered for them." Qrow paused, chuckling a bit. Plus, they would be pissed off that someone destroyed their supplier," Qrow explained to them.
"We can figure it out later. Right now we must protect these people until the communication is back on or Vale realises what's happening here and comes to help." Glynda said as the others nodded. Pat and the other Huntsmen went to help the soldiers at the inner gates and told them about another attack coming.
Glynda, Summer, and Qrow looked at each other and nodded, knowing what to do. Summer went to the command centre to help send orders around and determine where to set up more defence. Qrow went to help soldiers with his weapon, the Harbinger. Glynda took out her Disciplinarian and helped move the injured people with her Telekinesis.
As the three of them were helping the people and the soldiers of Ebenten, unbeknownst to them, there was someone hidden from view watching them, especially Summer as she helped around. "The show is about to get interesting." The stalker spoke excitedly as their half-comedy mask smiles widen.

LOCATION: THE BANDIT'S CAMP
Far from the city of Ebenten, In a forest there are dozen of tents and hundreds of bandits from different tribes eagerly raiding the city as they readying their weapons and armour, double-checking their cars, and setting up machine guns on top of it. In a teat, several of the tribe's leaders discussed the plan of the attack. But their person is not with them.
In the midden of the camp, there is a bigger tent than the others. Inside the tent are the leader of the Burning Wing, a former Branwen, and the leader of the attack on Ebenten, whose name is Hawk. Hawk was sitting on his knee in the dark, with light candles around him. In front of him was an oni mask similar to a Grimm mask on a stand, and next to him was a two-handed spiked Kanebo called Tsuyoi.
He is a giant of a man wearing samurai armour with crimson and black colours, made out of leather and iron scales for mobility. He has two spiked shoulder pads; both arms are covered by armour, and a line of spikes is on his forearm. He has a gauntlet, and at the fingertip are claws. His legs are covered by chainmail armour, protecting his thighs and upper legs.
He is holding a teacup and slowly taking a sip. The tea he drinks of his own making with ingredients to help him calm his mind and relax his body. He doesn't like to show it to others, but he is proud of his tea. So proud that he even teaches his niec-
The cup shatters in his hand, spilling the tea everywhere. Hawk stared at it before angrily throwing the broken cup away. This is the fifth time this happen and he keeps getting anger and anger every time because he keeps thinking of them.
Hawk was breathing slowly then closing his eyes trying to calm his mind and- "Boss, we have a problem." A man went into Hawk's tent, interrupting his meditation. Hawk punches the ground, and slowly turns to him, causing the man to flinch as he saw Hawk's face. Several scars cover the right side of his face, and a large scar is across his face from the left to go down his lip. The other side however is shrouded by shadow though the man at the tent entrance felt tense looking at his shadowy face. Even in the shadow, the man still sees that thing on his face when Hawk met that woman.
"What is the problem, Billy?" Hawk sternly inquired of the man named Billy, bringing back his senses.
The man name Billy is wearing a brown coat and vest, and a red scarf around his neck. He is wearing a dirty grey shirt inside, brown ripped jeans with leather knee pads, boots, and an ammo belt around his waist.
Plus he is wearing a top hat for some reason.
Billy's weapon is a scoped revolver rifle that can transform into a small revolver.
Billy the Kid is a cowboy from the kingdom of Vacuo when Hawk and his tribe was in. They first meet when Hawk broke into the prison to recruit strong prisoners to join his tribe. Is also where Billy was about to get executed for his crimes and Hawk saw potential in the boy, so he recruits him and Billy became his right-hand man.
"The scout reported that a bullhead fly to Ebenten from Vale," Billy told Hawk. "Plus it is a Beacon airship and somehow I think that they sent a call away before the city was bombed. Sorry boss" He rubbed his head, looking down.
"It's not your fault, They probably use the Emergency Huntsman Caller," Hawk said and then muttered. "Damn you scorpion simp, did you mess around again?" Then he stood up, grabbed his mask and his Kanebo, and put on his mask. He then turned to Billy and asked. "Huntsman?"
"Nah, they didn't see them." Billy shake his head and then asked him. "So boss, are we still doing the attack?"
"Yeah, we are," Hawk said as he was about to head out followed by Billy. They both went outside heading to the middle of the camp where everyone stopped what they doing and watched them stop in the middle. Hawk looked around seeing everyone watching him and he took a deep breath and then shouted.
"ALRIGHT, EVERYONE! In a couple of minutes, we are starting the raid soon, but we got a report of a bullhead heading to Ebenten and maybe Huntsmen in that airship." He pause as the bandits and tribes leaders murmured. Then he bust out laughing and shouted, grinning behind his mask. "But that doesn't FUCKING MATTER! Who cares if they got more Huntsmen from the 'best school for Huntsmen'." He mocks them causing the bandits to laugh. "They won't stop us from what we wanted. Those weak law binding slack of shit think their soldiers and their walls can protect from us. Well, they are wrong because WE ARE STRONGER! They are." He brings his arms out to them. "Let your desires run wild. Steal their shit, kill their warriors, rape their woman and show them that in this world only the strong live and the weak die."
All the bandits cheered as they started to arm themselves with swords, guns, crossbows and other weapons of war and went to the cars, turning on the engine as it roar to life and driving toward the city of Ebenten follow by an army of bandits behind them.
"Sent the orders to the other's camp," Hawk orders Billy as he took out a radio. Hawk has to admit he is excited to attack the city. It had been so long since he felt like that, back when he was in the Branwen tribe he and the leader raided strongholds, arm convoys and rival tribes. Taking their things and killing them, filling their bloodlust and that was the good old days.
But after the leader died from her. Everything changed because of that duel. They stop raiding strongholds, raiding fewer towns, and even she let the villagers go before the Grimm come. She said she still believes in their philosophy, but she has gotten weaker... They have gotten weaker.
He wishes they never went to that damn school.
"Huh, the west side camp not answering," Billy said, bringing Hawk out of his thought. "Should we worry about them?" He asked which Hawk reply with a huff.
"I'm sure everything is okay over there." He only said which Billy shrugged. He is pretty sure they just dealing with some Grimm.

LOCATION: WEST SIDE CAMP
EVERYTHING IS NOT OKAY! A tribe leader thought frightfully as he painfully clawed away because of his broken leg. He looked back to see the camp in chaos. Tents on fire or destroyed, mangled corpses litter the ground everywhere, the sound of gunfire and a monstrous roar.
A few minutes ago, they were about to head out for the raid when they heard screaming, and then a scarred reptile monster busted into the camp and started to kill everyone. Some tried fighting back, but all were quickly killed off by the monster's punches and bites. And when some tried to run away, it started to breathe FIRE at them! burning them to a crisp.
Then he saw a group of bandits running away, screaming, before they were jumped by a scarred monster blocking their path. The monster laughed gleefully as it ripped and bit them apart, but one female bandit managed to get away before running away.
She didn't notice the tree in front of her before slamming into it. She groaned, rubbed her head, and gasped as the monster saw her and ran towards her. The bandit tried to shoot the monster away, but the bullets bounced off its skin as it rears its arm back.
Her scream was cut off as the monster punched through her chest and the tree behind her, instantly killing her. The monster growls as it tears its arm out of the tree and falls to the ground, but its arm is stuck in the bandit's chest. Then it started to devour the bandits while in its arm in seconds until there was nothing left of her, leaving a pile of flesh and bone on the ground.
Then the leader turned to see a group of his bandits charging towards the monster. The monster turned to them and roared at them, charging at them as well. The bandit yelped as he felt something grab his shoulders, dragging him away from the monster as it massacred the bandits attacking it.
"Come on, boss. Let's get out of here." He turned to see a man, dragging him as he thanked the man profusely, but turned in terror when he saw the monster finishing off the last bandits and turning to them, roaring and running towards them.
The man dragging him dropped him, quickly pulling out his gun from his holsters, but didn't have enough time to point at it as the monster backhanded him. Sending him flying into a tree, where his back slams against it with a sickening crack, and his body falls to the ground. His spine bent the wrong way as he lay lifeless.
The leader was scared shitless of what he saw and screamed as the monster turned back at him and smiled wickedly. He brought his right arm out, and on top of his arm was a mini flamethrower. Then flame jetted out from it, blasting the monster's face with it.
He was about to claw away when the monster's hand shot out from the fire, grabbing his arm and crushing both his arm and mini flamethrower, the bones breaking and blood gushing out. He screamed in agony, trying to pry his arm out, but all in vain when the monster smiled—its face looking perfectly fine—and tore his arm off his shoulder.
He screamed louder than before, then started to beg the monster to stop as his eyes started to tear up. But it didn't listen as it tore his body apart while he screamed more. one by one.
After a few minutes. All that was left of him were torn pieces of his body. Blood, organs, and other unidentified parts shattered on the bloody grass. The monster stared at the bloody remains of the leader and huffed, annoyed.
He got so involved in killing everyone that he didn't have a chance to fight anyone strong, and everyone either died or ran away from him.
"Oh, Gods... I am alive? I AM AL-GAH!" Goliath grabbed a chuck off the ground and threw it towards the bandit, who had celebrated too early, killing him. Now everyone is dead.
Goliath sniffed the air, turning towards the direction of the city and smelling the death and chaos over there. Then he went on all fours and ran towards the city, eager to fight some stronger Humans. Leaving behind a burning forest filled with gore and death.
